As Kaiser said, Charlize Theron is really earning her stripes for her The Fate of the Furious promotion. Wednesday she stopped by Ellen DeGeneres? show and brought her two kids, Jackson, 5 and August, 1, to watch backstage. As some of you may know, Ellen has a long-standing war on glitter. So, as is often the case, she asked Charlize where she stood on glitter in her home. Charlize admitted that although she didn?t buy it, it was still all over her house. I can attest to this, apparently glitter is a by-product of children production. For people like me, this is an annoyance. For people like Charlize, who has OCD, it can become more of a challenge. Charlize said, though that having two kids has actually lessened her anxiety about some of her OCD issues.
“My kids are for more glitter,” Charlize, 41, told hostEllen DeGeneres. “There is way too much of it in the house. I don’t buy it, but it’s on those costume dresses. A lot of times I’m walking through my house thinking I’m going senile, because I have a little OCD thing. I’m like, ‘Where is this glitter coming from?’ And It’s those princess dresses.”
Since first becoming a mom in 2012, “I’ve gotten a little bit better,” Charlize continued. “My kids definitely help me be less anxious about a lot of that stuff. There are certain rooms that I let go and I’ve given up on, [but] they’re allowed everywhere! Really, I am very lucky to live in our house, and they are just very nice to have me there.” Realizing her kids were watching the show backstage, Charlize told Jackson and August, “You guys are very good, and I appreciate it.”
Though she’s a single mom, Charlize said she has “an incredible village” of people who help her raise “these two beautiful kids.” As most moms would agree, it “just takes a moment” to get things in order sometimes. “In the mornings I have them alone and they kind of work against each other sometimes. It’s like one decides to freak out and then both decide to freak out. I don’t know why they’d do that,” Charlize told Ellen. “You’d think they’d stand there and be considerate and go, ‘That one’s freaking out right now; I’m not going to freak out. I’m going to be nice. I’m just going to chill out and have my mom deal with that.’ But they don’t do that.”
Ellen joked, “You really don’t know anything about children.”

Disclaimer: my son has recently been diagnosed with OCD and I am just beginning to learn about it, so I apologize for my rudimentary knowledge on the subject. When I watched the interview, I didn?t know if Charlize was using the term ?OCD? just to mean she was a neat freak, because that was kind of how it read. But no, Charlize has spoken about her OCD often. Her specific anxiety is ?hidden chaos,” such as messy closets that people just shove things in and close the doors. I find it fascinating, in a hopeful way, that having children has lessened her anxiousness. This probably wasn?t the venue for a full discourse on the topic but I would be interested to hear more on this from Charlize. According to this site, for those with extreme OCD becoming a parent can present problems. But for those who suffer from mild cases of OCD, like Charlize, it does in fact lessen the symptoms. It is believed that in these milder cases, the person?s focus is diverted from the symptoms to the children.
None of this, however, is an acceptable excuse for glitter toleration.
As for the part about thinking the kids should be considerate and sit out each other?s freak-out ? I know it?s a joke on her part but I?ll be damned if I haven?t thought the exact same thing. Like my children weren’t old enough to figure out forks don?t belong in their eyes and I thought they should willfully choose not to melt-down simply because I?d had a rough morning. I don?t know how many hours I wasted asking a baby, ?can you just not?!?? (BTW, the answer to that is almost exclusively “no.”)

Have you seen the trailers and ads for the new movie The Promise? That?s an awful film-title, isn?t it? With a name like The Promise, I would expect it to be one of those super-churchy films, but it?s not. It?s about the Armenian genocide. Or, let me be more specific, it?s a love story set against the backdrop of the Armenian genocide. I think this was supposed to be a bit like The English Patient, only the trailers make me feel? like this is sort of miscast? No offense to Oscar Isaac and Christian Bale, but? I don?t know. Here?s the trailer:
Anyway, the LA premiere was last night and Oscar Isaac wasn?t there (or he was not photographed at all if he was there). Christian Bale was there with his wife. But Bale barely got any attention, because the most famous Armenian-American in the world came out to the premiere: KIM KARDASHIAN. We are living in a world where Kim Kardashian goes to the same premiere as Christian Bale? and she gets more attention than Bale. Which I actually think Bale is probably fine with?
There was another famous Armenian-American in attendance: CHER! I actually didn?t know that Cher is part Armenian, but there you go. Cher happily posed with Kim and Kourtney Kardashian on the red carpet. Movies about the Armenian genocide: ON FLEEK. Speaking of on fleek, I don?t really have much to say about the fashion here. I don?t think that color complements Kim, but Kourtney?s suit is pretty great. Cher looks like Cher. Like the Ghost of Kim?s Future Faces, actually.

For years, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux?s go-to vacation spot has been Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They go to Cabo so often that the paparazzi no longer bother to follow them down there. But every so often, Jennifer and Justin do a European vacation. They?ve been in Paris for a few days on what seems like a half-vacation/half-fun-business trip. The business part of the trip was Justin and Jennifer?s attendance at a Louis Vuitton cocktail party on Tuesday night. Jennifer wore an ensemble that this ?90s Girl loves – this was THE LOOK in the ?90s. Slightly flared black pants, a bustier/corset top and a smart jacket. This is how so many ?90s Girls dressed when they wanted to look fancy, down to the chunky heel. So, yeah, I think Jennifer looks great!

When Tori Spelling first announced her fifth pregnancy, in an interview with People Magazine, she told an anecdote about her husband, Dean McDermott, expressing shock. Tori said that Dean’s response to her pregnancy was that they just got the youngest child out of diapers and that he “thought we were in the clear.” So you would think that with four young children already another baby would only add to their level of stress. However now that their youngest, Beau Dean, arrived last month, Tori claims that it’s just saved her troubled marriage. As you remember Dean cheated on Tori in 2014 with a Canadian woman in a plotline which may have been fabricated for their reality show. Regardless they were having a lot of problems and four kids did not make it easier. Plus Tori is 43 and Dean is 50. It’s not like they’re both young, many people at Dean’s age have kids in college already. Only now they have another baby and Tori wants us to know that’s solved everything.
?Everyone was saying, ?Divorce him! [after he cheated] Why is she staying with him? That is weak,’? she tells PEOPLE exclusively. ?But my gut instincts just shut it all out, and I said, ?I love this man. If there is a way to work it out, I want to try to do that.? ?
The couple underwent intense marriage counseling and McDermott entered rehab.
?We worked on everything,? says Spelling. ?The relationship as we knew it died. We had to bury that and start new.?
For the couple, who are already parents to Liam, 10, Stella, 8, Hattie, 5, and Finn, 4 ?McDermott is also dad to Jack, 18, from his previous marriage ? welcoming baby No. 5 has come to symbolize a fresh start.
?Rebuilding our marriage took time,? she tells PEOPLE. ?And now, having a new baby, it makes sense. It?s like a new baby in a new relationship.?
?I am so blessed and lucky that she never walked away, because now we have this incredible relationship,? he says. ?And I can?t imagine life without Beau.?

The last we heard Dean owed significant child support to his first wife, who was taking him to court over it. Dean and Tori currently owe hundreds of thousands to creditors including the state of California for back taxes. So they’re selling us an image of a happy family complete with baby Beau. (I have a hard time with that name because my aunt has a dog named Beau and it’s spelled the same way.) Anyway I hope they’re ok for the sake of their kids but this baby was a cash grab by Tori and Dean seems like he’s just along for the ride.
