Kevin and I were watching a Square Pegs marathon a few months ago (I love that show) and he mentioned to me that Jami Gertz, who played the perpetually preppy Muffy Tepperman, owns our hometown NBA team, the Atlanta Hawks. After some Googling, I discovered that he was correct. Jami?s husband, Tony Ressler, purchased the team in 2015 for $720 million. Back in May, Jami was the public face of the team at the draft lottery, freaking out fans in the process.

Emma Stone is a nice looking redhead. Sure she doesnt really sex things up ever because shes a serious actress, but I guess she doesnt have to since she won an Oscar. Such a shame! Anyway, lets hope her career takes a turn for the worst and she becomes a desperate Instagram model. []

When Busy Philipps first announced she?d written a memoir, I was skeptical that should would have much to say in it. I was wrong. Unfortunately, much of what has come out of This Will Only Hurt a Little so far has been gutting to read. Busy shared the story of her sexual assault at the age of 14 and being knocked to the ground by James Franco when she was 20. In the latest except, Busy discusses getting an abortion when she was 15 despite being harangued by her boyfriend?s mother not to. But Busy also said she found some peace when she asked Pope John Paul II for forgiveness and he gave it to her.
In ?This Will Only Hurt a Little,? Philipps writes that after becoming pregnant with her first serious boyfriend?s child, his mother got involved, telling her, ?You?re being selfish .?.?. You?re going to murder a baby.?
Philipps says her parents found out from her diary and her mother stood up for her.
?My mother is who you want in your corner,? she writes, saying she ?just supported and loved me.?
After the procedure, Philipps recalls, she went on a trip with her school to the Vatican, when Pope John Paul II spoke to her in Italian and made the sign of the cross.
?I never told this story publicly .?.?. I haven?t even told people I?m very close with,? she says. ?It doesn?t work for me without getting the absolution I needed. And from the only person in the world who could give it to me: the Pope in Rome.?
The date, she writes, ?was my due date.?

This is such a deeply personal experience. I assume from this story that Busy is Catholic and that is why she felt the Pope was the only person who could absolve her. If that?s the case, I?m happy she had that resolution as it must have brought her some peace. I don?t think an abortion is an easy decision at any age, but I can?t imagine what it must have been like trying to decide what to do at 15 with your boyfriend?s mother accusing you of murder. Thank goodness her mother was in her corner as was, I guess, the Pope. That fact that she was granted absolution on her due date pings my heart the most.
I am a fan of Busy?s but like many others, I got a bit oversaturated with her last year. Learning how much she?s survived and at such a young age, though, I think her ?live out loud? personality may be a coping mechanism. I?m happy she is finally able to talk about these things that she?s kept bottled up. This Will Only Hurt a Little will be released next Tuesday and her talk show, Busy Tonight, will air on E! on the 28th.

Here are some photos of Keira Knightley at Thursday night?s premiere of Colette, as part of the BFI London Film Festival. Keira wore this rather interesting Chanel gown? or is it a two-piece? The thing about this is that I feel like either part would have made a stunning dress, but put together? it sort of looks off-kilter a little bit? Like, if this was a simple white gown entirely using that skirt material, it would have been lovely. If the beaded top was a cocktail dress, it would have been incredible. Even putting the top with a pair of silver-grey silk trousers would have been awesome. Still, she does look good here.
Meanwhile, as we covered previously, Keira contributed an essay for a feminist essay collection called Feminists Don?t Wear Pink (And Other Lies). Keira?s essay was all about the beauty standards for women, and how it?s awful that we, as a society, expect new mothers to look done-up with hair and makeup right after giving birth. Keira name-checked the Duchess of Cambridge for her happy and breezy photocall with Princess Charlotte just seven hours after giving birth. Well, ?palace sources? had some sh-t to say to Us Weekly:
?Keira is obviously entitled to her own opinion, but it was very much based on her own experiences and not of Kate?s. Not every mother feels the same way,? the Palace source told Us. ?Keira?s comments were simply for attention and they weren?t justified.?
The source added that Kate was happy to have her her picture on the Lido Wing steps and pointed out, ?she wouldn?t have done the photo call a second and third time if she was uncomfortable.? Though Kate managed to look flawless after giving birth, she has never claimed being a mother is easy. ?Kate has spoken out about the struggles of parenthood,? the source noted.

Honestly, I doubt Keira is even really on Kate?s radar. Palace sources might have sniffed ?Keira?s comments were simply for attention? but I doubt Kate really cares one way or the other. And for what it?s worth, Keira?s comments weren?t simply for attention she had a point about society and mommyshaming and all of that, she just made her point poorly. Incidentally, at this premiere, Keira was asked about the essay, and she said this:
?I think it?s very interesting that certain parts of the media have, I don?t want to say purposefully, but let?s just say misrepresented my meaning and exactly what I said. So I would suggest to those people in the media that they re-read the entirety of the essay and not just take one bit out of it because the comments that I made are completely about our culture that silences women?s truths and forces us all to hide and I absolutely did not shame anybody in any way, in fact quite the opposite. So I would say to everybody, there is a wonderful book out at the moment, it?s called Feminists Don?t Wear Pink (And Other Lies) and I suggest if you want to know about this then you should actually read the essay and all the others in the book and the wonderful thing is that all the proceeds go to Girl Up which is a phenomenal UN foundation which gives money to organisations that are supporting girls? education, girls? safety and girls? leadership in developing countries.?

Well, it?s more complicated than that too! It?s not black and white on either side. Keira shouldn?t just dismiss, out of hand, the idea that she ?shamed? other women, because some women did feel like she was judging and perhaps even shaming them for having completely different birth experiences. Oh, well. At least she got people talking about the book.

Here are some photos of Bradley Cooper, Irina Shayk and their baby girl Lea, out for a walk in New York last week. B-Coop was pap?d with girlfriend and daughter on the day A Star Is Born was released, which I?m sure is *totally* a coincidence, right? It?s a tried and true way to Oscar campaign for so many actors and actresses. Yes, talk about the work. Yes, shake all of the hands of the Academy voters. But also cultivate and maintain a ?happy family? brand in the press. Bradley has been reminding everyone that he?s in a quiet yet solid relationship with a beautiful model, and they have a lovely little daughter together. Irina, I feel, has been completely down with Bradley?s Oscar campaign too she wants to go to the Oscars. She wants to be thanked in his Oscar speech. But much like the speculation and gossip about how Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper really don?t like each other that much, there might be an issue in B-Coop and Irina?s happy-family image:
Bradley Cooper?s ?A Star Is Born? may be a hit at the box office ? but the actor and director did not appear to be on cloud nine at dinner with his baby-mama, Irina Shayk, on Tuesday. The couple had a low-key dinner date at Masa in the Time Warner Center, and spies told Page Six they were serving some major attitude to each other.
?They were not looking happy,? a spy told us. ?The couple sat down. He was in a hoodie and she was fresh-faced ? no makeup ? and they barely spoke to each other at the start of the meal. Halfway through, she started looking off to the side and he was moody.?
Cooper and model Shayk have been dating since at least 2015. The couple welcomed their first child together, daughter Lea, last year. A rep did not comment.

I mean? sometimes you?re just not in the mood. Sometimes you don?t want to talk to someone as you?re eating. Sometimes you just want to sit quietly in hostile silence. But I have no problem believing that they BOTH run hot and cold very easily, and that both of them are moody AF. Irina generally serves up some ice-queen realness, and Bradley just seems uncomfortable or constrained by trying to maintain this happy-family image. Will they make it to the Oscars? For sure. But will they make it beyond the Oscars? My guess is? yeah, probably. My prediction is that she gets pregnant again, and it will probably happen pretty soon. *stares grimly at Bradley as he passive-aggressively eats a sandwich*

Everyone is raving about Cara Delevingnes incredible tailored tuxedo at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbanks wedding. She was adorable and more than that she looked so comfortable. In the chapel before the wedding, when the camera was on her, Cara took off her top hat and fluffed out her cute asymmetric hair like it she had just air dried it.
