| People: Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce's wedding 'will definitely be a private affair' | Added 2 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

After the first rush of excitement and buzz about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce?s engagement, it actually felt like they?re trying to lower the temperature a little bit. For the past week, there?s been a consistent thread of stories in the vein of ?Taylor and Travis are not going to have a big wedding? and ?this isn?t going to be a splashy affair.? According to Travis on last week?s New Heights pod he and Tay haven?t started planning anything yet, and I would imagine they?re still looking at their schedules and they?re stuck on ?when? and perhaps ?where.? Well, in case you needed to hear it from People Magazine, that?s what their cover story is all about.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may have shared their engagement news with the world, but their actual wedding wont be a such a public affair. A source tells PEOPLE in this week?s issue that the pop star and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end ?want to keep it more private? when they tie the knot.
?It will definitely be a private affair and not a spectacle,? the source says. ?They both have a close circle of friends, and they?ll respect their privacy.?
Swift and Kelce, both 35, announced their engagement on Instagram on Aug. 26 after two years of dating, sharing sweet photos from the proposal with the caption, ?Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.? Kelce popped the question with an old mine brilliant cut diamond ? a ring the source says Swift is ?still showing off.?
?She?s incredibly happy,? the source adds. ?It?s all just perfect.?
As for wedding planning, the couple are taking things one step at a time. Kelce said on New Heights that he hasn?t thought for ?one second? about a bachelor party, but promised that it?s ?gonna go crazy? when they do get to wedding planning. ?That,? he said, ?is the next step.?
[From People]
One more word about the ring what impressed me was not the size, cut or price tag. What impressed me was that Travis knows and understands Taylor?s taste. It looks like the kind of ring she would have picked out for herself. Which is the real prize for Taylor and for all women: to be known, to have someone who understands us and knows our preferences and tastes. As for the wedding planning? I?d love a spectacle worthy of their level of celebrity, but yeah, I don?t think Taylor would want that. I really hope we get to see her dress though, because I feel like that?s going to be THE most princessy wedding gown ever.

| Zoe Kravitz & Harry Styles' relationship has 'gone from 0 to 60' in recent weeks | Added 5 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

In August, Zoe Kravitz and Harry Styles were seen making out in London and walking arm-in-arm in Rome. It came as a surprise to me because I believed that Zoe had been dating Austin Butler for much of the past year. If not dating, perhaps more like a situationship which seemed to have legs. But according to sources, the Butler speculation hid Zoe?s relationship with Harry Styles, and they?ve possibly been dating for a few months (or longer). Well, ever since their European adventures, they?ve seemingly been hanging out in Brooklyn, where Zoe lives, and they?ve been photographed several times. Page Six makes it sound like they?re in the first flush of love/lust.
Zo Kravitz and Harry Styles seem to be taking their new romance to the next level ? hanging out with each other?s friends. The stylish duo were spotted on Saturday dining with a group of pals at Wolfgang Puck?s swanky Cut at the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown.
?They?re with a group of friends,? a spy told Page Six. ?Cocktails, having a good time!?
The pair was seen holding hands while walking through Williamsburg, Brooklyn, multiple times last week. A spy who saw them during one stroll exclusively told Page Six that former One Direction singer, 31, and the ?Big Little Lies? alum, 36, are ?definitely a couple.?
?They were holding hands and laughing together, like, very casual,? the spy told us. ?He was making some joke. He leaned his head back, looked up and she was laughing.?
Kravitz has owned an apartment in Williamsburg for years, and used to share it with ex Channing Tatum.
Another source told Page Six of Kravitz and Styles, ?I feel like they?ve gone from 0 to 60.?
?It?s so hard to date as a celebrity ? Harry wouldn?t have gone public with Zo if it wasn?t anything,? said the source. ?[But] it?s very new and fresh and they?re just having fun.? The source also added: ?Harry doesn?t label this stuff.?
[From Page Six]
I kind of hate how Harry does relationships, but he might have met his match in Zoe ?Love ?Em And Leave ?Em? Kravitz. It feels like Harry never really falls head-over-heels for anyone, like he keeps a real emotional distance from every woman he?s ever dated. Maybe I?m reading too much into it, but it?s very ?I?m a rock star heartthrob, you have to do all the emotional labor here.? But hey, as I said, Zoe certainly operates in a similar way in her relationships.

| Daniel Craig on his career: It's dumb luck. I?m very lucky | Added 5 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
The Venice and Telluride Film Festivals recently ended while Toronto is underway, which means we are well and truly in Film Festival Fall, the busy precursor to Awards Season. Daniel Craig was on the circuit last year with Luca Guadagnino?s Queer, for which Craig earned Golden Globe and SAG nominations but was ultimately snubbed for an Oscar. Last year Craig also made a public plea for Netflix to give the third Knives Out film, Wake Up Dead Man, a longer theatrical release than they gave Glass Onion (one week). Well, Wake Up Dead Man just premiered at Toronto on Saturday, and the good news is that Netflix listened to Craig! So instead of one week of theatrical release before being available to stream, the film is getting? two weeks. How benevolent. Meanwhile, now that Craig, Daniel Craig is years out from being dunzo with playing Bond, it seems reporters couldn?t help but ask the star if this third Knives Out film will be his last turn as Benoit Blanc:
?How lucky am I to get something like this?? the English star tells PEOPLE on the premiere?s red carpet. Craig has played shred detective Blanc in 2019?s Knives Out and 2022?s Glass Onion. Wake Up Dead Man is in theaters Nov. 26 and streaming on Netflix Dec. 12.
?That?s all I can think of when I think about this character,? Craig continues. ?I mean, I?ve played [James] Bond and now I?m suddenly playing Benoit Blanc. It?s dumb luck. I?m very lucky.?
Asked whether Wake Up Dead Man marks the end of his playing the iconic character, Craig quips, ?Who told you that? Listen, I don?t know. Rian hasn?t written anything because we?re getting this movie out.?
But, he adds, if the writer-director ?writes another script and it?s as good as I think it probably will be, then it?s an easy decision.?
Joining Craig at the TIFF premiere of the sequel were Johnson, 51, as well as stars Josh O?Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, Andrew Scott, Daryl McCormack and Jeremy Renner.
Johnson confirmed the third Knives Out film?s title in May, when he shared a teaser clip on X that included a voiceover mentioning Blanc?s ?most dangerous case yet.? The filmmaker later shared a photo of Craig sporting long hair in character and announced that the film had wrapped production.
Addressing the possibility of a fourth go-around with Benoit Blanc, Johnson told Variety in 2022, ?If each one of these can really be what Agatha Christie did, if it can be not just in a totally new location and a new cast, but also trying something exciting, I?ll keep doing it as long as Daniel [Craig] and I are having a good time. I?ll keep making these as long as they let me.?
[From People]
I thought that was a nicely done, gracious spin on Craig?s part, to respond to questions of ?Will there be another Knives Out?!? with ?Man, I?ve just been so damn lucky in my career.? He really has shaken off the grumpiness he used to have with the press and is no longer stirred by them. Also, I think it?s obvious in watching the Knives Out films that he has so much fun playing Benoit Blanc! So yeah, I think he?ll keep returning as long as Rian Johnson is at the helm. Like its predecessors, Wake Up Dead Man has an impressive ensemble cast. I?m wondering if it will also be stacked with the array of fabulous cameos like Glass Onion had, most notably SPOILER! Hugh Grant as Benoit?s partner. (Hey Rian Johnson/Netflix, ever consider a prequel about how the couple met? I would watch the sh-t out of that.) Looking at the new film?s cast, I stand by my assertion of last year that Glenn Close did it, whatever the crime is, and that Andrew Scott is there as the red herring. We have a little over two months to prove that see if I?m right.

| An Italian reporter excluded Ayo Edebiri from an insane question about BLM & MeToo | Added 5 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Last week, After the Hunt premiered at the Venice Film Festival, and the stars of the film did their first festival press junket. Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield and Ayo Edebiri did most of their media duties together, meaning they were all sitting in a row as entertainment journalists came in and asked them questions. Julia has been around the industry for 35 years, and in my opinion, Julia is extremely fond of her younger costars, Ayo in particular. Well, the three actors had to deal with one of the craziest questions ever during the Venice junket. It looked like Julia was ready to tussle with someone, but instead, Julia sat back and let Ayo defend herself in a really powerful way. Here?s the clip, I?ve cued it to the awful part:
The question was: Now that the #MeToo era and the Black Lives Matter are done, what do we have to expect in Hollywood? And what we lost with the politically correct era. Ayo responded: ?Yeah, I know that thats not for me, and I dont know if its purposeful its not for me, but I just am curious? I dont think its done. I dont think its done at all. I think maybe hashtags might not be used as much, but I do think that theres work being done by activists, by people, every day, thats beautiful, important work thats not finished ? thats really, really, really active for a reason, cause this world is really charged. And that work isnt finished at all. Julia interjected with ?It?s not done.? They handled that well, including Andrew, who wanted absolutely no part in dealing with that question in any way. So, that clip has been making the rounds for several days. Then the Italian reporter, Federica Polidoro, ended up posting a terrible Instagram in which she ?defended? herself.
The Italian reporter whose interview with After the Hunt stars Ayo Edebiri, Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield went viral is breaking her silence. Journalist Federica Polidoro sparked backlash after excluding Edebiri, 29, from a question regarding the #MeToo and Black Lives Matter movements while speaking to the stars on ArtsLife Tv on Friday, Sept. 5.
Polidoro took to Instagram on Monday, Sept. 8 to write that she has been subjected to personal insults and attacks because of a question that, for some reason, was not well received by some members of the public. I find it striking that those who unjustly accuse me of racism and consider themselves custodians of justice find acceptable violent language, personal attacks, and cyberbullying? I would like to clarify that, rather than focusing on the thoughtful responses of Ayo Edebiri, Julia Roberts, and Andrew Garfield, the discussion continues solely on how I should have phrased the question. All the contributions from those present were reported in full in the published interview, without any omissions.
In response to the backlash, Polidoro wrote in her Instagram statement that she believes censoring or delegitimizing questions considered uncomfortable does not fall within the practice of democracy.
The journalist also wrote that she has interviewed people of every background and ethnicity, and my own family is multi-ethnic, matriarchal, and feminist, with a significant history of immigration in response to people whom she opined have unjustly accuse[d] me of racism.
I have collaborated for over twenty years with numerous national and international publications of all political orientations, always approaching my work with openness and professional rigor. In my view, the real racists are those who see racism everywhere and seek to muzzle journalism, limiting freedom of analysis, critical thinking, and the plurality of perspectives, Polidoro continued.
She said, Journalism?s role is to ask questions, even on delicate topics, with respect and responsibility. I will not tolerate or accept defamatory or violent language, and I reserve the right to seek legal protection against those who, in recent days, have chosen to hide behind the digital mob to insult and attack me instead of seeking a civil and constructive discussion.
[From People]
Does this woman not understand the difference between asking the white actors in particular ?do you think we?re living in a post-MeToo and post-BLM world? versus ?Now that the #MeToo era and the Black Lives Matter are done, what have we lost,? with the obvious implication of ?what have we lost as white people, since she was directing her question solely to Julia and Andrew. One question is thought-provoking and might inspire some interesting responses from white actors. The other question is a declarative (and incorrect) statement spoken through the prism of Eurocentric white supremacy. Anyway, Ayo is wonderful and I?m sorry she had to deal with that.

| West Point canceled an award ceremony for Tom Hanks, which pleased Trump | Added 17 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Created in 1958, the Sylvanus Thayer Award is presented every year by the West Point Association of Graduates (WPAG) to a citizen whose life and career has exemplified service to the nation. It is regarded as the highest civilian award given by West Point. This year?s honoree is Tom Hanks, whom West Point singled out for his dedication to veteran advocacy, and the award was to be presented on September 25 with the customary parade and dinner ceremony. Only Dipsh-t Don has commandeered the White House, the man-child who ?feels like? he was in the military because he went to a military high school. And much like his war on universities (and every other institution), Trump has been bullying West Point into getting rid of anything he deems too ?woke.? So suddenly and mysteriously, West Point has canceled the ceremony for Hanks. Not the award itself ? that will still be given ? just the ceremony has been canceled, which Cadet Cankles is claiming as a victory.
Hanks, who was set to receive the military academy?s Sylvanus Thayer Award Sept. 25, will no longer be honored, NPR and The Washington Post report. The Thayer Award is doled out annually to ?an outstanding citizen ? whose service and accomplishments in the national interest exemplify personal devotion to the ideals expressed in West Point?s motto: ?Duty, Honor, Country,?? according to a release on the military academy?s website.
The decision to cancel the ceremony for Hanks, who has criticized President Donald Trump in the past, comes on the heels of a tumultuous transition for the academy under the new administration.
Trump weighed in on the flip-flop with a Sept. 8 post to Truth Social, lauding the academy for its cancellation and deriding Hanks as ?woke? and ?destructive.?
?Our great West Point (getting greater all the time!) has smartly cancelled the Award Ceremony for actor Tom Hanks. Important move!? the president wrote. ?We don?t need destructive, WOKE recipients getting our cherished American Awards!!! Hopefully the Academy Awards, and other Fake Award Shows, will review their Standards and Practices in the name of Fairness and Justice. Watch their DEAD RATINGS SURGE!?
The academy pulling the plug marks a remarkable shift in tone from the original announcement in June. At the time, a post to West Point?s website chronicled hands? long career in both acting and activism, and celebrated his contributions to the American image.
?Tom Hanks has done more for the positive portrayal of the American service member, more for the caring of the American veteran, their caregivers and their family, and more for the American space program and all branches of government than many other Americans,? West Point Association of Graduates Chairman Robert A. McDonald wrote in the release.
?To have my first ever visit to the Academy be to accept such an honor as the Thayer Award is simply astounding. West Point?s legacy of leadership, character, and service to the nation is a powerful example for all Americans,? Hanks said in the release. ?To be recognized by an institution whose graduates have shaped our country?s history through selfless service is both humbling and meaningful.?
[From USA Today]
?Tom Hanks has done more for the positive portrayal of the American service member, more for the caring of the American veteran, their caregivers and their family, and more for the American space program and all branches of government than?? Donald Trump ever will. One?s an American Treasure, the other an American Terror. And I dare say someone within the current government agrees with me, because this whole development was leaked to The Washington Post by an official ?not authorized to speak publicly on the matter,? after WPAG?s president sent an internal email saying that ?preparing cadets to lead, fight, and win,? was the reason why they couldn?t host a parade and dinner. Sure, Sgt. Jan. And yet WPAG?s website still lists Tom Hanks as this year?s recipient. Unbelievable. So here?s my question: should Private Ryan (I know, I know, Damon was the private, work with me here) still accept the honor, or respectfully decline due to WPAG disrespecting him? Personally, I?d say, Run, Forrest, Run!

| Prince William is 'very fussy' about brownies: 'Never put nuts in a brownie' | Added 17 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

It?s absolutely hilarious to watch royal reporters try to treat Prince William and Kate?s sudden keenness to be out and about as anything other than their childish jealousy. They are incandescent with rage and jealousy that Prince Harry is getting so much attention for his four-day visit to the UK. William scheduled three days of emergency busywork, and I bet we see Kate at least one more time before Harry goes back to America. They always do this they rush around, furiously trying to look busy, so they?ll have a built-in excuse for ?why they can?t meet Harry.? Like? the way the media covers for them, they really could just continue to do fk all and reporters would say ?obviously, William is brilliant for staying at home and watching TV while his brother is desperate for attention!? Instead, Will and Kate are the ones throwing themselves in front of the cameras, shrieking ?don?t forget about meeeeee!?
What?s even funnier is that Kate tried so hard to have a big moment with her giant blonde wig last week, and the wig was such a disaster, Kate has now done two events with her regular dark hair and she?s daring everyone to say something about it. They?re falling all over themselves to say ?oh, she went to the hair salon on Friday, she decided blonde wasn?t for her!? Girl just removed her own wig, it took her two seconds. Anyway, during William and Kate?s event on Monday, they ended up talking about how William doesn?t believe that nuts belong in brownies. He also said words about his kids, because he really was that desperate for headlines.
Despite a somber occasion, Kate Middleton and Prince William were in good spirits while sharing some sweet treats. The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 43, paid a visit to the National Federation of Womens Institutes in London on Monday, Sept. 8, the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeths death. The late monarch was an enthusiastic member of the WI for 80 years and served as its president from 2003 until her death.
During their visit, Prince William and Princess Kate chatted with WI members over some baked goods, like Campari cake and brownies, of which William is a particular fan.
I know my brownies, he said during the visit, as seen in a video shared on social media. His wife noted, William is very fussy about it, to which he agreed.
The future kings rule for a good brownie? Never put nuts in a brownie, he said.
Kate then quipped, I had to learn the hard way, drawing laughs from the group.
According to the Daily Mail, William was told by Hilary Fraser that he couldnt join the WI unless you can put on a skirt. He joked in response, Well, for a chocolate brownie, Hilary, you never know what Ill do.
The Prince and Princess of Wales also shared some sweet stories about their children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, with the women. When asked if Louis is a bit of a handful, William admitted that appearances can be deceiving. Hes a character, but hes a very good boy. He likes to wind his brother and sister up, the prince said, according to the Daily Mail.
The proud father joked that Prince George only appears to be the more sensible one in public.
When George is behind closed doors, its completely different. George just knows how to behave, Prince William said with a smile.
[From People]
Yeah? unless you have a nut allergy, nuts in brownies are wonderful. Especially walnuts brownies with walnuts are AMAZING. I also imagine that William is very ?fussy? about most things, especially food and anything to do with the Sussexes. As for the stories about the kids? I?ve got nothing. I feel bad for the kids because W&K are already encouraging certain kinds of stories to be written about their children?s personalities.

| Platell: Prince William is still plotting revenge on Harry for the longterm | Added 17 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Some Sussex-defenders swear that Prince Harry and Meghan are maneuvering carefully as they deal with Harry?s toxic family, the left-behind Windsors. The thing is, I don?t believe it. I don?t think Harry and Meghan have come up with some plan and said, ?okay, this is how we?re going to play it, this is what we?ll say.? Meghan seems completely done with all of the left-behinds, but she supports Harry with whatever he wants. And I think Harry was simply speaking his truth, his perspective, his desires for a reconnection with his family in his BBC interview. And I still think that was a mistake, to be so openly needy of that reconciliation and connection to his horrible father and his even more despicable brother. Charles and William are like most vindictive, petty narcissists: looking for a weakness to exploit. And they?re both exploiting what they perceive as Harry?s weakness: a desire for connection to his family. I bring this up because the Mail?s Amanda Platell certainly got a briefing from William?s people this week, all about William?s plans to punish and permanently exile Harry. Sometimes, you just have to let the toxicity wash over you. Some highlights:
Harry?s pseudo-royal tour: Before Harry?s pathetic four-day ?pseudo royal? tour this week, visiting the few remaining UK charities prepared to be associated with him, his friends were busy briefing the media that his dearest hope is ?to bring his family back home to Britain? ? and reconcile with the House of Windsor. Yet there is one person acting as a major stumbling block in this deluded quest. No, not Harry?s cancer-stricken father, King Charles, who is believed to want to get to know his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet while he still has time.
William?s plans to punish the Sussexes: Instead, I believe Harry?s happy-ever-after dreams will founder at the hands of his poor, betrayed brother. Mark my words: when William becomes King and Catherine his queen ? many years hence, I hope ? Harry and Meghan will never be welcomed back into the bosom of the Royal Family. The Sussexes? visits to Harry?s homeland will be rare or non-existent ? and the disgraced Duke and his grasping wife will be booed wherever they go. Charles loves both his sons, and is a kind and forgiving man. But William can never ? and should never ? forget the betrayal inflicted on him by his younger brother. William lives by a deeply honourable code of duty, while his dimwitted younger sibling barely knows the meaning of that word.
William?s busywork: It cannot have escaped even Harry?s notice that during his bizarre ?peace and reconciliation tour? around Britain this week, William has been entirely unavailable, thanks to what Palace sources have called ?official engagements elsewhere?. Could it be more obvious? Of course William could have found the time to see Harry if he had wanted to.
No invitation to Peg?s coronation: As things stand, I doubt that California-dreaming Harry will even be invited to William?s coronation, when it comes. Even if William does find it in his heart to extend a formal invitation to the balding man-child, you can be sure he?ll be wondering if he can relegate Harry, Megs and their kids to the back pews of Westminster Abbey. And before you ask, Harry, no, you can?t bring a Netflix crew.
Title-stripping: The biggest question hanging over the brothers? future relationship is: will King William V eventually strip the Sussexes of their HRH titles? There is a precedent for that, as both Diana and Fergie had their HRH titles unceremoniously removed once they were no longer working royals. And, frankly, Harry has far outdone both those women in the bad-behaviour stakes. The nuclear option would be for the future King William to strip Harry of his dukedom. Although this would require an Act of Parliament, it would still likely happen if the monarch wished it. And I wouldn?t put it past William to inflict either or both of those indignities on Harry. For if there is one thing I have noticed in the future King, having observed him all his 43 years, it?s that he is a man who truly lives by Queen Elizabeth?s great maxim: ?Never complain, never explain?. And more than that: never forget, either.
The Sussexes were supposed to save the monarchy: As charismatic, telegenic, newly wedded young royals, Harry and Meghan had a responsibility to play their part in securing the future of a fragile, some say outdated, institution. Instead, they bolted to make their grubby millions.
No family in the UK: How it must stick in the craw of loyal working royals that Prince Harry now expects he can swan back to Britain and reclaim his position as the playful, lovable Prince, after all his abuse and betrayals. Memo to Harry: soft lad, you have no ?family? here. You abandoned them when they needed you most, all for 30 pieces of silver. Hell will freeze over before our future King William or any of us loyal monarchists will ever welcome you back.
[From The Daily Mail]
Come for the projection, and stay for a Daily Mail casting Harry as a modern-day Judas, betraying his violently toxic brother by? buying a mansion in California. Is William supposed to be Jesus Christ in this situation? I don?t think Jesus was ever described as incandescent with rage. Anyway, as I said at the beginning, I don?t think any of this was some kind of plan or strategy by Harry. He genuinely wants some kind of reconciliation. It?s easy for me to sit here and say ?you should get far away from these amoral losers and never try to see them again,? but damn, why does Harry want to talk to these people again? Every time he tries to do or say anything, his ugly brother jumps down Harry?s throat, rage-squealing ?I?ll take your title, you?re not invited to my coronation, I HATE YOU!? Play out this scenario Harry publicly says ?hey, I tried, but I?m cutting my losses and moving on from all of this toxic bullsh-t for my own mental health.?
