Here are some photos of Gwyneth Paltrow mingling with the peasantry at LAX yesterday. She was flying out ? probably to her olde home, London, if I had to guess. They understand her in London. They appreciate ROYALTY in London. *sniff* Not like in LA. Los Angeles is far too egalitarian for Dame Gwyneth. All of these peasants, thinking that they have the right to read about celebrities in mass-market publications. It?s enough to make one clutch their pearls.
Anyway, a few days ago, Radar claimed that Gwyneth was trying to ?fight back? against Vanity Fair. VF is probably (hopefully) going to run a Goop slam-piece in their next issue, and until the article goes to press, Gwyneth is calling up all of her elite friends (haha, like she has ANY peasant friends), trying to get them to join in her in a ?boycott? of VF. So far, only George Clooney has taken her call, I guess, but Julia Roberts is ignoring her. And now, a new peasant wrinkle. Gwyneth is trying to get A-listers to boycott VF?s annual Oscar party, which is known as ?the hottest ticket in town? come awards season. Hahahaha.
Gwyneth Paltrow isn?t just on the defensive with Vanity Fair, she?s going on the offensive ? actively asking her A-list friends to boycott the magazine?s famous Oscars party, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
As we reported, the war between Paltrow, 41, and the popular magazine ? which is planning to run a bombshell expose on her ? is at an all-time high amid private vows and declaration to destroy the monthly?s reputation.
?Gwyneth feels her relationship with the magazine has been destroyed and she?s urging pals not just to avoid doing business with the magazine, but to skip the mag?s Oscar party as well,? a source dished to Radar. ?To be frank, she wants to shut their Oscar party down entirely.?
It?s not the first time Paltrow has enlisted the help of her famous friends to tarnish the magazine.
As Radar previously reported, a mass email she sent to her pals begging them not to participate in the magazine?s expose was revealed stating: ?If you are asked for quotes or comments, please decline. Also, I recommend you all never do this magazine again.?
The fuss started when Vanity Fair?s editor-in-chief Graydon Carter expressed his hard-hitting approach to Paltrow when she decided to decline cooperation with the magazine for a cover story featuring her.
?We wouldn?t be doing our job if there wasn?t a little bit of tension between Vanity Fair and its subjects,? Carter said. ?In any given week, I can expect to hear from a disgruntled subject in Hollywood, Washington, or on Wall Street. That?s the nature of the beast.?

Yeah, I don?t think many people are going to give a sh-t about ?standing with Goop?. This is all such bulls?t. It?s like Gwyneth has decided to ?take a stand? and become some moral crusader? but the only issue she cares about is herself and her image. I just can?t see how anyone else would really care that much if VF ran a slam-piece about her. Why would George Clooney or Brad Pitt or Julia Roberts or Oprah really care enough about Goop to NOT go to the VF Oscar party?

It would be the perfect early Christmas present. But Gwyneth still has a few tricks up her elite, $5000 cashmere-and-unicorn sleeve: she?s trying to fight back and ?destroy? VF.
With a scathing Vanity Fair take-down piece in the works on Gwyneth Paltrow, the two are going head to head in a war that has turned nuclear! RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned the Iron Man 3 actress wants to ?destroy? the coveted magazine?s reputation before they can publish the expose on her.
The forthcoming article ? which some had thought might have been scratched when it failed to materialize in the latest issue? is rumored to expose her possible infidelities with Miami hotelier Jeff Soffer (Paltrow has said it?s ?one big lie?) among many other salacious items about the star.
?It?s still going to run and it could possibly break online in the next two-three weeks,? an insider told Radar. ?Too many resources have been plowed into it and too many bridges have been brined for it to be killed.?
When the article failed to make it into the magazine?s latest issue, Paltrow?s efforts ?notably stepped up,? the source said.
They said: ?She wants the magazine?s reputation destroyed before they can even publish anything on her.?

Paltrow, 41, has supposedly convinced George Clooney to withdraw from appearing on the magazine?s Hollywood Issue cover, but had trouble with Julia Roberts who is apparently close to the magazine?s editor-in-chief, Graydon Carter.
?[Julia] is ignoring Gwyneth, has no problem with Graydon and is happily still committed to appear on the cover of that issue,? the source revealed, noting that the refusal to bend to Paltrow?s wishes ?has probably ended any chance of a friendship between the two of them.?

HOLY CRAP. Now I really want to see a girl-fight between Julia Roberts (*goose honk*) and Gwyneth Paltrow (*simper*). And I think it?s hilarious that Gwyneth has spent DECADES cultivating and culling her elite list of strictly A-list friends, and how very few of those friends have her back in a Goop Emergency. First Jay-Z appeared on the cover ? JUDAS! And now Julia Roberts won?t back down? Hahahaha. Oh, and George Clooney probably just pushed his VF cover back a few months since The Monuments Men isn?t going to be released in time for the awards season anyway.
Once again, I just have to say ? Gwyneth really has no idea how to behave when every single person around her isn?t kissing her ass. This is only one of the first cracks in Goop?s armor. Maybe she needs to hire Liberty Ross?s crisis manager or something?

Following the widespread reports of Gwyneth Paltrow?s shady sexual past, In Touch Weekly decided to follow Star Magazine?s lead and put Goop on the cover. Some of the cover story is just a rehash of what we?ve already heard ? that Gwyneth maybe/probably banged a billionaire named Jeffrey Soffer back in 2008. Vanity Fair?s reporter is apparently digging around in Miami for any dirt they can find on the alleged affair from five years ago. But In Touch has some interesting new details on this alleged affair:
?Gwyneth and Jeffrey were together at the opening of his hotel, the Fontainebleau, in Miami in November 2008,? a source who worked with Gwyneth at the time reveals to In Touch. ?They were VERY close.?
?This could be her worse nightmare,? says an insider close to Gwyneth. ?Gwyneth prides herself on presenting this image that she has the perfect life ? that she?s a domestic goddess with a talented husband and exceptional kids who has everything under control. Now she?s caught up in a scandal.?
Gwyneth and Jeff were extremely stealthy about seeing each other, says an insider. ?He owns Fontainebleau Aviation in Miami and has six private jets, so he was able to fly her in totally undetected whenever he wanted? Jeff would then drive Gwyneth directly to his sprawling mansion in Indian Creek.?
Not only did Jeff Soffer fly Gwyneth to Miami for the event, the source says she stayed at his $14 million mansion in nearby Indian Creek. Except for the Fontainebleau party, ?They never went out in public? but they did attend parties at private homes and would hold hands around friends.?
Adding fuel to the fire: Chris and Gwyneth?s marriage seemed to be on the rocks that year. ?They?ve been having trouble getting along for a while because they spend so much time apart,? an insider told In Touch at the time.
Gwyneth even spent the week leading up to Thanksgiving that year with Jeff ? not her husband ? according to a source close to the mogul.
?After the press caught on that she was there, she returned to London? everything had been very quiet and sneaky, but once people started talking, Gwyneth tried to keep a much lower profile.?
Jeff and Gwyneth reportedly drifted apart when Jeff started dating supermodel Elle Macpherson. ?Elle told him he couldn?t speak to Gwyneth anymore,? says the source.

In Touch goes on to hedge their bets with some ?allegedly? and ?rumors swirled? reports about Gwyneth?s history of infidelity. They claim Gwyneth banged John Hannah during Sliding Doors (that was when she was with Brad Pitt), and how she probably banged Viggo Mortensen (when she was with Ben Affleck). I?ve heard the Viggo thing so many times before, I think it?s probably true. I?m not sure about the John Hannah story. I think Gwyneth has pretty much admitted that she fooled around on Brad, but do we know for sure who the ?other man? was? Oh, I forgot ? Star Mag claimed it was John Hannah too in their Goop cover story a month ago. Damn. I might have to hate-respect Gwyneth for banging Viggo AND John Hannah. Get it, Goop. I like that version of Gwyneth much more than the pristine ice-princess shtick she?s always trying to be.

Looks like Vanity Fair doesn’t subscribe to the notion that if you’re famous, you get to dictate what the media writes about you because they’re going ahead with the article.
According to reports, the piece focuses on Paltrow’s relationship with “handsome” Miami billionaire Jeff Soffer. Soffer owns the Fontainebleau Hotel and recently married Elle Macpherson. VF writer Vanessa Grigoriadis has been asking Miami society sources whether Gwyneth had an affair with Jeff back in 2008 when he reopened the Fontainebleau. Claims one source, “He flew her in for the party and she stayed at his house.” Gasp! She slept over? Well that seals it. She totally f*cked him.
Page Six notes Hollywood hasn’t been too happy with Vanity Fair after pieces about the role of Scientology in Tom Cruise’s life and problems plaguing the shooting of Brad Pitt’sWorld War Z (which turned out to be a really decent movie).
Editor-in-chief Graydon Carter told London’s Times that Paltrow forced his hand after that email went public.”Some famous people believe that they live in a cone of celebrity that protects them,” he said. “But it doesn?t really exist anymore in LA unless they stay in.”
This almost makes me respect Vanity Fair somewhat. Everybody has a right to privacy but when you’re famous, don’t expect someone to not try and poke holes in your carefully constructed public persona you show people for the purpose of furthering your brand.

Months ago, Page Six and other outlets claimed that Vanity Fair was working on a torrid expos of Gwyneth Paltrow. At the time, many assumed the article was supposed to be about Gwyneth?s loose association with the truth and her weird Goop empire. Gwyneth ?ordered? her friends not to talk to VF in an email that was probably supposed to be kept private. She seemed to shade VF pretty hard, like appearing in VF was so beneath her (but not People Mag, I guess). Well, Graydon Carter (the editor in chief of VF) had some words about Goop several days ago:
The on-going feud between Vanity Fair and Gwyneth Paltrow is about to explode after editor-in-chief Graydon Carter declared the magazine will still run a piece on the actress despite her attempts to block it.
?We started a story on her,? editor-in-chief Graydon Carter told The Times in London. ?We have a very good writer and it?ll run.?
Carter?s admission comes five months after Page Six reported that the 40-year-old star was feuding with the mag. The actress had written an email to her famous friends in which she asked that they not speak to the magazine if contacted about her. (Paltrow, who?s not averse to a little publicity, must be really worried about the story?s contents.)

It?s like the Julian Assange/Fifth Estate thing ? this is PR 101. If Gwyneth didn?t want VF to do an article about her, she was going about it in the most half-assed, attention-seeking way possible. People keep bringing up the ?expos? VF did on Brad Pitt and World War Z ? when Brad saw the writing on the wall (that VF was going to do a story, and more importantly that he couldn?t hide the behind-the-scenes drama), his people worked with VF to buffer the story and massage the truth, and in the end, the VF piece didn?t make Brad look very bad at all. What exactly is Gwyneth Paltrow afraid of from Vanity Fair? Sources exclusively tell Page Six the glossy magazine might be digging deep into her ?friendship? with handsome Miami billionaire Jeff Soffer.
We first revealed back in June that Gwynnie had warned friends not to talk to Vanity Fair, which is working on a story about her. She e-mailed pals, ?If you are asked for quotes or comments, please decline.? VF editor in chief Graydon Carter this week told The Times of London, ?We have a very good writer and it?ll run.?
Now we?re told that researchers on the story by top VF writer Vanessa Grigoriadis have been asking Miami society sources questions about Paltrow and Soffer, who is considered Miami royalty, owns the lavish Fontainebleau Hotel and recently married Elle Macpherson.
One said, ?Vanity Fair is asking if Gwyneth had an affair with Jeff back in 2008 when he reopened the Fontainebleau. He flew her in for the party, and she stayed at his house.? Paltrow has been married to Coldplay rocker Chris Martin since 2003. They have two kids, Moses and Apple.
Paltrow ? who wore a revealing little white dress to the resort?s reopening ? sparked speculation about her relationship with Soffer after she attended a Victoria?s Secret party there and ?remained closed off in a private section with Soffer,? The Post reported at the time.
Soffer reportedly gave Paltrow a private tour of the hotel, whisking her away in his Bentley, and the following day, she joined him on his yacht with Kate Hudson.
The Post also reported at the time that Martin and Paltrow had been on the rocks for months. Her rep explained back then, ?Jeff Soffer is a friend of Gwyneth.? Neither Paltrow?s nor Soffer?s reps got back to Page Six on Thursday.
Other juicy VF topics could be Gwyneth?s epic falling out with ex-best friend Madonna, her Goop transformation and her casting-couch experiences. She told Elle, ?When I was starting out, someone suggested that we finish a meeting in the bedroom. I left. I was pretty shocked.?

I remember the Jeffrey Soffer gossip surprisingly well. It was around that time that Chris and Gwyneth seemed really rocky and like their marriage wouldn?t last through the year. Chris and Gwyneth were barely in the same country together that year, and it was very noteworthy when Gwyneth went down to peasanty Florida to spend a lot of ?private time? with a billionaire. Some people even thought Soffer would end up as Goop?s jumpoff from Chris. But is this really the biggest scandal they could dig up about Goop? An alleged affair she had five years ago? Meh.

Yay, I?m glad we finally got some of these photos of Gwyneth Paltrow. For most of the week, Goop has been in LA filming a commercial for Hugo Boss, because she?s the face of Hugo Boss these days. Boss perfumes, I believe. So far the Boss ads have not been great, but they haven?t been the worst thing either. Mostly the Boss campaigns just seem rather unimaginative. In these photos, you can see Lady Goop attempt to strut down the street whilst deigning to speak directly into the camera. She?s not wearing a bra! You can see Goop Skin!! *clutches pearls*
Here?s what I wonder though ? does Goop have it in her contract that her hair must be flat-ironed in all of her ad work? They managed to work her out of the dreaded center part, but that hair is still flat-ironed. Ugh. She?s so ?90s. So, here?s the question: does Gwyneth?s weird chest make you want to run out and buy some Hugo Boss perfume?
In other Goop news, every site was running ?Gwyneth joined Instagram? stories yesterday but I didn?t really understand why it was a big deal. She?s been on WhoSay for a while, and she?s been on Twitter for a while too, although she barely updates either. Before two days ago, she had last updated her Twitter and WhoSay pages in APRIL. She?s not the social media darling/trendsetter/icon that she thinks she is ? she?s just a wealthy woman with too much time on her hands who gets bored with peasant amusements very quickly. And last but not least, this week?s Goop is all about making gluten-free food ? you can read it here. She?s also added a $495 leather ?rider? (messenger) bag which is actually kind of gorgeous. Is it just me or is $495 not that outrageous a price for a leather designer bag? That?s about on par with Kate Spade.

You may want to sit down for this one. Not content to just send out Goopy newsletters showing off her affordable winter collection of $2,000 “off-brand” scarves, Gwyneth Paltrow has joined Instagram.
And like all things social that find their way into the hands of the olds, she hasn’t quite got the hang of it yet. Her first post was just a picture of her with fashion designer Jason Wu. Except, it’s a picture from WhoSay. So she basically took a selfie of herself and Jason Wu, put it on WhoSay, downloaded the picture off WhoSay and posted it to Instagram.
She’s like your grandma who double clicks everything on the computer and ends up opening 100 windows and calls you up because there’s apparently a virus on her computer now.

How many interviews has Mark Ruffalo given in support of Thanks for Sharing? I can?t find ANY. Mark didn?t come to last week?s premiere either, and he?s the top-billed actor of the film. Instead of getting some always-awesome Ruffalo quotes, we get Gwyneth Paltrow and her always-elite quotes. This interview is full of some interesting stuff though ? Goop sat down with Refinery29 (you can read the full piece here), and she was asked some rather blunt questions about infidelity, sex addiction and Mark Ruffalo. Here you go:
Refinery29: So, how was working with Mark Ruffalo?
Goop: ?A long time ago, Mark and I did a really classic movie together that was shockingly snubbed by the Oscars called A View From the Top. We?ve been friends for awhile, and working with him now was just as amazing as working with him then. We have good chemistry, and he?s very easy to work with. He?s a lovely man and an excellent actor. I love him.?
Your character in the movie has pet peeves, like not letting the food on her plate touch together. Do you have any personal pet peeves like that?
?No, as far as food goes, we?re a mixed food household. If the food isn?t touching on the plate, something?s wrong. I think her pet peeves were what made her so fascinating. They were an interesting manifestation of her control issues, and then subsequent eating disorder. But, as far as my personal pet peeves go, no.?
You?ve said before that you?re more interested in making films of this caliber rather than sci-fi fantasy films. Can you speak to that?
?Well, it?s not that I wasn?t interested in fantasy movies, it?s just that I often don?t get it. I?m just not into aliens or am not intelligent enough to appreciate sci-fi ? maybe I?m missing something. Don?t get me wrong, I loved doing Iron Man. Working with Robert Downey Jr. is an absolute blast! But, this kind of thing is a whole new approach, and I love the fact that this movie is about ?real? people. I think these kinds of films show off what we should all be doing: bumping up against things and getting to know other people.?
So, you?re more interested in humanizing stories then?
?If you?re looking for a metaphor, you?re always going to find them in the fantasy archetypes. But, I think a movie like this ? that is so intelligent and so original, it can really make an archetype out of the everyday. Again, I loved doing Iron Man; I love doing action movies, but I enjoy learning lessons through common-day stories. Acting becomes an extension of your own life at that point rather than a full-fledged escape into a character.?
Speaking to the movie, do you think you could you stay in a relationship with a sex addict?
?I?m an extremely open-minded person, so I think if it was something I knew I was getting myself into, I wouldn?t let it deter me from exploring the relationship.?
What about the majority of women? How do you think other women might handle it?
?I think it would be hard for me to be one of those wives who finds out there?s been something going on behind my back twenty years in. I?d imagine you?d begin to question your life. It would definitely make things harder, but I believe that if there?s authenticity and honesty right off the bat, things will be okay.?
Cheating and sex addiction are similar, but still very different. Could you stay with someone who cheated?
?I think that if the idea of being committed to someone is important to you, you begin to value certain parts of your social life over another. No couple is the same, and as such, every couple takes on different challenges. I would like to think that I would be forgiving and/or forgiven, but I can?t give an honest answer as I haven?t really experienced that.?

I?m kind of shocked that Gwyneth and her publicist let that last question go through. But that?s a good lesson for the younger actors ? even if you don?t like the question, answer it and see what happens. Because OMG!! Now, do I know FOR SURE that Chris Martin has cheated on Gwyneth? No, I don?t. But I think there?s a good possibility that he?s fooled around (with Kate Bosworth, if not more ladies). I think a lot of shady stuff happened in Chris and Goop?s marriage several years ago, ?the bad period? of their marriage that she?s referenced before. But to come out and say ?I can?t give an honest answer as I haven?t really experienced that?? She sounds like she?s in denial. And not just about Chris either ? didn?t Ben Affleck cheat on her too? And Goop might even have a literary side-piece too!

Gwyneth Paltrow talked a little about her 9-year-old daughter discovering things on the internet that she shouldn’t have. “Like 2 Girls One Cup?” Uh, no. Like innocent stuff about sex. “Oh, I haven’t heard of it either.” She explains to E! while bragging about how smart her kid is.
“She has such an incredible brain so she’ll ask me anything from what happens when our universe stops?what’s next?” Paltrow said while promoting her new dramedy about sex addiction,Thanks for Sharing. “She asks me about why bad things happen, if there’s a devil? Is God real or is it an energy?”
“She’s super-smart,” the proud mom continued. “She asked me like really big stuff.”
That doesn’t sound super-smart. That sounds super-annoying. You ever had a kid that won’t stop asking you questions? What did the five fingers say to the face. Amirite?
And then there’s the birds-and-the-bees talk.
“The Internet is causing some of these conversations to happen earlier and earlier,” Paltrow said. “She was exposed to a little something?not anything too bad, thank goodness?but by a friend who has older brothers and it’s too early. She’s only 9 and she’s an innocent 9, so we haven’t really gotten to it yet.”
Most important is keeping the lines of communication open, Paltrow said.
“I just say [to Apple], ‘There are things on the Internet that are really upsetting and even as a grownup that are too upsetting for me,’” she said. “And if she has any questions please come to me and she’ll never be in trouble but that the Internet is not safe.”

I really hope this does NOT become a conservative-versus-liberal free-for-all discussion about Obamacare. I?m just writing this story ? about a celebrity who supports Obamacare ? because it?s about a celebrity, not because of the Obamacare part. That being said, if you?d like to know my politics upfront, I do support Obamacare, although I would have supported a single-payer system even more than Obamacare, which I sometimes worry is unnecessarily bureaucratic (even though I totally support it). I should also add a conspiracy theory layer onto this story ? Pres. Obama has met with celebrities for months to get Hollywood on board with doing Obamacare promotion as the bulk of the implementation goes into effect in the coming months. Celebrities like Jennifer Hudson, Oprah, Amy Poehler, Kal Penn (who used to work for Obama), Alicia Keys, etc. And now maybe Gwyneth Paltrow too?
When Gwyneth was on the red carpet for Thanks for Sharing, Fox News asked her if she supports Obamacare. She does. Because she loves the UK?s National Health Service (which is a single-payer system).
These days Gwyneth Paltrow is just as famous for her toned body and wellness website Goop as she is for starring on the silver screen. And although the L.A-born actress now calls the United Kingdom home, she still supports ObamaCare.
?I?ve been living in London for 11 years where healthcare is the right of everyone,? Paltrow told FOX411 at Monday?s premiere of the comedy/drama ?Thanks for Sharing.? ?And I feel like the taxes that we pay, people should have the right to health care here.?
She also said there are things we can all do to be a little healthier.
?Not eating processed foods. Nothing you buy off the shelf and have to open, like Oreos,? Paltrow advised. ?Things that have a lot of ingredients in them and are processed, they are hard on the body. The body doesn?t know what to do with that stuff. Just eat fresh food. I eat French Fries and cheese, but it?s just good quality.?
The Oscar-winning actress?s character Phoebe takes obsession with healthy eating and exercise to extremes in the forthcoming ?Thanks for Sharing,? which tackles the often taboo 12-step program for sex addiction and the challenges sobriety brings.
?I learned a lot about addiction. Essentially it is a way to band-aid pain. People are looking for something to mask their pain for a minute and feel a bit better and it can take many forms,? Paltrow said. ?I learned the way out of it is to really face your pain, to sit with it and really face your emotions. Those are the first steps.?
She also expressed some concerns about the over-sexualized direction society seems to have taken.
?There?s a lot of sex, especially as a mother and having children with access to the Internet,? she said. ?It?s quite scary how accessible sex is and how it?s everywhere. It is definitely not a very innocent time.?

I mean, she was on a red carpet for a film about sex addiction. Did you expect her to bring out her charts and recite a 12-point plan for why Obamacare is a good thing? And sometimes it is just as simple as ?Health care is a right for everyone.? Of course, Goop shot herself in the foot with her little sidenote about eating healthy: ?I eat French Fries and cheese, but it?s just good quality.? Classic Goop.
