Here are some photos of Katy Perry at the 12th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball. Katy was being honored by UNICEF because after just a few years as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador, she?s already raised $1 million for the non-profit. For the event, Katy once again chose a Marchesa dress, and I have no idea why. Katy is a big deal and she probably has tons of great designers vying to dress her. But she keeps going to Marchesa. While this gown isn?t the worst Marchesa piece I?ve ever seen, it still gives off a cheap vibe, like it?s a prom dress from the mall. No disrespect to mall-bought prom dresses, but I expect more from Katy.
Katy?s date for the evening was Orlando Bloom, her boyfriend of some-odd eleven months. While there were rumors that Orly and Katy had split in the weeks following the election, they?re still happening. They spent Thanksgiving together. And now Entertainment Tonight is trying to make it sound like they?re engaged! ET got some exclusive photos of Katy and Orlando out to dinner a few nights ago ? go here to see. Katy looks like she?s wearing a giant canary diamond ring on her engagement hand. But in these photos from the UNICEF Snowflake Ball, the ring is nowhere to be seen. Hm.
As for Katy?s honor, she was given the Audrey Hepburn Humanitarian Award at this event. The award was presented to her by Hillary Clinton! Katy was #WithHer-ing for the Clinton campaign for more than a year, performing at the DNC and several major Clinton rallies. It was nice of Hillary Clinton to come out and support Katy. Hillary told the crowd:
?On a personal level, I cannot tell you how delighted I am to be here to help celebrate a global megastar. I have seen Katy?s commitment to the causes she believes in firsthand. I?ve gotten to spend time with her and I know how deeply she cares about making our world a better place. She is serious about understanding the complex problems we face and pulling people together to solve them. We need champions like Katy now more than ever: her passion, her energy and, yes, her voice, louder than a lion.?
Perry received the award after raising more than a $1 Million for UNICEF and serving as an ambassador for the global nonprofit for the past few years. Perry tossed the glowing compliments right back at the former Secretary of State with her acceptance speech: ?I?ve always had a voice ? a singing voice ? but I?ve never had a voice like I?ve had before. Hillary has lit that voice inside of me, and that light will never go out, it will continue to get brighter and brighter and brighter. Thank you Hillary.?

This honestly has me tearing up. GAH. Who would have thought that a Katy Perry story would have me all emotional? But it?s so painful to think of all of these young women who really believed in Hillary Clinton and female empowerment. It?s painful to think of what all of those young women have been shown about the reality of the world with Donald Trump?s victory.

Yesterday was Giving Tuesday, a now five year-old tradition where people give to their charities of choice on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. I gave to a few organizations who may be particularly hurting under the Trump administration (check out John Oliver’s list of charities for ideas) and I gave in my family members’ names as the donations can make nice gifts. We’re all still kind of shell shocked and instead of buying stuff we’re trying to figure out what to do next, and there are already groups on the ground doing the hard work. That’s how I try to make a difference as a single mom without much time to spare but other people put their time and effort into working for charity and that’s admirable. Kristen Bell has always emphasized giving back to others and viewing everyone with kindness. While she was doing workfor an organization out of LA assisting the homeless called P.A.T.H, Bell spoke with E! about her charity work and philosophy. I know this post isn’t going to get a lot of interest, but please consider this – how great would it be if more celebrities promoted their charities of choice rather than the products and projects they’re usually hawking?
Kristen Bell has passionately volunteered her time with P.A.T.H (People Assisting The Homeless) for the last few years and opened up to E! News exclusively in an interview.
“It was right after I had kids, and it really hit me because I had just had a baby, and I was sort of floating around this idea that everybody is someone else’s baby…I would want others who are capable and had the ability to reach out a helping hand, and my mom always taught me that you have two hands for a reason, one hand is for you and one is for some giving,” the Good Place star shared with us while at P.A.T.H in Hollywood.
P.A.T.H is a nonprofit whose mission is to end homelessness for individuals, families, and communities. They’ve been around for over 30 years, and in just the last three years they’ve helped more than 6,500 people in California find permanent homes. Kristen has helped move in many families with P.A.T.H and explains, “It’s really important not to stay in our bubble, and we need to see all walks of life and all types of people and hear their stories and learn how we can work together.”
She added, “because it’s really just team human you know what I mean?”
Yes. And in working together, hopefully we can see our homeless population rate lower.
One way you can get involved with P.A.T.H is participating in what Kristen calls an “invisible feast,” an event she has co-chaired for the last couple of years.
“It’s an event we have here at P.A.T.H in the fall where we say we’re not going to make you come to an event, get dressed up and feed you a rubber chicken?just whatever you would have spent on a night out with your family…$40, $70, whatever it is, donate it, and we will make sure 100% of the proceeds go to helping people find a permanent home.”

E! also has the video of Bell’s quick interview with them which you can see on their site. Bell is very type A and she can be annoying, but she’s also someone who cares and feels things deeply. It would be easy for her to just sit back, do movies and sell products (to be fair she does that too) but she’s also putting work into helping others and into talking about that with the press. Yes some celebrities do that for publicity, but it’s so much easier for them to post bikini selfies or stage beefs with people if they want attention. It’s not like doing charity work is easy by any means. In most cases, like Bell, it comes out of a genuine desire to help people and to spread the word about it. We’ll oblige.

Amanda Seyfried has been open about the fact that she wants to have kids, and she’s said this in interviews well before she (officially) got together with her current fianc, Thomas Sadoski. In fact she got a lot of headlines for saying this back when she was with her last long term boyfriend, Justin Long, and then the two of them broke up shortly afterwards. (Which seemed suspicious to me, as does the fact that she had worked with then-married Thomas for several months at that point, but all those things but may have been unrelated.) So Amanda, 30, stepped out at a Givenchy event recently looking visibly pregnant, and has since confirmed that she’s expecting her first child. It seems like something she’s been looking forward to for some time. Here’s the confirmation and you can see the pic on People’s site.
Amanda Seyfried is pregnant and expecting her first child with fianc Thomas Sadoski, a rep for the couple confirms to Us Weekly. The Last Word actress, 30, debuted her baby bump in a sheer black minidress at the launch of Givenchy?s new fragrance, Live Irrsistible, on Tuesday, November 29. Seyfried is a spokesmodel for the brand.
The Mama Mia! actress? baby news comes on the heels of her engagement to Life in Pieces star Sadoski.
Us Weekly exclusively revealed Seyfried?s engagement to Sadoski last month. The couple met in 2015 when they starred in the play The Way We Get By together and started dating shortly after filming The Last Word earlier this year.
?Tommy and Amanda recently got engaged and shared the happy news with family and close friends,? a source close to the costars told Us at the time.

Kanye West is still seeking treatment at UCLA Medical Center. Reportedly, his stay is open-ended at this point, and no one really knows when he?ll be discharged. I think that?s being reflected in the more official-sounding leaks to E! News, TMZ and People Magazine too. I can only assume that these leaks are coming from Kris Jenner or Kim Kardashian or both. But what?s interesting is that the leaks aren?t happy-happy, let?s-put-a-positive-spin-on-this. The leaks are getting DARK. Here are some assorted quotes from several People Mag stories:
Kanye?s condition is serious. A source says that West generally has ?big ups and big downs, but this bout seems to be much more serious. In the hospital he has been very paranoid and is under constant watch for his safety. He?s still there because clearly he?s not doing well.?
Kim is doing what she can. Reportedly, Kim ?acts very concerned. She says he has yet to be diagnosed, but she uses words like paranoia and explained that Kanye thinks everyone is out to get him. The only person Kanye trusts is Kim. Kim does spend hours with Kanye every day. She says that Kanye is on many different medications and that his doctors are figuring out proper doses. Kim says that not much has changed since he was admitted and that his doctors seem concerned.?
Kanye wants to work. Yet another source tells People, ?They tell me he?s doing good? he?s been really eager to make music and to work even from the hospital bed.?
Kanye?s kids haven?t visited him. A source says, ?The kids have not visited. Kim has been there,? a source close to the situation tells PEOPLE. Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA, where West is being treated, allows children to visit with adult accompaniment and patient permission. Though supportive, a Kardashian family insider says that the episode has left Kim, 36, feeling ?overwhelmed? and concerned about West?s relationship with their children, North, 3, and Saint, 11 months. ?She is very worried about the kids being around Kanye,? another source close to the family tells PEOPLE.

I wonder if Kim is worried that Kanye will have issues around the kids, or if she worries about the kids seeing Kanye in that kind of state. It?s probably a little bit of both, and I think that part says a lot about how badly Kanye is doing overall, that Kim doesn?t even want to bring the kids to the hospital. It also wouldn?t surprise me at all if Kim and the kids were staying with Kris Jenner right now, don?t you think?
Meanwhile, E! News reports that Kanye has decided that he isn?t ready to go back home and that he knows he isn?t where he should be mentally. As for the state of their marriage, while sources admit that this is a difficult time, Kim and Kanye ?know in the end this will bring them closer. Their love has not been affected during this hard time, but it has been tested to see if they can get through it. They have faith they will.”
And finally, production on Keeping Up with the Kardashians has been shut down until further notice. The production was suspended following Kim?s robbery in Paris, and she apparently has barely filmed anything since. Now with Kanye in the hospital, E! is pretty much resigned to the idea that the production won?t be back up until next year. And even then, Kim might be out.
