Did you guys know that both Brittany and Patrick Mahomes are Virgos? That?s so interesting to me, you rarely see dual-Virgo marriages out in the wild, especially among celebrities. Brittany?s birthday is August 31, and Patrick?s b-day is September 17th. Taylor Swift went to some of Brittany?s b-day festivities in Nashville several weeks ago, and now it appears that Taylor went to a smallish birthday party for Patrick. This party happened on Sunday night, after the Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs. Country singer Kane Brown was there, and he posted a photo of the Mahomeses along with Travis Kelce and Taylor. This was the only sighting of Taylor on Sunday, because even though she attended the Chiefs game, she hid behind a barrier on her way to the VIP box, and she also hid from broadcasters during the game. TMZ now says that Taylor hid away because of security issues, which is what I figured.
Taylor Swift snuck into a football stadium to watch her fianc Travis Kelce at work and it looks like she used a bullet-resistant portable shield to evade detection following Charlie Kirks very public murder. Swifties are running with an interesting theory online after Taylor kept an extremely low profile at Sundays game between Travis Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles her fans think she was behind a bulletproof barrier that was seen rolling through the bowels of Arrowhead Stadium in K.C.
We did some digging and it seems the barrier being used here is a bullet-resistant portable shield partition that retails for about $6,000.
Taylor usually makes high-profile arrivals to Arrowhead to watch Travis play with tons of video typically showing her making her way to her suite. That didnt happen Sunday and its unclear why she seemingly felt the need to sneak in behind a protective barrier. It will be interesting to see if Taylor keeps this up the screen may be bad luck though the Chiefs lost, 20-17, to drop to 0-2 on the season.

This isn?t the first time that Taylor?s security has had to turn on a dime because of some larger national issue. During her Eras Tour, she had to cancel her Vienna concerts because of a terrorist plot. The past week has been absolutely insane, and I would assume that Taylor?s private security is being inundated with credible threats. I actually wonder if Taylor is going to make a point of skipping Chiefs games for a little while, at least until things cool down.

Something really weird happened last night. While no one was paying any attention to the Emmys, football season was in full swing. The Eagles played the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, in a rematch of the Super Bowl earlier this year. The Eagles once again beat the Chiefs, and Travis Kelce is being blasted for screwing up a pass or something (I magically still don?t know anything about football). Travis was really upset, and he was screaming and throwing his helmet. People were really going in on him online.
So, that was weird, but so is this: Taylor Swift was allegedly there, but no one caught sight of her and there were no photos or cutaways to her during the game. For the past two football seasons, Taylor is a regular at games played at Arrowhead. She and her team work with Arrowhead security, and there?s almost always a little ?stroll? in one of the stadium?s corridors where a couple of photographers can get pics of her outfit. As I said, that?s been the case for two years. But this year, for the Chiefs? first home game of the season, Taylor didn?t do that. She apparently hid behind a screen on her way to the VIP box. Which? okay, maybe she didn?t feel like being photographed like that anymore. But they didn?t get any photos of her in the VIP box either?? What?s going on? People Mag swears that she was there, so I guess she just watched her fiance?s team lose from deep inside the VIP box.
People are immediately going with ?pregnant.? Possibly, but I think there?s a much better chance that this was completely about her security. Taylor showed up late, mid-game as well.

In August, Zoe Kravitz and Harry Styles were seen making out in London and walking arm-in-arm in Rome. It came as a surprise to me because I believed that Zoe had been dating Austin Butler for much of the past year. If not dating, perhaps more like a situationship which seemed to have legs. But according to sources, the Butler speculation hid Zoe?s relationship with Harry Styles, and they?ve possibly been dating for a few months (or longer). Well, ever since their European adventures, they?ve seemingly been hanging out in Brooklyn, where Zoe lives, and they?ve been photographed several times. Page Six makes it sound like they?re in the first flush of love/lust.
Zo Kravitz and Harry Styles seem to be taking their new romance to the next level ? hanging out with each other?s friends. The stylish duo were spotted on Saturday dining with a group of pals at Wolfgang Puck?s swanky Cut at the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown.
?They?re with a group of friends,? a spy told Page Six. ?Cocktails, having a good time!?
The pair was seen holding hands while walking through Williamsburg, Brooklyn, multiple times last week. A spy who saw them during one stroll exclusively told Page Six that former One Direction singer, 31, and the ?Big Little Lies? alum, 36, are ?definitely a couple.?
?They were holding hands and laughing together, like, very casual,? the spy told us. ?He was making some joke. He leaned his head back, looked up and she was laughing.?
Kravitz has owned an apartment in Williamsburg for years, and used to share it with ex Channing Tatum.
Another source told Page Six of Kravitz and Styles, ?I feel like they?ve gone from 0 to 60.?
?It?s so hard to date as a celebrity ? Harry wouldn?t have gone public with Zo if it wasn?t anything,? said the source. ?[But] it?s very new and fresh and they?re just having fun.? The source also added: ?Harry doesn?t label this stuff.?

I kind of hate how Harry does relationships, but he might have met his match in Zoe ?Love ?Em And Leave ?Em? Kravitz. It feels like Harry never really falls head-over-heels for anyone, like he keeps a real emotional distance from every woman he?s ever dated. Maybe I?m reading too much into it, but it?s very ?I?m a rock star heartthrob, you have to do all the emotional labor here.? But hey, as I said, Zoe certainly operates in a similar way in her relationships.

Here are some photos of Sydney Sweeney attending events at the Toronto International Film Festival. She went to TIFF to premiere Christy, the bio-pic of boxer Christy Martin. The pics in this post are from the premiere event and the afterparty, where Sydney changed into a black gown. Her premiere look was a pale Pink corseted gown by Erdem. Which? it?s fine. I don?t hate it, and it?s flattering for her figure, but the skirt is a mess.
TIFF was Sydney?s first time back in public and in a press junket since all of this summer?s controversies. There was the American Eagle-eugenics issue, and on the heels of that, we learned that Sydney is a registered Republican in Florida. She?s also been dating Scooter Braun for several months, which I consider a stand-alone controversy because it?s in such bad taste for her. When asked about some of these scandals, Sydney told Vanity Fair: ?I am there to support my movie and the people involved in making it, and I?m not there to talk about jeans. The movie?s about Christy, and that?s what I?ll be there to talk about.?
As for the movie, the critical buzz from TIFF is that Sydney has done a fantastic job in the role and she might have a shot at some awards. The NY Times rather patronizingly asked: ?With ?Christy,? Can Sydney Sweeney Rebrand as a Serious Actress?? This is an actress with two Emmy nominations, mind you.

Dwayne ?The Rock? Johnson and Emily Blunt were in Venice on Monday to premiere their new film, The Smashing Machine. It was directed by Benny Safdie, and it?s about the real UFC fighter Mark Kerr. Apparently, the Venice audience loved the film, loved The Rock as Kerr and loved Emily Blunt as Kerr?s partner Dawn Staples-Kerr. Venice gave the film and the actors a 15-minute standing ovation.
This is the second time Emily and Dwayne have worked together, and they seem to get along really well. To be fair, Emily seems to be besties with ALL of her costars, but she and Dwayne seemed especially giggly and affectionate with one another. Dwayne has apparently lost something like 60 pounds for this role, and he?s maintained the new physique since the film wrapped. It?s apparently a new thing for him, he wants to be taken more seriously as an actor, and he also had/has some health issues (which he isn?t disclosing with any specificity beyond ?gut issues?).
As for Emily?she wore Tamara Ralph Fall 2025 Couture to the big Venice premiere. I?m not really a fan of this design? I always debate myself whether I want to talk about Emily?s cosmetic work too, so all I?ll say is that she doesn?t need all of that and it makes her look much older.

Here are some photos of Emma Stone in Venice, at the photocall and premiere of Bugonia. This is her latest collaboration with Yorgos Lanthimos, who directed Emma in The Favourite and Poor Things (which won Emma her second Best Actress Oscar). Bugonia looks like a trip, and it?s so funny that Emma?s favorite director/collaborator is so offbeat and art-house.
Anyway, for both the photocall and premiere, Emma wore Louis Vuitton. The white dress is the premiere look, the black dress is for the photocall. I actually love the photocall look it reminds me of the slipdresses which were so popular back in the day. The other LV? eh. I?m not wild about this ambassadorship and I feel like Emma is in a style rut because of LV, but it is what it is. The exaggerated peplum wouldn?t have been my call, but again, not my circus, not my clowns. At least her hair looks super-cute.
Just before the premiere, Focus released the trailer for Bugonia, and this is our first sighting of Bald Emma Stone. LOL? just from the trailer, I think she?s going to get another Oscar nom.

Denzel Washington has been doing a lot of promo for Spike Lee?s Highest 2 Lowest, which I still haven?t seen. Sidenote: I find Spike Lee?s late-career work fascinating, but one of two extremes either he?s making one of the best movies in his filmography, or one of the worst. Y?all will have to let me know which one H2L is. In any case, Denzel is doing a lot, and I think that?s out of respect for Spike, because otherwise, he probably wouldn?t bother at this point. In the past year especially, Denzel has sounded ?over it,? to put it politely. He?s over the industry, he?s over the awards seasons, he?s over the hustling. As it turns out, he?s even over watching movies.
Denzel Washington joined GQ for a video interview with his ?Highest 2 Lowest? director Spike Lee and co-star A$AP Rocky and made the surprising revelation that he no longer watches movies. The two-time Oscar winner admitted it may be because he?s just made too many of them. Washington has well over 40 film credits under his belt after starting his career in 1981?s ?Carbon Copy.?
?I don?t watch movies, man. I really don?t,? Washington said. ?I?m just being honest with you! I don?t watch movies! I don?t go to the movies. I don?t watch movies. ? I?m tired of movies. Yeah.?
When Lee asked Washington how many movies he?s made, the actor responded: ?Too many. I think 50!?

It might be the situation of ?I do this all day, I don?t want to do it during my off-hours.? Which is sort of who I?ve become too, in a much smaller way than Denzel. I write and read about pop culture, royals and celebrities all day for my job on my off-hours, I just want to watch tennis and decompress, not slog my way through a new movie or show every other night. It?s bad, I know. I do watch new stuff, btw, but I?ve become more fickle. In Denzel?s case? he?s been in so many movies, he?s directed and produced, he?s done it all and worked with so many people. I can totally see how he?s reached an age where he just doesn?t care anymore.

George Clooney arrived in Venice earlier this week, where he was set to promote and premiere his new film, Jay Kelly. On Thursday, George was supposed to do the press conference and some individual interviews, but he ended up pulling out of all of it because he was feeling under the weather. They?re saying it?s a sinus infection, but I kind of wonder if he was suffering from the Don?t-Ask-Me-Political-Questions virus. His ratfking with Jake Tapper blew up in his face, and while the international media might not care or ask, the American media might. Still, George ?rallied? in time to walk the red carpet with Amal. He apparently told reporters that he can?t hear anything (convenient) and he was seen clutching his sore throat at times.
Amal looked? okay. While I love this vivid violet shade, I?ve never been into Amal?s love of mullet dresses. The train was very dramatic though, and the whole ensemble photographed very well, even if it?s a dated, button-covered disaster once you look at the details. In George and Amal?s early years, I loved her hair, and she regularly got really great blowouts back in the day. But in recent years, she?s been having a lot of bad hair days. Her hair is too long and it looks damaged and in need of some good conditioning treatments. Her colorist is also doing a terrible job! Update: I just saw the ID for Amal?s dress, it?s a vintage Jean-Louis Scherrer by Erik Mortensen. I honestly thought it was a custom Giambattista Valli.
Meanwhile, I was fully prepared to hate on this movie because of George Clooney, little did I know that my nemesis Laura Dern is also in Jay Kelly! LMAO, I hope this sh-t bombs so hard. Her bangs are trash!! (Her Armani is okay-ish although it looks unfinished.)
Eve Hewson in Schiaparelli I kind of like this, and I usually roll my eyes at Schiaparelli.
Riley Keough in Chlo it looks like something she would wear.
And finally, Greta Gerwig (her husband/partner Noah Baumbach directed Jay Kelly). This is custom Rodarte. Not bad.

There are twenty million stories about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift?s engagement and wedding plans, and half of those stories are coming from Travis?s father, Ed Kelce, who must be spamming Tree Paine?s emails marked ?urgent.? Ed Kelce gave yet another interview, this time to an Australian radio station. My God!! He?s just picking up the phone and spilling his guts to anyone, isn?t he?
Travis Kelce kept things traditional when it came to his proposal to fiance Taylor Swift. In an interview with Australian radio?s The Jimmy & Nath Show with Emma, Travis dad Ed Kelce revealed that his son asked Taylor?s dad, Scott Swift, for his blessing to marry his daughter a month ago.
I was talking to Scott Swift and Travis went to ask him for permission, and this was probably a month ago, and Scott said, Well come on, when are you going to get this done? Ed, 73 recalled. Ed said, like Scott, he?d been pressing Travis, 35, to propose to Taylor, also 35, and is happy his son finally popped the question.
?He didnt come to me for advice so much as I went to him to tell him, you know, ?To get this done,? ? the proud father recalled. ?Travis had these plans to do it the next weekend before flying out to Brazil [for a Kansas City Chiefs game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 5]. He was going to make a big production out of it some place, wanted to make it a bit special,? Ed continued. ?I told him the same thing Scott told him, ?Asking her is whats going to make it special.? It?s not where you do it. You know what I mean? You could do it on the side of the road. Scott adds, ?Just get it done. Don?t worry about any special date. Just, you?re ready, you got the ring, go do it.
Travis ended up listening to the advice of his dad and future father-in-law and proposed to Taylor in his garden, Ed shared, after revealing in an earlier interview with News 5s John Kosich that Travis had popped the question at home two weeks ago.
?They were going out to dinner and she was ready to go and he said, ?Let?s go out in the garden on the patio and have a glass of wine before we go,? ? he recalled on The Jimmy & Nath Show with Emma. ?I think she knew something was up because as they walked out there, she could see, suddenly, there were a lot more flowers out there.?
Sharing some further excitement about his sons engagement, Ed noted that hes never seen him quite so happy.?
?I think its wonderful,? Ed continued. ?These are two young people madly in love with each other and I think this is great.?

Scott Swift telling Travis to ?get it done? is so funny. The fathers were like ?are you crazy, JUST DO IT ALREADY.? At least both fathers understand that Taylor is a catch and Travis needed to lock it down ASAP. I also like that Travis did it in his own backyard, but he upgraded it with the flowers. I want to know Travis?s thought process there, because it was excellent. He really understands Taylor?s love languages.
What else? Page Six says that TNT are already planning their wedding and that it will likely be a ?private? ceremony with just close friends and family, and ?it will be more casual than people think.? They?re trying to dial down the ?America?s royal wedding? chatter. It?s also very likely that Taylor?s team will put together a prenup, but that?s just good business (for both of them, honestly). One of the reasons why I?ve always felt that Travis is good for Taylor isn?t just that has his own money, it?s that he?s incredibly established in his own career. While he?s had more offers because of his association with Taylor, he was already making millions. Page Six also says that Taylor and Travis are ?eyeing? a $18 million Ohio mansion for their next real estate purchase.

I have this weird thing where I always think the Venice Film Festival starts in early August, and I?m like ?why aren?t celebrities in Italy yet??? And then by the time Venice starts in late August, it catches me off guard. So, obviously, the Venice Film Festival started today. A bunch of American stars have films premiering in Italy this year. Including George Clooney, who arrived in Venice on Tuesday with his wife in tow. He?s going to premiere Jay Kelly, which is supposedly some Oscar-bait whatever. I doubt it will turn out to be a contender, mostly because I believe George is still getting a lot of well-deserved sh-t from his activities and statements last year. But hey, Amal looked nice in a butter yellow (which is straight out of the 80s, and yet it suits her) and Prada shoes. Update: This dress is a customized Balmain!
What else? Julia Roberts is in town for the premiere of Luca Guadagnino?s After the Hunt. Apparently, she had a cardigan sweater made with Guadagnino?s face printed all over. It?s sort of cute, but I wouldn?t have known that it was supposed to be Luca unless someone else pointed it out. I thought, ?Is that Curly from the Three Stooges??? I?m also including a photo of Cate Blanchett?s arrival she will premiere Jim Jarmusch?s Father Mother Sister Brother. She?s also there (I?m assuming) as part of her Armani Beauty contract, since Armani is one of the big sponsors of this festival.
Between Amal, Cate and Julia, I certainly hope we get some interesting fashion to talk about in the coming days.
