Leonardo DiCaprio turned 40 years old this week (on Tuesday, actually). He celebrated like any 40 year old hedonist would, with a three-day, multi-city party with all of his bros and lots and lots of early-20-something ?models?. Page Six says that at the Soho House party on Tuesday night, Leo partied with ?Lukas Haas, Tyrese, Adam Levine, Russell Simmons, Robin Thicke and night-life guru Richie Akiva, followed by a wild party at a private mansion.? TMZ noted that while Leo had his closest bros with him (Robin Thicke?!), the party was ?80% models?. And Toni Garrn was nowhere to be seen ? she was in Berlin for work. Further evidence that they already broke up, I think. E! News had more (it?s mostly about food, which is my favorite part of any story).
Leonardo DiCaprio danced the night away with almost 100 of his closest friends at his 40th birthday bash at the Soho House in Los Angeles. Several of the actor’s famous pals joined in on the private festivities, including Jonah Hill, Tobey McGuire, Kevin Connolly, Emilie Hirsh, Adam Levine, Tyrese, Russell Simmons and Robin Thicke.
The entire members’ only club was rented out for the evening affair, and guests snacked on hors d’oeuvres like mini crab cake burgers, tuna tartar bites, and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies throughout the night.
The birthday boy didn’t make a huge splash when he arrived around 11 p.m., and made sure to socialize with all the guests in the main room. One insider explained how the scene was inside DiCaprio’s party, calling it “rather intimate despite its high energy.”
But there was one person noticeably absent from DiCaprio’s soiree: his model girlfriend, Toni Garrn. According to her Instagram, and our insider, the stunning blonde is currently in Berlin for work and was unable to make her beau’s party. But that didn’t seem to put a damper on the guests as they were all dancing to oldies and “jamming out.”
Partygoers didn’t sing “Happy Birthday” to the beloved actor, nor did they have a cake, but several lucky pals headed to an after party at a private residence after the scene at Soho house died down. And as if two gatherings weren’t enough, we’re told that DiCaprio held a get-together at his home in Los Angeles over the weekend as well. Happy birthday, Leo!

NO CAKE?! I think for the bigger milestone birthdays especially, you should have a friggin? cake. Although the ?freshly baked chocolate chip cookies? would have been awesome too. I wonder how many of those models got some Leo Love on his birthday? I wonder if it went down at the Soho House?

Here are some photos of Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux going into the Chiltern Firehouse, the new London hotspot this year. Jennifer didn?t let Justin walk the carpet with her or even walk the Horrible Bosses 2 carpet at all, but she did let him walk behind her to the after-party. She?s so funny. Anyway, while Jennifer was in London, she did some press for HB2, obviously. My favorite quote is from the red carpet of HB2, which is where Jennifer was asked about the ?Oscar buzz? surrounding her role in Cake. Mind you, the Oscar buzz is bought and paid for by Jennifer and her team, just like she?s basically distributing the film herself because no one wanted it. Jennifer told Radio Times that her manufactured Oscar buzz is amazing:
?You can?t help but listen to it. It?s very humbling, it?s very flattering. It makes you jitter from the inside out. It?s a lot of things but mainly I?m just happy that people are receiving the film. That makes me very happy ? we?re very proud of it.”

As for Justin and Jennifer and their amazing, otherworldly love, Jennifer told LOOK Mag that they go on picnic dates? to graveyards. Because they are 13-year-old goth children. Some assorted quotes:
Jennifer on how they spice up their romance: ”To be honest, we’re like, ‘Oh baby, how was your day? Man it’s good, let’s take a romantic picnic to the cemetery. Justin is probably one of the funniest human beings that I’ve ever encountered, so I have the great fortune to laugh a lot. So I think that yeah, we don’t actually take it home, but he does act beautifully on film and, like I say, we get to laugh a lot.?
On the obsession with her personal life: ”I can’t really explain why there seems to be this obsession when it comes to my personal life and the constant reports about me being pregnant. ‘I just try to pay as little attention as I can and live my life. Things will happen at the right time. It’s all about living your life and not being distracted by anything that’s being said about you. You need to enjoy everything that’s good and be grateful to have found each other.”
Why she gained a little weight: “For the last year and a half I went from being a crazy workout girl to sort of saying, ‘My body wants a little break.’ The only downside to that of course is that there’s that couple of extra pounds and 4,000 pregnancy rumours too, but you know, other than that, it all feels great.”
Maintaining her looks: “I don’t really have any special regimen as such. I think I’m blessed with good genes, which kind of helps. Whenever I look at my dad I kind of marvel at how he has hardly any wrinkles and he’s now 81, so I’m sure I’ve benefited from that and my Greek heritage. One thing I do on a daily basis is drink a lot of water, practise yoga and eat very healthily.”

Sigh? what would she have to talk about if not for those million pregnancy rumors, some of which her publicist started? Well, I?d certainly like to hear more about the dates at the cemetery. My opinion of JustJen?s relationship ? based on these quotes and her Bazaar interview ? is that Jennifer thinks Justin is, like, the most brilliant and interesting man she?s ever met. If that?s the case? well, at least she?s into him.
PS? I really like her glasses and I like the way she looks with glasses. She should wear them out in public more often!

Here’s a photo of Jennifer Lawrence rushing into the Ed Sullivan theater before her David Letterman appearance. He loves having her as a guest. They always go off the rails together in spectacular fashion. It’s a very different experience than when Katie Holmes stopped by a few nights ago. As always, Dave and Jennifer entertained their audience. There was some ugliness after the show, which I’ll get to later.
I’ve been searching for a full clip of JLaw’s appearance, but there are only bits and pieces so far. All serious topics were off the table except for the ongoing strep throat madness. Jennifer and Dave limited their discussion to stuff like colonics. For real. JLaw wants to get one done with Josh Hutcherson, and it would be a “platonic colonic.” From what Jennifer has said before, she needs no help in that department. Jennifer also revealed that she once visited Nick Hoult in Namibia and thought his house was haunted. Dave asked if she really believed in ghosts, and JLaw responded, “Of course I do, I believe in anything unrealistic.” Here’s the clip where JLaw and Dave commiserated over their mutual stomach issues:
In this clip, Jennifer talked about her very good friend, Justine, and their first meeting. Justine lacks just as much of a filter as JLaw, who repeated her friend’s first sentences to her in Letterman’s ear. I think Letterman blushed in response.
There’s more. Jennifer said the The Late Show would be really boring after Letterman retired. She talked him into walking offstage with her. Then JLaw returned to take over Dave’s desk for a minute. Oh, and Dave and Jennifer sang together. It was so bad it was good.
Something awful happened after the show. When Jennifer left, she was greeted by a huge crowd of autograph seekers. Someone did or said something to make JLaw flee from the crowd. It’s an absolutely frightening moment, and it happens around the 0:50 mark in this clip. Her security saw something and tried to block her view at the last moment, but she saw it anyway. Then she ran like crazy. My guess is that someone printed off one of the stolen photos. Whatever happened, it really upset Jennifer. (Update: The barricade started to fall.)

Mockingjay: Part I is full steam ahead. After the world premiere in London, the cast split up. Jennifer Lawrence hopped on a plane to NYC where press duties await. Some of the supporting cast members shuffled off to other premieres in Europe. Sam Claflin held up the fort in Madrid, and Elizabeth Banks handled the Berlin screening all by her lonesome.
Liz looked absolutely stunning in this Saint Laurent gown, which is very different from her lush London look. This red dress is both simple and striking, and the fabric drapes perfectly. (Here’s a secret: I’m a sucker for drapey cowl necks.) Liz accessorized with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and Jennifer Fisher jewelry. Bold scarlet lips and a sweeping updo completed the portrait of perfection. There is not one single flaw to this entire ensemble. Liz can wear almost anything, but she struck a high note here.
Elizabeth did some low-key interviews (in comparison to the JLaw madness that prevails) to promote. She told MTV that she “cried her eyes out” when filming wrapped. Elizabeth’s Effie is so beloved to fans that Lionsgate wrote her into this movie (instead of simply giving her a brief mention at the end like the novel did). Elizabeth talked to E! about this change:
Effie’s expanded role: “Effie really is a fish out of water in District 13 and they do not have anywhere near the resources that the Capitol does. So Effie really finds herself having to what I like to call ‘Project Runway her way’ through the wardrobe that’s given to everyone. Everyone gets sort of standard wardrobe in District 13 and she of course has to put her own twist on everything?she can make anything fabulous. Well she [Effie] doesn’t make an appearance in District 13 in the actual book, but Suzanne Collins and Francis [Lawrence] and I … everyone sort of came to me and said ?We really feel like Effie … it would be really fun to keep her involved in the story’ and of course I’m thrilled to be a part of it and get to go to 13 and take care of Katniss a little bit longer.”
This movie is different: “The scope and scale is huge. It’s really a true action film now, we’re not just in the Games anymore, we’ve really upped the stakes of the movie. It’s really about a full scale rebellion and a war between the Capitol and the Districts. So all the action sequences are just amazing and upgraded … action-movie level stuff going on, not just the story of a small-town girl.”
A brief word on body image: “I think that beauty comes in all shapes and forms and sizes and all different packages. And I think it’s all about celebrating value and your own self worth and promoting confidence. I think that’s the most important thing we can give to young people is confidence in who they are.”

Effie without her flamboyant ensembles will be a sad sight to see, but the good news is that we don’t have to say goodbye to this character. She’s the heart and soul of the whole franchise, and I can’t wait to see this new movie.

Here are some photos from last night?s London premiere of Horrible Bosses 2. The principal cast made it to London ? Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, Charlie Day ? plus Jennifer Aniston. Aniston is the only ?horrible boss? I see? The film?s other ?bosses? are Chris Pine, Christoph Waltz (he must have needed a paycheck) and Kevin Spacey. Blah.
So, obviously, Aniston was the most interesting person there as far as fashion. She wore this Antonio Berardi Spring 2015 which? eh. I think Jennifer is trying to work it and make it sexy/sophisticated (especially with the built-in red bustier detail), but I kind of think she looks a tad uncomfortable in it. It?s not her standard-issue little black dress and it?s not the silhouette that she?s used to, but hey? she?s sort of getting out of her comfort zone, so give her a slow clap. I kind of think her hair looks kind of dull too ? her red carpet hair is usually bouncy, tousled, with volume. It looks like she just did the flat-iron and called it a day.
Here?s something interesting: Justin Theroux came with her to London. They flew in together on Tuesday and he was seen leaving a London hotel during the day yesterday (I?m including some photos in this post). But? Justin didn?t walk the red carpet with her. He didn?t even POSE on the red carpet separately. I mean? are they still doing that? The jig is up. We know they?re together. They?ve walked red carpets together before. Why play that game? Did she make him wait in the car?!
I?m also including photos of Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis. Olivia?s black dress is Michael Kors. Now THAT looks like something Jennifer would have loved to wear. It?s okay on Olivia. Nothing special.
