| Teresa Palmer reveals battle with orthorexia: 'It was exhausting to log every calorie' | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I know Teresa Palmer from the underrated movie Warm Bodies, with Nicholas Hoult, which I own. We need more zombie love stories. She was also in Lights Out, which was a middling to decent horror movie and Hacksaw Ridge, which I couldnt stand. Shes 34 and shes actually Australian, which I had no idea about. She does a great American accent. Teresa, 34, has been married to American actor Mark Webber, 40, since 2013 and they have three children together: son Bodhi, six, Forest, three and a half, and Poet, one. Those are some hippie kids names, but theyre not that bad compared to other celebrity baby names.
Teresa was on an Australian moms podcast called Mama Mia where she revealed that she had orthorexia, an unhealthy preoccupation with the nutritional content of food. Orthorexia is not an official diagnosis, but theres a growing awareness of it. She explained that it developed after she was criticized by a female agent over her body, which she wasnt as self conscious about before then.
So I had orthorexia. Not many people have heard of it but it is an eating disorder. I just diagnosed myself with it. From 2009 to 2012 I was in this very unhealthy relationship with food. I was incredibly clean with my eating. I didnt have anorexia or bulimia, but I had something different, which is when you become so obsessed with the amount of calories youre putting into your body, everything had to be of the highest quality. I wouldnt eat anything stripped of its nutritional value. It was utterly exhausting to log every calorie and just to be to just be so overly conscious of the food I was putting into my body.
I always saw to Mark [her husband] that having kids healed me. I met him at the tail end of that. I got pregnant about four or five months after I started regaining a more healthy relationship with food. And then my body just blossomed and I had this big belly and I could feel life within me. It was just incredible seeing what my body could do. I was getting stretch marks on my boobs and cellulite all over my bum and on the backs of my thighs.
I remember seeing these paparazzi photos of me in little gym shorts. I was like look at that cellulite. I didnt care. I was finally liberated from these judgments I had surrounding my body which have existed since I was a teenager. I would always compare my bodies to my friends bodies.
It came to a head after a female agent told me in 2008 after she saw a paparazzi photo of me in bikinis, she said You know what you should start working out because thats a part of your job. You need to make sure that you look really good.
I was like I thought I did look good. The scary thing is Ive always been such a small person and I look back on the photos that shes talking about and I was just so little still. Yes I wasnt perfectly sculpted, but that really set off this huge wellwind of unhealthy obsession surrounding food. Since being a mom Ive embraced it all. The lumps and the bumps and the stretchmarks, its a map of bringing my babies into the world.
[From Mama Mia via People]
That just sounds awful and it makes me wonder how much it affected her career choices after that. Women in Hollywood deal with such sexism, which includes mean comments from other women like this. Its harmful and can be dangerous when they internalize that. I
Im also a calorie counter, it helped me lose and keep weight off for years. I know many people consider that disordered but I think of it like keeping a budget. It works for the most part despite the pandemic weight. Some days I can really be tough on myself though, so I could definitely relate to what shes saying. You feel unworthy when you demand perfection from your body and focus on comparing yourself to others. I have the opposite problem to her though, I eat junk and think that if Im counting it doesnt matter. Im trying to eat more whole foods and to cook more, and it helps.

| Kim Kardashian went to Wyoming to tell Kanye that 'their marriage is over' | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

?Sources close to Kim Kardashian? have been talking to People Magazine quite consistently for the past two weeks, starting right after Kanye West?s ?campaign stop? in South Carolina a few weekends ago. Because of those People stories, we know that Kim and Kanye were not in a good place even before his current manic episode, and we know that they were already talking about separation and divorce. I?ve been saying for months now that Kim and Kanye live separate lives and that their marriage only seemed to function when they were truly separated. Page Six confirms that Kanye absolutely sees Wyoming as his home and his base, while Kim has been staying in LA like always. Now People Mag has another story about how Kim is contemplating divorce because she feels trapped:
Kim Kardashian West and Kanye Wests future remains unclear. The couple reunited for the first time in person on Monday after Kardashian flew to Cody, Wyoming, to visit the rapper, whose behavior in recent weeks has been increasingly erratic, including divulging deeply personal details about his family and marriage. In photos, the reality star, 39, was seen crying in the car with West, 43, and a source tells PEOPLE she feels that she has tried everything.
She isnt getting back what she needs from Kanye, says the source. She was to the point that she flew to Cody to basically tell him their marriage is over and to say goodbye.
According to the source, it seems West still wants to work on the marriage ? he recently apologized to his wife on Twitter ? but hasnt yet taken steps to repair the relationship. The two share four children: daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 2, as well as sons Saint, 4, and 14-month-old Psalm.
He doesnt seem to get what she is saying, the source says. He hasnt changed anything that she told him needs to change.
Kim is very torn, the source adds. The last thing she wants is to be divorced with four kids. She knows that she will be fine financially, but her concerns are the kids and the partnership. She is moving towards a divorce, but who knows if she will actually sign papers.
[From People]
?He doesnt seem to get what she is saying. He hasnt changed anything that she told him needs to change.? Yeah but he?s literally in a manic state right now. Again, I have no doubt that Kim is frustrated and worn out, but she knows well enough that Kanye is in the throes of a manic episode. She?s seen it many times before. She can tell him what she needs and she can tell him what changes he should make to keep their marriage intact, but? it?s probably like talking to a brick wall at this point.
That?s the larger conclusion she?ll have to come to that she doesn?t have the strength to support him emotionally and do everything else, like raise their four children and manage her businesses, etc. Kim is spent. And yes, I do think she?ll file for divorce in the next few months. My guess is that she?ll wait because she doesn?t want to serve him with papers while he?s in the middle of a manic episode, and I also think she?s legitimately worried that she could trigger an even worse episode.

| Taylor Swift is 'happy to make a contribution' to 'The Folklore' business owner | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

As we discussed, Taylor Swift is in some hot water. Or maybe just ?very warm water.? While Taylor dropped her latest album, folklore, with zero advanced press or fanfare, she did organize a huge merchandise campaign, and originally, the merch included the label ?The Folklore Album.? The labels looked a lot like the labels/branding for The Folklore, a Black-owned business. Amira Rasool owns The Folklore, and as soon as she caught a glimpse of Taylor?s merch, she contacted Taylor?s people. Taylor and Rasool?s teams have been talking and Taylor has already changed the labels, dropping ?the? from ?the folklore album.? Rasool said more to WWD:
When Amira Rasool saw the merch one week ago: ?I was so surprised and so shocked and it was really devastating. I saw it happen to small Black business owners, and I was really sad,? she said. She had her lawyers at Fenwick & West reach out to Swift?s team to let them know about the similarity in the logo design and how it was causing confusion in the market. Rasool said she had already received an e-mail from one of Swift?s fans inquiring about the album?s digital download.
This is interesting: ?The main thing was having ?The Folklore? when the album was just called ?Folklore,? Rasool said. She also believes there was similarity to the way the word ?the? in the logo was vertically placed. She said if one Googles ?The Folklore,? Rasool?s logo comes up, and she feels Swift?s people would have seen that. Swift is making sweatshirts and merchandise, along with a cardigan that ties in with one of her songs.
Taylor?s management?s statement: ?Yesterday, we were made aware of a complaint that the specific use of the word ?the? before ?Folklore album? on some of the Folklore album merchandise was of concern. Absolutely no merchandise using ?the? before the words ?Folklore Album? has been manufactured or sent out. In good faith, we honored her request and immediately notified everyone who had ordered merchandise with the word ?the? preceding ?Folklore Album,? that they will now receive their order with the design change.?
What The Folklore is all about: The Folklore, a New York-based web site that received its trademark in 2018, features more than 30 designers from Africa and the diaspora and serves as a cultural hub for contemporary brands, artists and creates to showcase their personal stories. Most of the fashion, accessories and homewares are handmade by local artisans based in South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Morocco and Cote D?Ivoire. In addition to operating as an online concept store, The Folklore also provides wholesale services to African designer brands interested in penetrating the global retail market. ?It?s not just damaging to one Black woman, it?s all the brands that we work with,? Rasool said. All of her web site?s merchandise says ?The Folklore? on its hangtags, but the actual designer?s name is on the inside label. Rasool said she eventually plans to make merchandise with ?The Folklore? label.
The snake fam attacked Rasool: Rasool said Swift?s fans were attacking her on Twitter for speaking out ?and calling me b?h and a liarShe [Taylor] has stood up and defended her trademarks before. She?s a big proponent of people standing up and speaking out. For me to be attacked and say I?m doing this for attention?,? she said. People on Twitter were vehement, saying there was no similarity in the logo?s design. But the name is the same. ?I think there was a lot of damage to my brand for me speaking out. I don?t think I deserved that.?
[From WWD]
Interesting how WWD dropped the most important legal issue in there Rasool owns the trademark for ?The Folklore.? And before last week, ?The Folklore? site was one of the first hits on Google, so clearly? people on Taylor?s team did not do their due diligence before the merchandise was made. I also think the statement from Taylor?s team doesn?t make much sense ?Absolutely no merchandise using ?the? before the words ?Folklore Album? has been manufactured or sent out.? Clearly, the merch was manufactured. The merch was not sent out, because they began changing the labels (to the merch which was manufactured!). I mean, how did Rasool know there was an issue if the merch had not already been manufactured, you know?
Anyway, all of that to say, Taylor did respond to one of Rasool?s tweets yesterday. I feel like Taylor is trying to do right. Now. After her team clearly fked up and after her unhinged fans attacked Rasool online. Also: ?contribution to your company? might be code for Taylor paying a quiet settlement for stepping all over Rasool?s trademark.
Amira, I admire the work you?re doing and I?m happy to make a contribution to your company and to support the Black in Fashion Council (launching on 8/3) with a donation ?@thefolklore @amirarasool @bifcglobal #blackinfashioncouncil

| Demi Lovato's massive engagement ring is worth $2-$5 million | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

As we know by now, Demi Lovato and her boyfriend of four months, Max Elrich, got engaged in a very picturesque beach setting ? and by picturesque, I mean perfectly curated, framed and lighted. Max presented Demi with a huge emerald-cut diamond set with proportionally large side diamonds. Thanks to TMZ, we now know that this baby set ?Max? back between $2.5M-$5M and that the price tag is supposedly because of the cut:
Now TMZ is reporting that the ring is worth anywhere from $2.5 to $5 million, all because it?s a ?special cut? from super fancy celebrity jeweler Peter Marco. Ooo, ahhhh, a Marco original! TMZ?s sources say the rock weighs somewhere between 10-20 carats, and is ?an emerald cut that was handset in platinum, and flanked on all sides by smaller (only relatively) trapezoid-shaped diamonds designs.?
Sources say Max wanted the ring?s design to be ?unique?, and worked closely with Peter Marco to pair the big elongated stone with the perfect side stones, until it was ?just right?. Well, the finished product certainly puts the ?extra? in extravagant.
[From DListed]
The ring is massive and the clarity on those diamonds is gorgeous. I won?t lie, the minute I saw this I started scouring my fake jewelry sites for a faux-cocktail version. I love dramatic, ?that can?t be real? bling. I found a few CZ look-alikes, but they?re $150 and that?s way over my flashy jewelry budget. So, as you can imagine, I would never consider putting a $5M version of this ring on my finger. I have to believe any ring with that price tag just feels heavier. At first, I balked at the idea that Max had anything to do with designing this ring but honestly, I know a lot of men who would come up with a completely standard design (?but make it bigger!?) and call it their own inspired vision.
Demi looks thrilled with it so clearly it?s her style. If this is the ring she wanted then Max got it all right, and that?s a good way to kick off a betrothal. That price, though. Paris Hilton?s 20 carat emerald cut diamond engagement ring cost $2M, so every cent over that is the designers ego tax he tacked on. It?s an absurd amount of money, sure but I also think these poor guys got ripped off. I hope it maintains its inflated value if this is an investment piece. As I said, I love the drama of the ring and would love an affordable knockoff in my collection. But tastes change over time and sometimes I wonder if these couples consider that when they go all in for these huge pieces. And I hate to be cynical but something this distinctive will set the paparazzi off if she?s spotted without it. The headlines will be: Demi spotted without her Lake Michigan sized diamond ? trouble in paradise? Still, she?s happy so I?m happy for her. Plus, she?ll never have to worry about forgetting her compact, she can just use her diamond to check her teeth for leftover kale!
(ps ? Demi was really cute in Eurovision)
