A few months back, Chrissy Teigen shared a picture of her thigh with bruises and stretch marks on it. At the time, Chrissy said, “I was actually just taking a picture of the bruises and then I saw the stretch marks in there. I have those apps, the Facetune and Photoshopping ones, and I just didn’t feel like doing it anymore?and I’m never doing it again, because I think we forgot what normal people look like now.” Chrissy gets an A+ for that last sentence. Chrissy is staying true to her word by just recently posting this to her Snapchat:
That is Chrissy thigh’s and those are her stretch marks – exposed and unedited. She just had her daughter Luna with husband John Legend four months ago. She told E! last month that she was being sensible about getting back in shape. “You just realize you have to give yourself time and understand that you push out a baby, and it took this long to put on the weight, and it’s not going to peel right off, and that’s OK. Enjoy your baby. Don’t go crazy.”
I love this, I love Chrissy?s take that this is what the body looks like, it?s natural and shouldn?t be seen as anything but normal. However, one question about Chrissy?s telling us not worry about post-baby weight: uhm, what? This is what Chrissy looked like in July, when she gave her weight quote. And remember when Corey posted this pic?

This is one of Kristen Stewart?s most beautiful magazine covers in a while, right? Kristen covers the new issue of the NYT?s T Magazine to promote Personal Shopper, her latest film with director Olivier Assayas. Kristen?s whole shoot with T Mag is incredible ? you can see the full package here. Impressively, Kristen really gave it all to the New York Times too ? she invited the journalist into her Los Feliz home, showed the journalist her journal, her poems, her paintings and all of the stuff she collected over the years from film sets. This piece is basically a great read just for the description of how Kristen lives. But the actual quotes are great too ? in between puffs of cigarettes, she talks about her girlfriend Alicia Cargile, the Robsten stuff and more. Some highlights:
Her anxiety has eased up: She used to suffer from ?debilitating physical anxiety? but she?s in a better place now: ?I do think that?s because of the storms I have weathered. It?s not that they make you stronger or calloused ? but they do make you a human.?
Introvert/extrovert: ?I?m not the typical showman. But at the same time, I want so badly to expose myself. I want to be understood and I want to be seen, and I want to do that in the rawest, purest, most naked way I can.?
Looking back on Robsten: ?People wanted me and Rob to be together so badly that our relationship was made into a product. It wasn?t real life anymore. And that was gross to me. It?s not that I want to hide who I am or hide anything I?m doing in my life. It?s that I don?t want to become a part of a story for entertainment value.?
Her girlfriend Alicia Cargile. She scrolls through pictures of the two of them on her private Instagram account. ?Look how cute she is,? Stewart says at one point. ?I love her so much.?
Not hiding her sexuality: ?I would never talk about any of my relationships before, but once I started dating girls it seemed like there was an opportunity to represent something really positive. I still want to protect my personal life, but I don?t want to seem like I?m protecting the idea, so that does sort of feel like I owe something to people.?
Navigating fame post-Mini-Coopering: ?How do you feel like you?re not being stolen from yet at the same time not guard yourself to the point of depriving yourself of so much goodness in life? Nothing killed me. I was skinny as hell, I looked crazy, but I was fine. I now have faith in my body to carry on, and that has made me a better actor.?

The rest of the piece is worth a read because while Kristen is sometimes painfully self-aware, everything about her just seems lighter, more at peace and generally happier these days. The 2009 version of Kristen would have never allowed a journalist into her home, much less showed the journalist her poems, her paintings, her stuff. I don?t want to say that this is because she?s happy with Alicia now, although I do think that?s part of it. I think the larger story is that Kristen has just grown into her skin, she?s become herself, if that makes sense. As for what she says about Rob and how the press around their relationship became gross? sure. I can see why she would say that. But let?s remember that this is also the self-sabotaging girlfriend who cheated on Rob and then PUBLICLY begged for his forgiveness. Some of the publicity around Robsten was her doing, I?m just saying.
