These are photos of Sarah Jessica Parker in NYC yesterday, filming that romantic comedy she?s doing with Pierce Brosnan. In some of the shots, she?s fake-crying. At least, I hope that?s her ?rom-com fake cry? because if that?s really her emoting? well? yikes. Anyway, I think I mentioned this a couple of months ago, but I finally got around to watching Sex and the City 2. I have to say, I actually enjoyed it much more than the first one. The first movie was just Carrie whining and acting like an a–hole for two and a half hours. While SATC 2 had huge, gigantic problems (like racism, narcissism, ugly Americanism), at least the pace was quick and I actually laughed at a few parts. Coming out of the film, though, I had one thought: ?Well, they did it. They finally killed it. A once beloved franchise is now dead.? Not so fast! SJP was just interviewed by the LAT, and she thinks there?s ?one more story to tell.? UGH. Just burn it with fire, SJP.
The prospects for another “Sex and the City” movie have been in question ever since the diminished box-office dollars and lukewarm reviews for “Sex and the City 2? began coming in last spring. But Sarah Jessica Parker, who produced as well as starred in the two Michael Patrick King creations, said this week she’s not willing to give up on the franchise just yet.
“I would go back,” said Parker, speaking to 24 Frames on the New York set of her new movie, the working-woman comedy “I Don’t Know How She Does It.” “I think http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/movies/2011/02/sex-and-the-city-3-satc-carrie-bradshaw-blake-lively-sarah-jessica-parker.html. I know there is.”
The second “SATC” ended with Parker’s Carrie Preston and Chris Noth’s Mr. Big reconciling their marriage differences after said nuptials faced a threat from Carrie’s former beau Aidan. Over six TV seasons and two movies, however, there have been no children (yet) for the former Miss Bradshaw, something that a third film could explore.
But Parker, taking on her biggest film role with “I Don’t Know How She Does It” — in which she stars in pretty much every scene — said she may not be interesting in reprising her iconic role at this point in her career.
“I’d definitely tell that [third] story, and I know Michael would do it right. But maybe not now. Maybe in five years, you know?” she said.
Parker explained that the impulse to wait came from a desire to feel challenged in her work.
“It’s not that I want to get away from [SATC]. In a million years, who could get away from it?” she said. It’s just that “if I’m not scared again that’s not good for me. That’s literally no good for me. If I’m not terrified and nauseous and worried the first two weeks of production, then what’s going to happen? You could wither on the vine. It’s like if you can’t use your leg. It just atrophies.”
Some reports have said that a new movie would, in the manner of so many Hollywood franchises, take the shape of a prequel, with Blake Lively taking on the role of a young Carrie Bradshaw. (Candace Bushnell is set to publish “Summer and the City,” about a 19-year-old Carrie’s move to New York that said movie would be based on.) Parker said she was pretty taken aback by those reports.
“I was like, Wha-a-a-a-t?’ ” the actress said. She said she wasn’t opposed to the idea of a “Sex and the City”-type story with twentysomethings — she just didn’t feel it should feature specifically SATC characters, especially since both the TV series and the movies explained some of those characters’ backstories.
“There are a lot of important and interesting stories that 21-year-olds can tell,” Parker said. “I don’t begrudge any 21-year-old the opportunity to tell their stories. They prove to us on an everyday basis that they’re interesting. Even their narcissism is interesting. Even their inertia is interesting. Even their tonal speech patterns are interesting.
“But I don’t think we can pretend to go back,” she continued. “It’s creating two histories. It’s like, ‘Oh I didn’t know that about Carrie Bradshaw.’ “

Okay, that interview was kind of hilarious. At first SJP is all ?I love SATC, I would never run away from it, we?ll totally do another movie? and then the dark side rises and she starts talking about feeling atrophied. Also, I find this to be hilariously bitchy: ?I don’t begrudge any 21-year-old the opportunity to tell their stories. They prove to us on an everyday basis that they’re interesting. Even their narcissism is interesting. Even their inertia is interesting. Even their tonal speech patterns are interesting.? LMAO. That?s her polite way of saying ?These young, lazy, vapid, narcissistic whores have a place in society too. I?m hip, I swear.?

Kicking off work on a brand new project, Sarah Jessica Parker and Olivia Munn were hard at work on the set of "I Don't Know How She Does It" in New York City on Monday (January 17).
Situated on Wall Street, the lovely co-stars were well-dressed as they partook in day one shoots for the adaptation of Allison Pearson's comic novel.
Directed by Douglas McGrath, "I Don't Know How She Does it" boasts an impressive cast including "Mad Men" beauty Christina Hendricks, "007" stud Pierce Brosnan and former "Cheers" star Kelsey Grammer.
The flick is described as "a comedy centered on the life of Kate Reddy, a finance executive who is the breadwinner for her husband and two kids."

These are photos of Sarah Jessica Parker attending what I think is the opening of a play, Other Desert Cities. Forget for a second that SJP is wearing some kind of fur bathmat as a coat, and don?t look at her cheesy collar-bow dress. Just look at her face for a second - she?s put on a some much-needed weight, right? Hallelujah. She needed it, and for a moment I was just so happy to see her face looking slightly more ?filled out?.
Now, back to the outfit. How hideous is it? Really? I mean, that looks like real fur - and it has to be one of the tackiest fur coats I?ve ever seen. If you?re going to spend all that money slaughtering furry animals, don?t you want the coat to LOOK good? And then the cardigan and the bow and the dress? eh.
In other SJP news, she was spotted touring the triplex penthouse apartment where Heath Ledger died. Like, she might move in. Is that weird? Or is it just New York real estate?
Sarah Jessica Parker is eyeing a move into the New York City apartment building where Heath Ledger died.
The Sex and the City star toured the $20 million triplex penthouse on Broome St. in SoHo. Inside the 19th century cast-iron building is 7,634 square feet with two bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, two kitchens and two home offices. The master-bedroom suite has two dressing areas and the large terrace space includes a hot tub, an outdoor shower and dining areas.
SJP is looking to move now that her family has expanded, reports The New York Post. She and her husband Matthew Broderick welcomed twins via surrogate in June 2009. They also have a son, James Wilke, 8. Heath had been living in a rented apartment in the building when he died of a drug overdose in January 2008.

What is the line about New York real estate? It?s from 30 Rock: ?It?s like check-in at an Italian airport, there are no rules.? Should the $20 million apartment (!) where Heath died be forever some kind of memorial to him, or should life (and real estate) move on? Eh. I think it?s fine. Also, that apartment sounds awesome.

Much like the adorable photos of Gwen Stefani and little Zuma, these photos of Sarah Jessica Parker and her twin girls Tabitha and Marion (cat names) are too cute to pass up. SJP was out and about with her girls today in NYC. I?m fascinated with the twin stroller thing. I wonder if one of the babies has a tantrum if they aren?t allowed on the top tier of the stroller? I wonder if SJP ever has a moment of panic, wondering if the top tier is going to collapse on the bottom tier - no joke, that would be my biggest fear if I had twins and this particular stroller.
I still don?t know which girl is which, so I?m just going to say that at some point, SJP picked up? Tabitha?? Sure. Tabby and SJP strolled along, enjoying their adorable photo op. Tabby’s chubby cheeks are killing me. Both girls are absolutely gorgeous. I love the little one?s red bow and her little grey coat?with a hoodie! It?s really cold in NYC now isn?t it? They?re getting the cold front and the snow that we in the South just got hit with. Good luck, Northerners!

Sarah Jessica Parker is the January cover girl for Elle Magazine. From what I can see, she?s not promoting any movie or anything, and from the questions in her interview, I think she?s only promoting her work as Chief Creative Officer of Halston. She?s been wearing lots of Halston lately, too. It?s strange - I really love vintage Halston, and the label has been doing some really interesting stuff the past few years, but SJP has only been choosing Halston pieces that look very similar to each other - all of them light metallics that aren?t incredibly flattering. Anyway, Elle sent us some interview excerpts, and SJP doesn?t come across quite as badly as she did (in my opinion) in her Vogue cover interview earlier this year. In fact, I like this version of SJP:
On aging naturally: ?I don?t know what I can do about the aging. Yes, I am aging. Oh my God, I?m aging all the time. It?s like those flowers that wilt in front of you in time-lapse films. But what can I possibly do? Look like a lunatic??
On meeting the twins after their birth: ?[Meeting them] is hard to describe. Everything is suspended. I can?t even tell you what other sounds were in the room. I loved them immediately, but everything?their size, the shape of their heads, the color of their hair, their noses, their eyes?was new to me. They looked surprisingly different from James Wilkie, which I wasn?t expecting.?
On her reaction to being offered the position of President and Chief Creative Officer at Halston and Halston Heritage: ?I kept saying, ?You understand, by offering this you are going to be criticized?? It took me a long time to say yes.?
On taking her role at Halston very seriously: ?I said, ?Please know this now: I will never do this for a title. I will never dip in and out of this. I?ll do it like everything else I?ve ever done. I?ll be involved down to the splitting of the atom.??
On her design skills: ?I might not have the language; I can?t always tell you the exact blend of a fabric, but I figure it out.?
On her daughter Tabitha?s style: ?She?s crazy for bows; she wants her head covered in them.?

I love the part about Tabitha loving bows, but otherwise SJP is always so freaking weird when she talks about her kids. Either she?s comparing dirty diapers to loaves of bread or she’s making the girls sound like fanciful little retro hipster fairies. And she was ?surprised? by the shapes of their heads? Is she talking about their facial structure, or was she like ?I thought their heads would come out octagonal??
By the way, have I talked about Sex and City 2 yet? I rented it a few weeks ago, and I have something awful to admit: it was immensely more watchable than the first one. It was less depressing and whiny too. Of course, it still offended me (the Muslim stuff was just stupid), but I actually laughed at a few parts. Mostly it?s one big eye roll though.

Last night, Sarah Jessica Parker was the hostess of the Bambi Awards, in Germany. The Bambis are mostly for Germans, but they usually get a couple of big international stars to show up and present or host. SJP is an international star? Kind of. Anyway, SJP showed up on the red carpet in this sparkly, shimmery Halston number. I don?t hate the dress - I?m just bored with it. SJP is now the creative director of Halston, and she?s been wearing the line on red carpet after red carpet, and either they?re just designing the same dress over and over, or SJP is just picking out similar dresses over and over. Plus, the way she?s half-heartedly whipping her skirt up is making me think of horses whipping their tail. Horses. Now that?s all I can think of. She had a costume change for her hosting duties - Elie Saab. Much better, honestly.

Always up for a swanky evening out, Sarah Jessica Parker attended the 2010 Bambi Awards in Potsdam, Germany on Thursday (November 11).
The ?Sex and the City? babe looked oh-so-stylish in a fabulous lavender dress and giant heels as she posed for pictures in front of a luxurious Mercedes ahead of the event.
In other news, it is being reported that SJP wept when she found out her designer line colleague, Bonnie Takhar, was fired from Halston.
Apparently, Bonnie had some differences with other head people at the company, but it sounds like she will have no problem finding other work as she?s worked with an impressive bunch ? Jimmy Choo, Donna Karan and Earl Jeans.

Braving the cold rainy weather in New York City, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted walking son James Wilkie to school on Friday (November 5).
Keeping it casual, the ?Sex and the City? star threw on rainboots and jeans as she walked hand-in-hand with her adorable boy and offered up a quick smile for the on-hand photogs.
Last night, Sarah attended Ralph Lauren?s ?The World Of Gloria Vanderbilt? launch and looked fabulous as usual.
She was joined by fellow celebs such as Camilla Belle, Kelly Ripa, and Uma Thurman.

Sticking to her usual routine, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted walking her son to school in New York City on Friday (October 15).
The ?Sex and the City? star looked cute in a layered ensemble with jeans and boots as she enjoyed the mother/son time with James.
Last night, SJP attended a gay rights dinner in the Big Apple where she co-hosted and socialized while sipping cocktails all night.
And for the speculation of the return of ?Sex and the City, Sarah told, ?I don?t know the future. I would say that you never know what will happen with that particular franchise. It's less about the reviewers than it is about the audience, and they?ve been pretty true, so we tend to listen to them more than anybody else.?
