You know, I realized something the other day: I spend so much time focusing onEmily Ratajkowski and her perfect funbags on this site, that sometimes Iforget to focus onthe rest of her body too. Including that killer booty of hers. But luckily, Emily made sure toremind me what I’ve been missing out on with her […]

I’m too lazy to look up howSara Jean Underwood‘s quest to crowdfund her hot nobody lifestyle is going (also, I’d rather just look at these pictures instead). But judging from these shots, somebody’s gotta be paying for all these expensive trips to exotic locations. And that got me thinking, if it’s working for Sara, maybe […]

| Nina Dobrev: For better or for worse I wear my workout clothes in daily life | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Nina Dobrev did an event at Coachella for Reebok, where she talked about the fact that she wears activewear on the daily. This seems to be a very California thing, although I will admit that I wear my workout clothes outside the gym I try not to make a habit of it. It’s socially acceptable here on the east coast, it just seems more common out in California where it’s sunny all the time. (Sidenote: have you seen this video?) Reebok has higher end leggings at Nordstrom which run from $55 to $85. I spend $30 at most on leggings and I’ll sometimes buy the really cheap ones overseas on eBay, but I digress. Anyway People made a big deal out of the fact that Nina is claiming leggings can double as pants, but I don’t really think she’s saying that, just that she’s not ashamed to wear her workout clothes around town.
Whether Nina is filming on set or working out in the California desert, staying active is a really big part of her life. “Me and my girlfriend, who I work with a lot on set, do challenges every single day during our lunch break,” she told Teen Vogue. “We’ll do reverse lunges and planks to see how long we can go before someone gives up. I even asked one of the producers if he could build us a volleyball court and they did. [Being there] 12 hours a day… sometimes I don’t have time to go to the gym.”
Nina’s also made workout gear part of her everyday wardrobe. “For better or for worse, I tend to wear my workout clothes in my day to day life because now workout clothes are so stylish,” she said, adding that Reebok’s Classic Leathers is a staple for her elevated sporty look. “What I love about the Classics is that they’re specifically leather, so they can kind of go day to night. For guys, the black ones look like formal shoes… so you can dress them up, too.” – Teen Vogue
?I think that leggings have come a long way. I was a dancer and I went to musical theater high school so leggings were my uniform, if you will, and it was just not the same. They were your workout thing and then you would change into jeans immediately. Whereas now leggings have mesh and really cool patterns? They?ve tailored the pieces to make them more fashion forward so you feel good in them…
?I like to mix and match?I don?t want to be the one who goes to the gym and looks aggressive. At the end of the day, it looks cool because it is cool, it shouldn?t look like you?re trying hard. Some people just go to the gym with full face, full hair done, it looks like they just walked out of a salon.? – People
[From Teen Vogue and People]
She’s not saying that leggings are pants, just that you can wear them out and not be embarrassed to be seen in them, I think. Things have changed in that department quite a bit over the years. Personally, if I wear my workout gear all day that usually means I?m depressed or on my period. This may be TMI, but I wear workout gear to bed so I can wake up and get a workout in. Then if I don?t change, whether I’ve worked out or not, it?s like I?m wearing my pajamas around town. Even though it appears I am being fashionable, I know I haven?t changed all day. So I kind of look forward to wearing actual clothes. How much trouble is it to change really?

| Marion Cotillard in Y/Project at the Cannes Film Festival: lovely or tired? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Could we get any more French than this photo? Here are Marion Cotillard and Charlotte Gainsbourg at the Cannes Film Festival photocall for Ismael?s Ghosts today, the first day of Cannes. This year?s Cannes Film Festival will be very heavy on the art-house films, international cinema, Nicole Kidman and? not much else. Everyone?s saying that this year?s Cannes feels pretty muted, but I hope we at least get some good premiere photos. The Opening Night festivities will probably be huge, and we?ll have fashion coverage tomorrow.
As for Marion, she recently gave birth to her second child, so she probably isn?t feeling like getting all gussied up in some barely-there cocktail dress at the moment. Which is why she wore what amounts to Capri pants and a sheet-dress at the photocall. This outfit is by Y/Project.
Here are some pics from the Cannes jury photocall, with Pedro Almodvar, Will Smith and Jessica Chastain. I totally forgot that Chastain is on this year?s jury. That means she?ll be on a lot of red carpets. Her red jumpsuit here is Alexander McQueen Roksanda.

Here?s Monica Bellucci at the ?Master of Ceremonies? photocall today. That?s not the name of a new film – Monica is acting as the MC of this year?s Cannes. Which means she?s probably being paid to just show up on red carpets and look ravishing.

| Reese Witherspoon: 'People don't have to be snotty and rude when you go into a store' | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I first saw these quotes over on The Daily Mail, and I thought that Reese Witherspoon was responding in a roundabout way to the terrible treatment that Gabourey Sidibe had at a Chanel boutique recently, which Chanel half-apologized for without really acknowledging the problem. (As many of you pointed out to me, thanks!) Reese of course has her Draper James line, which is like a Southern slightly more expensive Kate Spade, and they have three boutiques. Apparently these quotes are slightly older though, as People ran them and pointed out that Reese said this to them last year. They’re celebrating the fact that Draper James is now available at Nordstrom. It’s still worth talking about though, because I think she has a good point about customer service. Plus there’s a huge difference in southern hospitality, which can be fake and cloying but is still very welcoming.
?When you?re on movies, you?re talking to writers and directors trying to shape the story and characters. In Draper James meetings, we try to connect a story to a product,? she told PeopleStyle last year of how she crafts her pieces, including staples like tees that say ?What Would Dolly Do?.? ?We create things that remind us of our southern upbringings and want everything we put out there to bring you joy and be something you?ll have forever.?
Her tip for finding something you love? Be yourself. ?For me, fashion doesn?t have to be serious,? she said. ?It doesn?t have to make you feel bad. People don?t have to be snotty and rude when you go into a store. There are a lot of places in this world where people feel like they don?t belong. I want people to feel like they belong.?
[From People]
I am a Yankee who lives in the south and I can confirm that people are super nice here – to your face. They will regularly be nice in your presence and then talk about you behind your back, which I’m fine with actually. I am somewhat skilled in the art of gossip and I know how to use it to my advantage. Getting back to the customer service angle, there’s something really comforting about being smiled at, greeted and asked how you’re doing, even if it’s just a formality. When I visit relatives up north I do miss how friendly everyone is here and find myself being more “nice” than most of the people there. Also, now that I’m accustomed to this type of service I don’t want to give my business to stores where the people aren’t welcoming. I’m not much of a label follower and I do a lot of shopping online though.
Reese has really adopted a southern person to shill her brand, right y’all?
HOWDY y'all! This news really floats my boat! ?@DraperJames is now available at select @nordstrom stores across the country! So excited for y'all to see! Be sure to check us out! ?
