Mariah Carey has been cancelling appearances left and right and now it looks like we know why, the release of her album was delayed once again. She announced on her site that Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel which at first was due to be August 25th, then on September 15th, is now coming out on August 29th. She said that she is still putting finishing touches on the CD. That doesn’t sound good for her new album, and considering how bad Obsessed is maybe she needs more than another two weeks?

Mariah Carey is pushing back the release date for Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel from September 15 to September 29, the singer announced on her Web site on Thursday (August 13).
"Mariah is putting the finishing touches on her newest album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and we have shifted all of our TV and promo appearances to coincide with the new release date of September 29th," the statement on her site reads. "We can't wait for the fans to hear the new album!!"
The news comes on the same day it was announced that Carey was canceling her "Today" show performance for their concert series on August 28 and would be replaced by Miley Cyrus.
Carey has garnered a lot of press for the album's first single, "Obsessed," which has been widely assumed to be about rumored former flame Eminem. Carey, husband Nick Cannon and "Obsessed" video director Brett Ratner have all denied that the song is about the MC.
Aside from all the Eminem talk, Carey recently spoke to MTV News about working on the album, saying she loved getting in the studio with Timbaland and Jermaine Dupri. "I worked with JD again," she said. "I always love working with Jermaine. Every time it's just ... it reminds me of the first time we worked together, which was 'Always Be My Baby.' Once you do a song like that and you have it forever, you wanna just continue to try and re-create that magic, so that's what we do."

He’s always been known for having an explosive personality in his rap songs, and in Eminem’s latest “The Warning,” he threatens to release nude pics of ex-girlfriend Mariah Carey.
In the new single, the “Slim Shady” rapper opens up with some banter about his split with the “Always Be My Baby” songbird- “Only reason I dissed you in the first place is because you denied seeing me. Now I’m pissed off… You wanna hear something wick wack?/ I got the same exact tattoo that’s on Nick’s back.”
Em also fires back at Carey for her depiction of him in her video for “Obsessed.” “Oh gee, is that supposed to be me in the video with the goatee?/ Wow Mariah, didn’t expect ya to go b---s out./ B---h, shut the f--- up before I put all those phone calls out/ When you was wilding out/ Before Nick, when you was on my di--.”
And then comes the threat to release some compromising photographs of Ms. Carey- “Mariah, it ever occur to you that I still have pictures?”

The couple was happy to pose for pictures while dressed to impress with Carey in a little black dress and Cannon in a grey suit.

Mariah Carey has apologized via Twitter for her performance at Michael Jackson?s memorial. Personally I thought she did a great job considering she was obviously overcome with emotion. At the beginning of her song ?I?ll Be There? (A Jackson 5 cover she originally released as a successful single in the early nineties), she could barely get the words out and her voice was shaking and cracking. It clearly wasn?t done for show. Watching it live, it was impossible not to have a panicked ?oh holy crap? moment when it seemed like everything was going to go to hell. Mariah pulled it together relatively well, but those first few seconds were rocky to say the least.
Mariah Carey has apologized for singing a less than perfect version of ‘I’ll Be There’ at the Michael Jackson memorial service.
Many fans took note of Mariah’s sloppy singing, but the diva explains emotions simply got the best of her.
In a series of posts on Twitter, Mariah commented, “Trying to sing today was basically impossible for me. I could barely keep myself from crying. I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to pull it together and really do it right, but I was literally choked up when I saw him there in front of me. One thing I know is, we will never really have to say goodbye to MJ. His legacy lives on through his music and the millions of people he inspired with his timeless music. He will be forever in our hearts.”

Even though that last part of Mariah?s Twitter is a little cheesy, her performance actually made me like her a lot more. It showed her humanity and vulnerability, and was probably the first time I saw her as a real person instead of a performer. I definitely don?t think she has anything to apologize for. Her song wasn?t flawless, but it was real. Real grief isn?t flawless, to say the least. It?s a time where you break down and everything often goes to hell in a hand basket. Mariah pulled it together and that didn?t happen, but if anything I think it made her more likable as a person, regardless of other people?s comments about the professionalism of her performance.

Mariah Carey had the difficult task of being the first performer at the Michael Jackson memorial on Tuesday. And when her voice cracked in the first few moments of her cover of the Jackson 5's "I'll Be There," she said she felt like she disappointed everyone.
On the "Today" show Wednesday (July 8), Carey described how hard it was for her to sing on the show and how seeing the casket made it difficult for her to get through the performance. "I feel a little bit like I let everybody down, but I really did try and it was difficult," she said. "But you know what I think? It was a true and honest emotional moment."
On Tuesday, Mariah also took to her Twitter to share with her fans her disappointment over her performance and how completely emotional she became at the show. "Trying to sing today was basically impossible for me," she wrote. "I could barely keep myself from crying."
She apologized for the performance, during which she was joined by her "MTV Unplugged" duet partner Trey Lorenz. "I'm sorry that I wasn't able to pull it together and really do it right, but I was literally choked up when I saw him there in front of me," she tweeted. "One thing I know is, we will never really have to say goodbye to MJ. His legacy lives on through his music and the millions of people he inspired with his timeless music. He will be forever in our hearts."
