Eva Green is so beautiful to me, and I kind of dig her permanent goth-girl vibe. I like that she never tried to ?lighten? her styling or her energy to make herself appealing to consumers. Even on the cover of the Telegraph Magazine wearing bright pink, she still looks goth AF somehow. Eva is still (?) Tim Burton?s muse and possibly his lover/girlfriend, although they?ve both been pretty squirrelly about that over the years. Eva chatted with the Telegraph about Burton, anxiety and how happy she is that Harvey Weinstein is in prison. In 2017, she was one of the many actresses who spoke about how Weinstein harassed her and attempted to assault her but she pushed him off. Some quotes:

On the changing dynamics of the film industry post-Me Too: ?It is good, and there is still more to do. It is so radical for men it is very hard, they take so many hits. There are very good men.
On Tim Burton: My dream as a child, and later on, was always to work with him. I love his world. He is such a nice person as well.

It?s just nice that there are some women in the industry who aren?t making noise about ?forgiveness? or giving contrarian takes on Weinstein. He was and is a monster. Nearly every woman who interacted with him is glad he?s in prison.. As for ?for men it is very hard, they take so many hits? clearly, they still need to take more hits. And if they?re good men, they?ll understand that too.

I didn?t choose these photos of Eva Green specifically because they feature Roman Polanski. That was just a terrible accident. These photos are from this year?s Cannes premiere of Roman Polanski?s Based On a True Story, starring Eva and Emmanuelle Seigner, and these pics were literally the most recent photos we have of Eva. So, just take it at face value. Eva has no problem working with Roman Polanski. But she did have an issue working with Harvey Weinstein. The side-by-side isn?t even worth it, and let me be clear: the fact that Eva worked with Roman Polanski has nothing to do with the veracity of her claims about Harvey Weinstein. She can be the victim of Weinstein?s sustained sexual harassment, AND she can be an a–hole for working with Polanski.
First, Eva?s mother Marlene Jobert (a French actress) said in a radio interview that Weinstein sexually harassed Eva for two years:
The mother of actress Eva Green says the James Bond actress was targeted by Harvey Weinstein. On Friday, Green?s mother, French actress Marlene Jobert, told Europe 1 radio that her daughter was also ?sexually harassed? by the movie mogul for two years.
?My daughter Eva was the victim of this horrible man ?? the 76-year old star said, adding she was speaking on her daughter?s behalf. ?At the time, I was truly horrified, so scandalized that I wanted to do something but my daughter said ?Absolutely Not! You do not know the evil he is capable of.? ?
While her daughter has resisted speaking out personally since allegations concerning Weinstein have arisen, Jobert said she was motivated to ?add another testimony because it isn?t possible that this guy goes unpunished. This odious character must be prosecuted.?
Green, star of Penny Dreadful, was targeted by Weinstein during 2010-11, Jobert said. To escape confrontation, Green tried not to reply. ?She was intimidated, this guy had so much power, power over all cinema! He must have put obstacles in her way because he was so vexed? It was difficult, took time to recover, she prefers to forget and not talk about it today.?
Speaking to the news radio station, she described Weinstein ?as tenacious, he insisted for several months, every time he was in Paris, he called.? Jobert stressed that Weinstein?s approach was ?a professional rendezvous? with the offer of a starring role. ?Under the pretext of a professional appointment, he?d given her a script with a beautiful key role it. And as his office was also in his hotel suite, they?d go up and then ? He promised her, like the others that he?d favorize their careers in exchange for sexual favors.?
?Eva managed to escape him but he threatened to destroy her professionally,? her mother explained. ?Because if the ?BIG PIG? had been outed by a victim, for revenge he would forbid [directors] to select them. That?s a brutal reaction to take on a young actress because it was putting themselves in danger of being scratched off casting lists.?

After her mom outed her – and I really hope Eva gave her mom permission to speak on her behalf – Eva ended up confirming her mom?s story with a statement of her own:
?I wish to address comments made by my mother in a recent interview regarding Harvey Weinstein. I met him for a business meeting in Paris at which he behaved inappropriately and I had to push him off. I got away without it going further, but the experience left me shocked and disgusted. I have not discussed this before because I wanted to maintain my privacy, but I understand it is important to do so as I hear about other women?s experiences. Women are often condemned when they speak out and their personal reputations tarnished by association. I salute the great bravery of the women who have come forward. We should recognise that this sort of behaviour exists everywhere and is not unique to the entertainment industry. The exploitation of power is ubiquitous. This behavior is unacceptable and needs to be eliminated.?

?He behaved inappropriately and I had to push him off.? That?s assault. When he?s on top of you or ON you to the point where you have to ?push him off,? that?s assault. And I have no doubt that Eva?s mom was telling more of the story than Eva would, that Weinstein was calling Eva and harassing her whenever he was in Paris. It would not surprise me in the least. Ugh, these stories are so awful.

I realize that many of you are Eva Green super-fans, so this post is just for you. These are photos of Eva at last night?s New York premiere of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, the new Tim Burton film. Incidentally, there are still rumors that Eva and Burton might be in a relationship, or were in a relationship when they filmed this. They still aren?t saying, although the body language could go either way. I think they look friendly and she seems like she would be Tim Burton?s (manic pixie/goth) dream girl.
Eva wore this somewhat underwhelming Elie Saab gown for the premiere. I love the color and she looks like a beautiful vampire created by Anne Rice. But the actual design of the gown is sort of a big MEH. I think it?s that netting/crochet/lace vibe on the front and on the side. It seems slightly dowdy when they were aiming for sexy, and you have to really TRY to make Eva look dowdy.
Meanwhile, Eva is over playing The Girlfriend. Good! She said:
?I don?t want to be the woman in the script where it goes, ?There?s a beautiful, mysterious woman?? Just, OK, forget it. I think I would feel unhappy. Some people play it very well but I want to be as equal as a man, you know what I mean? It?s nice not to play the girlfriend. It?s exciting to be other.?

While I don?t doubt that she?s legitimately tired of getting those scripts where she would just be playing ?the beautiful girlfriend? to the hero, I also think that she?s getting to the age (she?s 36) where those scripts are really starting to drop off. Might as well make it look like her choice, you know?

Here are some photos from last night?s LA premiere of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. I believe Eva Green is the dame in question. The premiere got a good turnout and it does seem like some people are very excited that this sequel finally got off the ground. But the red carpet wasn?t all that special. Eva Green didn?t even bring the major fashion drama! Eva wore this totally boring 2013 Elie Saab gown which looks like every other Elie Saab gown ever worn. I?m saying that as someone who genuinely thinks the Elie Saab designs are pretty, but I was hoping for something else from Eva.
Next up: Jessica Alba in Zac Posen Resort 2015. I usually think Posen?s dresses and gowns are tragically overworked and that he could use some editing. But I love this. I love the color, I love the fit and I love the butt ruffle. The butt ruffle makes it, if I?m being honest.
Jamie King wore a high bun and this Versace Resort 2015 gown. I?m kind of meh on it. It doesn?t look bad and she styled it well, but I?m not in love with it.
Rosario Dawson in ?? . I don?t have the ID but I?m sure we?ve seen this dress before. Blah. It?s pretty bad.
Jamie Chung in Pamella Roland Fall 2014. This is my least favorite look of the whole carpet. It?s too heavy, too pageanty.
And just for fun, here?s genuine heartthrob Demian Bichir (HOT) and Mickey Rourke with a wiglet from the John Travolta Collection.

Frank Miller issued a press release on Tuesday announcing the casting of Eva Green as Ava Lord in the Robert Rodriguez directed sequelSin City: A Dame to Kill For.
Says the release, “Ava Lord is one of the most deadly and fascinating residents of Sin City. From the start, we knew that the actor would need to be able to embody the multifaceted characteristics of this femme fatale and we found that in Eva Green.”
Is that a nice way of saying the character is crazy? Because I have a suspicion Eva Green can do crazy. Yikes, just look at the header pic.
Green will join a star cast including Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and, my god, is this right? Ray Liotta?

When faced with a fully-loaded premiere with tons of great photos, I?m often at a loss as to who I should make the lead. You guys seemed to enjoy yesterday?s story about the LA premiere of Dark Shadows, in which I made Johnny Depp and his mid-life-crisis Chemical Peel Face the lead. So today I?m going to begin with the fashion from the London premiere of Dark Shadows – and a good old-fashioned style face-off. Let?s start with maybe one of my favorite dresses that I?ve seen in months, Eva Green in Tom Ford. I would wear the ever-loving f–k out of this dress. I wish it was mine. It?s gorgeous!!!! A beautiful cut, beautiful neckline, it?s flattering and rich and amazing. But is it amazing on Eva? I don?t mind her makeup (she always looks rather goth, which is okay with me), but her hair?? I don?t know why she?s emphasizing her roots?
Who is worthy of defeating Eva Green for Fashion Supremacy? Helena Bonham Carter? Not in this. Look, I get that ?kooky Vivienne Westwood? is HBC?s ?thing? – but even she looks bored with her own quirkiness here. Time to update the look.
Here?s Chloe Moretz in McQ Alexander McQueen. It?s pretty, and she?s pretty, but something feels ?off? to me. Maybe the shoes? Or her hair?
Michelle Pfeiffer: fierce bitch in Lanvin. The dress would be too simple on another woman, but I kind of enjoy it on Michelle. It?s not about the dress – it?s about the woman. Plus, she?s always loved very simple, minimalist clothes. (The bust isn?t doing her any favors though, right?)
You know what these Johnny Depp photos remind me of? They remind me of Daniel Day Lewis, right after he filmed There Will Be Blood, and he dressed like that turn-of-the-19th-century character for about a year. With DDL, it was an acceptable and charming quirk. When Johnny dresses all faux-western, it?s annoying. It seems so? try-hard.
Jonny Lee Miller: I would nail it to the wall.
