Making her way around the city, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted out and about in the Big Apple yesterday (September 20).
The always-stylish "I Don't Know How She Does It" star looked polished as she ventured through SoHo, pairing a cropped Pink jacket with gray wash skinny jeans and a blue handbag.
Obviously needing the midday walk to get away from it all, the uber-busy mother of three has opened up about dealing with the stresses of her demanding schedule, telling People, ?I talk to myself. Constantly. Both my baby-sitter and I talk to ourselves, and we?re constantly apologizing for it.?
Miss Parker notes that, while life can get rather hectic, females are wired to handle their never-ending duties, as she explains ?Frankly, I think women are accustomed to doing a lot. We can talk on the phone and tie a shoe and pack a lunch and change a diaper.?
And despite how crazy her things may seem, SJP says she really doesn't have it too bad, telling, "There are millions and millions of women in this country that do it far better than I do with far less resources and far less support.?

These are some new photos of Sarah Jessica Parker, out and about in NYC yesterday. I hate to admit it, but I really think her outfit is cute. I couldn?t pull this off, but it looks good on a petite little woman like SJP. The jeans, the heels, and especially the hot Pink cropped jacket? it all works on her. Usually, SJP?s casual, out-in-NY outfits aren?t this cute, but I think she might be pouring herself into fashion after the commercial and critical failure of I Don?t Know How She Does It. She promoted that film for weeks internationally, she became the face of the ensemble film, and so she?s getting the bulk of the blame for its failure. Part of me feels bad for her, genuinely, because I think she tries and it would be nice to see her succeed. Another part of me thinks that if she?s going to be hellbent on convincing everyone that she?s a movie star who can carry her own film vehicles, she needs to work on finding better scripts.
SJP was recently talking about failure to Stylist, saying that she finds personal criticism “distasteful” and “vulgar”: “I’m criticized all the time. I’m not even circumspect about it. The idea of it all is very painful because I think, ‘How can they make assumptions about me that are so untrue?’. Proper film or theatre criticism is part of what I do; I don’t read them but I don’t begrudge a critic an opinion. But personal criticism I find distasteful. We think it’s funny to be mean and women say awful things about other women and use terrible language and call each other awful names. It’s so uncivilized and vulgar; it’s not good for our souls.”
Part of me agrees with her about the difference between personal criticism and legit film critiques. But the problem is bigger than people just being mean to SJP - her biggest problem at this point is that people no longer give a crap about her, or they are actively annoyed/filled with hatred when they see her on-screen or read one of her interviews. I?ve said it before: I would like SJP a lot more if she stopped talking. I would also like SJP a lot more if she stopped trying to be a big movie star. Her best career move was doing television - she?s a stellar television actress, especially when she has a great ensemble around her.

Offering up a hilarious look at life as both mom and breadwinner, Sarah Jessica Parker fronted comedy "I Don't Know How She Does It" rolls into theaters today (September 16).
The ?Sex and the City? babe plays a working mother of two who is on the brink of losing her mind due to the demands that she and others place on herself.
During the course of the movie, Parker?s Kate Reddy ends up having to choose between a career that she loves and her family.
The Doug McGrath funny flick also stars Pierce Brosnan, Olivia Munn, Kelsey Grammer, Seth Meyers, and Jessica Szohr.

Heading out for a day of promotional duties, Christina Hendricks was spotted arriving at "The Early Show? in New York City on Tuesday (September 13).
The ?Body of Proof? babe looked lovely in heels and a trench coat as she made her way inside the CBS Studios, posing with a fortunate doorman along the way.
The visit comes as Miss Hendricks is currently promoting ?I Don?t Know How She Does It,? a comedy film which hits theaters this Friday, September 16.
The funny flick centers around Kate Reddy (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) who is a finance executive and breadwinner for her husband and two kids.

Making for quite the star-studded spectacle, the stars of The Weinstein Company's "I Don't Know How She Does It" gathered together at AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City for their film's premiere on Monday night (September 12).
With Sarah Jessica Parker and Christina Hendricks leading the charge, the lovely ladies were joined by fellow castmates including Olivia Munn, Jessica Szohr, and Greg Kinnear for the Big Apple movie debut.
Garnering plenty of support from their celebrity friends, other famous faces hitting the red carpet included Kevin Jonas and wife Danielle, as well as SJP's husband, Matthew Broderick, singer Jordin Sparks and actress Sophia Bush.
As for the film, the Doug McGrath comedy is "centered on the life of Kate Reddy (Sarah Jessica Parker), a finance executive who is the breadwinner for her husband and two kids."
Also starring Pierce Brosnan, Kelsey Grammer, Seth Meyers, Busy Philipps and Sarah Shahi, "I Don't Know How She Does It" is set to hit theaters this Friday, September 16th.

This look from Sarah Jessica Parker in confusing the hell out of me. I?m also confused as to why SJP was the guest of honor at the Manolo Blahnik store. I mean, I get that people associate SJP with Monolos, but she was actually in the store, signing shoes for people, like she designed them or something. Since it was all for charity, though, I guess I won?t harp on about it. Anyway, thoughts on SJP?s leather dress? I feel like?sigh? okay, let me work this out. My thoughts on SJP?s style lately: she?s been dressing ?too young? and like she has no sense of color. Everything she wears looks childish to me lately. It?s not that I think SJP should just pack it up and wear muumuus for the rest of her life, and I do like that she?s covering up more and more, just because I don?t want to see her veiny, scary arms. But there?s something ?off? about her style over the past few months. I think her failed collaboration with Halston did a number on her, maybe? Anyway, here?s more about the event:
You can take the girl out of Sex And The City, but you can’t take Sex And The City out of the girl! While Sarah Jessica Parker has always insisted she is very different from her iconic character Carrie Bradshaw - there’s one thing they’ve always had in common - a love for shoes. And last night, a leather-clad Parker celebrated her love of footwear as she teamed up with Manolo Blahnik for Fashion’s Night Out in New York.
The mother-of-three arrived at the footwear designer’s Midtown Manhattan boutique in an stylish brown leather dress and white stilettos that would have made her TV alter-ego proud. Parker was the star attraction of the event to celebrate Fashion’s Night Out where she signed pairs of high-heels she co-designed with Blahnik.
As well as signing regular autographs for fans, she also got a treat when someone presented the blue pair of buckled Manolo pumps, similar to ones worn by Carrie in the first Sex And The City film when she married Mr Big in City Hall.
Proceeds of sales from last night’s event went to the Fund for Public Schools - a cause close to Parker’s heart.
Blahnik also arranged for a one-off Manolo milkshake truck to cruise the nearby streets selling shakes, with the proceeds also going to the same charity.
Meanwhile, Parker has been speaking about how she balances her career and motherhood while promoting her new film I Don’t Know How She Does It.
She said: ‘It?s complicated and it?s basically everything I ever wanted. It?s most difficult at the most surprising moments. You plan to be away and it?s a finite period of time and you can make sense of it and then something happens and you have to leave unexpectedly, say to go out for a work thing, that you didn?t plan and all of a sudden that?s the moment that breaks you. It?s surprising the things that are painful or the things that you feel the most conflict about, or these measures of guilt that show up. It?s like Jenga. It?s a house of cards.’

Sure. Whatever. She exhausts me, and I will be so happy when her promotional rounds for I Don?t Know How She Does It are over so I can stop hearing about how she’s a great mom.
I think I?ve put my finger on what bugs me about SJP in this dress - this dress looks like something Blake Lively would wear. Blake could pull it off - but can SJP?

Mixing a yummy sweet treat with some of the world's most stylish slingbacks, Sarah Jessica Parker spent her Thursday evening (September 8) at the Manolo Blahnik store for New York's Fashion's Night Out.
The shoe-worshiping "Sexy and the City" star joined the footwear legend for Milkshakes and Manolos at the brand's West 54th Street boutique.
Debuting the pair of pumps she helped to create alongside the legendary designer, SJP happens to be unveiling her hot new high heel just in time for the fall shopping season.
While the style savvy team-up was enough to draw a massive crowd, eager shoppers were able to use their love of fashion for a good cause - as a portion of the proceeds from tonight's event go straight to The Fund for Public Schools.

These are new photos of Sarah Jessica Parker outside of The Late Show yesterday. The outfit is Prabal Gurung. Thoughts? It?s looks like an acid trip too me - the colors are too saturated, the Pink is too childish, the pants are too high. I?m not saying that all high-waisted pants are bad - I actually think these pants are flattering on SJP, but overall the outfit is bad on her, IMO. Oh, and white shoes? It?s like color-blocked Saturday Night Fever on an acid trip.
By the way, have you heard about SJP?s Nightline interview with Katie Couric? I?ve included the ABC video below - SJP talks and talks about lots of stuff, being a mom and working a lot and all of that, but there?s one particular thing that people are dissecting - SJP claims that she drives a minivan. Sarah Jessica Parker is still in London, living it up and promoting I Don?t Know How She Does It. I haven?t seen any red carpet photos of SJP in London, so I guess there hasn?t been a UK premiere yet? But we?re still getting a daily fashion show. This charcoal metallic number is Antonio Berardi, a designer I know little about, but he?s growing in popularity. It seems like half of Hollywood is wearing him these days. I think the suit is really pretty, and very flattering on SJP?s thin figure. It covers up what needs to be covered up (her arms), and the shimmer is lovely.
My only complaint is the hair. Jesus, SJP, STOP. She had a good hair day at the photo call, so why does it look like such a disaster in these photos? I feel like SJP thinks that this is ?high fashion? - probably because designers send their models out on the runway with this kind of screwed up half-fro. File this hair under: Things That Only Work On The Runway.
