Gwyneth Paltrow walked the red carpet at Sunday’s Emmy Awards in L.A. wearing a sexy see-through Pucci ensemble. The black and nude look exposed the actress’ toned tummy.

When Gwyneth Paltrow was walking the red carpet, I was having a bitch of a time figuring out what part of her dress was lined and what part was see-through. In still photos, I think I?ve figured it out - we?re actually seeing Goop?s stomach, right? But we?re not seeing her legs? Is the skirt of this dress fully lined, or did I make out some actual skin down there? I think we?ll looking at lining in the skirt. The dress is Pucci, which is interesting, I guess. Goop?s been wearing more and more Pucci in the past year. I think I would have really, genuinely liked the dress if the beaded lace had been done throughout, and there was no ?faux crop-top circa 1994? action happening.
As for the ?see through? part, which I thought was an unflattering leather belt at first? tragic. Here?s the thing about our Dame Goop: she works hard for her body. She diets and she exercises like crazy, and having a great body and showing it off in clothes - that?s what Gwyneth lives for. This is her life?s work, what we see here, more than any acting gig. The problem? With all of the work she puts into her body, she still has a square-shaped body, and this dress doesn?t do anything for it. It makes her look even boxier. Plus, there?s still the ?sexiness? problem with Goop. Even when she?s undressed, even when she?s showing off her body? there?s nothing sexy about her. She?s just an icy, smug blonde with a nice figure that no one gets hot for.
As for the styling? I LOL?d when I saw that Goop had flat-ironed her hair AGAIN. She does it for all red carpets now! Because Goop is stuck in 1997, when she was at the height of her fame and smug, self-satisfied importance. She just looks so dated to me - this is not a style trendsetter anymore, this is just some woman who used to be very famous and she still dresses like she?s in her 20s.

She's a seasoned pro when it comes to awards shows, and tonight (September 18) Gwyneth Paltrow was all smiles as she arrived at the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
Glamming up the swanky Los Angeles affair, the "Country Strong" actress showed off her timeless style as she posed for the paparazzi outside the Nokia Theatre.
Gwyneth joins tonight's festivities having already taken home an early Emmy for Oustanding Guest Actress in a Comedy for her role as guidance counselor Holy Holiday on "Glee."
Joining a slew of other Hollywood heavyweights, Miss Paltrow is set to the stage for co-presenting duties later in the show.

Treating herself to a rockin' night on the town, Gwyneth Paltrow attended an afterparty following musician Lenny Kravitz's gig with Absolute Radio in London on Monday night (September 12).
The "Contagion" actress was all smiles as she posed arm-in-arm with the rocker at The Box Soho locale - with the event being part of Lenny's launch efforts for his new album 'Black and White America'.
The outing comes on the heels of another accolade for Miss Paltrow - as she ended up being named as the winner of a Creative Arts Emmy Award during the annual ceremony on Saturday night.
Gwyneth was named as Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as substitute teacher Holly Holiday on "Glee".
With the 38-year-old not on-hand to collect her trophy, presenter Alison Brie jokingly told the audience, "She couldn't be here because it's happy hour at the Starlight Room."

These are new photos of Gwyneth Paltrow, out and about in London last night for Fashion?s Night Out. She was at some Coach event at their new store, and Goop finally dropped the orange and went back to black. I actually like her outfit a lot - it?s flattering, chic and simple. The pants are especially nice. Here?s a question, though: Why does Goop insist on flat-ironing? I get that her style heyday was in the 1990s, the Era of the Flat-Iron, but surely she knows that by continuing to flat-iron her hair, she looks? dated?!? Goop? Never! But she does - imagine how much better she would look if her hair was fluffy and she let her natural waves fly?
In other Goop news, she?s just signed on for a new movie that will have her playing a sex addict. How gauche! The film is called Thanks for Sharing, and it will be directed by Stuart Blumberg, and costar Mark Ruffalo, Tim Robbins and Joely Richardson. I wonder if this is yet another supporting part that Gwyneth can film quickly so she can rush back to her children, her only ?real achievement?.
Also - did you know that Gwyneth didn?t update her Goop newsletter for more than a month while she went on holiday? Being a professional snot is SO HARD. But Goop returned this week with Gwyneth?s ?scrapbook from Venice?. Basically, she just took photos from her phone and wrote down everything she did for two days. It?s pretty much an advertisement for Contagion, which comes out this weekend (which I think will bomb at the box office - just my opinion). Here?s Goop?s intro:
Hello lovely readers! I?m just back from a delightfully laborious Labor Day weekend in Venice, Italy, where I was in attendance for the premiere of the excellent film, Contagion. It was just over 48 hours of jam-packed happenings and the food was sublime. Below is my little scrapbook.
Happy back to school. Not.
Love, GP
[From GOOP]
NOT. Gwyneth and Justin Timberlake are the same. They are both so, so dated. They both say ?Not? like it?s still cool. Anyway, you can read this week?s Goop newsletter here, and I?ve included some of the photos below. NOT. No, I did.

These are new photos of Gwyneth Paltrow in London last night, attending an event for Coach. She’s the new face of Coach, and by attending this event (which was likely in her honor), she missed the NYC premiere of Contagion (where she would have had to share the spotlight). I don’t know who did the houndstooth coat, but the dress is Lanvin. What’s up with Goop and the orange dresses lately? Doesn’t she realize that orange doesn’t do anything for her? Also: I hate her shoes. Guess who else came to the Coach event? Chris Martin! Of course, they weren’t photographed together or anything - they arrived and left separately, and Chris was dressed down in a hoodie, like a jagoff.
Anyway, I wanted to talk about a new interview with Dame Goop. Gwyneth was speaking to E! News, probably just giving a simple confirmation that she wants to appear on Glee again when suddenly, out of the blue, she went Full Garner. Remember Jennifer Garner?s interview, in which Jennifer claimed, ?There?s no deeper want for a woman? than to be a mother? Well, Dame Gwyneth sees Garner?s anti-childfree sentiments, and raises her a statement that is dripping with patronizing sanctimony. And it?s all about Beyonce, of course.
Seeing how Gwyneth Paltrow has made such a splash with her unforgettable appearances on Glee, it only makes sense that fans would want to see her return. That is, of course, she doesn’t even think about trying to hook up with Matthew Morrison.
So, what does the Oscar winner have to say about another possible encore performance?
“I would love to go back on,” Paltrow tells E! News. “You know, I’m not sure if I will or not, but we’ll see. It would be hard for me to say no. I have such a good time doing that show. So, we’ll see if they ask me back or not.”
Until then, the actress is keeping busy promoting her latest film, Contagion. The thriller, centering on the worldwide outbreak of a deadly virus, reunited the actress with her Talented Mr. Ripley costars Jude Law and Matt Damon, who plays her husband in the flick.
“It was so great to work with him again,” she says. “We’re different in a lot of ways with all our kids and so we talked a lot about our kids and showed pictures.”
Speaking of rugrats, Paltrow is so “happy” that her good friend Jay-Z and his wife Beyonc are expecting and admits that becoming a parent really puts everything in perspective.
?It?s wonderful to see her so happy right now,? Gwyneth tells E! ?And so looking forward to the experience. I?m very happy for them.?
“I think motherhood is the biggest blessing of all time and it give your life real meaning,” she points out. “It’s always interesting when you’re a woman with success and you’ve achieved a lot, and then you have a baby and you realize everything you thought was an achievement really is nothing until you have a kid, and I think that will be [Beyonc's] experience.”
Any advice for pal Jay-Z?
“I’d tell him directly,” says Paltrow, adding with a laugh: “But I wouldn’t say it on television.”
[From E! News]
Where to start? I guess I?ll start with my simple admission that I?m not a mother, I?ve always thought I would be a terrible mom (to real children, not fur babies), and the way my life has gone thus far, I doubt motherhood will ever happen for me. I?m fine with it. I don?t see my life as incomplete or ?less than? because I don?t have babies. It?s my body, my life choices, and if you want to have babies, God bless. Don?t judge me and my choices. I just get so tired and sad with women telling me that motherhood is the best, that your life only starts when you?re a mother, that I will never know how great it is, implying that women without children are shells of women, without real, authentic experiences because they haven’t become moms.
Goop?s statement - “I think motherhood is the biggest blessing of all time and it give your life real meaning. It’s always interesting when you’re a woman with success and you’ve achieved a lot, and then you have a baby and you realize everything you thought was an achievement really is nothing until you have a kid.” WTF? I understand what she?s saying intellectually, that this was her experience, that she feels like she only grew as a person when she became a mother. That’s HER experience. But to dismiss any and all OTHER acheivements as ?less than? becoming a mother? To associate ONLY motherhood with giving one?s life ?real meaning?? Ugh. God, I just hate Goop. Just keep in mind that her second biggest blessing of all time is her bedroom bathtub.

She was recently named as the luxury brand's new face, and Gwyneth Paltrow joined up with her style-loving friends for a Coach dinner party in London on Wednesday night (September 7).
The Oscar-winning actress added a dose of color to the soiree as she turned up at The Arts Club in a bright orange Lanvin cocktail dress while joining fellow guests including actress Thandie Newton, Princess Rosario of Bulgaria, Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece and famous photographer Mario Testino.
The outing comes as Miss Paltrow is just arrived back in the UK after promoting her upcoming movie "Contagion" at the Venice Film Festival.
Set to hit theaters this Friday (September 9), the Steven Soderbergh directed action-thriller is "centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak."
Boasting quite the cast, "Contagion" also stars Matt Damon, Marion Cotillard, Jude Law and Kate Winslet.

| Gwyneth Paltrow Is a Romantic Realist | Added 13 years ago | Source: The Blemish |

Gwyneth Paltrow says she’s more evolved than the average person. At least that’s what I imagine she thinks. All the time. While promoting Contagion, where she plays a cheating wife, Paltrow said she can still respect and admire those who have cheated on their husbands and wives.
“I am a great romantic — but I also think you can be a romantic and a realist. Life is complicated and long and I know people that I respect and admire and look up to who have had extra-marital affairs. It’s like we’re flawed — we’re human beings and sometimes you make choices that other people are going to judge. That’s their problem but I think that the more I live my life, the more I learn not to judgepeoplefor what they do.” — Daily Mail
Of course, this brings up the question whether or not Chris Martin bangs groupies on tour. Gwyneth impies he hasn’t. “I’m lucky — I have a wonderful, blessed life. I have two fantastically delightful children and a very nice husband, so … Knock on wood.”
“Very nice?” That’s how you describe the kid from across the street that you met just once or the steak you ate at a five star restaurant that you weren’t that impressed with. If Chris Martin isn’t banging groupies in his trailer, he should be.

| Gwyneth Paltrow deigns to acknowledge saving a peasant's life on 9/11 | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

A few weeks ago, we found out that Gwyneth Paltrow ?saved a life? on 9/11 by almost running down a woman on the streets of New York. The woman was walking to work and Dame Goop almost crashed her Mercedes into her. The woman was late for the subway, so she late for work at the World Trade Center, thus, her life was saved. To Goop?s credit, SHE wasn?t the one pushing the story or publicizing it, it was all this woman who lived to tell the tale. Gwyneth?s publicist only confirmed the details. But now that Goop is in Venice promoting a film, she took the time to talk about it:
Gwyneth Paltrow didn’t mean to be a hero on September 11, 2001 — but, thanks to post-yoga class encounter with a jaywalking pedestrian named Lara Lundstrom Clarke in downtown Manhattan, she became one.
Last month, Clarke recounted her “Sliding Doors moment,” in which she had an awkward stand-off with Paltrow (in her Mercedes SUV) on Seventh Avenue — thereby making her miss her train to work at the World Trade Center. (By the time Clarke arrived, the first tower was already falling.)
Promoting her flick Contagion at the Venice Film Festival, Paltrow, 37, acknowledged receiving a letter from Clarke and recounted her own version of that day.
“Basically, what happened was I had gone to a yoga class very early,” Paltrow explained.
“I was on the way home and it was the morning of September 11 — not that I knew at the time what that meant — and a girl was jaywalking across the street and we kind of both stopped at the same time and waited a really long time,” said Paltrow.
“Ten years later I got a letter from her saying that she had been late for work and we had that thing and she went down to the Christopher Street station to catch her train to go down to the World Trade Center where she worked on the 77th floor of the South Tower and the train was just pulling out,” the Oscar winner and mother of two continued.
“It was an extraordinary story and all I could think about is all of the people who had experiences like that that day, but aren’t able to reach out because it wasn’t a recognizable person,” Paltrow pointed out. “I think a lot of fates were changed that day obviously and I am very humbly happy to be a part of her story.”
[From Us Weekly]
I like Gwyneth?s emphasis on how the woman was ?jaywalking?. Which makes it okay that Goop almost ran her down in her Mercedes, I guess. No, I won?t make fun of it. Gwyneth is handling the situation the best way she can. It?s not like she?s ?pulling a Goop? and starting the conversation like, ?My dear friend, this peasant, says I?m a national hero. Beyonce said my dancing is heroic too. It must be true. I demand a monument in my honor!? I also like the point that Goop made about how many people have similar stories of that day, but aren?t able to find their ?heroes? because the people were just normal, ordinary people.

| Gwyneth Paltrow in Prada, in Venice: lovely, elegant or tragic? | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Gwyneth Paltrow was all over Venice this weekend for the film festival?s premiere of Contagion, that Soderbergh movie where she dies like ten minutes into the film. Matt Damon and his wife were there too, but this is the Gwyneth-centric post, because there?s lots to talk about it.
Let?s do fashion first. For both the Contagion photo call and premiere, Gwyneth wore Prada. The orange dress (for the photo call) is kind of meh to me - I don?t like Goop in orange, it makes her skin look weird. I also find the faux-cap sleeves, with the weird draping, rather ugly. It makes her look like she has hunched shoulders, which isn?t good for Gwyneth?s naturally slouchy posture. That being said, her body looks great. I think her legs look particularly sexy, and I usually don?t use the word ?sexy? for Dame Goop.
The Prada gown for the premiere was this weird condom dress with the overly-large back bow, all in this pale pink-nude color. It could have washed Gwyneth out, but I kind of like the color on her, but I?m meh on the design. Maybe if it didn?t have the mock turtle? Maybe if the darting on the bodice was done better?
I will give Goop credit for some things though - her hair and face look better than they?ve looked in months. She?s not puffy and waxy, her skin looks healthy and natural. And her blonde looks good too - bitch got her roots done for the film festival, and she?s softened her blonde with some rich-looking low and highlights.
