Minnie Driver, 46, is being sued by her neighbor in the Hollywood Hills for allegedly impeding construction on his home and causing damage to it. In a video posted on The Daily Mail, Driver’s neighbor, Daniel Perelmutter, calls Minnie “deranged,” says she “needs to be institutionalized” and claims she “goes into frenzies” and has caused expensive damages to his home, currently under construction. In his lawsuit, he alleges that Minnie has pelted black paint in baby food jars at his house, that she has told him she wishes he was dead, and that she has tried to kill him with her car. For her part, Minnie filed a restraining order against the neighbor last November (which was granted) alleging similar conduct and claiming that he jumped in front of her car twice. Last week, the police were called because Minnie and Daniel were screaming at each other over a delivery truck blocking her driveway.
Here’s the story from The Daily Mail, which is getting the news from TMZ and summarizing three stories here:
Minnie Driver has been accused by her nemesis neighbour of pelting his home with baby food jars full of black paint in a new lawsuit.
[She] is said to have indulged in the rotten behaviour as part of a campaign that has prevented Daniel Perelmutter from completing construction on a property next to her Hollywood Hills home.
According to TMZ, the fuming neighbour says in his court papers his 44-year-old archenemy has been using the baby jars to splatter the paint all over his walls.
He also claims she has been lobbing construction materials onto his property.
And as she continues her alleged campaign to prevent him finishing his construction, he says she has even taken to blocking off his workers’ access for up to eight hours at a time.
Perelmutter is even claiming he could end up dropping dead due to the stress induced by their foul-mouthed verbal clashes, as he has had a heart transplant.
As part of his appeal to the court, he is asking for the removal of an electric gate he used to share with the Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge actress as he claims she has cut off his access.
The legal filing is just the latest in the bitter dispute between the warring neighbours that has been going on for more than a year…
Indeed their feud reached such heights that last November [Driver] obtained a restraining order against the 74 year old.
[Driver] filed documents to Los Angeles Superior Court, in which she alleged Daniel had told her to ‘f**k off and die’ on several occasions, and twice jumped out in front of her car, forcing her to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting him.
On one occasion, which occurred a week before she applied for the restraining order, the Riches actress – who has seven-year-old son Henry with former boyfriend Timothy J. Lea – claims she got out of her car and Daniel began cursing at her, and blew cigar smoke in the faces of the children she was with…
The neighbour – who was ordered to stay 15 yards away from the actress – admitted there is tension between himself and the actress due to an ongoing land dispute, but claimed Minnie was more aggressive than him, and that she had tried to run him down with her car.

At first I assumed Driver was the party in the wrong, but she’s the one who obtained a restraining order against the neighbor last November. It does take two to continue a feud like this though, and she’s obviously engaging if she’s screaming at him in the driveway, (allegedly) blocking access to his construction crew and throwing paint at his house. However watch the video interview of this guy on The Daily Mail if you can. This is not some innocent old man being bullied by his neighbor, this is a calculated move meant to smear her. I’m not saying I’m team Minnie at all, this sounds childish and criminal on her part if it’s true, but the neighbor is playing the victim because he wants to win this lawsuit. At the end of the video he says “Since [Minnie] lost her job on TV she’s got nothing else to do but to fight with me. Until she gets a job, this is not going to end. Please tell Fox to hire her and get her out of my hair.”

The Cannes Film Festival officially starts tomorrow. I?m really looking forward to this year?s Cannes, mostly because? there will be a lot of American actors, celebrities and models on the carpet. I know that sounds Americentric, but I love writing about Cannes fashion, and it helps when the fashion moments come from recognizable people. We?ll have lots of fashion coverage for the new week and a half! YAY!
Anyway, these are some photos of Blake Lively arriving in Nice, France yesterday. She?s there for work. She?s got a smallish part in Woody Allen?s Caf Society, plus she?ll be walking red carpets on behalf of her L?Oreal makeup and hair contract. I have to say, I?m even enjoying Blake?s casual airport style here. She?s wearing matchy Burberry ? a white Burberry trench with black piping, with matching slacks. I think her bag is Chanel. She?s already announced her second pregnancy, and she just looks lovely. She looked really beautiful and glowy during her first pregnancy too. So, yeah, I?m really looking forward to seeing what she gets up to, fashion-wise.
Thankfully, Blake also gave us a fashion preview, via her Instagram. Serious fashionistas have already ID?d several of these frocks ? you?re looking at gowns by Armani, Versace, Vivienne Westwood, Elie Saab, Dior and Giambattista Valli. Apparently, Blake will be exclusively bejeweled by Lorraine Schwartz as well.

With the Hadid sisters, I was always a bigger fan of Gigi Hadid rather than Bella. Gigi has the lush ?80s look that I enjoy, and I just think Gigi photographs beautifully. Like, out of all the Insta-models, Gigi is my favorite. But Bella is sort of growing on me. Bella has such a unique look, possibly the product of a bad nose job in her early years, possibly the product of Bella staking out a darker, more goth vibe than Gigi?s blonde-swimsuit-model look. I think this June cover editorial of Bella has just solidified it for me: I think Bella is an interesting model. She?s more interesting than Kendall Jenner and more ?editorial? than Gigi. The cover shot actually gives me strong ?80s supermodel vibes too. These Hadid girls are good with throwback vibes, aren?t they? Anyway, here are some highlights from Gigi?s interview:

She?ll be working some of the Cannes red carpets, probably for one or more of her modeling contracts. I hope she delivers some good Cannes fashion!

Here are some photos of Kristen Stewart flying out of LA and arriving in the South of France ahead of the Cannes Film Festival. Kristen should be one of the most notable Americans at this year?s Cannes ? she?ll be promoting Woody Allen?s Caf Society and her French film Personal Shopper. I suspect she?ll be wearing wall-to-wall Chanel, because of her Chanel contract and because, you know, she?s in France. I hope her Cannes looks are better than her Met Gala look.
Meanwhile, as we figured out last week, Kristen and Soko broke up. Twitter gossipers told me that before Us Weekly even confirmed last Thursday. Allegedly, Kristen was seen getting ?cozy? with Stella Maxwell after the Met Gala and now people are like ?rampant canoodling!!? Of course, Kristen was also seen with Alicia Cargile, her ex-girlfriend, just this weekend too. My point is that Kristen is sort of telling us that yes, she and Soko are really over and yes, Kristen isn?t too broken up about it. But you know who is broken up about it? SOKO. Soko first tweeted-and-deleted the message ?CHEATER. F?king CHEATER.? She didn?t specifically direct it to Kristen, but? I mean, come on. So Kristen cheated on Soko and now Soko is bringing some breakup drama? After that, Soko posted this:

Last September, Kaley Cuoco stunned absolutely no one when she filed for divorce after 21 months of marriage. Ryan Sweeting and Kaley Cuoco had a whirlwind romance ? she was on the rebound after her sudden and odd romance with Henry Cavill ended abruptly, and Ryan was winding down an insignificant pro-tennis career. He moved in with Kaley basically after the first date, and they were engaged within a few months. Many people thought Kaley was crazy to marry a new version of K-Fed, but as it turns out, Kaley was smart enough to protect her assets ? she got Sweeting to sign an airtight pre-nup, which turned out to be needed because Ryan requested spousal support from Kaley. Well, their divorce has been finalized and the terms are fascinating. Kaley walks away with almost everything!
Kaley Cuoco is leaving her divorce like a boss … protecting the hell out of her ‘Big Bang Theory’ fortune. We obtained the settlement agreement between Kaley and her now-ex hubby, tennis pro Ryan Sweeting, and she made out well, and the key is her prenup.
Kaley got hitched in 2013, and months later she reportedly signed a staggering $72 million contract — $1 million an episode for 72 shows. That money is protected under the prenup — it’s all hers. On top of that, she gets their home in Tarzana and their Santa Barbara area beach house.
Ryan did … not so well. He walks away with a lump sum parting gift of $165,000. She’s also agreed to pay the $195,000 bill for his 2 personal trainers. Oh, one other thing. He gets to keep whatever cash and gift certificates in his possession. So, dinner at Chili’s?

I take ?whatever cash and gift certificates in his possession? to mean that Ryan gets to keep whatever gifts Kaley gave to him throughout their marriage. Like, if she bought him a car, he gets to keep that because it?s in his possession. Plus, she probably did give him some gift certificates, stuff that came with various gift bags she received from all of the events they attended together. But yeah, Kaley had a GREAT pre-nup. I mean, she only has to give him $165,000? That?s amazing, especially considering her already-sizeable net worth when they got together.
I hope Kaley?s new horsey boyfriend takes note of these developments. Even if she does have another ?whirlwind engagement,? this lady protects her assets.
