I remember Kate Hudson?s first pregnancy, when she was with Chris Robinson and she was pregnant with little Ryder Russell. Kate really gained a lot of weight with that pregnancy ? and it probably looked like more weight than it actually was because Kate was and is so petite. It was actually Jessica Simpson-esque, which is just a reminder to all of the Tracy Andersons of the world that every pregnancy is different, and that the body-shaming of women in general and pregnant women in particular should really end. So when Kate got pregnant with Matt Bellamy, I kept waiting to see if she would gain a lot of weight ? but she really didn?t. It seemed like she had a very healthy second pregnancy, and shortly after giving birth to Bingham Bellamy, Kate?s figure seemed to ?snap back?. As it turns out, though, Kate was working out like crazy (literally, CRAZY) to get her figure back:
Post-pregnancy weight loss challenge is an uphill battle for most women – and it isn’t made any easier when they are faced with the likes of super-svelte mothers Beyonce and Victoria Beckham, both of whom paraded around in tight mini-dresses just weeks after giving birth. Given the speed that such A-list mothers ping back into shape, we would be forgiven for thinking it’s easier for those blessed with fame and money. But one celebrity mother’s post-birth baby weight didn’t just drop off in time for her red carpet debut.
Kate Hudson has revealed she lost weight the traditional – and the hard – way: by working out for a staggering six hours a day. The 33-year-old actress famously struggled to lose the baby weight after her first pregnancy but this time she put in the hard work, and it has most certainly paid off.
In an interview with Star magazine the star divulged: ‘I devoted six hours a day to a vigorous workout regime. I would do 45 or 55 minutes of cardio then an hour of Pilates or yoga, three times a day.’
The Fools Gold star is famous for her toned and athletic figure and she maintains that keeping active – from biking and pilates to dancing and running – is what keeps her in shape.
When she grew to 13st 2lbs at the end of her pregnancy with her second son Benjamin, now one, she was determined to work hard to achieve the body that women worldwide envy.
Her top tip for shifting the unwanted pounds in calorie counting, but she isn’t averse to the odd treat.
‘I’m not a dieter. I’m in the wrong family to be a dieter. My mum is always making chicken and dumplings. And I love scones, with clotted cream and jam. I can’t not eat them!’ she said.

I hear different things from different people about how much or how little goes into a ?good? workout, depending on what your target goal is ? like, if you?re just working out to lose weight, you should approach your workouts differently than if your objective is strength and muscle tone, etc. I work out two hours a day, four times a week, three parts cardio to one part strength training. And honestly, some weeks it feels like too much. I can?t even imagine having the time, inclination or energy to work out six hours in a day. But? obviously, after working out like that, these are the results:

Fine, I?ll say it ? this is the best Kate Hudson has looked in YEARS. The hair is good, the makeup is good (kind of heavy, but still), her body looks amazing and her styling is interesting. Yes, Kate Hudson is winning me over in these new photos from the Venice Film Festival photo call and premiere of The Reluctant Fundamentalist. Kate wore a seemingly oversized Gucci suit in off-white for the photo call ? I?m not crazy about the jacket as a suit-jacket (although I could dig it as a regular jacket over jeans, kind of like a snazzy peacoat), nor do I like the length of the pants. But overall, she was kind of working the outfit. Then for the red carpet premiere of the film, Kate wore this peachy-beige Atelier Versace gown from the Fall 2012 collection. The look is straight off the runway ? and I have to say, Kate worked it better than the model on the runway. Kate also brought her man, her baby-daddy, Matt Bellamy. I hate his sunglasses.
Meanwhile, did you know that Kate Hudson is going to be all over your favorite high-school-musical show, Glee? She?s going to be in six episodes this fall, and according to Us Weekly, Kate does not care for Lea Michele?s diva ?tude.
Filming with Lea Michele hasn?t brought Kate Hudson any Glee. Midway though her six-episode arc as a dance teacher to Michele?s character on the Fox hit, Hudson has found her costar ?a total diva,? an insider tells Us Weekly.
?Kate says Lea is a nightmare. Once during a technical delay, Lea snapped her fingers and said, ?Let?s go, I have plans!?? Between takes, Hudson hangs out with the whole cast ? except Michele.
Counters Michele?s rep, ?Lea has had a great time working with Kate.?

At this point, stories about Lea Michele being a diva are a dime a dozen. Part of me thinks that people just expect her to be a diva and so when she does anything slightly self-absorbed, everyone is like, ?YES, I knew it! DIVA.? The other part of me thinks Lea is a narcissistic troll doll who would hiss and spit on her own mother for the chance to become one of Harvey Weinstein?s girls. Diva!

Promoting her latest film, Kate Hudson headed over to the Palazzo del Casino to attend "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" photocall during the 69th Venice International Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Wednesday (August 29).
Tucking her aviator sunglasses into her shirt, the "Bride Wars" beauty stepped onto the red carpet after rolling up the sleeves of her loose white suit jacket which she paired with matching pants and a light brown top.
Although no release data has been set, Kate joins Kiefer Sutherland and Live Schreiber in the thrilling tale of "The Reluctant Fundamentalist."
The movie is said to follow a young Pakistani man who is chasing corporate success on Wall Street but finds himself conflicted between his American Dream, a hostage crisis and the continuous call from his family's homeland.

Spending some quality time with her little ones, Kate Hudson and her sons were spotted enjoying a relaxing afternoon out in London, England on Wednesday (August 8).
The "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days" actress looked casual in skinny jeans and a white top as she toted around her youngest son, Bingham, on her chest while big brother Ryder helped his mom by carrying some shopping bags.
The trip across the pond comes just after Kate was seen in Miami, FL this past weekend where she spent some alone time with her fiance, Matt Bellamy.
The bubbly blonde looked stunning when she was photographed in a aqua bikini as she proved that even after having two children you can still have a rocking bod!

Spending the day with her boys, Kate Hudson headed over to Brentwood this afternoon to grab a bite to eat in Los Angeles, California on Thursday (August 2).
With her hair pulled back into a low bun, the "Something Borrowed" actress looked beautiful in a blue dress as she made her way to her car carrying her almost 1-year-old son Bingham while her 8-year-old son Ryder followed closely behind.
Kate has been wearing in her new dancing shoes in preparation for her guest role on "GLEE" where she will act as a mentor for Lea Michele's character on the series at the New York Academy for Dramatic Arts.
The 33-year-old actress will play Cassandra July, the "negative reinforcement" practicing dance teacher and mentor to the 25-year-old's character, Rachel Berry, who couldn't be more excited to work with the Hollywood star.

In realted news, it looks like Miss Hudson will take her talents to the small screen this fall. As previously reported by GossipCenter, the "Bride Wars" beauty is set to star in a recurring role on the hit FOX series "Glee."
Giving away details about the upcoming season, the stars of the musical series attended the 2012 Comic Con International convention where it was announced that Kate will play an upcoming "fun" role as Rachel's NYC mentor.

Treating herself to a shopping spree, Kate Hudson hit up the shops in Paris, France with her son Ryder today (July 5).
The ?How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days? actress looked cool and casual in a blue button-up top with jeans and tan boots as she held her son?s hand and led him through the Haute Couture Fashion Week madness.
In a recent interview, Kate talked about her longtime obsession with makeup, beginning with dressing up her brother.
She explained, ?My poor brother. He was kind enough to be my mannequin, and let me experiment on his face. I?d put blue eye shadow on him and we?d laugh.?
Kate added, ?I remember my mom?s makeup artist, this wonderful, old-time sort of legend in the movie industry, Tom Case, who had one little box he?d carry with him. He?d pull out just four items, and make the most incredible face with those four things. He said, ?You can go in there as much as you want, but you have to put everything back exactly where you found it.??

Bundled up from the brisk air, Kate Hudson was spotted taking a little stroll with her son, Bingham in a colorful stroller through the streets of London, UK on Friday, (April 4).
Looking a little chilled, the "Fools Gold" actress tucked her hair into a wooly cat sweater that came up past her chin which she paired with matching black sweatpants and brown fringe boots, and seemed to master multitasking by taking pictures with her iPhone as she walked by the shutterbugs.
Although Kate covered herself in loose-fitting clothing for her London outing, the mother of two has shed some major weight- like some 30 pounds - after giving birth to her son last July, but it's not because she slaved away in the gym for hours on end.
Just like her walk through London today, the 33-year-old actress has decided to find ways to exercise in her day-to-day tasks, ?She bikes everywhere!? a friend revealed to US Weekly adding, ?She loves being active".
Kate also reportedly changed up her at-home workout by dancing in her studio and going for 5-mile runs outside and strives to eat healthy and decided to eliminate all alcohol to speed up her slimming.

Bringing her charm back for a second effort for the clothing brand, Kate Hudson appears in a brand new batch of Summer 2012 campaign ads for Ann Taylor.
Striking poses in a range of vibrant pieces from the new collection, the 32-year-old actress was shot by famed photographer Tom Munro on location in Pasadena, California.
Of the modeling gig, Miss Hudson told in a statement, "I've loved collaborating with Ann Taylor. They evolve the collection so beautifully each season and summer is one of my favorites. The summer collection is so vibrant and fun, and it has so many modern, versatile pieces that take you from weekday to weekend."
"When I think of the new Ann Taylor, I think chic, modern versatile clothes and bold, brilliant color - style that transcends generations and can make every woman look and feel beautiful, no matter where the day may take her," she added.
As for which pieces from the Summer 2012 collection brought Kate the most excitement to wear, she revealed to Elle, "The pieces I really loved?there was a great cobalt blue blouse that was a really great color and then there were these lace dresses that were really nice. I?ve always been hesitant to wear bright colors but these were really nice colors?when I put these pieces on they were so fun."
