Before last summer, I thought there was a chance that Ben Foster and Robin Wright would just continue to do their on-and-off thing forever. Doesn?t it seem like Ben and Robin?s romance was incredibly melodramatic with all of the breakups and makeups? It was. But then suddenly last July, Ben stepped out with Laura Prepon. They were seen in public apparently just weeks into their new relationship. Then they announced their engagement last October! They had been dating for, at most, maybe four months. Now I?m getting a better idea of why everything seems to be on the express train with these two: she?s pregnant!
Laura Prepon is pregnant! The Orange Is the New Black star, 36, is expecting her first child with fianc Ben Foster, a source confirms to PEOPLE. The news comes a day after the couple attended the Creative Coalition?s annual Spotlight Awards at the Kia Supper Suite during the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday night.
?Ben seemed really protective and kept very close to Laura the entire night. He was holding on to her arm as they walked in and kept by her side during the dinner,? an onlooker tells PEOPLE. ?Neither of them got up much to mingle. They definitely enjoyed dinner. I noticed she finished her plate.?
Though sources confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple were engaged in October, the low-key duo, who have known each other for 18 years, had kept their relationship quiet.

I don?t get how the source?s quotes confirm the pregnancy? Ben and Laura went out to eat and Ben stayed close to her and she ate a lot = pregnant? Maybe she was just raised to clean her plate? I was raised that way. I think it?s rude to leave food on the plate. Anyway, I?m sure if People is confirming it that it?s actually happening, and that she must have been showing at this dinner. I wonder if they?ll be raising this kid in the church of Scientology? You know, because she?s a Scientologist and I?m pretty sure she honey-trapped Ben into it too.

Geena Davis is fighting the good fight for women’s representation in film and the small screen with her nonprofit, The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media. The Geena Davis Institute works to increase awareness and make changes around issues like stereotyping, a dearth of women in key roles, and lack of women on screen. As part of that, they analyze films and television to get statistics on women on screem. I was about to take The Daily Mail to task for just focusing on how great Geena looked at the Sundance film festival (where she was promoting her Bentonville Film Festival). They also posted an interview where she dropped some pretty thought-provoking facts I thought would make a better subject for the story, but it’s one of those older interviews which outlets stick into new stories as filler. (I hate when they do that, but at least it’s not on autoplay.) Here’s what she said and again these quotes are old but I wanted to talk about them.
“Our research shows that female characters are highly sexualized. Our global research shows that 13 year-old characters are equally sexualized as 39 year-old characters, which is horribly destructive and disgusting. So we really need to discuss it” [From video on Daily Mail]
That’s so depressing to me. Part of me doesn’t believe it, but the Geena Davis Institute of course has the hard facts to back this up because facts matter despite what gaslighting leaders say. Representation and portrayal of women and girls matters too and by having the facts we can help call for change. That’s why certain segments of the population hate facts. See how that works?
Geena is also promoting Dear Angelica, a new 12 minute animated VR story for the Oculus Rift. It’s roughly based on her life and is about the love between a mother and daughter. It features the voices of Geena and Mae Whitman. You can see a quick video about it on YouTube. It premieres on the Oculus Rift on Friday. We have an HTC Vive, which is decent, but I so want to see this. There’s such a problem with the way women are portrayed in video games especially and projects like this help.

Piers Morgan is a bloviating jackass. I tried to stop covering him last year, although some Piers-stories ended up creeping into my coverage just because he?s such an incessant troll, not to mention a racist and a misogynist. Piers decided to mock the very idea of the Women?s March over the weekend, making trollish tweets about how he is planning a Men?s March (EVERY DAY IS A MEN?S MARCH) to ?protest the creeping global emasculation of my gender by rabid feminists.? He got ripped apart online, which is what he wanted. But today, Ewan Mcgregor was supposed to appear on Good Morning Britain (the show Piers co-hosts) and Ewan refused to do the interview because of Piers? comments.
First of all, no, we don?t need to ?debate.? I?m a feminist and I?m not going to ?debate? with a knuckle-dragging misogynist because that sets up the false perspective that both sides are ?equal,? or both sides are making valid points. Women?s rights are not a debate. A woman?s agency over her body and her life are not part of some point-counterpoint discussion. Which is probably how Ewan felt, judging from this tweet-exchange with Piers.

Kaiser speculated yesterday that it seems like Pats fans have come around to Gisele. Over the years, Angelina Jolie has taken some modeling gigs. I think she?s always donated the money to charity. I remember when she was the face of St. John clothing, and how that contract pretty much built one of her charities from scratch. She also donated the money from her Louis Vuitton contract several years back. And back in 2007, she was the face of beauty company Shiseido, in ads that were only released in Japan. I don?t know if she donated that money or what, but I suspect she did. Still, it?s been a few years since Angelina got a modeling gig. I imagine she gets offers all the time ? say what you will about her acting skillz (I think she?s good, but I?m sure that?s a controversial opinion) ? but she?s a great model. And now she?ll be the new face of Guerlain Parfumeur’s latest perfume.
Angelina Jolie has scored a new gig. The Maleficent star has been named the face of Guerlain Parfumeur’s new fragrance for women. The collaboration between Jolie and the beauty brand came together in 2015 in Cambodia while the A-list actress was directing her film First They Killed My Father. Jolie’s affiliation of Guerlain has emotional roots, too, as it was one of her late mother’s favorite powders.
“We create perfumes for the women we admire,” said Jacques Guerlain in a press release. The scent, he said, was meant to express the idea of the “notes of a woman”: the choices, emotions and dreams that embody modern femininity. Jolie donated her entire salary from the Guerlain campaign to charity.

I can?t wait to see the print ads! I wonder if there will be commercials too. I hope not. While I love Charlize Theron?s modeling work, some of her Dior commercials make me cringe so hard, and I don?t want to see Jolie do the same kind of cringey stuff. Best to just do print ads. I want to smell the perfume too! I?m a perfume person ? CB is not! I love perfume, but something tells me this Guerlain scent is probably not going to be my cup of tea. (Then again, I’m wearing J.Lo Glow right now.)
