Gwyneth Paltrow is still promoting the Goop collaboration with Juice Beauty, the organic and non-toxic beauty line. So Gwyneth gave an interview to this week?s issue of People Magazine. Unfortunately, the quotes are not as eye-rolly as her recent Glamour Magazine interview, where Goop came across as stuck so far into her bubble of privilege that she could not understand that she wasn?t and isn?t a self-made woman. This People interview is all about how Goop feels ?beautiful? and what she does to feel beautiful.
Gwyneth Paltrow is feeling beautiful and it’s no accident. The 43-year-old star tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue that she relies on balance in her life to keep her feeling her best.
“I think it’s really important to be happy, and I think women get happy by being authentic,” she says. “But I also believe in exercise, eating well, drinking lots of water, sex, sleeping and being around people who make you feel good. And I think that glow that you get in life comes from a combination of all those things.”
The GOOP guru is taking her love for all things green to the next level with her very own skin care line in collaboration with Juice Beauty. Launching March 1, the non-toxic collection comes on the heels of a her recent makeup collaboration with the brand. The entrepreneur and mom of two says that she created the line because she feels that “women deserve to have a really effective, beautifully made product that’s non toxic and organic.”
With a lengthy career, family and GOOP under her belt, Paltrow says aging doesn’t faze her one bit.
“I earned these gray hairs,” Paltrow declares. “I really am not afraid of getting older.”
[From People]
Just once, I would love to hear Gwyneth say ?You know what? I believe in ?You Do You.?? But that whole idea would cut into her cottage industry of sanctimonious advice. She came close to just saying ?women should be authentic,? but she remembered that her role on earth is to remind every woman that they can?t just be authentic, they also have to exercise, diet, drink lots of water, have sex, get a lot of sleep and be the Queen Bee of a group of Botoxed blonde women. Classic Goop. Achieving happiness is never as easy as saying ?just be yourself.?
Am I the only one who rolls her eyes every time Gwyneth talks about how hard she works? ?I earned these gray hairs.? Did you though?
Fun fact: Both Brad Falchuk and Gwyneth are still married to other people.

| Gwyneth Paltrow Covers Glamour March 2016: Relationships Are My Biggest Success | Added 8 years ago | Source: Celebrity Gossip |

Flashing a flirty smile, Gwyneth Paltrow is featured on the front of the March 2016 issue of Glamour magazine.
In her interview, the ?Sliding Doors? dame chats about the naming process for her Juice lipstick colors- ?The line is made in California, so I was thinking of my California posse: Cameron, Blythe, Apple, Drew, Reese, Kate, Chelsea?. If you were to ask me what my biggest success is, it?s that I?ve been able to maintain and nourish my relationships. As you get older, you choose friends based on not only what feels resonant and warm but if they?re bringing something to your life. My women friends are incredibly intelligent. There?s no posturing, no competition. Especially in Los Angeles, I see pockets of friends who are very competitive, and I think, ?What is the point? I would rather be alone in bed with a book than have a girlfriend who is like that.??
Ms. Paltrow also confesses that naysayers sometimes get under her skin- ?Sometimes I?ll get annoyed if someone?s like, ?Goop is so expensive.? I?m like, ?Have you looked at the website? Have you seen the range of price points? ?Cause we sell things that are $8.? I?m like, ?If you want to f--k with me, bring your A-game. At least have all your information.? Once in a while, if I?m exhausted and overwhelmed, I?ll be like, ?Ugh, that bugs me,? or, ?That hurt my feelings.? But very rarely. I don?t lose sleep over it. It?s my business to live my life and learn my lessons. I don?t care what anybody else thinks?. Maybe when I was 25 that would have been different. But I?m 43 years old, and I know who I am, and I own my mistakes. They?re my business. And when somebody who doesn?t know me has an opinion, it?s none of my business.?

Ever since Gwyneth Paltrow started Gooping years ago, she?s done an annual Christmas/holiday gift guide around this time. The Goop Gift Guide has become a thing of legend at this point, because Gwyneth?s smug obliviousness always includes ridiculously overpriced gifts. For what it?s worth, I?m always more offended by Goop?s Seasonal Fashion guides, which is where she recommends literally thousands of dollars? worth of trendy crap that people will only wear for a month or two. Anyway, last year?s Goop Gift Guide would have set people back $109,384. This year?s price tag for the whole list is much, much more ? you can see the gift guide here at Goop. Some highlighted items that you?ll want to give your mother, brother-in-law and your boss:
$90,000 for the ?Edge of Space Exploration? vacation package, which includes a trip to the Miraval Resort in Tucson.
$125,000 for 18-carat gold dumbbells from M’oda Operandi
$1,621.27 for The Darwin Sect?s illuminated jellyfish tank.
$2,300 for Just One Eye gilded playing cards
$956 for Joseph?s Toiletries toilet paper.
$244 for the Cedes Milano toothpaste squeezer.
$42 for the Canoe condom dispenser.
$40,000 for the Beolab 90 sound machine.
$46,000 for the Hermes mah-jong set.
I?ll give Gwyneth some credit, actually. This is the most organized Goop Gift Guide she?s ever done, and as I glanced through the list, I actually didn?t think that most of the stuff was balls-out ridiculous. I mean, is it still crazy-overpriced? Sure. Does she still look really out of touch? Yes. But if you look at it as escapism, it?s fun to browse through the lists.
Meanwhile, Gwyneth took part in a Fast Company Q&A/forum this week where Gwyneth previewed the gift guide. As it turns out, she was gleeful about the idea of pissing people off with her smug recommendations. As it turns out, Gwyneth is actively trolling us with her recommendations for $125,000 gold dumbbells and vadge steamings. Goop said:
She?s trolling us: ?I think, in a media company, it’s good when people are talking about your content. Especially if you stand by your content: It’s not like we’re a gossip site, we’re not saying mean things?we have no negativity in the website at all. If we try a restaurant and we don’t like it, we just don’t add it. That’s part of our values?we believe in positivity and promoting, we don’t say anything bad? to get attention for our content is never a bad thing?. Sometimes we just like to have fun, and make fun of ourselves and put on [Goop.com] some ridiculous thing just to make ourselves laugh.”
The ?Conscious Uncoupling? thing: “[It] broke the f–king Internet? At the time, I was like ‘Oh, my gosh.’ It was such a hard time personally, and then you have this added layer of all this criticism. You look back, you think, well, this is actually kind of a good thing to talk about, introducing [the idea that] you could break up in a way where you remain a family, even if you’re not in a couple. What would be that knock-on effect, on your children, on your community?”
[From Fast Company]
?Conscious Uncoupling? did not ?break the f?king internet.? You know what it did do? It broke her website. I remember that evening when she posted the message, Goop.com kept crashing. She broke her own website and then, because the world resolves around Gwyneth, she assumed that everyone was obsessed with her. As opposed to her site being poorly operated.

| Gwyneth Paltrow in a cut-out Cushnie Et Ochs dress: smug or cute? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of a fit-looking Gwyneth Paltrow on the red carpet for the Environmental Media Awards. The dress is by Cushnie Et Ochs. It?s cute, but it seems designed to show off Gwyneth?s abs and the fact that she?s not wearing a bra (even Goop worried that her boobs were falling out of it). More on the bra stuff in a moment. I do like that Gwyneth didn?t do a center part with her hair but I don?t really care for how pale-orange she appears. Goop?s date was her mom, Blythe Danner.
Gwyneth deigned to walk the carpet and appear at this event because they gave her an award for being an environmental person in the media. The specific reason for the award was Gwyneth?s work on behalf of GMO labeling ? she gave testimony before Congress about it and she used Goop.com to push for more GMO labeling.
While a lot of people believe in GMO labeling and there are a lot of activists on that front, I kind of think Gwyneth lacks some critical legitimacy on most health/diet/exercise/wellness issues. It?s not just the bra thing ? where Goop published a story about how bras MIGHT cause cancer, a theory that was widely debunked many years ago ? it?s that Gwyneth?s Goop.com has become a one-stop shop for whatever half-baked nonsense Gwyneth believes in this month. That?s what we?ve learned about Gwyneth from Goop: she pays fake doctors, gurus, frauds and bullsh-t ?healers? to tell her what she wants to hear. What I?m saying is that this award probably should have gone to someone else.
PS? I will give her this: her skin is looking a lot better these days.

| Gwyneth Paltrow had to stop using SAT-words because she seemed 'unlikeable' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Gwyneth Paltrow at Variety’s Power of Women Luncheon on Friday. Given the event, is it weird and un-feminist that my first thought was ?what?s going on with Goop?s face?? Is this Botox? She seems suspiciously? smooth. Gwyneth?s white dress was from Brandon Maxwell’s Spring 2016 collection. I like it, surprisingly. It genuinely looks good on her. Gwyneth apparently came to this event with ?official? boyfriend, Brad Falchuk, but they didn?t walk the carpet together.
On the carpet, Gwyneth chatted with People Magazine about her daughter, Apple, who is now 11 years old. Apparently, Apple is a big Taylor Swift fan, which Goop approves of. Gwyneth told People: ?She loves Taylor Swift, and for me, that?s such a great sign. Taylor is a girl who?s incredibly talented. She writes her own music. She?s not naked on the red carpet. She?s an incredibly astute businesswoman, so with role models like that, [Apple] can?t go wrong.? Gwyneth also believes that Apple?s generation will change the world: ?I really think that that generation is going to do something very special. Those girls, they are so in their power. They are absolutely shameless in terms of their femininity, and I think we?re on the verge of something really exciting.? I don?t get how someone can be ?shameless? about their femininity?
Then, during her speech at the luncheon/forum, Gwyneth said more words about sexism and Hollywood. Some highlights:
?Ambition? used to be a bad word: ?When I was a young women in Hollywood, if you were a woman focused on building your career, you were labeled ambitious, and that was a bad word. So, I was decidedly not, and developed a ?Oh, how could this happen to me?? approach.?
She was always too smart for Hollywood: ?I was told to temper my use of SAT words in interviews because it made me ‘unlikeable’.?
The change in Hollywood: She said we?re ?on the verge of creating a new archetype,? where it?s possible for a woman to be ?naturing, maternal, sexual?Power of women rings a bit differently. Fear of how we are perceived seems to be waning and things are being brought to the life. We are empowering each other. We are banding together to support each other. Yes, we suffer some slings and arrows along the way, not me obviously. I feel those slings and arrows fortify us.?
[From Vanity Fair & Variety]
While I think Gwyneth is probably smarter or at least of average intelligence compared to her contemporaries in Hollywood, she?s never struck me some brilliant woman purposefully hiding away her intelligence lest she intimidate too many people. The sheer fact that she honestly believed ?ambition? was a dirty word for women in Hollywood proves that her SAT-prep work was an uphill battle.

There?s nothing quite as important as mother-daughter bonding time, and Gwyneth Paltrow made sure to carve out an afternoon to spend with her daughter Apple Martin this week.
The ?Shakespeare in Love? lady posted a snapshot to Instagram with her 11-year-old progeny from her marriage to Chris Martin of Coldplay.
In the photograph, Apple gives her marvelous mama a sweet smooch on the cheek. Gwyn captioned the shot, ?Beach day with my little beauty.?

| Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop is selling $1700 'Biggie/Pac' & 'Hov/Shady' clutches | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?ve really tried to stop getting mad about the crap Gwyneth Paltrow sells on Goop. The Goop online store has always been full of many very elite products, but it is what it is. Gwyneth sometimes pretends that the Goop Store is for peasants and elites alike, but it?s not and that?s okay ? there are tons of online boutique shops that are not for me or anyone in my income bracket.
Now, all that being said? we can still laugh. Because Goop?s latest elite collaboration is just BEYOND. As Gwyneth explains, ?We asked Edie Parker to designed a duo of hip-hop-themed clutches, just for us.? On one clutch, there?s ?pearlescent, pool-blue acrylic?emblazoned with ?Biggie? in white on one side, and ?Pac? in red on the other.? On the other ?hand-poured black acrylic? clutch, the names ?Hov? and ?Shady? are in silver and gold on either side. You can see the clutches here. The price tag for the clutches? $1695. SERIOUSLY.
Would you spend $1700 on ugly acrylic clutches that are hand-bedazzled (or whatever) by Edie Parker? Would you spend that money on clutches emblazoned, nonsensically, with Biggie/Pac or Hov/Shady? I sincerely hope that Tupac returns from his hideout in Cuba just to sue the sh-t out of Gwyneth. I hope Eminem devotes an entire song to Gwyneth and how stupid she is.

| Will Gwyneth Paltrow dump Brad Falchuk when she moves back to London? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Gwyneth Paltrow returned to the US late last week after a week-long holiday in Italy with her on-again (or never off) boyfriend Brad Falchuk. Gwyneth went to the Valentino show and then she and Brad went to Positano for a pap-friendly beach vacay. The seemingly posed (?) paparazzi photos seemed to tell the world: Goop and Brad are fine. They are in love. Gwyneth is so elite and special that she managed to turn her married lover into her jumpoff and now legit boyfriend. All the rumors of a breakup ? and the rumors of Brad?s inability to finalize his divorce ? are all false. Right? Right. At least that?s the narrative Gwyneth wants? for now. The Daily Mail says the narrative may change a bit in the coming months, because Gwyneth is going to move back to London full-time:
It was only days ago that Gwyneth Paltrow and her American TV producer boyfriend Brad Falchuk were canoodling by the sea on Italy?s swanky Amalfi coast. But it seems their relationship, which only became public in April, could be heading for the rocks ? because she is moving back to London from the US.
I hear Gwyneth, 41, wants her children Apple, 11, and Moses, nine, to attend one of London?s leading schools, after living in LA since she chose to ?consciously uncouple? from Chris Martin in 2014. Their divorce was finalised in April ? but I?m told Gwyneth and Chris, 38, are ?closer than ever?, and she is moving back into the Belsize Park family home in September.
A friend says Chris and Gwyneth want their children to attend independent Highgate School, adding: ?It?s about the kids getting the best education and being happy and that means being in London. They still get along well. The house is big enough to live separate lives.?
[From The Daily Mail]
The living-together-sort-of thing is easy enough to do for Gwyneth and Chris because I believe their London home is actually two or three homes that went through endless renovations to ?attach? and make into one huge family home. You know who did something similar? Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall. Even after they divorced, they lived in a huge, extended family home and co-parented their children. As for the move from LA? I can believe it. I can believe that Gwyneth probably wants her kids to be educated in England. But let?s wait and see? I think that Gwyneth has based most of the operations for Goop.com in LA, so she might not be able to move to London at the moment. Unless she plays on telecommuting, which is a strong possibility too.
As for Gwyneth and Brad? well, IF they break up, of course it will be on Gwyneth?s terms.

| Gwyneth Paltrow on Goop: 'It's my whole day' it's an actual real job' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Gwyneth Paltrow at the annual conference for women bloggers, BlogHer 2015, in NYC on Friday. To be superficial for a moment, I will give actual, real money to Gwyneth if she ever deigns to make a public appearance these days without flat-ironing and center-parting her hair. God, it looks like damaged straw. Anyway, it cost $599 to get into this event to hear Gwyneth goop her way through a Q&A session. Would you pay $600 to hear Gwyneth?s flat, nasal, holier-than-thou thoughts on anything? I would not. Even if Gwyneth was teaching the absolute best, most elite way to yawn, I would still not pay that much money. And I?m actually a woman making a living blogging full time! I?m the target audience! So what does Gwyneth have to say to me? Some highlights from Dame Goop?s discussion:
GOOP is a real job: ?It?s my whole day. I basically get my kids to school, and I go into the office, and it?s really my focus right now. It?s an actual real job.”
The original concept for GOOP was to keep it private: ?It really kind of came about in a very small way, with me in the kitchen, with my girlfriends talking about ideas. I didn?t think larger at first. They said, you can?t start a [private] website! It will be public! Then I just said, ‘Oh well, I?ll just do it and make it public.? I look back and I think, ?what was I thinking?? They suggested I put it in a newsletter form.?
GOOP is all about Gwyneth?s journey to better understand Gwyneth: ?I?m very passionate about travel and health and wellness and food and trying to become a better person. I was using the website to get closer to myself in a way.?
Gwyneth?s idea of the GOOP reader/consumer: ?It doesn?t matter what the income is, but she?s a really engaged forward-thinking person, and she wants cutting edge information and interesting options.?
She doesn?t want to do GOOP forever: ?I don?t want the brand to be inextricably linked to me. In 20 years, I want someone to say, ?Didn?t you have something to do with that???
On Chris Martin & their divorce: “I think, unfortunately, though we couldn’t stay in a romantic relationship, we’re very, our values are very much around the importance of family and the importance of those relationships and I’m lucky that we’re aligned in that way. And it’s been hard, and you know, like, we’ve gone through really difficult times with it but we’ve always said these children are our priority. What that really means is, ‘Even though today, you hate me and you never want to see me again, like, we’re going to brunch, ’cause it’s Sunday and that’s what we’ll do!’ You know, like, ‘That’s what’s happening!’ Like, the children are our commitment.?
She admits she?s not perfect: ?It’s definitely imperfect but it gets easier with time and you know, we’re really good friends. I like him. He’s great. He’s a great dad and so, I feel lucky that we both, along the way, have been able to really put down our own stuff while we’re together with the family and that we make it a priority to be together so that the transition for the children wasn’t, you know, as brutal as it could be. And everybody does it in their own way. It’s hard and I would never judge anyone for doing it any way. Just, for us, we thought if we could maintain the family even though we’re changing the shape of it, it would be, that would be our ideal scene and so, that’s what we’re trying to do.
[From Biz Journals, Yahoo & E! News]
I think GOOP probably takes up a lot of her day at this point (like, maybe four hours a day), but that was not always the case. In the first several years of GOOP, Gwyneth would often phone in her weekly Goopletters, and she wouldn?t post stuff while she was on vacation (for like two months over the summer). I?m just saying? she?s never really known what it?s like to be a full-time blogger. One weekly Goopletter for 30 weeks a year isn?t really full-time blogging. Also: she?s still not ?blogging? full time. As she?s grown GOOP into something much larger, she?s hired good people to make it into a real lifestyle site. In exchange, she lost some of the personal quirks and Gwyneth-specific attitude.
