With her boys Ryder and Bingham playing in the wings, Kate Hudson participated in a photoshoot in Beverly Hills on Friday (May 17).
The "Almost Famous" star wore a throwback-looking burgundy dress that was belted at the waist as she shielded her hair from the fan with a newspaper.
Earlier in the week, the 34-year-old actress's 9-year-old son hung out with grandma Goldie Hawn at the Cross Creek center in Malibu.
Though he has since shorn his locks for a summer buzz cut, the spunky little boy sported some snazzy Pink and blue dyed hair for the occasion.

Headed out for a mommy-son day in the Big Apple, Kate Hudson and her adorable son Bingham were spotted exiting their hotel in New York City on Thursday (April 25).
Looking like the furthest thing from a soccer mom, the blonde beauty rocked skinny jeans, zippered orange heels and black Ray Ban sunglasses as she toted her little man on her hip.
Keeping a packed schedule, Hudson's trip to the east coast has been anything but a vacation. The "Bride Wars" actress has made her rounds to several hit network shows including the "Late Show with David Letterman" and "Good Morning America."
Aside from television appearances, Kate has also made red carpet appearances at "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" pre-party, the 2013 Hot Pink Party and the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball.

Looking sexy for a chat with Dave, Kate Hudson dropped by the "Late Show with David Letterman" on Wednesday (April 24).
The "Bride Wars" star donned a hot Pink top with a knee-length black leather skirt and white high heels as she paused for photographs before heading inside.
Though she is happily coupled with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, the 34-year-old actress recently spoke about why they have yet to tie the knot.
As a working mother of boys Ryder and Bingham, Kate said of the possibility, "I look forward to it. We'll both figure it out. We've been both very busy, but it will happen. We will get married. I do think it's important, but we have no plans. [Ryder] wants a party. For me it?s not the legal part that is important, it?s what it means to the family.?

These are photos of Kate Hudson with her fiance, Matt Bellamy, and with her co-star, Riz Ahmed, at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of The Reluctant Fundamentalist. The film also features Kiefer Sutherland and Liev Schreiber. It’s about a Pakistani guy (Ahmed) who becomes a high-powered broker on Wall Street and goes through an identity crisis in the wake of 9-11. Hudson stars as his American girlfriend. I would say that the timing of this movie’s release is unfortunate, like the way that Gone Baby Gone suffered from the Madeleine McCann tragedy or how that Halle Berry movie, Things We Lost in the Fire, tanked due to the 2007 California wildfires. It’s hard to tell how this will do at the box office, and it’s only out in limited release starting this week. The trailer makes it look interesting and smart, and some aspects of the story remind me of “Homeland.” (I love that show!) Still, it’s hard to think about terrorism right now, it’s just way too raw for a lot of people.
Let’s focus on the fun superficial aspects of entertainment, like Kate Hudson’s gorgeous hair and white and silver sweater dress. She’s in Jenny Packham, one of Duchess Kate’s preferred designers. I’m personally not fond of straight up-and-down dresses, I know better than to try them on as they never flatter me, but in no way do I have a figure like Kate. (Either one of them.) So Kate H kind of works this dress, but it’s still not a standout. It’s kind of a snooze apart from the silver detailing. I love her hair! Does she have extensions, do you think? I think so, but I would bet they’re just subtle enough to make us question whether she has them.
Kate gave great bitchface last night. There are photos of her looking pissed off and giving the sideeye followed by photos of her flashing a sunny smile. I think her mom is just like that too – Goldie knows how to switch on the charm and Kate learned it from her. No judgment, I love Goldie!
Kiefer looking red. I wish Liev was there. I would take him with or without Naomi.
Oh and after I wrote this story it occurred to me to google Kate H to see if she’s said anything notable recently. She did! She told Extra! that she’ll get married to her fiance, Matthew Bellamy, eventually (I think she doesn’t care, which is the right attitude to have) and that her 21 month-old son is doing great and is adorable basically:
“I look forward to it,” the Reluctant Fundamentalist actress tells Extra of tying the knot. “We’ll both figure it out. We’ve been both very busy, but it will happen.”
Hudson… says she’s been too busy taking care of sons Ryder and Bingham to plan a ceremony. “He is a gem. He is talking up a storm,” the actress, 34, says of Bingham, 21 months. “I’ll ask, ‘What do you want for breakfast, honey?’ He says, ‘Bolognese.’”
At the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball in New York City Apr. 18, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell’s actress daughter told Us Weekly her youngest son is taking after his musician father, 34. “Bing right now is just completely obsessed with drumming. He’s just a drummer,” Hudson shared. “It’s pretty wild to watch. It’s all he wants to do.”

That’s cute! Kate’s been married already and that didn’t really work out for her. She’s been engaged for two years, so I bet she doesn’t plan on getting married anytime soon. If she did, she would have at least made plans by now. I think she should take a lesson from her Mom and Kurt Russell and just keep things as they are. There’s no reason to make it official – unless Matt needs a green card or something.

Enjoying some family time on her 34th birthday, Kate Hudson walked around Tribeca with her two children in New York City on Friday (April 19).
The "Almost Famous" star wore a gray striped sweater, blue jeans, and tan boots as she carried baby Bingham in a sling while Ryder kept close.
On Thursday, the Oscar-nominated actress attended the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball, where she spoke to Us Weekly about her birthday plans.
Hoping to keep things low key, she shared, "I think I might have a dinner at some point this week. I just want to hang with my family."

Some days I feel like the last Kate Hudson fan alive. Most of you are either ambivalent towards her or you dislike her outright. For me, Kate is harmless at worse and at best, she?s fun and optimistic and she?s not asking for our pity or our concern (a trait I like and admire). So Kate covers the May issue of Elle UK, and as a Hudson fan, I feel I can say this? this photoshoot SUCKS. They made her look so boring and oatmeal-y. The styling is crap, the lighting seems dull and the clothes are unmemorable. Blah. Thankfully, the interview is a little bit more exciting. Some highlights:
Meeting Matt Bellamy, falling in love & getting pregnant within 2 months: ?It was all very old-fashioned and proper, and we went on lovely dates. And two months later I was pregnant ? Well, yes [I was shocked], but I also thought, ?This is going to be interesting.??
Bellamy was up for all of it: ?I knew it would take a strong man to deal with it. You know that with a relationship things can go either way when you have a child. When you get pregnant everything changes: you, your body. Everything becomes a big decision. But he was there and that was that.?
Three years later, they?re still engaged: ?We will get married. I do think it?s important, but we have no plans?[Ryder] wants a party. For me it?s not the legal part that is important, it?s what it means to the family.?
Admiring her mother Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell?s 30 year relationship: ?When I was a kid, my brothers and sisters and I wanted my parents to get married. We ended up with something far more powerful. We were all together at home, Dad gave Mum a ring and said some beautiful words. It was their own version of the ceremony and I remember it so well. It was like it was about us. The family was the glue.?
Putting motherhood first: ?I?m a lot less a rock chick and a lot more about being a good mother, a good partner. I?m part of a family. That?s how we were brought up, how I bring my kids up. They are very blessed to live how they do, but they are aware of that.?
She?s sort of a hippie on a farm: ?We have a vegetable plot, a herb garden, the boys pull out carrots and collect eggs from the hens, that?s the sort of day that makes me really happy.?
She doesn?t diet: “I am now [after Ryder's birth] a human calorie app? [After Bingham] the weight went pretty easily. Good food looks after you. I’ve learnt about nutrition and how it works, and I eat incredibly well now?I don’t believe in diets, I think the whole concept should be banned. I think we just have to learn how to eat properly.”

See? I think she?s cool. She?s not ?this is the way I live, this is the only right way to do things? and she?s not all about consumerism just for the sake of having the best and most exclusive things (Beyonce, Goop). She seems to genuinely put value on her relationship with her family and being a mom. And before the judgy mom brigade comes in to nit-pick Kate as a mom? haven?t you been surprised by how low-key she?s been after giving birth to Bingham? The second baby really calmed her and nowadays, we rarely see candid photos of her or her kids. I think she really is just living a quieter life with her sons and Matthew. Whatever, y?all. I?m a fan and I don?t mind saying it.

Kate Hudson covers the Apirl issue ofGlamour magazine posing topless on the cover. She’s basically braless in every picture. Anyway, besides her cup size, we also learn that Kate is trusting to a fault.
“The reason I trust so much is that I don’t feel like I have anything to hide,” she explains. “If somebody betrays that trust, it could never be so bad, because I don’t keep any secrets.
“I’ve had friends who’ve lied to me, I’ve had friends who’ve done things behind my back, I’ve had people steal from me?and it doesn’t stop me from trusting,” she adds. “The only thing that gets me angry is with [people who invade the privacy of] the kids. It’s the only place where I sort of go, ‘Is this worth it?’”
You can leak her nude pics to the web or tell everyone she likes to be choked and forced to eat dog food during sex, but don’t you dare take pictures of her kids at school. We cool?

Reminding everyone that MUSE frontman Matt Bellamy is a fortunate chap, Kate Hudson is topless on the cover of the April 2013 issue of Glamour magazine.
The ?How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days? hottie shows off her flawless figure and charming smile in a sexy-yet-sweet spread, and discusses the benefits of being an authentic person in such a shady industry.
Kate explains, ?The reason I trust so much is that I don?t feel like I have anything to hide. If somebody betrays that trust, it could never be so bad, because I don?t keep any secrets. I?ve had friends who?ve lied to me, I?ve had friends who?ve done things behind my back, I?ve had people steal from me?and it doesn?t stop me from trusting.
And it sounds like Hudson has her hands full with her two boys Bingham and Ryder. ?[Bing's] sprinting! And he?s got a natural mullet, which I?m cutting soon. It?s growing only in the back, so we in the family say he takes after my Gogie?you know, Kurt [Russell]? because Kurt was a mullet guy in the eighties. Bing?s been singing too. He loves music. And Ryder is the coolest cat?an amazing big brother, so patient and tolerant. Bing pulls his hair, and Ryder just laughs. He?s such a good person. I couldn?t be a prouder mommy.?
As for staying sane between work and family, Kate shares, ?I have always been fiery; I go after things. But what I learned from my mother [Goldie Hawn] is to step back and actually experience things that are happening. So for me, it?s about meditating. My Everest is to have that become a real part of my life.?

Arriving back on the West Coast, Kate Hudson and her sons landed at LAX Airport on Wednesday (February 27).
Keeping her oldest, Ryder Robinson, close by her side, the ?Almost Famous? star toted little Bingham Bellamy on her hip as the trio reached the terminal.
Together with Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy since 2010, the 33-year-old actress has been living a bi-continental lifestyle as of late.
Speaking to US Weekly about the adjustments, the mother-of-two said, "It's so much to juggle, so I've been doing films that are a little less time consuming. I'm more specific about what they are and I don't want to do work that will take me away from my kids, so I have to really love it."
