Britney Spears married Sam Asghari almost one year ago exactly. Their anniversary is in June. Their wedding was held at Britney?s home. Almost everyone was happy for them Sam and Britney have been together since the fall of 2016, and Britney had wanted to marry Sam for years. She was only able to marry him once her conservatorship was removed by the court, so it was a happy occasion and many people came out to celebrate them. The thing is, when her conservatorship was removed, Britney has been experiencing a newfound freedom and that comes with some uncomfortable mess. I wrote about this back in February while I think Britney needs some help, I also know she?s been through a terrible ordeal and she?s still processing her trauma and figuring out what?s next, and how to care for herself and others. Well, it turns out that Britney and Sam are on the rocks, at least according to TMZ:
Britney Spears marriage to Sam Asghari is on the rocks this according to multiple sources in the know.
TMZ has prepared a documentary that will air tonight, which explores Britneys life post-conservatorship. Were told Britney has gotten physical with Sam and screaming matches have been frequent. Were also told things have gotten so volatile security has had to step in.
Our sources say Sam doesnt stay at their home much anymore and its especially alarming because of how she has come to rely on him.

It would not surprise me if some or all of this was true. It also wouldn?t surprise me if TMZ is embellishing and exploiting what is probably a difficult situation which changes day by day. In any case, Sam has responded to TMZ?s report in a now-deleted video message:
Sam Asghari slammed TMZ?s ?disgusting? TV special about his wife, Britney Spears, ahead of its release Monday evening. ?I found it absolutely disgusting for the people who were in her life when she didn?t have a voice, they went and told her story like it was theirs. It was absolutely disgusting.?
?How are you going to take the most influential person of her generation, the Princess of Pop, America?s sweetheart, and put her in prison where her father [Jamie Spears] tells her what to do, what water to drink, who to see and use her as a money-making machine?? Asghari asked his viewers. Asghari, 29, took aim at the outlet for putting Britney, 41, ?under the microscope? when she is finally free from her family and management?s control and encouraged readers not to fall for ?clickbait? stories.
?All of a sudden ? after 15 years when she?s free after all those gaslighting, all those things that went down ? now you?re going to put her under a microscope and tell her story?? he asked, rhetorically. ?No, no, that?s also disgusting, so don?t do that, and don?t believe what you read online. Ninety-nine percent of the time those are all clickbait [stories] for you to click and for them to make money, and that time is over.?
Asghari concluded his video, which since has been deleted, by saying all of the ?gaslighting and s?t? has to stop.

I really hope Sam is the good guy he seems to be. I think he cares about Britney and he?s always shown that he wants to help her and he wants her to be free. But I do wonder if he?s now stuck in a caretaker position and whether that?s really where he wants to be. I don?t know. I find so much of Britney?s post-conservatorship story to be exploitative because, as Sam is saying here, it?s being told by the same men who exploited her during her conservatorship.

Kelly Clarkson is the closest thing we have to an ?America?s Sweetheart? on daytime television. People love her, she?s authentic, funny and relatable. The Kelly Clarkson Show has picked up viewers at a steady clip, and Kelly is absolutely seen as the daytime heiress to Ellen DeGeneres. And much like Ellen?s show, Kelly?s show is apparently a hellish work environment. Rolling Stone did an exclusive story about how staffers are leaving in droves and collapsing under the stressful conditions on the Kelly Clarkson Show. The staffers take pains to say that Kelly is lovely and likely has no idea what?s going on, but her executive producers and showrunner Alex Duda have created a massively toxic work environment, especially for low-level staff. Some highlights:
A traumatic environment: Behind the scenes, employees say they were overworked, underpaid, and that working at the show was traumatizing to their mental health, describing The Kelly Clarkson Show as a toxic environment. These employees are veterans in the entertainment industry who know the potential downsides of working in a high-pressure environment like daytime television, and are disappointed to see this culture perpetuated on a show that had a chance to make a difference in the industry. One current and 10 former employees spoke to Rolling Stone under the condition of anonymity out of fear of retribution, and say they?re confident the talk-show host doesn?t have a sense of how unhappy employees are with the working conditions.
Unhappy staff: ?NBC is protecting the show because it?s their new money maker, but Kelly has no clue how unhappy her staff is,? one former employee says. A second former employee adds, ?I remember going up on the roof of the stage to cry, being like, ?Oh, my gosh, what am I doing? Why am I putting myself through this???
The problem with executive producer and showrunner Alex Duda: Former employees say the toxic behavior behind the scenes starts with Duda, who shields Clarkson from what staffers say they?re enduring because of the climate Duda created. ?I think Alex Duda?s a monster,? a former employee says. ?I have a friend who?s an executive producer who warned me about taking this job, because apparently she has done this on every show she?s worked on.?
Favoritism & bad pay: As for Clarkson, the current employee as well as 10 former employees are under the impression she isn?t aware of how bad things are for lower-level staffers, some of whom say they?ve taken on other jobs as babysitters, dog walkers, and Uber Eats drivers to pay their bills. They say there?s a divide behind the scenes between staffers who are favored by executive and senior producers and those who aren?t. Former employees are also frustrated that there hasn?t been a shift in the culture at the show despite a number of HR complaints, and they worry the longer the behavior continues without repercussions, the worse it will get as the seasons go on.
Again, most people believe Kelly has no idea: ?Kelly is fantastic. She is a person who never treats anyone with anything but dignity and is incredibly appreciative,? one former employee says. ?I would be shocked if she knew. I?d be floored if she knew the staff wasn?t getting paid for two weeks of Christmas hiatus. The Kelly that I interacted with and that everyone knows would probably be pretty aghast to learn that.?

Unless Clarkson has been successfully obscuring her ?real? personality for decades, I also think Kelly would probably be aghast to hear that her staffers are so unhappy and traumatized. But that?s an issue too it?s Clarkson?s name on the show, and Clarkson is an executive producer too. While I buy that she didn?t know, you could easily argue that she should have known well before Rolling Stone published this piece.
NBC Universal released a statement, which you can read here. Pretty unconvincing, given that one of the main arguments in the RS piece is that multiple people complained to HR about how producers treated low-level staff, only for HR to do nothing and then those problematic producers got promoted. NBC?s reaction comes off as boilerplate at best. Kelly also responded on her social media (given the show isn?t currently taping because of the writers? strike). I appreciate that Kelly is at least taking some ownership and promising to undergo leadership training alongside her producers. It will be interesting to see if Alex Duda stays on.

Elle Fanning has been working as an actress since she was a little kid. She?s 25 years old now, and her first acting credit came in 2001. So, she?s already had a twenty-plus year career in film and television. But that?s not enough for some producers and studios, because they?re mad that Elle Fanning is not some nepo baby who lives and dies by her Instagram follower count. Elle spoke to the Happy Sad Confused podcast this week about losing out of major roles because she didn?t have a big enough social media presence.
Whether she feels pressure to join big studio franchises: Fanning was asked if there is pressure on her career to join big studio franchises in order to stay ?relevant? as an actor. ?I don?t feel that [pressure]. I don?t,? Fanning said, while also acknowledging that joining the likes of Marvel, ?Star Wars? or DC ?does something? for other actors? careers. ?But you also don?t know if they?re going to work sometimes, which is scary.?
Fanning confirmed that she has auditioned for at least one big franchise movie. ?I did try out for?I?m not going to say what it was, but I didn?t get a part once for something big because ? it might not have just been this reason, but this was the feedback that I heard ? was because I didn?t have enough Instagram followers at the time. So that was a little like?I firmly don?t believe in not getting a part [for that]. It was for a bigger thing, a franchise thing.?
She has never gotten far in the audition process for those franchise projects: ?I would never say no to those things, but I would have to have a meeting and really talk to see what it is,? Fanning added about joining a franchise. ?I didn?t have to go through what Nick [Hoult] did?they made him try the [Batman] suit on. You need a balance. If you want to do your indie work, especially in producing now?[having a big franchise] does make you breathe better.?

As Variety points out, Elle has around 7 million followers on Instagram. Those aren?t Kardashian-Jenner numbers, obviously, but completely respectable. What?s weird is that studios especially Disney/Marvel really persuade their stars to join social media to promote their projects and engage with fans. Instead of saying ?wow, Elle already has a social media presence and a follower base we can build on,? they reject her because she?s not chronically online or trying to be an influencer. In any case, I?m glad she?s not worked up over it and I?m glad she?s happy with her already-successful career. It would be great if someone in charge had some imagination and realized that Elle has more acting range than all of the ladies with 50 million followers.

Well, Taylor is still doing this boyfriend rollout, regardless of what her fans think. The Sun (a British tabloid) broke the Swealy story, then the first official appearances were in Nashville last weekend. Now their love tour has moved to New York:

Healy, on the other hand, seemingly wore a suit to their date. Shortly after being spotted by our eyewitness, they left Cipriani ?holding hands? while being covered by an umbrella to maintain their privacy.
On May 3, sources told The Sun that the pair had been dating for less than two months but were already ?madly in love.?

The London-to-Nashville-to-New York tour is giving me a flashback to the Tiddles Worldwide Love Tour in 2016. I?m saying that as a compliment I adored the worldwide Tiddles Tour. They were having so much fun, they were enjoying the game so much. Maybe that?s the silver lining for the Snake Fam? This has a love-drunk Tiddles feel to it, something which is fun and exciting for several months and then burns out quickly. It will be curious to see how often Healy joins her while she?s on tour. The 1975?s summer tour starts in Europe in early June, so my guess is that they?re probably going to spend the next two weeks together or so and then they might be apart for much of the summer. We?ll see.

I?ll just put this out there at the top: I?m not worried about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck?s marriage, actually. I think, as a couple, they?re fine. He adores her, she worships him. They?re two 50-something divorcees who know how much give and take there is in a marriage and what they need to do to look after each other. Now, I am slightly concerned about some other things! I?m concerned that J.Lo?s glam squad is dysfunctional and I?m concerned that Ben is going to lose his mind on a paparazzo at some point.
These are photos from last night?s LA premiere of The Mother, J.Lo?s new Netflix film. She was in New York most of last week doing promotion for this movie and she was moving around solo, with no Ben (he stayed in LA). I?m glad that Ben came out to her premiere, because I think that means a lot to her, that Ben will come out to her events too. Now, most of the photos of Ben from the red carpet are just of him trying to kiss Jennifer or talk to her he wasn?t very interested in posing. Still, I?m not ?worried? about them.
Fashion notes: Jennifer wore a custom Brunello Cucinelli ensemble. Her body is crazy but I do feel like we?ve seen too much of her abs lately. Like? it?s fine to just wear a simple blouse, J.Lo! If I had her abs, I would probably show them off as well.
Meanwhile, this Bennifer video has been going viral they were out grabbing coffee or shopping in LA this week and Ben was very annoyed at the paparazzi trailing them. The car-door slam was, in my opinion, not about J.Lo, it was about the paps.

Did anyone else sort of forget that we still didn?t know the name of Rihanna?s son? We finally got to see his face on the cover of British Vogue several months ago, but Rihanna had already posted some videos and photos of the baby before the magazine came out, because she was trying to dilute the value of some paparazzi pics. Throughout all of those dramas, we still didn?t know the kid?s name! Well, the Daily Mail got their hands on the baby?s birth certificate and drumroll please?
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky kept their sons name a secret for a year, but the moniker has finally been revealed. The Daily Mail shared a copy of the babys birth certificate, which shows his full name is RZA Athelston Mayers. He appears to be named after Wu-Tang Clan member RZA (whose real name is Robert Fitzgerald Diggs), pronounced Rizza. The baby shares his middle name, Athelston, with dad Rocky. The birth certificate also confirms RZAs date of birth was May 13, 2022.
As the tabloid noted, Rihanna had hinted at the babys name on April 5, where she was spotted carrying little RZA while wearing a Wu-Tang Clan shirt. Shed also been photographed in August 2022 wearing a RZA tee.

I actually like the name ?Rizza? but I?m lukewarm on using an acronym for a kid?s name. Still, I kind of agree that the kid looks like a Rizza/RZA. I also wonder if there was more connections than just ?Rihanna liked the name RZA.? Rihanna is Robyn she probably wanted an R name. Maybe the name stands for something else entirely. Who knows. I wonder what she?ll name the second kid? Fingers crossed for ODB (whose first name is actually Russell, another R name).

One of the things I like most about Bebe Rexha is her memorable, sometimes wacky red carpet style. She always serves up something flashy and funyoull never see her looking basic. Another thing I like about Bebe is that she talks about her struggles in an authentic way. She recently shared that one of the TikTok suggested searches is about her weight, which she said sucks but is understandable. In an interview with Gayle King she revealed that she?s been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, which has contributed to her weight gain. She also mentioned that she?s faced pressure to lose weight since the start of her career.
Bebe Rexha revealed that she recently learned that she has polycystic ovary syndrome, or PCOS.
During an appearance on Gayle Kings SiriusXM show Gayle King in the House, the 33-year-old singer opened up about her experience with PCOS ? a hormone imbalance that affects 1 in 10 women of childbearing age.
The condition can cause symptoms like irregular periods, excess hair growth, acne, weight gain and infertility.
I definitely struggle with my weight and I struggle with the way that I look, and its been tough for me. I just found out recently that I have PCOS and a lot of women have it. And a lot of women have it and dont know, Rexha said while noting that weight gain is a common symptom shes dealt with. Its tough. I think for me, Ive been definitely struggling with my weight and Ive been struggling with food forever.
She continued, I remember starting out and getting my first record deal, they kind of put it in my head and they said to me when I first got signed, Are you ready to get into bootcamp shape? Because you need to lose 20 lbs. in order to do this career. Like you have to lose weight.'

I feel for Bebe because it sounds like she?s faced both internal and external pressure to change how her body looks for several years. This is a familiar feeling for me personally, and most days I dont want to look at myself in the mirror at all. So many women feel this pressure to change their bodies to fit a thin ideal. Even if we dont get told ?you need to lose 20 lbs,? some research suggests that women in larger bodies are paid up to 10% less than their thinner peers. Its disappointing that someone as talented as Bebe could still be reduced to her appearance. But its not surprising. It must have been a crushing thing for Bebe to hear when she was starting out. What she needed as a budding singer and songwriter was support, not judgment. It?s also short-sighted and dumb for industry execs to try to make all their pop stars conform to a thin ideal.
Bebe?s story shows that so many factors influence a person?s weight. And not all of them are in our control. The causes of PCOS remain unknown, so getting effective treatment is often easier said than done. I like that Bebe is being so open about what shes going through and raising awareness about PCOS. Still, it sounds exasperating for her to deal with negativity about her body over and over. Bebe is currently headlining a tour around the US and I hope she feels the love from fans who come out to her shows. And I hope she continues to wear flashy, wacky outfits.

Over the weekend, one event got the biggest A-listers in attendance. Not the coronation the Miami Grand Prix, F1?s takeover in America. While Tom Cruise pretaped a little thing for King Charles?s coronation concert, Cruise showed up in person in Miami. Tons of celebrities and athletes were there, including tennis players like Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Roger Federer and Juan Martin del Potro. Ludacris was there, LL Cool J was there, Nick Jonas was there. Shakira was also there following her split from Gerard Pique, she has now moved permanently to Miami and she will raise her sons there. So she came out to enjoy some racing. Which is how Shakira ended up spending some time with Tom Cruise, and now we?re getting the obligatory rumors about how Cruise wants to date Shakira.
The race is on ? for single Shakira. After Tom Cruise and the ?Hips Don?t Lie? singer were photographed hanging out together at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami over the weekend, a source exclusively tells Page Six: ?He is extremely interested in pursuing her.?
?There is chemistry,? says the source.
Cruise, 60, is single and Shakira, 46, split from her longtime boyfriend Gerard Piqu, 36, last June amid allegations he was having an affair with his now-girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.
?Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom,? says our source ? adding that Cruise has the benefit of being, ?a nice-looking guy, and he is talented.?
The source also cracked, ?And she isn?t taller than him.? Cruise is 5-foot-7 while the pop star is 5-foot-2.
A source tells us that Cruise was so taken by the pop diva that he allegedly sent her flowers.

He previously dated Penelope Cruz and Sofia Vergara, for goodness sake Shakira would definitely ?fit? with his ?type? of Spanish and South American girlfriends. Now, do I think this makes sense from Shakira?s side? No. She needs to have some peace and quiet before jumping into anything with a problematic dude like Cruise. Still, I bet it?s nice for Shakira to feel like men are still interested in her. I bet she liked flirting with him.

Taylor Swift and Matt(y) Healy are happening and they?ve been happening for some time, I believe. It was back in early January when Taylor made a surprise appearance at The 1975?s concert. In February, Healy apparently broke it off with his model girlfriend. And the most generous interpretation of Taylor?s split with Joe Alwyn is that it happened sometime in March, and the announcement came in April. I believe that Taylor overlapped, just because she?s done that before and it seems to be how she operates. She also likes to ensure that breakups are never her fault, and in the case of Joe Alwyn, the breakup wasn?t her fault because he wasn?t comfortable with her fame and he didn?t want to be super-public. So it wasn?t her fault that she overlapped!
Anyway, Healy really was in Nashville last weekend to attend and perform at Taylor?s concert (Healy performed with Tay?s opening act, Phoebe Bridgers). Healy was seen out and about in Nashville, getting coffee with one of Taylor?s security guards. Then the Mail got the first photos of Healy and Taylor together, headed to Taylor?s Nashville condo.
