Just after this year?s Met Gala, Gwyneth Paltrow trotted over to a USA Today journalist and snotted out this nasal complaint: ?I?m never going again. It was so un-fun. It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all.? The Goop had spoken, and the Goopy subtext was that Gwyneth is simply too elite, too fancy, too special, too high-brow, too exquisite to mingle with the peasantry of the Met Gala. But what if we were ignoring a particular part of her complaint? ?It was boiling,? Goop wept. I will believe that. It must be a special kind of hell to be wearing thousands of dollars of couture and a full face of makeup and have to sit in some overcrowded, drama-filled, humid tent/building. So Gwyneth was probably overheated and she was sweating like a peasant. So maybe that?s why people are now saying her body odor was the REAL uninvited guest:
Gwyneth Paltrow may be the ?World?s Most Beautiful Woman? but she sure doesn?t small like it! Gwyneth had terrible body odor at the Met Gala on May 6th, an eyewitness told The Enquirer ? but no one at the swanky red carper event had the guts to tell her.
?Poor Gwyneth looked picture-perfect, but it must have been the hot lights that caused her to be a little strong on the nose,? said a source who got a little too close to Gwyneth. ?It was pretty pungent, and I don?t think she had a clue. I saw at least two people wave their hands in front of their noses after passing her.?
A close friend of Gwyneth insists she isn?t usually a stinker, but admits that sometimes Gwyneth ? like other celebs ? does have problems with excessive sweating when she?s under the glare of strong lighting.
And making matters worse, health-conscious Gwyneth refuses to use deodorant with aluminum, opting for more natural ? and often less effective ? solutions.
?Gwyneth has heard that aluminum is supposedly carcinogenic, and that putting an aluminum-based deodorant directly on those sensitive armpit glangs can increase the chances of breast cancer.?
But the less toxic alternatives ? like crystal rock deodorant ? tend not to work as well.
?Is she?s trying out new deodorants, she?s bound to fail with some of them? but Gwyneth tells pals she?d rather be smelly than dead.?

Goop’s armpits have more drama than Kanye! Wasn?t there a similar complaint about? Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio or something? Yeah. What is it about celebrities and their anti-deodorant thing? Yes, aluminum-based deodorants aren?t the best thing in the world, but YOU ARE NOT EATING THEM. And if the choice is between rubbing something sort-of not-great under your arms and being noticeably stinky at a major event, what would you choose? Seriously?
Anyway, I love the idea that Gwyneth refuses to go to the Met Gala ever again because she had body odor like a peasant. The horror!

Here are some new photos of Gwyneth Paltrow headed into a party at Mark?s Club in London last night. Do you like her dress? I don?t. There?s too much fug detail all at once, all in one dress. Sheer sleeves AND patterned fabric AND black piping AND a weird gold and leather faux-belt AND a waist ruche AND a skirt slit? It?s too much bad design concentrated in one outfit. Plus, Gwyneth?s styling sucks.
In other Goop news, we?ve discussed this before, but there are new details: Goop?s BFF Tracy Anderson is starting a new food-delivery service for the rich and famous. It?s called ?The Food Program by Tracy Anderson? and it sounds just like The Zone Diet which was popular in the late 1990s in Hollywood ? The Zone people would deliver specialized diet food to your house for an exorbitant cost. Tracy?s ?Food Program? costs $54.95 per day for 14 days ($840 for two weeks worth of diet food), and Tracy credited Gwyneth for coming up with the recipes, saying that Gwyneth was ?instrumental in helping create the program? She?s in the kitchen to make things taste insanely amazing and I?m in the kitchen getting weight off of people.? I would be willing to bet that Gwyneth invested heavily in The Food Program too, considering Gwyneth gave the seed money (and then some) for Tracy?s latest gyms and all of Tracy?s programs and such.
Hilariously (to me), when Tracy was promoting The Food Program, she ended up slamming one of Gwyneth?s favorite things in the world: juice fasts/cleanses!
Tracy Anderson hates juice cleanses as they encourage unsustainable “extreme dieting”. The Hollywood fitness guru is responsible for toning and honing some of the finest figures in the entertainment industry. Tracy is known for being business partners and close friends with actress Gwyneth Paltrow, but has controversially disagreed with the Goop founder’s views on juice diets.
Gwyneth has previously advocated the use of the juice cleanses to help shift weight fast, but health and fitness expert Tracy says they are to be avoided at all cost.
“I 100 per cent hate them. I think it’s a really unfortunate trend, and it’s not a sustainable weight-loss program. Plus, once you puree anything, you lose nutritional value by the second. You’re drinking calories: If you’re going to drink that many calories, you might as well eat anyway. It’s extreme dieting,” Tracy ranted to Allure magazine. “Skinny is not the end all for beauty – a lot more goes into being beautiful than [whether you] have extra weight on you.”
Tracy’s clients have included Jennifer Lopez, Courteney Cox and her biggest fan Gwyneth. The trainer explained her latest project, which is an expansion of her fitness empire, including food as well as exercise programmes.
Tracy chatted about her US food-delivery program, which launched earlier this month.
“Nutrition is something I’ve been in for 15 years. When I started the [Tracy Anderson] Method, part of transforming these women was making sure they lose weight as their muscular structure changes. It takes time to get good at fitness, and nutrition is a huge component to wellness. I don’t like people to live on diets,” she explained.
“There’s so much confusion out there – from protein bars to shakes to diets to counting calories. I became frustrated with what’s being sold as diets to help people lose weight. They’re not sustainable and they’re pumped with chemicals – if you leave it to people to calorie-restrict, they’ll be like, ‘Oh, I’ll have my soy latte because it’s this many calories, and then I’ll have this little Weight Watchers cake.’”

Damn! Tracy is really going after Gwyneth?s most favorite thing in the world, her beloved juice cleanses. Of course, I seriously doubt Gwyneth really does ?cleanses? for the actual cleansing. She just uses juice cleanses as a way to explain her eating disorder and to promote unhealthy eating and dieting habits to her followers. Also ? I don?t understand how pureeing food makes it lose nutritional value? I?m not a nutritionist, obviously, but is pureeing food really that terrible?
Here?s your extra-credit assignment. Write a 100-word essay parsing this sentence: “Skinny is not the end all for beauty – a lot more goes into being beautiful than [whether you] have extra weight on you.”

After attending the Met Ball, Gwyneth Paltrow said she probably wouldn’t ever go back because of how hot, crowded and boring it was this time around. She also said she and others were “all a bit old to dress punk.” Gwyneth Paltrow must be really fun at parties.
At least she liked the fashion. She wrote on Goop, “The Met Ball, at NYC’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, is always the year’s most elaborate display of incredible fashion and this year was no different.” So she hated everything about the experience, but the people were cool.
That’s how you hate on something without offending your peers. Golf clap for Gwyneth Paltrow.

Gwyneth Paltrow has the funniest woe-is-Goop interview in USA Today ? you can read the full thing here. After exhausting all of us with tales of her perfect life and after years of doling out helpful Goop advice (?buy $458,003 worth of clothes for Spring!?), after talking about her hairy Goop and after managing to get named ?The Most Beautiful Woman? by People Mag, Gwyneth wants all of us to know that she?s just like us. She has flaws! She isn?t perfect! And she doesn?t know why everyone is putting such unreasonable ?perfect? labels on her. Some of my favorite quotes:
She?s a lightning rod: “I’m a real lightning rod. People project a lot of stuff onto me. It’s nothing to do with me. I don’t read stuff about myself. I feel like it’s none of my business. People perceive that I have too much. I understand that, but I also feel like I’ve suffered so much. It’s not something I talk about. I don’t have a perfect life. I don’t have a perfect anything. I have incredible struggles, and I’m far from perfect. I struggle like every other woman, every other mother. I understand that things look a certain way.”
She didn?t realize that Goop would take off: “I never know where I’m going. I never know what I’m doing. I’m on this weird journey.”
She works so hard! “Right now I’m just so (expletive) tired. After my Iron Man and cookbook press tour and this, I’m done. I think I’ve answered every conceivable question. Your brain freezes.”
Her Met Gala look: “Are you crazy? I’m like RuPaul! I have so much makeup on. Foundation! Last night, I was literally a transvestite.?
Her city-guide Goop Apps: “I really pound the pavement. But I love it. It’s so much fun. It’s about curation and connection. I did the app for myself because it’s so helpful and it’s so practical. The website I do for other people,” Paltrow says, adding that she loves “the idea that you could share something that could positively impact someone’s life.”
She works so much: “I wake up with the kids. Breakfast. School run. I have an hour to work. I work out, and then I do Goop until it’s time to pick up the kids. It’s kind of my real main job. I can only do one movie a year. It’s too hard on the family. It’s great to have a few jobs! I work hard to keep it good.”
Being named ?Most Beautiful?: Her husband, she says, “was really proud. It was very sweet. I got so many e-mails about that. I loved it, because I feel like I’m a mother and I’m a woman. I was very, very honored. It’s a huge title, even though it’s not true. I always see what’s wrong with me. I’ve got crow’s feet, and one boob is sagging more than the other.”

?People perceive that I have too much. I understand that, but I also feel like I’ve suffered so much.? I don?t really understand her thought process here. She does have ?too much?. She worked for it (of sorts) and if she was just living her elite life with her five homes and $500,00 worth of clothes for each season, I think we would just accept it and roll our eyes, which is what we do when we hear of conspicuous consumption from other celebrities. It?s like she doesn?t understand that by making ?recommendations? and encouraging people to ?live like Goop? that she?s engaging us to accept her as the ideal we should have ? and that?s what many people have a problem with. As for her ?suffering? comment? I don?t understand? In Goop?s mind, she deserves to have all of this wonderful because she?s ?suffered??
Oh, and I think she meant that she had so much makeup on, she looked like a ?sort of like a drag queen? not “literally like a transvestite?. But now I?m just being nitpicky, right?

It?s not that I think Gwyneth Paltrow?s Pink Valentino gown is the worst. It?s far from the worst. It?s just that? I expect more from her, I think. This gown seems like she was phoning it in at last night?s Met Gala. I don?t understand how a self-respecting (self-adoring, actually) Fashion Girl wears this to a punk-themed Met Gala. You know what it is? Four or five years ago, if Gwyneth had to go to a major fashion event with a punk theme, she would have gone all out and punked-out. But now that she?s a lifestyle maven trying to appeal to middle-America moms, she feels she can?t go that far. So she plays it safe in an ugly Pink Valentino. Goop, you disappoint me.
Also disappointing? Carey Mulligan in this completely blah Balenciaga. It?s a cute dress, it looks okay on her, and it would have been perfectly suitable for one of the premieres or screenings of The Great Gatsby, but it looks out of place for the Met Gala. She looks miserable too. What?s up with her lately? She always looks like she?s about to cry.
And what the hell is Anna Wintour wearing? This is Chanel. And it?s not punk at all.

I really hope that this is the last gasp of Gwyneth Paltrow?s two-month-long domination of the media. She has been everywhere these past two months, promoting her book and Iron Man 3, being declared People?s ?Most Beautiful? and doing smug, humble-bragging interviews like every day. But hopefully that?s all over now? Hopefully Gwyneth will go back to London and settle down for a little bit? Or has she gotten a taste for the Kardashian-level famewhoring and TMI-interviews? Is this what Gwyneth is going to be like from now on? Ugh. Anyway, Goop did a Q&A with Babble and in between referring to herself as a goddess (no joke), she talks about how ?the fans? want a Pepper Potts spin-off. Sure, Goop.
Babble: How did you feel when you were picked to be on the cover of People Magazine?s Most Beautiful issue?
Honestly, Steven ? he?s been my publicist since I was nineteen years old ? and he sent me the email and I was like, ?this is a typo.? Like I reread it three times, and then I got this really weird old feeling that my school bully had somehow was playing a trick on me. I swear, I had to talk about it with my shrink. I went through this whole weird thing. He was like, ?yes, it?s true.? And I was beyond surprised, flattered, and I still kinda can?t believe it. It?s, it?s really cool.
Tell us about putting on the suit.
I love putting on the suit. It was really weird. I?ve never done anything like that in my whole career, and my son was on set, and so I?ll never forget it; I walk out onto the set, and I was fully dressed in the suit, and his face, because he?s like in the last probably year and a half watched the, the first Iron Man and Avengers and everything- I?ll never forget his face. Like, he was in shock and awe. It was so cool.
Mommy cool?
Oh my God, yes. And by the way, I now have Lego in the set- there?s a Pepper, so I am a goddess. So fun.
How does it feel, as Pepper, to be that strong?
I loved it so much. You know, I was getting kind of like, come on, guys. Pepper, like, let?s- come on, like, all these boys are flying around doing all this fun stuff, and I loved how patient and kind and sweet Pepper is. But when I read this script, I was like, ?oh yeah!? She?s in the suit and flying around, and I loved doing the stunts. As I said, I really had never done anything like that before and it was really fun. I felt like I should?ve been doing this my whole life. It?s like, ?why am I doing all these period films. it?s so boring.?
What are some of the fun things that happen on set?
The things that I remember from set are, like, my kids learning, like how to drive a golf cart. On a movie, it?s so big and you drive a golf cart from one thing to another and you?re like, ?okay, you can drive the golf cart.? And then all of a sudden, they just started taking off in golf carts. So, this is illegal and this is not okay. Or like their Nerf gun fights and we just had, it was just like a fun experience for the family, and they love Robert. They had no idea that Robert was famous until probably a year ago. And they just love him so much and he creates a fun environment, and it was just nice. It was a really nice shoot. When you work with someone over and over again, that you really love and that environment is so familial and the kids feel- everybody feels it really was so great.
Are we gonna see you in more action films?
I don?t know. I would actually really like to, but really, am I old now to start, like, you know, being in action movies. I would like to. The nice thing is that everybody?s sort of been very sweet about Pepper in this movie, like all the journalists who came in. They were like, ?oh my God, you have to have your own movie,? because in the comics, Pepper gets her own suit, and she becomes a character called Rescue. They?re like, we need a Rescue movie, and I?m like, okay, well, I?d better hit the gym.
What color would you choose for your suit?
Ooh, great question. Gray, like, silver and white. My favorite colors.

This is something very particular about Gwyneth, have you noticed? She only hears ? and endlessly repeats ? the compliments people give her. I find that unusual. I can remember most of insults lodged at me throughout my life. The nasty comments and harsh words are burned into my memory and I can recall them in an instant. But it?s like Goop doesn?t even register criticism. She only hears the positive. She only believes the positive. She only repeats the positive to humble-brag endlessly. So of course she thinks she?s deserving of a Pepper spin-off. Of course the critics adore her. Of course she is a ?goddess?. I realize she was saying that in reference to what her son thinks about her lego & suit, but she could have said “Oh, he thinks I’m a cool mom.” But whenever Goop imagines herself through the eyes of anyone else, she sees herself as a goddess.

Gwyneth Paltrow covers the June issue of Glamour UK, and the photoshoot is nothing special. But maybe it doesn?t matter, because it?s just GOOP and Goop changes from interview to interview, always spewing different crap. I think it was just last week when she claimed that she really didn?t want to raise her children in London because of the accents. And in this interview, she?s talking about how much she loves London, blah blah. She also admits that she has a nanny (?so if I need to go to Dubai for Max Factor, then I can?) and that her marriage to Chris Martin is not a bed of roses. Some highlights:
She loves London: ?I love London – it’s my adopted home. Being an American woman living in Britain, there are things I’ve had to catch up on, though. Chris had to explain Blue Peter to me! In London, the kids and I really take advantage of the city. I have them on the tube, in the museums, in St James’ Park, the theatre. I use that city so much – I want them exposed to it.?
Balancing work and motherhood: ?I drive the kids to school, I cook. But I have a nanny, so if I need to go to Dubai for Max Factor, then I can.?
Suffering: ?I?ve had a great deal of suffering in my life. I?ve lost people ? my first cousin, my best friend in a car accident. I?ve had a lot of things happen to me that I don?t talk about in the press. I?ve had a lot of really heartbreaking, difficult things. But all of those things have strengthened my resolve to make the best of my life.?
Marriage problems: ?It?s hard being married. You go through great times, you go through terrible times. We?re the same as any couple. I asked my dad once, ?How did you and Mum stay married for 33 years?? And he said, ?Well, we never wanted to get divorced at the same time?. And I think that?s what happens. When two people throw in the towel at the same time, then you break up, but if one person?s saying, ?come on, we can do this?, you carry on. I?ve learned more about myself by being married than anything else. I hate to say, ?We?ve got it worked out,? because you never know what?s going to happen, but we laugh, we?re good friends, we like to do the same stuff.?
On Chris: “I?m a very grounded, homey person and Chris is a very mad scientist, genius songwriter. So I never say ?Where are you? You should be home by now?. I never place demands on him because I think he?s a really talented man and he?s putting something good into the world.?
Her children: ?Having children changed everything. I used to work all the time, but if you do that, you don?t see your kids, so I look for something that?s interesting, that doesn?t require me to be in every scene and fits in with my children?s school schedule. Having children is a huge responsibility in terms of raising people who will contribute to the world. The people I?ve met who function best in the world are people with good manners, who are curious, who know different places and speak more than one language. So that?s what I?m trying to do.?

Hahaha, Gwyneth considers herself the grounded one!!!! That explains so much about her life, doesn?t it? Gwyneth is always doling out lifestyle advice because she always thinks she?s the sanest person in the room. Do you think that?s true? Granted, Gwyneth is friends with a lot of crazy celebrities, and I suspect she IS ?grounded? compared to, say, Beyonce or Cameron Diaz. But that doesn?t means she IS grounded.

Does Gwyneth Paltrow still have the ability to shock you? At this point? not so much. For me, the ?Goop Too Far? was her story about ?everybody scrambling for a razor? when she tried on the Berardi dress without panties. Meaning that Gwyneth now promotes her films by talking about her the size and hirsuteness of her bush. So what was next on Gwyneth?s TMI Tour? A stop on Chelsea Lately, where Chelsea Handler did the heavy lifting and told the audience about Gwyneth?s ?advice? to ladies fighting with their men. I?ll spare you the build-up: if you?re mad at your man, don?t yell at him, just go down on him. Goop-Style (Goop-Style = pinkies in the air as you stroke).
She paints herself as a domestic goddess, and once encouraged people to ‘nourish the inner aspect’ on her pretentious Goop lifestyle website. But it seems even perfect Gwyenth Paltrow is not always brimming with such lofty words of wisdom.
In a new interview it emerged the 40-year-old actress, who is married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin, once advised a female friend that oral sex was the solution for women wanting to prevent an argument with their husbands. The Iron Man 3 actress didn’t volunteer this story willingly, but was left red faced after chat show host Chelsea Handler made the revelation as she made an appearance on her show on Monday night.
Paltrow was having dinner with friends, including Handler, when the unnamed woman told them she was furious with her spouse after a huge bust up. But according to Handler, Gwyneth told her to let go of her anger – before giving her the unusual advice.

See, all of this time, I only thought of beejs in peasant terms, as a gift you give when YOU need to get out of trouble. It turns out that all of us should be handing out beejs whenever our dudes piss us off. Which is a really terrible way to exist in any relationship ? that?s positive reinforcement of bad behavior. All your man will learn is that he can act like an a?hole and you?ll still give him beejs. It?s like giving your dog a treatie for piddling on the carpet. Classic GOOP.

I don’t know if you realize this but celebrities sacrifice a lot for us. Like their glorious 70?s style bush that they were cultivating with such care and precision.
Case in point. Gwyneth Paltrow told Ellen that the dress she wore to the LA premiere of Iron Man 3 didn’t afford her the ability to wear panties. So she didn’t and ended up having to shave her pubes.
Gwyneth: I kind of had a disaster. I was doing a show and I changed there and I went and I couldn’t wear underwear. I don’t think I can tell this story on TV!
Ellen: Well, now you’ve told it.
Gwyneth: Well, let’s just say everyone went scrambling for a razor and so I went from being the most beautiful to the most humiliated in one day.
Ellen: I really have some questions now. You certainly don’t take care of yourself. I mean, it was just the side of your leg. What is going on with you?

Gwyneth should have just styled her bush with a hipster look. You know, turn it into a nice handlebar mustache. Trust me, this is going to be the new thing. It’s retro, sophisticated and classy. So much so that Chris Martin will have to go down on her wearing a monocle.
Paltrow also played a “guess the rapper” game with Ellen.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I have this theory that Gwyneth Paltrow would actually be really cool to hang out with if she wasn’t trapped in her little bubble of celebrity where buying a $300 bottle of lotion is a good way to save money.
