All things considered, I really shouldn’t like Kate Hudson that much. Her Hollywood acting career has consisted of one decent performance that could probably be attributed more to Cameron Crowe’s directing skills than any true talent on her part; and she’s coasted upon the goodwill from Almost Famous to make many millions of dollars from a deluge of insipid romantic comedies. Of course, she probably also got her start in acting thanks to her famous mother and father figure too, so there’s a great deal of nepotism at work. On some level though, I admire that Kate just doesn’t give a crap what people think. She makes the movies that pay her the most, dates a continual stream of eligible bachelors (some grubbier than others), and gives us all the metaphorical finger in the process. I can sort of respect that Kate lives her life the way she wants to even though her alleged potential seems so wasted.
However, Kate has not managed to charm everyone with her ways, and The Enquirer reports that the bandmates of her latest man (and baby dady), Matt Bellamy, absolutely detest Kate’s very existence as a rock groupie of sorts:
Kate Hudson may have won the heart of Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, but she’s not scoring any points with his band mates!
The “Almost Famous” actress has been accused of stifling her fiance’s creativity, getting too involved in band affairs, and being an annoying distraction. In fact, sources say the other Muse members are now calling her “Yoko Ono,” referring to the late John Lennon’s wife, whose meddling was blamed for The Beatles’ breakup.
“Kate was a constant presence at Muse’s songwriting sessions until she recently left to film her new movie. She thinks she’s a musical expert and nitpicks over Matt’s lyrics and pushes her unsolicited opinion on songs,” a source revealed. “Her interference was highly frustrating to the other band members.”
The 32-year-old Oscar-nominated actress began dating Matt in May 2010 and gave birth to their son, Bingham (”Bing”), this past July. Kate also has a 7-year-old son, Ryder, with her ex-husband, Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson.
“Now that Matt and Kate have a baby together, Matt has been more prone to skipping recording sessions or cutting out early because he claims Kate needs him to help out at home or pick up something from the store,” continued the source.
“He’s turned from an edgy rocker into a house husband.”
Matt and the rest of the Muse musicians are currently working on their sixth album, a follow-up to their Grammy-winning release, The Resistance.
Although no one in the band has been willing to tell Kate to back off, they finally pulled Matt aside to talk to him about their concerns.
“They told him Kate is dampening his creativity and draining his energy,” noted the source. “They suggeted it might be better to limit her influence about their music.”
Hopefully, Matt will get the message.

I can sort of buy that Kate would think she’s a “musical expert” after previously being married to a rock musician for several years, but she’s a bloody actress, and not a very good one at that. If she’s truly breathing down the band’s collective neck at rehearsals, maybe she should stay home and let them do their business. Then again, if Bellamy is writing lyrics that are about her that could be interpreted as unflattering, well, maybe she has a right to say something, but that’s the extent of it. And I doubt that Bellamy would say anything bad about his woman because he knows, just as well as everyone else, that he’s dating a serial monogamist. Bellamy is very easily replaceable in Kate’s life, so writing lyrics that compared her hair to freshly harvested corn husks would be a very stupid thing to do.
On the other hand, the “Yoko” comparisons are out of line and are likely spawned from frustration, but that doesn’t make them any better. While I’m sure that the Muse guys would prefer Bellamy to stick around and be funky with them for hours instead of heading home to help with the baby, calling a woman “Yoko” won’t work progress in any shape or form. It will only make Bellamy angry in the long run. I recall Trent Reznor’s fangirls referring to his wife, Mariqueen Maandig, as the Yoko of NIN, which was pretty unjustified as well, since Reznor had announced his intention to shelve NIN long before Mariqueen came into the picture. As for the implication that, somehow, Matt Bellamy is equal to John Lennon — whatever. Muse might be popular with the kiddies, but they’re certainly not the modern-day incarnation of The Beatles.
By the way, this guy isn’t exactly upset at being photographed by the paparazzi, right? He actually seems positively chuffed by the prospect.

Enjoying the perfect fall weather, Kate Hudson, Matthew Bellamy and baby Bingham were spotted out and about in London on Saturday afternoon (October 22).
Taking the sunny stroll around Notting Hill, the "Something Borrowed" momma held her adorable four-month-old at her chest as her rocker beau followed closely behind.

If this isn?t one of the most awful wigs I?ve ever seen. Surely this isn?t Kate Hudson?s real hair, right? Because this junk is busted. I think Kate has done shades of brunette before, although I honestly can?t recall any big Kate-as-a-brunette style moment. She?s spent almost all of her career as a blonde. And now we see why, and it?s not just the stiff-looking, budget wiglet. Kate looks so much better as a blonde. Maybe it?s just this shade of brown? It?s too dark.
Anyway, these are photos of Kate filming The Reluctant Fundamentalist yesterday in NYC. Kate just gave birth to little Bingham Bellamy in July, and it looks like her figure bounced back pretty quickly too. She had a much easier time with this pregnancy than with her first one. Anyway, this film is directed by Mira Nair and it?s about? a Pakistani man who lives in America and begins to feel hatred and disgust for America. You can read a summary of the book here. Some say Kate is playing the narrator?s girlfriend/fiance. Serious stuff for Kate? and the busted wig isn?t inspiring confidence that she?s bringing weight to the subject matter.

Keeping herself in top shape, Kate Hudson was spotted working out at her local gym in London, England today (September 14).
The ?Fool?s Gold? girl was joined by her beau Matthew Bellamy as she made her exit and biked back to her nearby home.
And it looks like Kate?s fitness regimen paid off- she looked smashing at the Stella McCartney 40th Birthday Party in London last night.
She told press, ?I didn?t gain a lot of weight this time around,? referring to her pregnancy term carrying two-month old Bingham.

It?s hard to believe it?s already been seven weeks since she gave birth to her son Bingham, and earlier today (August 31) Kate Hudson was spotted on a romantic holiday in the South of France.
The ?Fool?s Gold? girl looked absolutely fabulous in a skimpy white bikini as she sunned herself and bathed in the pool.
Kate was joined by her doting fiance Matthew Bellamy and her son Ryder, from her marriage to Chris Robinson.
However, little Bingham Hawn Bellamy was nowhere to be found- perhaps it was naptime!

Matt Bellamy twit-pic?d the above photo yesterday - it?s the first public photo of baby Bing Bellamy! Huzzah! I really love this photo of Bing and mom Kate Hudson. So pretty, and it doesn?t look posed and everything. Matt tweeted it with the comment ?Family life? but then he went off on the paparazzi trying to get photos of the baby, writing, ?Wow, these paps are annoying. Thought we’d tweet pic in hope of paps backing off, didn’t work! There should be laws protecting minors… Daily mail - expect to hear from lawyers soon ;)?. So I guess Matt and Kate decided to release the first photo, Beckham-style, on their Twitter account in the hopes that the paparazzi would just settle down and stop trying to get the first photo of baby Bing.
In case you still have questions about why Kate and Matt named their kid Bing - Matt explained that Bingham is his mother?s maiden name, and Kurt Russell?s father?s name was Bing. The kid?s full name is Bingham Hawn Bellamy, which I still find absolutely adorable.

Kate Hudson stepped out with son Ryder earlier this week without (gasp!) putting on any makeup, and the paparazzi went wild in response. Seriously and as a rule, I generally don’t like Kate’s movies, but I do love that she occasionally goes outside without bothering to put on makeup. It makes me feel prettier, somehow. Anyway, Kate also recently (while she was still pregnant with Matt Bellamy’s child) took part in a very airbrushed photoshoot and interview with Elle magazine. In the interview, Kate promotes the launch of her new jewelry line, CH+KH, with her good friend Laurie Lynn Stark of Chrome Hearts. The line (which you can see more of here) is very bohemian, 1970s vintage-inspired and quite aquamarine heavy. In the meantime, Hudson also doles out a few tidbits that are of interest for us gossip-leaning types:
On Whether She’ll Marry Matt Bellamy: One thing at a time. We’ll say hello to our new one and enjoy that for a while.
On Maintaining A Long-Distance Relationship: “Most relationships I’ve had in my life have been with people who travel quite a bit for work,” Hudson says. “I don?t know if I’m attracted to that specifically. but it is nice to be with somebody who understands having to be on the move.” Although she’s excited to get back to work (among the upcoming projects she?s involved in is a Linda Lovelace biopic), she concedes that logistics are “definitely getting harder. You have to think about things like, ‘Where is it? How long is it going to keep me away from my family”‘ ” She laughs. “But, you know, life moves on. I would never want to be someone who complains and goes, ‘Oh my God, my life is so crazy,’ ” she says. “If you make the best of it, it can be amazing.”
On Turning To Her Mom For Advice: “We’ve definitely had lots of talks about parenting and being a working mom,” she says. “She never hands out unsolicited preachy words of wisdom, though. My parents allowed my brother and I to have our freedom and be ourselves and feel confident in our choices and to make mistakes without too much judgment. I hope that I can do as good a job.”

From what little Hudson says about her relationship with Bellamy, I’m inclined to believe that she’s in no huge hurry to marry him, and she may very well never marry again. After all, her first marriage to Chris Robinson didn’t work out, and her mother and Kurt Russell have been going strong for decades without formally tying the knot, so she might decide to just be like mom in that regard.
At any rate, Kate’s words about parenting and kids being allowed to make mistakes seems like a bit of a cop out; but then again, she’s merely working with (or against) the questions posed by the journalist in question. Regardless of whether or not parents allow kids to make mistakes, kids will do just that regardless. After all, I was raised by very strict parents and still found a few moments to sneak cigarettes and vodka here and there. In short, there is no golden ticket to parenthood, and we’re all flying by the seat of our pants. In raising my own daughter, I feel like there are very definable qualities to “bad” parenting but very loose qualities to “good” parenting, and I hope that I’ll get lucky and fall into the latter category, but only time will tell.

Enjoying some family time at the beach, Kate Hudson was spotted in Malibu, California with fiance Matthew Bellamy and son Ryder Robinson yesterday (July 24).
The 32-year-old actress and new parent to two-week-old Bingham looked effortlessly gorgeous as she took to the sunny shore in a striped cardigan and sheer skirt.
All smiles as she got some quality one-on-one time with Ryder, the mother-son duo could be seen playing with a stuffed Smurf doll in the sand.
While Hudson entertained her play-date, first-time papa Matthew was able to catch a few minutes of well-deserved shuteye.
