Keeping a low profile these days, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted tending to her motherly duties in New York City on Wednesday morning (September 8).
Making for quite the eventful trek, the "Sex and the City" star offered up a wide array of facial expressions while taking son Jamies Wilke Broderick to his first day of school.
On the career front, SJP is said to be eyeing the starring role in a comedy titled "A Family Affair".
According to IMDB, "Parker would play a real estate agent who has a one-night stand with a distinguished older man. After becoming engaged to someone else and heading off to meet her fianc's family, she discovers her future father-in-law was her bedmate."

Looking exhausted, but beautifully sun-kissed, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick were spotted arriving at JFK Airport in New York City on Tuesday evening (August 24).
The ?Sex and the City? chick and her ?Cable Guy? hubby made their way through the terminal while keeping their heads down and shades on as they were in no mood for the paparazzi.
The couple ? who?s been married since 1997 - proceed to share an intimate kiss once they were inside the safety of a chauffeured vehicle, which whisked them away from the airport.
Sarah and Matt spent the week vacationing in Tahiti, where they stayed at an exclusive and very romantic private resort on the island which is in French Polynesia.

Always keeping busy with work and family, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted out with son James Wilkie Broderick in New York City on Friday (June 11).
The duo happily strolled along as they picked up groceries from Gourmet Garage in Manhattan's Greenwich Village
The sighting comes after SJP made a surprise appearance on the on the season premiere of "Work of Art".
Being the executive producer of the show, the Carrie Bradshaw babe dished out advice, telling, "Be brave, be competitive, and be yourselves. Show the world your art. It's time. Do it."

Performing her daily ritual, Sarah Jessica Parker walked her son James Wilkie Broderick to school this morning (June 8).
The ?Sex and the City 2? hottie looked to be in a good mood as she strolled through the West Village of Manhattan, holding her little man?s hand.
Last night, Ms. Parker was spotted at the Council of Fashion Designers of America?s annual gala in New York City, looking fabulous in a dress designed by the late Alexander McQueen.
Of the deceased designer, SJP told press, ?He had the most beautiful hands I have ever seen.?

After last weekend?s weak performance, SATC2 has again posted a low number, slipping to the #5 spot and bringing in just over $12 million.

The dismal earnings for ?Sex and the City 2? have cast doubt on whether a third movie will be ordered, but Sarah Jessica Parker says she?s holding out hope.
The ?Failure to Launch? actress told press, ?I hope Carrie [Bradshaw, her character] will live on. She will live on- even if the movies don?t.?
Critic Gary Susman offered an explanation for the poor $37.1 million in box office receipts on opening weekend- a conglomeration of bad circumstances.
"It's possible that the film was hurt by poor reviews, its R-rating, and its 2 1/2-hour running time (allowing for fewer screenings per day) or its inability to attract male moviegoers (polling found theSex 2 audience to be 90 percent female), but none of these proved obstacles for the first movie. Maybe it's just that real-life women the ages of Carrie or Samantha were busy taking their kids to see Shrek."

Getting some much needed rest following last night's UK premiere and afterparty of "Sex and the City 2," Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis were spotted stepping out in London, England on Friday (May 28).
The SATC stars made separate exits from the ritzy Claridges hotel on the same day in which their sure-to-be-blockbuster film found its release into theaters.
While Miss Davis was quickly escorted out of paparazzi view, SJP stopped to sign autographs for fans before visiting the offices of the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
The actress, who plays Carrie Bradshaw in the HBO television-to-movie franchise, happened to be wearing a McQueen dress to yesterday's red carpet extravaganza.

Heading overseas for more promotional duties, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted arriving in London, England today (May 26).
The ?Failure to Launch? babe looked to be in good spirits as she made her exit from the airport terminal to find plenty of paparazzi waiting for her.
SJP has been working overtime as of late to drum up some interest in her new sure-to-be-hit film ?Sex and the City 2,? although she mistakenly called her husband Matthew Broderick ?average? during a recent promotional interview.
Talking about her son, Parker explained, "[James Wilkie] is, for the moment, more on the diminutive side. Some might call it a Napoleon complex, it [his age] gives him some [confidence] because he is so mature. He's a brainiac... well I think so, naturally. He?s not quite tiny - that's on my husband's side - well, actually Matthew is average... not in personality or in intellect.... no, no, no, no, no? Let me clear this up. For the record, not in personality, intellect, charisma, talent, genuine likeability, well the list could go on and on."

As previously reported by Gossip Center, SJP and her ?Sex and the City? gals glammed it up at the ?Sex and the City 2? premiere held at New York?s Radio City Music Hall the night before.
In between posing for pictures with Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon, Sarah told press, "You can't hang your hat on fashion forever. I think people want a substantive story that is meaningful whether they relate or not, and they want to hear women talk about things that are important to them besides their desire to wear a pretty dress. [What's] so unique about these characters is that you can do both."
