Good lord, there are so many strong opinions about Bennifer these days. Strong opinions about Bennifer the couple, and strong opinions about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck individually. For what it?s worth, I?m still rooting for Bennifer as a couple but I acknowledge that both Ben and Jen can be (and often are) enormously problematic. That being said, there?s way too much bullying of J.Lo these days and it?s giving me flashbacks to the original Bennifer relationship, where there were all of these racist dogwhistles thrown around about Jen, and she was given sole agency over a complicated relationship and failed engagement. Jennifer is an ahole? but so is Ben.
Last Friday, Jennifer announced that she was canceling her planned tour in support of her flop album, This Is Me? Now. The ticket sales were in the toilet and very few people wanted any of this. Instead of refusing to acknowledge that and barreling ahead with the tour, J.Lo waved the white flag. She clearly wants to spend this summer working on her marriage too, which I think is a good idea.
On Sunday, Jen stepped out with Ben at his son Samuel?s basketball game. Jennifer Garner was there too, but everyone arrived separately. Ben and J.Lo greeted each other with air kisses, but? they left together and Ben drove them to Jack In the Box for lunch. It?s all very suburban. J.Lo used to like that about Ben, that he was a normal guy from Boston who loves his Dunkin and his fast food. Does she still love it?
Also: I fking LOVE J.Lo?s jeans in these photos. They?re so retro! Like, she wore this kind of cut during the original Bennifer relationship. Everything about her style here is so 2003 to me.

Angelina Jolie is a big Broadway producer now, on the musical adaptation of The Outsiders. Angelina?s daughter Vivienne is apparently a huge theater/musical-theater geek, which we realized when Vivienne dragged her mother to easily a dozen regional performances of Dear Evan Hansen. Well, now that Angelina is a Broadway producer, she gets invited to other Broadway opening nights. Which is what happened last night Angelina and Vivienne came out to support Reefer Madness: The Musical. They posed with Kristen Bell, who produced this stage show.
Angelina?s outfit here is so cool a slim suit with a t-shirt, which has a print of a necktie. I love that she didn?t take off her shades too. Vivienne looks cute! I get the feeling that Vivienne is the ?normcore? kid, Shiloh is a full tomboy and Zahara is the girly-girl. All of those kids ride for their mom so hard. As we discussed, Vivienne has dropped ?Pitt? from her surname in the playbill for The Outsiders. Just this week, Shiloh filed paperwork to drop ?Pitt? from her name legally? on her 18th birthday. Zahara seems to have dropped Pitt from her name too, although it?s unclear if she?s done so legally.
Meanwhile, post-Cannes Film Festival, other festivals are trying to get some hype. The Venice Film Festival will likely host the global premieres of Joker 2: Folie a Deux AND Pablo Larrain?s Maria. Thats the Larrain-style bio-pic of Maria Callas, starring Angelina. Angelina in Venice towards the end of the summer? I hope it happens!

Here are some photos of Jennifer Lopez on May 24th her Atlas promotion was over and she was back in the dance studio, preparing for her tour, one would assume. Her manager Benny Medina was with her. I have to say, I find it fascinating to see how Benny is handling the Bennifer drama. He?s really keeping calm and not panicking he?s letting the split rumors hang around (there doesn?t seem to be anything he can do about that), but he?s not making it worse or making any big pronouncements about ?it?s over? or ?of course they?ll absolutely reconcile.? That?s the general vibe coming from J.Lo and Ben Affleck too it?s like they?re giving each other time and space, and in that time and space, they?re not consumed with melodrama about their marriage. This seems to be the message coming from Jennifer?s camp:

It feels possible, to me, that this is less about a permanent estrangement and more about Ben and Jen?s busy schedules this summer. Ben is still filming The Accountant 2, Jennifer is preparing to go on the road in a month. Hopefully, they?re too busy to get a divorce and after a summer apart, they?ll get back together and everything will be all good. This is me being a delusional Bennifer stan. Jennifer Garner is hoping for the best for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. As Affleck, 51, and Lopez, 54, experience marriage troubles just under two years since tying the knot, a source tells PEOPLE that Garner wants the best for ex-husband Affleck.
She wants him happy and healthy so he can be the best dad possible, says the source. Garner, 52, and Affleck share three kids: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
The source adds that Garner, who is dating chairman and CEO of Cali Group John Miller, likes that [Lopez] lives a healthy lifestyle and supports Ben?s sobriety. Jen wants that for Ben.

Almost a year ago exactly, Natalie Portman?s husband Benjamin Millepied?s affair with a young French woman was outed by a French tabloid. The tabloid had photos of Benjamin and a then-25-year-old Camilla Etienne coming and going from their nid damour. What we didn?t know at the time was that Natalie quietly filed for divorce soon after the affair story became public. The divorce was quickly finalized earlier this year and Natalie has still, to this day, barely addressed any of it publicly. I would imagine there will be a Vanity Fair or Vogue cover interview at some point, but right now, she?s moving like a shark.
Well, something interesting is happening now. Late last year, Variety paired Natalie with Paul Mescal for the trade paper?s Actors-on-Actors series. Paul and Natalie got along really well and they were full of praise for each other as actors. Crash cut to this week, and Natalie and Paul were seen together at Bar 69 in London. They stepped outside of the bar to smoke, and they seemed downright giddy in each other?s company. According to IMDB, Natalie is currently in production on Guy Ritchie?s Fountain of Youth? a film which does not include Mescal, but it might explain why Natalie is at a random bar in London on Tuesday in May. So? is this happening? Mescal is reportedly single too, his relationship with Phoebe Bridgers wound down a while ago. Hm.

Backgrid, the photo agency, also claims that J.Los lunch date yesterday was none other than Violet Affleck, so maybe Jennifer took her stepdaughter out to lunch for a graduation treat and an apology for missing Violets graduation. Anyway, the vibe around Bennifer is still ?up in the air.? Whatever is happening between them, they?re still talking and spending time with each other, but Ben is maintaining a separate home in Brentwood.
Meanwhile, Jennifer?s career these days is a mixed bag. She has yet another streaming hit with Atlas, her poorly-reviewed Netflix movie. The numbers are great though, and clearly, people love that J.Lo makes Prime and Netflix movies that they can watch from the comfort of home. Unfortunately, people do not want to leave the house to support her musical career though. Not only were her concert ticket sales severely underwhelming, but it looks like her reported $90 million Las Vegas residency is in jeopardy too:
Jennifer Lopez was recently in talks for a $90 million Las Vegas residency ? but the blockbuster deal now looks shaky at best as her new album and upcoming concert tour are flopping badly, The Post has learned. The embattled pop diva ? whose headline-grabbing marriage to Ben Affleck is reportedly crumbling ? recently had been in talks with MGM Grand on a guaranteed $1 million a show for 90 dates starting next year, a source close to the situation told The Post.
But casino executives have lately grown skittish over abysmal ticket sales for her first tour in five years following the release of her ?This is Me ? Now? album in February ? with poor demand having forced the cancellation of seven shows this summer, the source said. No Vegas deal has yet to be announced. That?s despite a report from The Mirror on Feb. 2 that MGM had teamed up with Live Nation to offer more than $800,000 a show. Rival casino Resorts World upped the bidding to $875,000 per show in partnership with Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) soon after, sources said.
MGM and Live Nation then swooped in with the $1 million-a-show offer for the ?Let?s Get Loud? singer ? but buyer?s remorse has lately set in, the first source said.
?MGM is watching her not doing well on the road. They are very nervous,? the person said. ?It?s pretty rare you have a poor tour and then go to Vegas.?
Now, the Bronx-born star could be looking at a significant haircut to the $90 million windfall. A Lopez residency should fetch just $600,000 to $650,000 and be for fewer shows, the source said. Another source with knowledge of the MGM talks said no deal was ever signed, but discussions have continued.

On Saturday, Nicki Minaj was arrested in Amsterdam on suspicion of carrying drugs. She was arrested at the airport, as she was trying to fly from Amsterdam to Manchester for a concert. She filmed/live-streamed and live-tweeted the encounters she had with some of the Dutch police and airport security and honestly, from what I saw, they were trying to be nice to her. But yeah, she was clearly carrying. While many drugs are legal in The Netherlands, you can?t carry drugs on international flights.
Nicki Minaj has been released from police custody in the Netherlands, just hours after the rapper recorded herself being arrested by Dutch officers for allegedly ?carrying drugs.?
In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, May 25, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee confirmed the release of the rapper.
?We have just released a 41-year-old American woman who we arrested this afternoon at Schiphol on suspicion of exporting soft drugs. After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was fined and can continue her journey, the statement read, translated from Dutch.
In an Instagram Live video that was posted on X by a Minaj fan account, police officers in Amsterdam could be heard telling Minaj that she was under arrest for carrying drugs, before asking her to get in a van to go to the police station.
After denying the claims and asking for a lawyer multiple times, Minaj (born Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty) then got into a van at what appeared to be an airport.
Minaj was on her way to Manchester, England, for a show part of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour when she filmed the incident.

Minaj was apparently held in jail or whatever for about six hours before they released her with a fine. Which honestly sounds like they might have given her preferential treatment? I?m sure she?s not the first American tourist caught with drugs at the airport, and I?m sure those other tourists have dealt with more than a six-hour jail mess and a fine.
Anyway, Minaj ended up making it to Manchester but she canceled her Manchester show, then she performed last night in Birmingham, England. She also posted a statement to her social media, claiming that her security guard was carrying ?pre-rolled joints? and they weren?t hers. She also claimed that her lawyers would take care of everything, and that she would reschedule her Manchester show.

Here are more photos of Jennifer Lopez in Mexico City this week, as she?s promoting her Netflix film Atlas. Last night, I watched The Greatest Love Story Never Told again, the documentary she made concurrently with the musical-film This Is Me? Now. Tonight I might re-watch Halftime, the documentary she made in 2019-2020. I?m a big fan of Halftime it showed an artist and entertainer who had matured, who was politically active, who was still dealing with constant disrespect from multiple industries but still grinding. TGLSNT felt like a regression, like getting back with Ben Affleck undid all of the work she had done on herself for 18-plus years. That being said, rewatching TGLSNT made me feel like Ben and Jen were going to be okay, that they would figure out their sh-t. But yeah, the sh-t about showing Ben?s love letters to dozens of people is still not okay.
Anyway, I still don?t know what to make of Bennifer?s current drama. They?re living separately, but they?re still talking and seeing each other. Jennifer?s people aren?t stopping the rumor mill, but they?re also not making any big announcements. Post-TGLSNT, I know Jen is going to be ride-or-die until the wheels come off. Ben?s another story altogether. While Jen was in Mexico City, at the press conference or media event, a Mexican journalist tried to ask her about Ben and the rumors:

As you may know by now, I am fascinated by all things paranormal. My two favorite paranormal topics to talk and hear stories about are synchronicities and ghosts. In the past, we?ve talked about celebrities? experiences with spirits, including Kevin Bacon destroying a haunted house on his Connecticut property, Suzanne Sommers? widow getting signs from her, Matt Damon finding peace after a dream from his dad, Patrick Stewart?s haunted house in LA, and even the Wales? allegedly haunted Norfolk home.
On this edition of Rosie?s Paranormal Posts, we?re talking about Courteney Cox. Courteney is the latest celeb to speak out about their spiritual encounters. During an appearance on CBS Sunday Morning this past weekend, Courteney shared that she believes Matthew Perry?s spirit visits her pretty frequently because she talks with him and both of her parents for guidance. In fact, Court believes that a lot of the people we?ve lost ?guide us.?
Courteney Cox believes that her late ?Friends? co-star Matthew Perry still ?visits? her 7 months after his untimely death. Appearing on ?CBS Sunday Morning,? the actress, who starred as Monica Geller alongside Perry?s Chandler Bing for 10 seasons on the hit show, commemorated the 20th anniversary of the sitcom?s series finale. In the show, the pair?s two characters ultimately end up together.
?I think he?s probably one of the funniest human beings in the world. He?s just so funny,? Cox, 59, said. ?He is genuinely a huge heart. Obviously struggled. I?m so thankful I got to work so closely with him for so many years. He visits me a lot, if we believe in that.?
Cox was then asked to elaborate on her spirituality, revealing that the late actor ?guides? her.
?I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew. I feel like there are a lot of people that, I think, guide us,? she shared. ?I do sense ? I sense Matthew?s around for sure.?

That?s very sweet. I?ve talked about the meaningful experiences that my own family had after the death of my beloved grandfather, including him visiting my mom and grandma on the same night without the other knowing about it and making his presence known at the birth of my older son, who was born one year after the day of his passing. (My grandma said she prayed that entire day to not let him be born until after midnight and she got her way, lol.) There?s a reason why the saying goes ?death is hardest on those who are left behind.? Many of us take comfort in a belief that our loved ones are sending us signs from beyond or that they?ve begun their next great adventure. Maybe they are allowed to gently nudge us in the right direction, even if the choice is ours in the end. If Courteney says she feels a connection with Matthew?s spirit while she?s speaking with her loved ones who have passed, then I am not going to discount her experience. I hope it brings her comfort and closure.

Every so often, I get a hankering to cut my hair above my shoulders. I try to ignore these thoughts for a few months before inevitably giving in just to see what it looks like. I then almost always immediately regret it and spent two years growing it out. I went through these motions back in March, so since then, I?ve been in the ?I made a terrible mistake? part of the cycle. Apparently, when it comes to my hair, I am a goldfish.
Anyway, all of that preamble was to talk about Jessica Biel?s new haircut. Jessica, who has rocked a longer hairdo with waves for a while now, is trying to set a new trend. Over the weekend, she got a summer haircut: a bob. Oh, wait, I?m sorry. Jessica didn?t just get any old bob. No, she got a self-described ?f?ck ass bob.? I have no idea what that means because it just looks like the ?mom bob? cut that a lot of celebrities like, Jennifer Garner and Jennifer Love Hewitt, got last year. Anyway, Jessica got a bob and posted before-and-after pictures to her Instagram.
Jessica Biel said goodbye to long hair. The actress shocked her fans when she debuted an ear-length bob in a clip posted to Instagram on Saturday.
She shared a before and after, showing herself tugging on her long locks as she rocked an oversized T-shirt while sitting on a dressing room chair. Biel, 42, then revealed her fresh cut, as she also changed into a chic look, consisting of a gray blazer, white shirt and gold chained necklace.
?Brought back the f?k ass Bob ,? she captioned the video. The mom of two seemingly left her husband, Justin Timberlake, speechless as he simply commented, ?.?
Meanwhile, some of Biel?s followers were convinced her new look was inspired by her ?7th Heaven? character Mary Camden?s short haircut.
?Oh I remember when Mary Camden had this cut ,? one fan commented. The iconic TV series aired from 1996 to 2007.
Others gushed over Biel?s new look, with one writing she ?knows how to bring sexy back.?

She walked the red carpet wearing a plunging V-neckline Pink dress with feathers and styled her hair down with light waves.

She looks?fine? It also looks like she did some lighter highlights as well. Yeah, it looks okay, but I think it makes her look older. I?m not saying that?s good or bad, that?s just my opinion. She definitely needed to change it up from that ratty imitation beach hair look that she was doing beforehand, though. I was nearly scandalized by how terrible her hair looked at the Met Gala. I think she?d look really good with shoulder-length hair and long layers, actually.

We?ll find out soon enough if Jessica said bye bye bye to her long hair because she doesn?t want to be a player in Justin?s game for two anymore. But you know what? Unlike Jessica, I refer to my haircut every single day as ?this f-cking ass bob? so if she?s happy, then power to her. Live your f-ck ass bob truth, girl.

Jennifer Lopez stepped out solo to the LA premiere of Atlas last night. There was some talk about whether all of the Bennifer drama was lowkey promotion so that all eyes would be on this premiere? but now that I?m looking at the photos, no, that?s not the case. Jennifer looks so sad, drawn and she?s lost weight recently. Ben Affleck?s absence on the carpet is very noticeable. Jennifer did pose happily with her costars Simu Liu and Sterling K. Brown, but overall? a solitary appearance.
In the past 24 hours, the gossip about the Bennifer marriage has heated up. Page Six reports that Ben has ?come to his senses? lately and he feels divorce is inevitable. A source told the outlet: ?If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would. He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he?s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.? I mean? it was a fever dream which he asked for, that he wanted. None of this would have happened if Ben hadn?t started writing love letters to J.Lo while she was engaged to Alex Rodriguez! Meanwhile, People Mag had this:
Over the weekend Jennifer and Ben were photographed smiling together, and theyve continued wearing their wedding rings in public, though multiple sources indicated to PEOPLE that theres a strain on their relationship.
They just have very different approaches when it comes to media attention. Ben hates all attention and it makes him very uncomfortable. Jennifer has always had a different approach, one insider says.
A source in the film industry says Affleck, 51, has always been impressed by Lopezs work ethic and success in the industry, however, always sharing her life is not his way.
Even though he admires that about her, it doesn?t make him happy and causes stress in his life and then in hers. There is no question their different styles clash, adds that source.
A third source, from the music world, says Lopez, 54, needs that expression but Affleck simply is not comfortable with it.
After a while it causes tension in the relationship, says the source. He is more introspective and private. She likes to open her heart to her fans and to the world. This makes them considerably different, and it has been difficult in the day-to-day relationship.
There have always been clashes in their styles, how they handle issues, and their actions, but nothing has stopped their love over the years, the source says. This is a great love story.

I hate to say this, but yeah? I was right to be concerned about Jennifer?s whole This Is Me Now crap. She really did lose the plot. The visual album/movie and the documentary were way too much. The fact that she shared Ben?s letters with songwriters and producers was a huge overstep. Her need to document this ?love story? for public consumption was a huge error. Now Ben is using all of that against her. I mean? neither one of them has learned a thing, that?s what makes them perfect for one another. But yiiikes.
