Stepping out for a night on the red carpet, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon attended the New York City premiere of “Precious” on Saturday night (October 3).
Held at the Alice Tully Hall, the cute couple showed up decked out in stylish black garb as they held one another while passing through the press line and inside the theater.
Meanwhile, Nick recently voiced the couple’s plans to get working on starting a family - admitting that it’s something they’ve been thinking about.
He tells, “We definitely want a family. It’s at the forefront of our minds.... We’d be happy with one. I want to be able to manage the right amount of attention. We are so busy – if you have six kids running around, no one gets what they need. Kids need a lot of attention.”

Giving her fans a reason to get up early, Mariah Carey was spotted paying a visit to the “Today” show on NBC this morning (October 2).
The “Always Be My Baby” songstress performed a series of her hit songs as part of the “Today Show Summer Concert Series” at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.
As for her motherhood plans, it seems Ms. Carey and her husband Nick Cannon are putting the parenthood on hold until they nail down a few details.
Mariah told press, “Definitely we want a family… but don’t think I’m moving to LA.” Nick added, “We live in both places (NYC and LA). We need to figure out where we are going to raise our kids.”

Mariah Carey was already shitfaced last night when she arrived at One Little West 12th in the wee hours of the morning to guzzle champagne with her entourage. Page Six says
According to a witness, Carey showed up to the restaurant at “1:30 a.m. and was quite out of it. When she exited her black Maybach, she tripped twice and had to grab hold of one of her guards so she wouldn’t fall. She ordered a bottle of champagne but she could barely speak.”
A source close to the singer tells Page Six, “She was probably wobbly because she was wearing 7-inch Louboutins. That’s tough to do.”
Yep, that’s it. Her feet were tired. Just like that time my head was tired and the cops tried to tell me I had blacked out and faceplanted on the sidewalk. Drunk and disorderly my ass! My head just needed a little rest was all. I’m pretty sure I had used it for a lot of thinking and stuff that day.

Mariah Carey insists that her new album of heartbreak and betrayal, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, has nothing to do with her relationship with husband Nick Cannon. But she also maintains that her hubby does not deserve sole credit for her second single, a cover of Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is," despite some rumored suggestions to the contrary.
"Nick says that he suggested it," Carey told MTV News, referring to comments she'd made in an earlier radio interview. "He says that it was his idea."

They may have shocked some by marrying so soon after meeting, but Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s love and marriage is going strong.
The “Hero” singer and her rapper hubby recently sat down with InTouch magazine where Mariah explained, “I love where I am in life right now.”
And who can blame her? Carey has much to be excited about as her new album, ”Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel” came out yesterday (September 29) and she’s already receiving Oscar buzz for her role in the upcoming movie, “Precious.”
Not to mention, she and Nick are so happily in love (he still writes her love notes after a year-and-a-half of marriage) and are getting excited about starting a family in the future.

Working hard to bring in the bucks, Mariah Carey was on promotional duty in New York City on Tuesday (September 29).
After dropping by the “Today” show to kick off her day, the 39-year-old headed over to Macy’s Herald Square to boost interest in her Fancy fragrance by holding a meet and greet session.
Aside from her perfume endeavors, Mimi just released her new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, which happens to be her first disc since she married Nick Cannon in the spring of 2008.
With the disc featuring Tricky and The-Dream, Mariah told press of the collaborative efforts, “I really enjoyed working with them because I felt like they, in a way, just by collaborating with me, allowed me the freedom to express myself in a way that I may not have felt empowered enough to do in the past,” she said.

Mariah Carey has a new album coming out called “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.” I guess all of us in a way are imperfect angels. Anyway, here are some of the promotional photos taken for the album cover. The pics, of course, show a very buxom Mariah in some type of white garment. Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon may be happily ever after now, but Nick revealed that he had to wait a long time for his dream girl to come into the picture.
The “Glitter” diva dished, “He likes to say that he spoke it into existence. He told everybody who he thought might know me, ‘Tell your girl Mariah that I want to talk to her.’ All this stuff. I didn’t know him…but I didn’t know what to believe.”
Nick finally got his wish at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards after Mariah received an award for “We Belong Together,” and Nick insisted that he give the singer her award.
“He told me that he said to the people that were doing the show, that he wouldn’t do it, unless he could present my award to me,” she explains. “I said, ‘Thank you for all the nice things that you’ve been saying about me.’ And he said ‘I meant everything — give me a chance.’ And then I didn’t see him again for two years.”
But bad timing was to blame for the delay. Mariah says that her bodyguards quickly led her on and Nick did not receive a number. The couple was finally brought back together when Mariah was creating a video.
“I always remembered the moment,” tells Mariah. “We were doing a video and there was going to be a love interest in it. And we were thinking of all different actors and people — we wanted it to look authentic. And I said, ‘Oh, what about Nick Cannon?’ ”
