The Warner Brothers and InStyle magazine Golden Globes after party at the Beverly Hills Hilton saw Scream Queens star Lea Michele bucking this year’s plunging neckline trend with a demure, long-sleeved gown. The simple, form-fitting iridescent purple gown featured a crew neckline. The 30-year-old actress accessorized with a purple, snakeskin box clutch and silver straapy stilettos by Charlotte Olympia. Although the neckline screamed for some bling (at least on my opionon), Lea’s only sparkle came from a ring on her finger. I want to have an opinion on this gown, but I don’t. It’s simply alright. The color, although unique, doesn’t work with her coloring and it doesn’t look like it “walks well,” bunching up at the bottom. Maybe the bottom hem should be just a teeny bit shorter, hmm?

I do like the makeup though, but I’m a sucker for that mauve-esque lip shade. Lea liked her dress, as it showed off what she called her “Bronx booty” on a tweet from Sunday night’s festivities.

Do you know how Brie Larson was one of the only women to wear red to the Globes on Saturday night? Well Nina Dobrev was one of the only women in red at the after party and she similarly stood out. She was in Zac Posen, in this deceptively simple looking gown with panels that make her waist look very cinched. I like that effect, but I’m not sure about the way it fits in the bustline. There’s some serious confidence involved in carrying a green clutch with a red dress after New Year’s and her styling is glam. This is a win.
Sarah Hyland went for a business goes goth look in this dark blue (or is it eggplant-colored? It’s hard to tell) and black sequin Amanda Wakeley gown which is perfect for an after party. Her styling is a little much with that nude lip, piecey hair and smudged eye makeup. Sarah looks really cute with her boyfriend, Dominic Sherwood, though.

Christina Ricci was in Monse, in an orange sequin gown. Remember the white Monse which Thandie Newton wore to the Globes? That had a line of these type of sequins creeping up the hem like the dress was on fire and I loved it. This entire dress is made of those sequins and it looks like a big emergency is happening. If you think the top half is questionable, get a load of the hem and the sleeves, they’re deliberately frayed-looking and it’s awful.
Caitriona Balfe was one of my favorites at the Globes and her dress for the event, a blue and red Delpozo, was unique and memorable. So it’s interesting that her after party dress, a metallic halter neck Emm Kuo, was more like the gowns the women were wearing to the Globes. She made the right choice for each though.

It?s become somewhat of a yearly tradition following the Golden Globes and Oscars for all of us here at Celebitchy to be too tired to cover all of the after-parties. While it?s exciting to see who attends these parties and what they?re wearing, it?s not AS exciting as the actual event red carpet, so we postpone the afterparty coverage for a day. Which is where we are now. Here?s Elizabeth Olsen at the NBC Universial post-Globes party. She wore Alberta Ferretti and it?s absolutely hideous. Sometimes I don?t see the ?Olsen? in her at all, but in these photos, she looks so much like her sisters. I was also going to theorize that maybe she met up with Tom Hiddleston, but I doubt it. I think they went to separate parties.
Janelle Monae in Georges Chakra. We have yet another case of crazypants. Again, Janelle is lovely but I just need her to change it up or something.
Jenna Dewan Tatum in Julien Macdonald. I like this a lot. It?s a perfect ?afterparty? look.
Vanessa Hudgens in Naeem Khan. For Vanessa, this is a big improvement over the stuff she usually wears. But it?s still not great.
Julianne Hough in vintage Jenny Packham. Too much dress for an afterparty, right? And she looks like Ashlee Simpson.
I had a total WTF-moment because I completely forgot that Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed were married, so I was like, ?When did they get together??? They?ve been together for years. I?m an idiot. She?s wearing Naeem Khan and the whole thing is kind of basic.

When I first saw photos of Kaley Cuoco at the Globes afterparties I was surprised that she seemed to be single. She’s not though of course. She was just posing alone for a minute, and she brought her boyfriend, Karl Cook. I’m surprised these two aren’t engaged yet because I was expecting a holiday engagement. Kaley was in one of those very deep v-neck gowns which were all the rage at the Globes, she chose a silverhttp://www.celebitchy.com/wp-admin/post-new.php# striped Tommy Hilfiger which emphasized her fake boobs. (She does have a bought-and-paid-for rack and she’ll tell you about it, it’s not just an educated guess on my part.) This gown is so pretty, I just wish it wasn’t so low cut in the front. She looks great though.
Look at her boyfriend’s suit close up. It has a terrible brocade type print.
Victoria Justice is only in this post because she chose an absolutely fug silver lace-up Julea Domani by Zeena Zaki gown. Of course she went for the overkill and paired it with gladiator heels. This might be an ok dress without the lace-up sleeves too, but maybe not.
Malin Akerman was in a white gown by Yanina Couture which made it look like icy ferns were crawling up her boobs. This isa designer which sounds vaguely familiar to me so I searched our archives. Yanina is also responsible for Gwen Stefani’s red petal Vanity Fair Oscar Party dress, remember that? Every other gown I found by the designer was some degree of fug. So this is bad but it could be worse.
Leighton Meester’s white Galvan afterparty gown looks like a snooze from the waist up, but check out the folded layers of fabric along the hem. That’s a thoughtful feature and I also like that she wore blue shoes. I always love to see Leighton out.

Here are some photos from some of the post-Golden Globes parties on Sunday night. It?s our annual tradition to get to the party girls a little bit late, but we didn?t forget about them! Here?s Diane Kruger at the InStyle party, flying solo. She wore Nina Ricci, which seems out of character for her. She usually goes? um, more high end? Not that Nina Ricci is cheap, mind you. But this is unexpected on Diane. I also wonder if this a ?whole new Diane? since she?s officially (or something) with Norman Reedus these days.
Miranda Kerr wore this August Getty to the InStyle party. I get that the style is ?weird drapes,? but does anyone else get a pregnancy vibe from Miranda? Her billionaire already proposed, so I maybe she?s trying to get him to set a date.
Here?s Naomie Harris, who switched Armani gowns to party. I don?t get how this ball gown would be more comfortable that her other Armani, but whatever.
Laverne Cox in Mikael D. She looks amazing. I like that she?s gone darker with her hair, it looks so much better than the honey-blonde shade she was working a year ago.
Naomi Campbell also switches gowns to party. That whole thing fascinates me, especially for people who aren?t nominated for anything. They?re just coming out to present, the they change frocks to party. Weird. Anyway, this is a pretty color on her.

At the tailend of 2016, sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner both got some ?work? done. Kendall Jenner chose to not touch her body (at least as far as I could tell) and merely go in for some noticeable lip injections, and possibly some fillers and Botox. She suddenly had a big trout-pout for the Victoria?s Secret show in November, as we discussed. Kylie, on the other hand, has been a ?work in progress? for years now. Some believe she?s trying to become Kim Kardashian 2.0, some believe she?s just trying to get the body that Tyga wants for her, and some believe that Kylie is just a really mixed up and screwed up kid and that plastic surgeons are taking advantage of her. Whatever you believe, Kylie?s breasts keep getting bigger, perhaps to match her Kardashian-esque fake butt.
I was reminded of all of this because Kylie and Kendall attended the post-Golden Globes party sponsored by NBC Universal. NBC Universal owns E!, so that makes this a business appearance, basically. Kylie wore Labourjoisie and Kendall wore Paule Ka. Both outfits are hideous. But again, all I can see is the work. Kendall?s sad trout pout and Kylie?s ridiculously oversized breast implants. These two need to stahp!! Like, I don?t think Kendall?s work is anywhere near as bad as Kylie?s. Hopefully, Kendall will stop at some point and her face will go back to normal, maybe. But Kylie?s going to be dealing with the repercussions of multiple surgeries for years to come.
