The woman selected by Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick as the surrogate for their twin girls is a self-proclaimed “bisexual rocker.” According to the Daily Mail
Michelle Ross, who has previously acted as a surrogate mother for a New York gay couplel, is reportedly due to give birth in July.
Her MySpace profile reveals, ‘I have had Pink hair and tattoos and spiked collars. My favourite shoes are five-inch black spike heels which lace up the front. I love metal and rock down to the bones.’
Michelle has a tattoo on one of her wrists of an overlapped Pink and blue triangle, a symbol for bisexuality. On MySpace Ross identifies herself as ‘bi[sexual].’
Well, if Matthew couldn’t carry the twins to term himself, I suppose an ugly gay woman is probably the next best thing. The twins will probably never even know the difference.

There?s some interesting backstory to yesterday?s announcement that Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick were expecting twin girls from a surrogate. Apparently, Star Magazine was set to break the story today, with added details about the surrogate mother. Star was also the tabloid to ?break the story? several months ago that Matthew was cheating on Sarah Jessica with a very young youth counselor. Some sources seem to think that when SJP learned that Star Magazine was going to break the story, she and Matthew decided to release the story quickly, to ?scoop? Star.
The details from Star?s story are interesting: the surrogate mother is a 26-year-old divorcee, and she will be giving birth in SJP?s home state of Ohio. Star is also reporting that SJP and Broderick have paid out ?tens of thousands of dollars? to the surrogate mother. Radar Online has the behind-the-scenes version of what happened:

The reason Parker released a statement was because Star magazine is breaking the story with exclusive details in the issue that goes on sale Wednesday. When Star called Parker?s representatives for comments, the ?Sex & The City? star decided she?d rather announce it than let Star have its scoop.
Tsk, tsk. Is this some sort of retribution toward Star for their exclusive that husband Mathew Broderick had been caught cheating on Parker a little while ago? No! Couldn?t be!
Anywho, Parker?s reps released this statement: ?Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is overjoyed.?
But RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that the new issue of Star magazine will report the surrogate mother is a 26-year-old divorcee and is nearly seven months pregnant.
Star says the woman was paid ?tens of thousands? of dollars to carry the babies and they will be born in Parker?s home state of Ohio.
The couple, who have a son James, 6, decided to take the surrogate route last year, just weeks after Star broke the news that Matthew had been cheating with a 21-years-younger redheaded youth counselor.

If SJP and Broderick were able to get one over on Star, more power to them. The surrogacy thing is their business, and they can announce it any way they like. It makes me uncomfortable to think of the surrogate?s privacy being breeched, though. But perhaps she was the one to leak the information - probably not, though. I bet SJP and Broderick have an actual legal contract with this woman, and part of the contract is a confidentiality agreement. And they?re paying her handsomely for her silence… and for the babies, of course.

Rep confirms that the couple are having daughters through a surrogate.By Eric Ditzian

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are expecting twin girls with a surrogate mother, the couple has confirmed. Their due date is toward the end of the summer.
"Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate," representatives for the couple said in a statement. "The entire family is overjoyed."
Entertainment Weekly first broke the story after a friend of the couple revealed that they had been trying for years to become pregnant again after the birth of their son, James Wilkie, who is now 6-years-old. Last year, Parker, 44, and Broderick, 47, turned to a surrogate, whose name and place of residence have not been disclosed.
"They had a lot of unsuccessful tries," the friend told EW. "They came to the conclusion that this was going to be the best alternative for expanding their family. They're over the moon and excited as any prospective parents would be. Their life is about to get a lot busier."
Parker and Broderick will celebrate their 12th wedding anniversary next month.
Parker is currently at work on the Hugh Grant romantic comedy, "Did You Hear About the Morgans?" and is getting ready to film a follow-up this summer to the 2008 box-office smash, "Sex and the City," for a May 2010 release. Broderick, whose new film, "Wonderful World" debuted on Monday at the Tribeca Film Festival, is currently appearing on Broadway in a revival of "The Philanthropist."

I?m happy for SJP and Matthew. Obviously, they?ve put some time and effort into this endeavor, and despite of some of the negative thoughts I have about the state of their marriage, I believe they?re both probably pretty great parents. Which makes me slightly ashamed to even bring up this one question - is it at all possible they?re hoping this surrogate pregnancy helps ease some of the bad rumors about them? Even though I truly think they will be very happy with two little baby girls, they?re probably also a little bit thrilled that this might get the negative press off their backs for a few months. Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are having twins, but fans of Carrie Bradshaw’s Sex and the City figure don’t worry they are having them via surrogate according to Entertainment Weekly! The rep said:

While talking to reporters at the Tribeca Film Festival, Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed that Chris Noth will reprise his role as Mr. Big in the second Sex and the City sequel. The sequel will be out May 2010, and even though they haven?t even started filming yet, there has already been enough leaks to sink a battleship.
It?s a smart move for Noth, who lost his steady gig on Law and Order: Criminal Intent for reasons unknown. The rumor last year was a contractual/money dispute, but neither Noth nor L&O producers confirmed that. Noth was replaced by Jeff Goldblum on L&O: CI, and Goldblum?s first episode just premiered on Sunday - he was pretty good. No Chris Noth, but good. I actually prefer Noth as a hardened New York Major Cases detective rather than a commitment-phobic bastard on SATC, but any reason to see him is fine with me.
Breathe easy, Sex and the City fans. Mr. Big is back.
At the Wonderful World premiere Monday during the Tribeca Film Festival, Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed to E! News that nail-biting can cease?Chris Noth has signed on for the movie sequel.
Just what he’ll be doing there is another story. When last we checked, Carrie and Big finally tied the knot. Perhaps the pitter-patter of little feet are in the future?
“I don’t know anything yet,” she said (looking stunning in Narciso Rodriguez, BTW).
Dancing With the Stars stud Gilles Marini may also get to reprise his role as the sizzling?and often naked?neighbor and love interest to Kim Cattrall’s Samantha Jones.
“I don’t have a clue,” Parker said. “I don’t know anything specific about a story for him, but it’s very possible.”
All four ladies, as well as writer-director Michael Patrick King are set to return for Sex and the City 2, due in theaters May 28, 2010.

The storyline reportedly relocates Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) to London, where hubby Big (Chris Noth) takes a job ? and may or may not cheat on Carrie, who may or may not be pregnant.
So where does [First Lady Michelle Obama] come in? Charlotte (Kristin Davis) says of a dress, ?I got this at J. Crew,? explaining that she saw it on Mrs. Obama and ?had to have it.? Last, Samantha (Kim Cattrall) gets buried in the economic collapse, so maybe there won?t be shoes after all.

Ugh, I really hope they don?t try to make SATC: The Sequel ?real?. It?s escapism! That?s why women love SATC… we know we can?t dress like that or live those lives or get into bed with Chris Noth. Obviously, these two twats are getting dressed in two different closets in probably two different rooms! Matthew Broderick looks like a child toucher with a serious case of halitosis who charms you with his according playing and then offers you some candy from his jar. Meanwhile, Sarah Jessica Parker is looking like a Day-glo Disco My Little Pony left on the dusty backroom storage shelf of a Toys R Us in Indiana since the 80s. If these two faglets can't even coordinate their outfits, how are they coordinating their genitals. They ain't!

The off Broadway production of “Mary Stuart” opened yesterday at the Broadhurst Theatre in NY. “Stuart” is a drama about the rivalry between Queen Mary of Scotland and Queen Elizabeth I, and stars Harriet Walter and Janet McTeer. Celebrities were on hand at the opening yesterday, including Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, Kevin Spacey, Laura Linney, and Marcia Gay Harden.
Parker wore a black satin sheath paired with skinny black pants, a black tuxedo jacket, and fushcia Pink shoes with bows on them. The 44 year-old actress was at the opening with her husband of over 11 years, Matthew Broderick. Breakup rumors have dodged the pair for months, but they happily posed together and looked like everything was fine despite Parker’s outfit. It’s like Parker is mimicking her SATC character’s fashion risks and getting it wrong, particularly with the shoes. This isn’t the first time she’s raised eyebrows with her fashion and it won’t be the last. At least her husband doesn’t seem to mind.
It’s nice to see Liam Neeson out and about supported by friends. Last Wednesday Neeson took in a Knicks game with his sons, Daniel and Michael, and family friend, actor Aidan Quinn.
