Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have been married for six years. It feels like so much longer, doesn?t it? God. Mariah and Nick celebrate their wedding anniversary every year with an over-the-top vow renewal and re-wedding, I guess we?re calling it. Except they didn?t do that this year. This year, they celebrated their sixth anniversary quietly, at home, allegedly. So, since May, there has been gossip that all is not well in The House of Butterflies. And now Page Six is giving them the Beyonce-Jay-Z treatment:
Mariah Carey and comedian Nick Cannon are headed for a split and ?living separately? after she hired security to keep him away from other women, sources exclusively told Page Six. Our sources tell us Carey and Cannon, the host of ?America?s Got Talent,? are separating after six years of marriage. ?He hasn?t been staying at their home,? one music insider tells Page Six. ?He?s been living out of hotels. They?re fighting a lot.?
Another source told us Carey has suspected Cannon of cheating. And when the comic hosted pool parties in Las Vegas earlier this year, the diva dispatched a security guard to keep watch over her husband.
?The security guard wasn?t there to keep the girls away from him,? said our source. ?It was to keep him away from the girls.?
Carey also didn?t want Cannon drinking while at the Vegas gigs because she felt he ?gets in trouble when he drinks,? the source added.
Cannon, 33, and Carey, 45, raised eyebrows when they married in 2008 because of the 12-year age gap. They became parents in 2010 to twins Moroccan Scott and Monroe, whom they affectionately call ?dem babies.?
Usually active on social media, the two have not been photographed together in months, and Carey ? who was married to Tommy Mottola from 1993 to 1998 ? hasn?t featured Cannon on her feed since June. Rumors swirled this week that the couple were set to officially announce their breakup, and that Cannon had been staying at his grandparents? house during a trial separation. In July, they put their $13 million Bel Air mansion up for sale.
Despite the breakup rumors, Cannon seemed to be all smiles ? and had his wedding ring on ? at Tao Downtown Monday night for the birthday party for Sujit Kundu, the founder of DJ management firm SKAM artist. Spies tells us Cannon was in ?pretty good spirits,? but didn?t stay long. In past years he?s usually stayed longer and hung with the DJs. A rep for Carey declined to comment on personal matters. Cannon?s rep didn?t get back to us.

I don?t have any problem believing this, but that?s always been the case. Ever since they got together, most people have been waiting for them to break up. They just don?t seem to GO together, short-term or long-term. But year after year, they?ve somehow made it work. I remember reading an interview with Nick a few years ago where he discussed what he wanted for his children, and it struck me that he was a man with hidden depths. Which is nice, but then what is he doing with The Elusive Chanteuse? And if he?s cheating on her? God help him. God help us all.

Given her level of fame and fortune, Mariah Carey never really gets a chance to rub shoulders with the public.
But that all changed on Thursday night (May 29) as the ?Hero? hottie hopped on the New York City Subway while wearing a blue Versace gown to get home from hosting the Fresh Air Fund gala in Manhattan.
Carey posted a smattering of photos from her excursion via Instagram along with captions like ?Laughts pon de subway? and ?Glimpses of our joyride on the 1 train #subwayincouture.?
Additionally, Mariah, who was joined by BET honcho Stephen Hill and friend/producer Jermaine Dupri, uploaded a series of Vine videos of the adventures.

On Thursday (February 13), the R&B gal stopped by the iconic spot, rocking a skintight white dress complete with a fur shawl.

Mariah Carey did an interview with NY Radio station Power 105?s Breakfast Club show. She was promoting her new single, “You’re Mine (Eternal).” The video is here, and it’s a mishmash of breathy vocals and flattering digitally altered shots of Mariah posing next to water and covered in body glitter. Basically it’s like every other Mariah video we’ve seen. Here’s a screenshot:
As for her Power 105 interview, you can watch the interview in full on YouTube if you’re interested. TMZ has a two minute highlights video in case you can only take so much Mariah. (Honestly I got through 20 minutes of the video and had to shut it off.)
They start off by discussing the lighting in the radio station. Mariah brought her own lighting team and a hair person. To a radio show. Then they move on to the fact that Mariah was late for the interview, and that she’s routinely late for everything, although she claims to be doing better lately. Mariah spends most of the interview smoothing her hair, talking about Mariah and acting like she’s the most important person ever, as usual. The hot DJ, Charlamagne, mildly calls her on her sh*t, which is amusing. He even asks her if she wears Spanx, but she dodges the question.
Mariah reveals that she really doesn’t know what her husband, Nick Cannon, is up to, and that she goes through nannies like water. Of course she does. She also says that she wouldn’t have done Idol for just 12 million dollars. She got more than that.
On doing Idol
That was a moment in my life that I want to press ‘delete.’ I was hoping to be more of a mentor for the contestants… they chose to go another direction which was ‘reality tv.’
On how much she made for Idol
I got more [than 12 million]. I wouldn’t have done it for 12 [million].
On what Nick is doing for her for Valentine’s Day
He’s not even going to be home from what I hear now. The schedule dahling.
On if Nick is a hands-on dad
Nick, he has fun with dem babies when they’re fun. And then when it’s like they’re interfering with other things, they go to the crib, and that’s fine.
On Nick saying they have lots of sex
I can’t comment on Nick’s commentary. He should slow down and stop talking. I hope Nick’s listening. I would prefer to have a certain degree of decorum vs. just saying things for laughs.
On if she’s divorcing Nick
Yes we’re going to divorce court after we leave dahling. Dominican Republic here we come.
On having twins
Can anyone congratulate me for having twins? Imagine carrying two twins.
On if she has nannies
Unfortunately I have to have nannies but I’m very hands on. I go through nannies like this [snaps fingers] and I hate to do that but I have to, because if they try to make themselves more important in the baby’s mind than me… [makes cutting motion over throat]. I just brought a girl back home with me from Puerto Rico and she’s here.

I know a lot of people love Mariah and find her amusing, but I can only take so much of her. She’s not playing up this diva act for laughs. This is how she really is. When her nearly three year-old twins start to bond with a nanny, Mariah fires that person so there’s no consistent caregiver in their lives except Mariah. It’s not about her kids at all, it’s all about Mariah. Nick is off doing his own thing, and Mariah makes it clear that she doesn’t agree with that because she doesn’t have control of what he says. I don’t think they’re going to divorce or split anytime soon. Nick has dealt with Mariah for years and she’s always been this way.
Oh and did you see Mariah Carey’s crazy BET Honors gown? (Those photos are here) She was falling out of it. She sort-of talked about it during the interview, saying that the idea was for her to be “luxuriating” in the dress, but she didn’t make much sense.
