Tapping yet another one of Tinseltown's finest to rep their legendary brand, Kate Hudson has been named the face of Ann Taylor's Spring 2012 campaign.
Clad in a nude-colored frock and Pink belt, the "Almost Famous" actress looks quite comfortable in her new gig, which has her replacing Demi Moore, who fronted Ann Taylor's super-popular 2011 collections.
Excited about the new endeavor, Kate told press, ?As a young girl, I looked up to the sophisticated style of Ann Taylor, so it?s been very cool to see how the brand has evolved to meet the changing needs of modern women.?
Echoing Ms. Hudson's sediment, senior vice president of marketing, Kristen Dykstra, noted, ?Kate is a dynamic woman who truly embodies the new Ann Taylor. While she is most known as a beautiful and talented actress, she is also a devoted mother, daughter, sister and philanthropist who manages to do it all with a radiant smile, joie de vivre and effortless style."

Having just arrived in town for the family's traditional Colorado Christmas, Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy were busy running last-minute errands in Aspen on Saturday afternoon (December 24).
The "Fool's Gold" actress and her Muse rocker beau were all bundled up for the wintry outing, as the pair met up with Kate's family for lunch at Pyramid Bistro before a bout of shopping at James Perse boutique and the J. Crew store.
Kate and Matthew are in town to spend the holidays with Hudson's parents, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, with Goldie's son Oliver and his wife Erinn Bartlett also joining in on the Rocky Mountain festivities.
This happens to be the second year in which Bellamy has been along for the Aspen celebration, while he and his bride-to-be are also ringing in their very first Christmas with the newest addition to the family - baby Bingham!

Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy were coming home from the gym in London when all of a sudden the paparazzi appeared. “Quick! What do?,” Matt thought. Always quick on the feet, Matt put a plastic bag over his head. But his plan backfired because this is exactly what the paparazzi wanted. Luckily, Matt had enough foresight to cut a hole in it so he wouldn’t suffocate. Now thatwould have been embarrassing.

It?s no secret that celebrities are constantly hounded by the paparazzi, and Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy were fed up with shutterbugs today (December 1) in London, England.
The famous couple was spotted on a brisk stroll around the English capital, doing their best to avoid being photographed.
Bellamy opted for covering his head in a white plastic bag, while Kate relied on sunglasses and a hood.
Kate and Matt have been growing more and more irritated with paparazzi as of late while living overseas.

Bundling up for the falling temperatures, Kate Hudson was spotted out for a family walk in London, England earlier today (November 29).
The ?Fool?s Gold? actress was joined by her handsome beau Matthew Bellamy and their baby boy Bingham Hawn Bellamy as the trio all spent some active quality time together.
Last night (November 28), Kate wore a black one-shoulder Stella McCartney cut-out dress to the 2011 British Fashion Awards just four months after giving birth - and she looked fabulous.
Of her history with the designer, Hudson told press, "Stella dressed me for my first red carpet event in 2001 for the Academy Awards. It was my first and only nomination. I was 21 years old and to have Stella McCartney dressing me, well, I felt like the hippest, coolest girl in the world. Up until the last minute Stella was still sewing the hem. I woke up the next morning, turned on the television to find out I was on every Worst Dressed list. So I called Stella and we just laughed our a**es off and she said to me, 'Look babe, it was the hem wasn't it?'"

Stepping out for a swanky evening, Kate Hudson was spotted at this year?s British Fashion Awards in London, England on Monday (November 28).
The ?Something Borrowed? babe looked stunning in a one-shoulder floor-length black dress as she posed for pictures alongside gal pal nominee Stella McCartney at The Savoy Hotel.
As for the awards, the night?s winners included Victoria Beckham for the Best Designer Brand prize and Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen for the Designer of the Year prize.
With Miss McCartney being doted with the Red Carpet Award and Alexa Chung landing the British Style Award, the complete list of 2011 British Fashion Awards winners is as follows:

Even more photos from the LACMA event for Clint Eastwood! I told you there were a lot of Fashion Girls there. Previously, I?ve covered Reese Witherspoon, Kate Bosworth, Evan Rachel Wood and Camilla Belle. Hopefully, this will be my last post regarding this event with really bad lighting. First up: Kate Hudson in this gold-bronze cocktail dress. I really, really like the dress, and I think Kate looks great, honestly. She lost the baby weight very quickly, and her lover was on her arm for the event. My only qualm about the styling is the dress looks a little extra baggy in the bust. In some of the photos from the event, she?s tugging at it so she doesn?t expose a tit. The fit could be better, but other than that, beautiful.
Next up: Kate Beckinsale in the same white dress you always see her in. She?s always wearing white dresses, and this is a very familiar silhouette for Kate too. Meh. Her hair is horrible - and she has good hair naturally! She just did something funky with it here.
Emily Blunt, in what I?m guessing is Gucci. The dress is sexy, and her body is great. I HATE the hair, though. And the makeup. She looks very drag queen-y here.
And finally, Amy Adams in Gucci. I don?t get why she wears these blush colors, they do nothing for her. She?s a pale redhead - her needs brighter colors.

All things considered, I really shouldn’t like Kate Hudson that much. Her Hollywood acting career has consisted of one decent performance that could probably be attributed more to Cameron Crowe’s directing skills than any true talent on her part; and she’s coasted upon the goodwill from Almost Famous to make many millions of dollars from a deluge of insipid romantic comedies. Of course, she probably also got her start in acting thanks to her famous mother and father figure too, so there’s a great deal of nepotism at work. On some level though, I admire that Kate just doesn’t give a crap what people think. She makes the movies that pay her the most, dates a continual stream of eligible bachelors (some grubbier than others), and gives us all the metaphorical finger in the process. I can sort of respect that Kate lives her life the way she wants to even though her alleged potential seems so wasted.
However, Kate has not managed to charm everyone with her ways, and The Enquirer reports that the bandmates of her latest man (and baby dady), Matt Bellamy, absolutely detest Kate’s very existence as a rock groupie of sorts:
Kate Hudson may have won the heart of Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, but she’s not scoring any points with his band mates!
The “Almost Famous” actress has been accused of stifling her fiance’s creativity, getting too involved in band affairs, and being an annoying distraction. In fact, sources say the other Muse members are now calling her “Yoko Ono,” referring to the late John Lennon’s wife, whose meddling was blamed for The Beatles’ breakup.
“Kate was a constant presence at Muse’s songwriting sessions until she recently left to film her new movie. She thinks she’s a musical expert and nitpicks over Matt’s lyrics and pushes her unsolicited opinion on songs,” a source revealed. “Her interference was highly frustrating to the other band members.”
The 32-year-old Oscar-nominated actress began dating Matt in May 2010 and gave birth to their son, Bingham (”Bing”), this past July. Kate also has a 7-year-old son, Ryder, with her ex-husband, Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson.
“Now that Matt and Kate have a baby together, Matt has been more prone to skipping recording sessions or cutting out early because he claims Kate needs him to help out at home or pick up something from the store,” continued the source.
“He’s turned from an edgy rocker into a house husband.”
Matt and the rest of the Muse musicians are currently working on their sixth album, a follow-up to their Grammy-winning release, The Resistance.
Although no one in the band has been willing to tell Kate to back off, they finally pulled Matt aside to talk to him about their concerns.
“They told him Kate is dampening his creativity and draining his energy,” noted the source. “They suggeted it might be better to limit her influence about their music.”
Hopefully, Matt will get the message.

I can sort of buy that Kate would think she’s a “musical expert” after previously being married to a rock musician for several years, but she’s a bloody actress, and not a very good one at that. If she’s truly breathing down the band’s collective neck at rehearsals, maybe she should stay home and let them do their business. Then again, if Bellamy is writing lyrics that are about her that could be interpreted as unflattering, well, maybe she has a right to say something, but that’s the extent of it. And I doubt that Bellamy would say anything bad about his woman because he knows, just as well as everyone else, that he’s dating a serial monogamist. Bellamy is very easily replaceable in Kate’s life, so writing lyrics that compared her hair to freshly harvested corn husks would be a very stupid thing to do.
On the other hand, the “Yoko” comparisons are out of line and are likely spawned from frustration, but that doesn’t make them any better. While I’m sure that the Muse guys would prefer Bellamy to stick around and be funky with them for hours instead of heading home to help with the baby, calling a woman “Yoko” won’t work progress in any shape or form. It will only make Bellamy angry in the long run. I recall Trent Reznor’s fangirls referring to his wife, Mariqueen Maandig, as the Yoko of NIN, which was pretty unjustified as well, since Reznor had announced his intention to shelve NIN long before Mariqueen came into the picture. As for the implication that, somehow, Matt Bellamy is equal to John Lennon — whatever. Muse might be popular with the kiddies, but they’re certainly not the modern-day incarnation of The Beatles.
By the way, this guy isn’t exactly upset at being photographed by the paparazzi, right? He actually seems positively chuffed by the prospect.

Taking the sunny stroll around Notting Hill, the "Something Borrowed" momma held her adorable four-month-old at her chest as her rocker beau followed closely behind.

If this isn?t one of the most awful wigs I?ve ever seen. Surely this isn?t Kate Hudson?s real hair, right? Because this junk is busted. I think Kate has done shades of brunette before, although I honestly can?t recall any big Kate-as-a-brunette style moment. She?s spent almost all of her career as a blonde. And now we see why, and it?s not just the stiff-looking, budget wiglet. Kate looks so much better as a blonde. Maybe it?s just this shade of brown? It?s too dark.
Anyway, these are photos of Kate filming The Reluctant Fundamentalist yesterday in NYC. Kate just gave birth to little Bingham Bellamy in July, and it looks like her figure bounced back pretty quickly too. She had a much easier time with this pregnancy than with her first one. Anyway, this film is directed by Mira Nair and it?s about? a Pakistani man who lives in America and begins to feel hatred and disgust for America. You can read a summary of the book here. Some say Kate is playing the narrator?s girlfriend/fiance. Serious stuff for Kate? and the busted wig isn?t inspiring confidence that she?s bringing weight to the subject matter.
