| Pam Anderson & Rick Salomon finalize divorce after she took his dog hostage | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon?s relationship has always been full of drama. They were married once, years ago, and it ended in disaster. Then they got back together a few years ago and got remarried. Last July, Pam filed for divorce (again). Then they reconciled and Pam got the court to throw out the divorce filing, then they broke up again earlier this year and Pam filed for divorce again. The split seemed ? at long last ? to be the final break. Pam filed for a restraining order against Rick because he was threatening and harassing her online and in real life. Pam also said Rick had abused her (like, he tried to suffocate her during sex).
There were also stories that Pam was trying to get some of Rick?s money ? several months ago, Rick won $40 million in a poker tournament and if Pam and Rick divorced in California, it could be considered community property, I suppose. Rick always maintained that he?s primary residence is in Nevada, which made for a sticky tax AND divorce situation. Basically, everything was a huge mess. But Pam and Rick worked it out ? financially.
Pam Anderson is a million dollars richer today, and Rick Salomon is a lot happier … because we’ve learned they got divorced. Pam and Rick were in a nuclear battle — he filed for an annulment, and she filed for divorce. TMZ broke the story, Pam allegedly held Rick’s dog Bumblebee hostage for a week, and then launched into a tirade that he was bad at sex … which didn’t jive with various text messages she sent him.
But now we’ve learned Rick paid Pam just north of $1 million in return for the divorce. But Rick got something as well. Pam was challenging his Nevada residency, claiming he was a California resident who was trying to dodge taxes on a $40 million poker win. Nevada doesn’t have state taxes. Now that they’re divorced, Pam isn’t contesting Rick’s residency, so she’s off his back. And Bumblebee is back with him, so happy endings.
[From TMZ]
I find it odd (?) that an animal-rights advocate like Pam would take her ex-husband?s dog hostage for a week as part of financial negotiation. I?m not saying she mistreated Bumblebee, but taking the dog does seem like a really harsh move for Pam in particular. As for the $1 million payday? she probably could have gotten more if she held out for longer (or if she had kept Bumblebee hostage for more time?) but I think Pam?s financial situation is pretty bad these days, and she probably didn?t want to drag it out for months or years. A bird in the hand, etc.

The fashion world is saturated with images of Kendall Jenner these days, and her latest spread finds her in the pages of V magazine's Summer 2015 issue.
Following her sizzling GQ cover, the ?Keeping Up with the Kardashians? star looks incredible in some Calvin Klein denim goodies as she poses for famed photographer Steven Klein.
Kendall told V that she?s thrilled to be starring in the #mycalvins Denim campaign- ?This will be my first billboard on Sunset, which I?m ecstatic about. It?s really humbling, and honestly, I am a pretty shy person, but being part of the Calvin campaign and seeing myself up there will be a dream come true. I might have to eat every night at the Chateau Marmont with that hanging over my shoulder. ?Oh yeah, that little thing? I didn?t notice!??

| Kristen Stewart: 'Hollywood is disgustingly sexist. It's so offensive it's crazy' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I included a preview of Kristen Stewart?s Harper?s Bazaar UK cover in yesterday?s links. I was actually waiting for any interview excerpts before I discussed the cover and editorial, even though this photoshoot is one of the best I?ve seen from Kristen in a while. Kristen is a pretty good ?model? ? she can look great with strong styling or very light, undone styling. For the past year or so, most of her magazine editorials have been with a tomboy-vibe, nothing girly or frilly. I enjoy the fact that Bazaar UK put her in this Pink Chanel and posed her on a beach ? the result is rather stunning, isn?t it?
As for the interview? Bazaar promised us ?sexuality, sexism and her search for serenity.? Did they deliver? Eh. Some highlights:
Being famous at such a young age: ?Having that much human energy thrust at you and then being critically analysed is obviously disarming. Control issues make me so nervous. It?s not knowing what?s going to happen. So what people were seeing was what happens when you are terrified. My palms sweat, my knees shake, I don?t think I can stand in my heels, I?m breathing heavily, I feel nauseous. I?ll be so nervous and then my body creates something to calm me down and I get so tired I?ll just…? and she slumps over the table.
Hollywood is sexist: “Women inevitably have to work a little bit harder to be heard. Hollywood is disgustingly sexist. It’s crazy. It’s so offensive it’s crazy.?
On fame: ?Fame is the worst thing in the world. Especially if it’s pointless. When people say, ‘I want to be famous’ Why? You don’t do anything.”
Body image: “I’m a little bigger than sample size when I’m eating cheeseburgers and am happy and comfortable. If I’m stressed or working, the weight falls off. My weight and my sleep are tied to my nervous system. Sometimes I’ll sleep for 12 hours a night and sometimes sleep just doesn’t exist for me for a couple of months.”
Filming sex scenes: “I only hate them when they’re contrived. That’s when it’s grotesquely uncomfortable. On Twilight we had to do the most epic sex scene of all time. It had to be transcendent and otherworldly, inhuman, better sex than you can possibly ever imagine, and we were like, ‘How do we live up to that?’ It was agony. Which sucks, because I wanted it to be so good.”
[From Harper?s Bazaar UK and E! News]
So?not so much about ?sexuality?. Which is fine. Kristen doesn?t have to confirm or deny anything, mostly because her actions speak louder than words, even if it makes the mainstream press uncomfortable with how to reference Kristen?s girlfriend Alicia Cargile. Kristen does seem to have done a lot of growing up in the past few years. I like that she?s gone back to her indie roots, and I think she?ll probably figure out an interesting career path for herself long-term post-Twilight. And I do think she?s telling the truth about being a nervous, fidgety, high-strung person. But I still don?t understand people who can sleep for 12 hours at a time consistently. How do you DO that?

| Kendall Jenner: 'You have no idea how many doors closed on me' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kendall Jenner is featured in the May issue of V magazine to promote her soggy new Calvin Klein campaign. The shoot is very unimaginative (you can see it here) and shows Kendall doing some strange gym stretch. Kendall’s been seriously modelling since turning 18 a little over a year ago (because she didn’t know what else to do). She’s doing pretty well for herself for a relatively new face. I don’t doubt that Kendall met a few skeptical faces when she broke into her career. Let’s get real though — she did have lots of family friends to call upon. I think she’s a good model, but she didn’t have to work as hard to get noticed as most girls do. Kendall still says she had a very difficult time landing jobs:
Breaking into the fashion industry was hard: “You have no idea how many doors closed on me and how many adults were either initially reluctant to take a chance working with me or who outright laughed at me behind my back. It was kind of hard because all I was doing was going on go-sees, trying my best to break into this business as a teenager. I am so grateful to Marc Jacobs, Riccardo Tisci, Karl Lagerfeld, and Katie Grand, who took a chance on me that first season and gave me an opportunity. My parents taught me that work ethic is one of the most important keys in life, and I believe it.”
On Calvin Klein: “The American Dream. I feel like it?s such a staple. I can barely remember a time, or underwear in general, before Calvin Klein. They?re O.G. I feel honored to be linked to something with such great roots. I can only hope that I?m around as long as CK has been. This will be my first billboard on Sunset, which I?m ecstatic about. It?s really humbling, and honestly, I am a pretty shy person, but being part of the Calvin campaign and seeing myself up there will be a dream come true. I might have to eat every night at the Chateau Marmont with that hanging over my shoulder. ‘Oh yeah, that little thing? I didn?t notice!’ My little sister also wears Calvin, but I?m kind of claiming it as my own. Okay Kylie?”
[From V magazine]
Yep, Kendall Jenner will have her own billboard on Sunset. She already has one in Times Square, although she’s never seen it in person. It’s only a matter of time before we see a selfie of Kendall in front of both these billboards.
There’s also a fake article in this week’s issue of OK!, which says Kendall is considering a boob job to impress Justin Bieber. She reportedly wants to go “up a couple of breast sizes” but insists “she’ll keep it classy.” This story can’t be real. Kendall’s the only Kardashian-Jenner girl who won’t go in for body modification. She can’t tweak her looks too much and stay on the runway.

| Jessica Alba on being the boss at The Honest Company: 'I?ve made people cry' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Jessica Alba covers the new issue of More Magazine. It?s a meh editorial, but I?m not expecting Vogue-quality content from More Mag (no shade). Alba is promoting her ?billion dollar company,? The Honest Company, which produced eco-friendly products. I have my doubts as to whether The Honest Company is really and truly valued at a $1 billion, but Alba has built herself a lucrative business and obviously, there?s a big market for what she?s selling.
What I found interesting about this interview was Alba?s discussion about crying at work. ?Crying at work? is a thing and people have strong opinions about it. Some women believe that ?crying at work? is the most unprofessional thing you could ever do, that it is weak and your colleagues and superiors will underestimate you if you ever shed a tear. Some women believe that ?crying at work? is just part of life and tears don?t have anything to do with one?s professionalism. What fascinates me about this Alba interview is that she?s talking about being a boss and MAKING an employee cry and not giving a sh-t. I can?t tell if this is a boss move or if she?s a terrible person.
Alba on making someone cry: “I’m straight to the point. I?ve made people cry. I have to say, ‘This isn’t personal. This is what needs to get done, and it’s just as simple as that. And ? we’re not crying anymore.’ ”
Working with men: “My [business] partners are men. Whenever I say something that’s kind of against their intuition, they go back and talk to their wives. And then their wives usually agree with me. So that?s how we get stuff done over here.”
Building her business: “I didn’t want to wake up and kick myself for not pursuing something I believed in. I couldn’t wait to reject the status quo, punch it in the face and kick it to the curb.”
The Honest Company?s office features a ?floor-to-ceiling display of succulents sprouting from sweet little pots?: ?Sometimes my CFO gets irritated about it. Someone has to come every week to water and put them in the sun for a day, and that costs money. We needed something alive. We couldn?t just have pretty pictures. And so when he?s like, ?Do we really need the live succulents?? I say, ?Yes, yes, we do.??
The company?s $1 billion valuation: ?When you look at the marketplace that we?re playing in, it?s trillions of dollars. Window cleaner alone is a billion-dollar business, just to give a bit of perspective, because people get so freaked out by our valuation. Also, it doesn?t feel tangible yet, because I?m still hustling.?
[From More Magazine & People]
I?m actually impressed with this side of Alba, especially considering I think very little of her acting talent. This is probably her calling, not acting. She has a head for business, and I hope she sticks with it. As for making her employees cry? if she was a dude, she wouldn?t even register the fact that she was making someone cry, you know? But it does feel like she?s taking pride in it a little bit. If Alba told you that your work was crap and you needed to do something else, would you cry at work?
