Mariah Carey has just confirmed her pregnancy! Mariah won?t reveal her due date, but does say that ?it?s still early?. Mariah gave an extensive interview to Access Hollywood, which was then previewed on this morning?s Today show. She also said that two years ago, she had a miscarriage. Poor Mariah! It’s been talked about for months now, and finally Mariah Carey has come clean: She’s pregnant!
“Yes, we are pregnant. This is true,” Carey, 41, said on the Today show Thursday morning as part of a sneak peek at a three-part Access Hollywood interview. “It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy.”
Husband Nick Cannon, 30, joined the interview to talk about the “absolutely emotional” news, adding, “The greatest gift on earth is a child.”
Carey, who also told of a miscarriage two years ago, would not reveal her due date. She would only say “it’s still early” and “expecting is great.” Ever-supportive Cannon said of the loss, “It strengthened our relationship so much ? she handled it so well.”
Two years ago, shortly after the couple’s secret wedding, Carey and Cannon were in Monte Carlo for the World Music Awards when Carey took a pregnancy test, and it turned out to be positive. “Only one person knew about this and we were like, um, ‘let’s not tell anybody else,’” Carey said.
A little more than a month later, she miscarried. “It was really sad so we had to just, we had really to absorb this and take it in,” Carey said. Cannon added, “And that’s what I said, like her strength would literally be during the day so festive and smiling obviously for cameras and spending time with everyone and you know, literally that night crying herself to sleep.”
The news, of course, won’t surprise those who have followed the couple’s coy references to pregnancy and babies over the past few months. Rumors flew as the expanding singer seemed to bloom a little more every week, and both Cannon and Carey have spoken about their desire for children.
In August, Carey fanned the flames by stepping out in Brazil wearing a maternity dress. She quickly addressed the ensuing frenzy, explaining she is “superstitious” about pregnancy and promising, “When the time is right, everyone will know.”
Days later, Cannon gushed about his wife’s motherly instincts, telling PEOPLE that “she’s very nurturing.” But not until now have they admitted they’re soon to welcome their own bundle of joy.
Now that the news is out, people will clamor to know the sex of the child. The couple wouldn’t say yet, but eventually Carey will cave, because she loves to decorate.

After months of speculation, 40-year old Mariah Carey finally confirmed that she?s pregnant with her first child with husband Nick Cannon. Radar Online says:
In a story airing on NBC’s The Today Show, Carey told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush: “Yes, we are pregnant.”
The Hero singer said she’s expecting in the spring, but wouldn’t give any further details.
Carey also revealed that she had been pregnant before – a few years ago – but had suffered a miscarriage.
?It kind of shook us both and took us into a place that was really dark and difficult,? Carey told Bush about the miscarriage. ?When that happened… I wasn’t able to even talk to anybody about it. That was not easy.”
Oh, great. She had a miscarriage? How am I supposed to make a fat joke now? It’d be like pantsing a blind kid. And it took me a good two days before I could even laugh about that. Way to ruin the joke for everybody, Mariah.

Well, Mariah Carey still hasn?t really confirmed that she?s carrying a baby, but I think at this point, most of us are in agreement - Mariah is knocked up. How far along she is, and the gender of the baby is still in question. Fortunately, there is a very talkative ?insider? who ran to Hollywood Life to dish about babies and due dates. Allegedly, Mariah is expecting a boy, and she?s due in March:

Mariah Carey is four months pregnant with her first child ? a boy! ? a source close to the star tells HollyBaby.com. The Grammy award-winning singer and her husband, Nick Cannon, have been tight-lipped about her pregnancy, but she is expected to make an official announcement in the next couple of weeks when she begins promoting her new holiday album, Merry Christmas II You (which is being released on Nov. 2).
?She?s having a boy, but the reason that Mariah didn?t want to say anything is because she is 40, and she?s superstitious,? the insider says. ?But she?s going to appear on Oprah and The View, so she?s planning on making the announcement soon.?
The insider says that the couple are over the moon about their impending arrival but ?they haven?t decided whether they?ll raise the baby in New York or Los Angeles.? They are currently living in Nick?s LA home while renovations are being done on the former Bel Air home of Farrah Fawcett that Mariah bought last year for $7 million. The 11,750 square feet home has five bedrooms ? plenty of room for a nursery and a giant closet for Mariah!
Mariah took fertility drugs to get pregnant, according to the insider, who says, ?the fertility drugs were the reason for her weight gain earlier this year.? She has also given up drinking alcohol ? ?she stopped drinking back in March or April this year,? the source says.
While we would have loved to see the Hello Kitty wardrobe that Mariah?s daughter would wear, we?re excited that she?s expecting a little boy ? and can?t wait to see her little lamb! Congrats, Mariah and Nick!

Okay, I?m chuckling a little bit. Because everyone was talking about A) Mariah?s weight gain and B) How she showed up drunk to several events during the awards season. Of course, the awards season was over in the beginning of March? so it?s possible that Mariah was living it up and drinking champagne at all of those events as her last baby-less hurrah. Totally possible. And I do buy that Mariah gained weight because of fertility treatments - and I have no judgement about it either. I just hope Mariah and the baby are healthy and happy. Congratulations Mariah! I hope you announce it on Oprah, just because that would be so much fun! Oprah will FREAK OUT.

She?s gearing up for the release of her new holiday album, and Mariah Carey was spotted at the launch of ?Merry Christmas II You? in New York City last night (October 20).
The ?Always Be My Baby? singer was joined by her hubby Nick Cannon as she addressed the listening party at the Allen Room at Lincoln Center.
And it sounds like Mariah?s latest effort will have everyone yearning for Christmas this year, as there?s a great variety of classics included on the track list.
Songs like, ?O Little Town of Bethlehem,? ?Here Comes Santa Claus,? ?Charlie Brown Christmas,? and ?O Come All Ye Faithful? appear on the album, due out later this year.

Although his wife Mariah Carey is yet to confirm her pregnancy, an excited Nick Cannon is glad to open up about parenthood.
During the Running Russell Simmons party on Tuesday night (October 19), Us magazine asked if the ?Wild ?N Out? star had thought about how many kids the couple wants.
To this, Cannon replied, "Not really. I mean, it's just whatever God blesses us with at that time. We'll be happy with whatever it is."
Not caring whether he and Mariah have a boy or girl, Cannon opined, "We just want a healthy child."
Recognizing that he?ll be a young father, Nick continued, "My parents were actually kids when had me. My parents were still in high school and teenagers -- and we have a beautiful relationship. I'll probably be that same way."

The ?Touch My Body? babe paid a visit to Baker High School in Baker, Florida on Monday (October 18) to announce the latest recipient of ABC?s life-changing makeover.
With the show airing December 12, Carey was all smiles as she surprised cheerleading coach Finis Gaston to give her the exciting news.
Taking to her Twitter wall, Mariah wrote, ?So amazing down here @ Baker HS w/Extreme Home makeover! Loving Ty, Micheal, Tracy, Johnny-all the kids@the school+the Gaston family!?

Stepping out to celebrate a milestone in her man's life, Mariah Carey helped Nick Cannon ring in his 30th birthday in New York City on Friday night (October 8).
The "We Belong Together" diva held onto a bodyguard's arm as she eased in and out of LAVO for her husband's bash while dressed in a bump-covering black ensemble.
Aside from celebrating with her man and widely thought to be planning for her first child, Mariah is also readying for the release of her holiday album.
Due in store on November 2, Mariahrecently wrote a message to her fans about "Merry Christmas II You," telling, "Merry Christmas II You is my Christmas gift to all my fans. I wanted you to be the first ones I share this tracklisting with. I?m so excited about it, I hope you love it and enjoy it for years to come!!! LYM4E!!!?

Below is video of Mariah Carey performing in Singapore over the weekend. In the middle of the song, Mariah seems to get caught up in her heels and she dramatically falls over. Only not really - it?s like Mariah knew that she was going to fall, so she did it in slow motion, gently rocking over onto her cushiony body. The best part of the video is her backup dancer/singer guy who pretty much sees the drama unfold before his eyes and immediately tries to lift up Mariah?s now dead weight as she just gives in to gravity. The dude totally assumes the position to carry her off, which? I mean, Mariah must demand that all the time. So he was prepared.
Mariah Carey — who has yet to publicly confirm that she is pregnant — stumbled and fell in the middle of a performance this weekend in Singapore, but laughed it off. Carey, 40, was wearing her trademark high heels when she lost her footing while singing her 1992 hit Make It Happen on Saturday. Her dancers quickly helped her up, and she jokingly told the crowd, “I did that on purpose!”
A female assistant removed Carey’s shoes as she continued to sing; she finished the 90-minute performance barefoot. Carey was in Singapore, along with Missy Elliott and Adam Lambert, to perform a series of concerts this weekend at the Padang in celebration of the Singapore Grand Prix. And interestingly, during another concert on Sunday, Carey drank from a champagne glass while on stage, although there’s no way to know if the glass contained champagne or a non-alcoholic drink.
The Grammy award winning singer later took to Twitter to thank her fans.
“TY SO much to my fans in Singapore!!! Yeah, several hectic moments, (lol!)but I tried to swirl them into festive!.Love+ God Bless! Again Singapore, thanks so much for allowing me to just be who I am &just have fun+connect w/everyone there! Thanks 4 the LOVE!x0x,” she Tweeted.

Mariah has pretty much confirmed that she?s pregnant, so I think this really could have been bad, you know? But instead the angels wept when Mariah lost her footing and everyone is okay. Note to Mariah: take off the heels and take a break! You?ve earned it, girl! No one is going to judge you for sitting at home and eating donuts while you?re knocked up. Well? Gisele would judge you, but you can just sit on her until she passes out.

The ?Touch My Body? babe wore some tummy-masking outfits as she performed at the city?s post-Formula 1 Grand Prix shindig, further contributing to the pregnancy rumors.
And during her song ?Make It Happen,? Mariah was tripped up by her high heels and ended up tumbling to the stage.

Sharing her beautiful vocals with the rest of the world, it was recently announced that Mariah Carey will be releasing another Christmas album.
The ?We Belong Together? singer will be releasing ?Merry Christmas II You? on November 2.
This will mark Carey?s second holiday album - she released ?Merry Christmas? back in 1994 which featured songs such as ?The First Noel,? ?O Little Town of Bethlehem,? and ?Little Drummer Boy.?
In addition, Mariah also re-recorded ?All I Want For Christmas Is You? - which peaked at number two on the UK singles chart in 1994 and sold a total of 670,000 copies to date.
