Continuing her day of “Bride Wars” promotional duties, Kate Hudson stepped out on Monday evening (January 5) to tape an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman” in New York City.
Wearing a curve-hugging shiny green dress, the blonde beauty greeted fans before heading inside to tape tonight’s show as she boosts interest in her new comedy (which hits theaters this Friday - January 9).

Continuing on their relentless promotional press tour for their upcoming film “Bride Wars,” Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway were spotted leaving an office building earlier today (January 5).
The “Get Smart” brunette and her “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” blonde gal pal looked upbeat as they sauntered out into the NYC streets following their photo shoot together.

Braving a blustery Sunday afternoon, Kate Hudson was spotted on her way out of her New York City apartment along with a few friends yesterday (January 4).
The “Fool’s Gold” babe sported a pair of jeans, with a grey top, plaid coat, white hat, and fringed-out tan suede boots as she made her way to Barneys New York for some retail therapy.

Quick: name the last decent movie starring Kate Hudson. Other than “Almost Famous.” You can’t do it, can you? That’s because Kate Hudson has made one piece of crap film after another since her breakthrough performance. But somehow, she has landed on the cover of Elle magazine’s February 2009 issue, talking about how she wants to take on “darker” roles.

On the paparazzi:
“They’ve become an entity to themselves… But eventually they’ll implode. They’re creating a house of cards that will inevitably fall. These are not nice people. When you’re taking your child to school, and they’re trying to get on school property to get a picture, it literally makes you want to just smack them.”
On her acting range:
“I could be in an interview and people would keep going, ‘So why do you always do romantic comedies?’ Do I want to do darker roles? Of course. It has to be the right thing, though. I’m not just going to, like, make a movie that’s, Oh, she’s a whore, prostitute, and heroin addict.”
The article also talks to Jennifer Meyer, wife of Tobey Maguire and childhood classmate of Hudson. Jennifer remembers Kate getting sent home for wearing her skirts too short in high school.

Wow, she’s so edgy, talking smack about the paparazzi like that! I’ve never heard another star complain about paps before. Blah, blah, blah. Why didn’t the interviewer ask her how she feels about her ex-boyfriend, Lance Armstrong, knocking up another woman just a couple of months after their breakup? Or why Owen Wilson tried to off himself after she dumped him? Or why anyone should pay $9 to see another one of her horrible movies? Now THAT would be a fascinating read.
As for her refusal to play a prostitute or a drug addict, it sure seemed to work out okay for actresses like Julia Roberts and Charlize Theron. But who would want their careers when you can keep churning out the same bad movies year after year? Kate’s latest cinema masterpiece, released in that no-man’s land of January (when all the really bad movies come out), is called “Bride Wars” and co-stars Anne Hathaway and Candice Bergen, both of whom I adore. I’m going to tell myself that Anne was drugged into agreeing to be in this movie. It looks absolutely dreadful. By the way, two of the movies that Kate Hudson starred in last year, “Fool’s Gold” with Matthew McConaughey and “My Best Friend’s Girl” with Dane Cook, have been named to numerous “Worst Movies of 2008? critics’ lists. Way to go, Kate!

Stepping out in snowy Aspen, Colorado, Kate Hudson met up with her mother Goldie Hawn and a friend to do a bit of post-Christmas shopping on Sunday afternoon (December 28).
The mother/daughter duo looked to be in cheery moods, carrying their shopping bags as they roamed the streets from shop to shop while chatting and laughing amongst one another.

The book is called The Black Book of Hollywood Pregnancy Secrets, and it?s allegedly a tell-all. But from the excerpted stories, it just seems like a bunch of moms talking about their kids. Which is nice. So why all the drama? Oh, right, book sales. Authors Kym Douglas and Cindy Pearlman interviewed many Hollywood moms, including Angelina Jolie, Kate Hudson, Helena Bonham Carter, Katie Holmes and Tina Fey.

[Hudson] says, “I do find it tough to date,” but swiftly adds, “I’d rather be at home with my son cooking dinner than going out with a guy. My son is my man.”
Jolie adds of raising her international brood of six kids with partner Brad Pitt, “We were in India (for Halloween) and Brad and the kids and I had an off celebration in the hotel we were staying at. We had candy sent up, which we said was from the saints.”
Meanwhile, American actress/comedienne Tina Fey takes a down-to-earth approach to parenting: “I don’t care how many (magazine) covers you’re on. When you’re chasing a three-year-old around with a pull-up (diaper) hoping she won’t poop on the floor, you’re just like every other mom on the planet.”

I?m not really sure what Angie means by an ?off celebration? - maybe she was misquoted? Maybe it?s like ?off? the beaten path? Is there a Saint Off? Who knows. Tina Fey?s story is funny though. It reminds me of a story about my now dead dog, when he was alive and incontinent. Not to compare pets with children… *shock*… but I really wish I could have put a diaper on that dog. Anyhoo, doesn?t it seem like Kate Hudson?s kind of phoning it in? I mean, we see her out with *every* boyfriend, obviously she doesn?t love being alone with her son that much. There are other excerpts from the book, including some much juicier revelations from Helena Bonham Carter.
Helena Bonham Carter admits pregnancy made her defensive about her vices. The 42-year-old actress - who has two children with partner Tim Burton, son Billy, five and 13-month-old daughter Nell - found it impossible to give up coffee while pregnant, and developed a sharp retort for when she was criticized for succumbing to her caffeine cravings.
…If a man condemned her for drinking coffee, Helena would swiftly reply: “You try nine months of gestation and self-abnegation before you start censoring my diet. Your mother was probably on vodka, and do you have three heads?”
Helena limited her intake of the hot drink, but admits it was tough to give it up entirely. She said: “I didn’t drink caffeine as much as I would normally and try to restrict myself to one cup of coffee a day. One of my favourite dishes is carpaccio and I love sushi but I avoided them. Obviously anything with raw eggs was forbidden, too.”
The actress has previously revealed she was so desperate for a second child she took fertility drugs to boost her egg production, and also tried acupuncture and Chinese massage.
She said: “If I hadn’t got pregnant I think we probably would have tried IVF (in vitro fertilisation), yes. Obviously, you don’t know what you’d do unless you were actually in that situation. I think we might have gone for a round of IVF, but that would have been that.”

And after Helena told off Tim Burton with that ?three heads? line, Burton jotted down some notes, met with some producers and started pre-production on The Three-Headed Vodka Boy, starring Johnny Depp. *rimshot* Seriously, when I think about what pregnant women used to get away with, it really makes me wonder about my mother?s generation. Pregnant women used to smoke throughout the whole nine months! They used to drink like fishes! They used to play with toxic chemicals! Well, maybe not that one, but I?m sure a couple of pregnant women tried.

I applauded Kate Hudson for wearing a thong in public at a pool in Florida. Of course, Melina Pitra wore a thong to inspire women in Hollywood to do so. Now I am glad that Vida Guerra, a Latina that I admire a lot, has shown that it is perfectly normal for women to wear thong on the beach.

Kate Hudson has been criticized in the past for jumping into super serious relationships too quickly and scaring off guys. Kate seems to have realized this herself ? she says that her current goal is to wait as long as possible before she gets into another relationship. The way she phrases it is kind of cute, as though it?s something that might happen to her, or like she has no control over it. But the ultimate point is clear: she realizes you can learn a lot about yourself when you?re single.
Kate Hudson may be “a hot ticket” in the dating world, according to her good friend, designer Stella McCartney, but the actress says she’s in no rush to jump into a relationship.
“I’m actually enjoying being single right now because I really never have been,” Hudson ? who’s dated Lance Armstrong and Owen Wilson ? tells InStyle magazine for its January issue.
“I feel good in relationships,” says the 29-year-old actress. “I enjoy them, so I feel my best when I’m in something solid. But it’s also the first time I’ve ever taken a step back and gotten a new perspective.”
“So,” concludes Hudson, “I’ve made a conscious decision to try to stay single as long as possible.”
McCartney, who interviewed Hudson for the magazine, chimes in, joking, “What’s it been ? all of two weeks? Congratulations!”
“Exactly,” quips Hudson, who McCartney says has “always been in demand.”

Kate?s gorgeous with a bubbly, ebullient nature. I?m not at all surprised that she?s “always been in demand.” It sounds like she realizes she can learn a lot about herself and have a good time by staying single for a bit. And it?s probably less confusing for her son if he doesn?t have men bouncing in and out of his life. Nonetheless, Kate?s explanation for why she prefers being in a relationship makes perfect sense. Hopefully she can take some time for herself, and then get into a relationship that works even better for her.
