I?m here for the obsession with Keanu Reeves and his age-appropriate girlfriend Alexandra Grant. Keanu and Alexandra made an appearance last weekend at the LACMA Art + Film gala. I called it their ?official debut? as a couple. I was wrong. Alexandra and Keanu have been seen on red carpets for years. So why didn?t we know? Or why didn?t the gossip catch up to the evidence that they?ve been dating for a while? I think it?s just because Keanu is so private and he really does shut down questions about his love life and personal life. We had the photos, but no one really knew what the ?story? was. Anyway, sources already told People Magazine that Keanu and Alexandra have basically been friends for years but they only started dating this year. But? Us Weekly says something different, and the photos show something else entirely:
Keanu Reeves and artist Alexandra Grant?s red carpet appearance last weekend got fans talking, but they ?have been dating for years,? a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. Life & Style broke the news of the relationship on Monday, November 4, two days after Reeves, 55, and Grant, 46, attended the LACMA Art + Film Gala Presented by Gucci in Los Angeles.
?It wasn?t a secret,? the source continues. ?They have been dating since at least summer of 2017.?
The couple ? who collaborated on the books Ode to Happiness and Shadows ? stayed close during the LACMA event on Monday, according to an eyewitness. ?They were standing next to each other and laughing by themselves towards the beginning of the cocktail hour, and then even when they were standing talking to others, they still stood next to each other,? the eyewitness tells Us.
[From Us Weekly]
The photos of Alexandra in the silver gown are from May of this year, when they attended a MOCA event. Just going from the archived photos? I would say that they?ve definitely ?come out? as a couple this year, but there?s evidence that they?ve been dating for several years, actually. They kept attending events together. Maybe it wasjust ?friends who attend each other?s events.? But maybe Keanu truly had a lowkey girlfriend for years and people are only finding out now.
Here they were at an UNAIDS event in 2016. Looking coupled up:

| Kim Kardashian wore a bonkers Canadian tuxedo to the WSJ Innovator Awards | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West at the Wall Street Journal?s Innovator Awards. They were there to honor Riccardo Tisci, formerly the creative chief of Givenchy and now in charge of Burberry (I?m so sorry, Burberry). His tenure at Givenchy was kind of terrible from a design standpoint, but he honestly made Givenchy ?relevant? from a pop culture standpoint and really got the brand so much exposure. Plus, he?s been friends with Kanye for years and he?s tight with Kim too. I think it?s kind of cool that they came out to honor him. As for Kim?s absolutely insane ensemble? it was designed by Tisci, obvs. It?s being called a next-level (God-mode?) Canadian tuxedo with g-ddamn CHAPS. It reminds me very much of a ?winning design? on Project Runway. Right??
Meanwhile, while Kim was in New York, she attended the New York Times? DealBrook Conference and she chatted about social media and mental health:
Kim Kardashian West believes Instagram?s decision to remove likes will improve one?s mental health. On Wednesday, the KKW Beauty mogul, 39, attended the New York Times? DealBrook Conference, where she opened up about the new feature Instagram is testing that hides the like and view counts of photos and videos you post from your followers. Though followers won?t be able to see the like counts during the test, users will still be able to access that information on all of their own posts.
?As far as mental health? I think taking the likes away and taking that aspect away from [Instagram] would be really beneficial for people,? she said at Lincoln Center?s Appel Room at the Time Warner Center in New York City beside her mom Kris Jenner. ?I know the Instagram team has been having a bunch of conversations with people to get everyone?s take on that and they?re taking it really seriously, and that makes me happy,? Kardashian West went on.
While the mother of four said she doesn?t personally struggle with mental health issues in relation to Instagram likes, she believes that having the feature instilled will help many others who do. ?I find myself to be extremely mentally strong and I have people who are obsessed with the comments, and I find that to be really unhealthy. I struggle with having to step outside of how I feel and thinking about, ?What if one of my children was like one of my friends who wasn?t as mentally strong and would really be affected by the comments? That would really affect me,? she admitted.

She also spoke about how her social media habits changed after she was robbed in Paris and that after that, she?s more likely to not post on social media in real time, especially with any kind of identifiable locations. As for what she says about Instagram hiding likes? I imagine it would do something for the mental health of the youths. But it feels like it would also affect the businesses of a lot of those Instagram influencers too?

| Emilia Clarke on recovering from brain hemorrhages: 'every single nurse was so kind' | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

This past spring, Emilia Clarke opened up about suffering two brain hemorrhages after filming wrapped on the first and third seasons of Game of Thrones. Emilia explained to Stephen Colbert, I genuinely knew I was being brain damaged. She spoke with People for their Kindness Issue about the support she received, including from EMTs and nurses:
In PEOPLE?s first-ever Kindness Issue, the Game of Thrones? actress opens up about her painful recovery journey since her 2011 and 2013 aneurysms ? and how she was able to overcome the difficult hurdles with the help of strangers and loved ones.
?It was a brain aneurysm that ruptured, and it was pretty traumatic,? Clarke, 33, says in this week?s issue. ?The paramedics were unbelievable. They?d given me drugs so I was in less pain, wrapped me up like a tortilla and made me laugh the whole way to the hospital. There I was, bleeding in the brain, and there we were in this ambulance having an absolute giggle. They were so gracious.?
In March, the Last Christmas star revealed she underwent two life-saving brain surgeries over the past eight years to correct two different aneurysm growths. Clarke?s health problems started in February 2011, shortly after wrapping filming on the first season of HBO?s hit series Game of Thrones.
Emilia heaped praise on her nurses:
?And every single nurse I came across was so kind,? Clarke says. ?It?s why I became ambassador to the Royal College of Nursing in 2018. Nurses are the unsung heroes, they?re at people?s most frightening moments.
?The whole experience inspired me to launch my charity SameYou,? she adds. ?People?s lives are transformed completely after a brain injury, and the core of our work is recovery ? it?s not just the first weeks that you need help, you still need help for years. I wanted to match someone with a consistent person who has the answers and can hold their hand and tell them that they?re not alone. Being there when someone is scared, confused or angry is one of the kindest things you can do.?
[From People]
Emilias experiences sound terrifying. I have a friend who survived an aneurysm, and it was a long road of recovery that they are grateful for every single day. I think its wonderful that Emilia is taking the time to thank the medical professionals who saved her life and took care of her. They are heroes who dont often get the recognition that they deserve. As Emilia said, her charity, SameYou, works to support and advocate for people who experience brain injuries. Im so glad that shes doing well, and that shes used her own experience as a way to pursue a project that is meaningful to her and that has the potential to help others and save lives.
Emilias comments about realizing that she was experiencing a brain injury reminded me of Dr. Jill Bolte Taylors Ted Talk about her stroke. Dr. Bolte Taylor, a neuroanatomist, recognized one morning that she was having a stroke, and was fascinated by the chance, as a scientist who studied the brain, to be able to pay attention to what was happening. I first saw her interviewed by Oprah eons ago, and her Ted Talk is worth a watch.
