Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s tax return shows that the couple gave $6.4 million dollars to charity this past year. To put that in perspective, I once gave a hobo half of my Egg McMuffin because I was too hungover to eat it. Showbiz 411 says
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie don?t just talk the talk, they walk the walk. According to the 2008 tax return for the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, the Hollywood couple sent over $6 million to charities last year, more than [doubling] what they gave in 2007.
The biggest recipients of their largesse were: Global Health ($2 million), Human Rights Watch ($1 million), Brad?s Make it Right Foundation ($1 million).
Some other notable contributions: $500,000 to the Armed Services YMCA of the U.S. Army; $50,000 to the Springfield, Missouri Public Schools (Brad?s hometown); and roughly a million dollars to projects in Cambodia, the country from which they adopted their first child.
And for every well-intentioned Brangelina you get in Hollywood, there are a dozen more self-important asswipes that make celebritydom the societal equivalent of amoebic dysentery. Take Disney star Miley Cyrus, for example. Page Six says
When Cyrus and a friend came into the Pop Burger on East 58th Street and ordered, the counter manager asked for her name to mark the order. She snapped back, “Are you serious? You don’t recognize me? I’m Miley Cyrus.” The counterman still had no clue who she was, ran her credit card with her name on it and shrugged, “That’s nice for you. Here is your order.”
“That’s nice for you.” Fucking brilliant. Who the hell does this bitch think she is? The only reason a grown-ass man would know anything about Miley Cyrus is if he has a pre-teen daughter or is a registered sex offender with a record. Miley might want to brush up on her target demographic before she pulls the “I’m Miley Cyrus” card in public again.

They’ve always been known for their philanthropic work and according to a recent report, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were mighty generous last year.
In fact, the “Fight Club” stud and his “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” partner gave away more than $6.8 million in 2008, more than double their 2007 contributions.
Brangelina gave $2 million to Global Health, $1 million to Human Rights Watch, $1 million to Brad’s Make it Right Foundation, $500,000 to Armed Services YMCA of the US Army, $50,000 to the Springfield, Missouri Public Schools, and roughly a million dollars to projects in Cambodia.
In addition, Brad and Angelina’s Jolie-Pitt Foundation took in over $13 million overall, thanks to various donations and efforts.

Flanked by a team of staffers, Brad Pitt was spotted arriving at the Nice Airport in France on Thursday (November 19).
Still sporting his scruffy look, the “Fight Club” stud was decked out in all-black attire as he made his way through the terminal and out to an awaiting car.
The sighting comes on the heels of an announcement that Brad and partner Angelina Jolie have teamed up with luxury brand Asprey to design a limited edition line of fine jewelry.
The new offerings will be called the Protector collection, including “a selection of snake-inspired pieces made in silver, gold and precious stones.”

Stepping out for a date night on the town, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were among the stars on hand for a private viewing of The Museum of Contemporary Art’s 30th anniversary exhibition in Los Angeles on Saturday (November 14).
The “Mr and Mrs Smith” co-star couple lovingly walked along side-by-side to check out the pieces, with Angelina decked out in Armani Prive while Brad sported a studly suit.
The outing comes just as numerous rumors have been working their way around the tabloid world thanks to a new Brangelina tell-all book.
Due out on December 1, “Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie” is written by well-known author Ian Halperin, who makes numerous claims including tidbits that alleged Brad and Angelina “have broken up so many times it would make your head spin” and that Miss Jolie “has a temper like a cobra.”

He arrived in Japan earlier this week, and today (November 4) Brad Pitt premiered “Inglourious Basterds” in Tokyo.
The “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” actor looked hunky as he posed for the paparazzi at the Tokyo International Forum, sporting a black leather jacket and black knit hat.

Brad Pitt?s motorcycle accident made headlines a few weekends ago. Although there were several different versions of what exactly happened when Brad ?crashed?, the video (that was released a few days later) shows that Brad went in between a row of parked cars and a row of cars waiting at either a stop light or a stop sign. Brad clipped one of the parked car?s rearview mirrors, and he lost his balance, going down. He wasn?t hurt, his bike was scratched up, and there was very minor damage to the parked car.
While Brad was in Japan, for the Japanese premiere of Inglourious Basterds, he answered some questions about the crash. As it turns out, Brad wasn?t riding on a new bike that he was unfamiliar with - he was actually on his ?favorite? motorcycle. So, I have no explanation for his accident other than he just made a mistake, or wasn?t paying attention, or was pulling a douchey bike move:
Brad Pitt says he is in the market for a new motorcycle.
The actor, in Tokyo to promote his latest movie, “Inglourious Basterds,” said he trashed his favorite bike recently while trying to escape overzealous photographers.
“I had a little mishap,” he said. “No injuries, except my ego. I was trying to get away from some paparazzi and instead gave them a good story. It was my favorite bike, so that is really sad.”
Pitt, a well-known motorcycle buff, was involved in a minor accident in Los Angeles last month after a paparazzo reportedly cut him off in traffic. He said that while he is in Tokyo he will be looking for a replacement.
“I will definitely be looking at motorcycles,” he said. “You’ve got some of the best builders right here.”
“Inglourious Basterds,” directed by Quentin Tarantino, premiered in Tokyo on Wednesday. As a promotion gimmick, Japanese movie viewers will be given a money-back offer if they are bored after watching the first 60 minutes of the revisionist World War II swashbuckler.
Pitt said he felt lucky to be chosen as the movie’s leading man ? Tarantino had initially planned to cast himself in that part.
“We had heard about this script for about eight years before it came my way, so it had taken on a mythical dimension,” he said. “I was doubly flattered because Quentin originally wrote the part for himself.”
“Inglourious Basterds” follows a band of Jewish American soldiers, led by Tennessean Lt. Aldo Raine (Pitt), who hunt Nazis with the goal of not just killing them but scalping them and sometimes carving swastikas into their foreheads.
“What made me want to make the film is simply that I like war movies,” said Tarantino, who joined Pitt and other cast members at a news conference. “The initial idea sometimes is really as simple as wanting to make a war movie or a car chase movie. The rest goes from there.”

Brad?s beard is also making international headlines. He showed up in Japan with damn beads in the dreadlocks, and now people are wondering what the hell is up with Brad?s grooming habits. Yesterday, we explored the theory that Brad is growing it out for his role in The Lost City of Z. Now Hello Magazine has a theory that Brad might be participating in ‘No Shave November’, which they describe as ?a growing movement among young men who have vowed to not use their razor for a month?Social networking sites like Facebook have ‘No Shave November’ groups with over 10,000 members currently participating in what may become the scruffiest month of the year.? Except that Brad has been growing his junk out for months. So maybe he feels strongly about ?No Shave 2009?. There is no ring to that.

There?s lots of smaller pieces of Brad Pitt news today, so I?m putting it all together. First up, Brad is in Tokyo today. I don?t know why. He was photographed at the Tokyo airport, sporting little beads in his dreadlocked goatee. We don?t have access to the pictures, but you can see them here. As I was contemplating Brad?s goatish scruff, CB sent me a link to a story that may explain why Brad?s grooming has gone even more downhill as of late. It seems that he might be growing his junk out for the role in The Lost City of Z, in which Brad will be playing Percy Fawcett, a man who explored Brazil in the 1920s, and who got lost or something:
I’m not sure if you saw Brad Pitt a fortnight ago talking with Bill Clinton in New Orleans about his charity, he was looking pretty grizzly. Coincidently I’d been reading at the same time The Lost City of Z, a film Brad Pitt is starring as Percy Fawcett an explorer who treks through the uncharted regions of the Amazon, I couldn’t help but think perhaps some work has begun or is beginning extremely soon on the project. Pitt is rocking a pretty good Fawcett beard.
The film, based on David Grann’s novel, has been scripted and will also be directed by James Gray (We Own the Night, Two Lovers) but really no news has been given as to when the project is shooting. It was meant to start around Summer (June, July, August) this year but it seems no word has arisen that shooting has started. So check out the photo below of Pitt and Fawcett, let me know if you agree. Maybe they’ve just done some costume tests either way I doubt Pitt is looking that way because of the pressure Angelina puts on him (that was what the latest tabloids Down Under are claiming).

Eh. If this is true, the film is probably getting pushed up because Brad?s last film, Moneyball, was only in production for about a week before that artsy-fartsy junk had its financing pulled. Brad has a gap in his schedule, thus every one of his future film projects is getting pushed up. Personally, I doubt this story. I don?t think The Lost City of Z is going to go into production any time soon. My guess is that Brad?s just growing out his goatee for fun.

He’s no stranger to international travel, and earlier today (November 3) Brad Pitt was spotted landing in Tokyo, Japan.
The “Fight Club” stud made his way through Narita International Airport wearing aviator sunglasses and a knit cap, practically fooling his waiting fans with his disguise.
Over the weekend, Brad and his partner Angelina Jolie treated their kids to some sweet Halloween trick or treat action in Los Angeles.
Brad dressed up as DJ Lance Rock from Nickelodeon’s “Yo Gabba Gabba!” while Ang went as the walking dead in a corpse-like getup.

Because it?s a slow gossip day, let?s enjoy looking at some new Brad Pitt pictures. Brad was hanging out in Studio City, California yesterday, fresh off of his weekend motorcycle accident. Brad?s so monochromatic. I told you guys! After I saw pictures of Suri Cruise all in red, I knew monochromatic would be making a comeback, and here we are. Brad in shades of gray. I think he looks pretty hot, but I want to note two things. First, I think Brad carries his wallet in his front pocket (note the square bulge in his front pocket)? probably so we can see his cute ass. Secondly, he?s not wearing a newsboy cap! Instead, he?s wearing some kind of ? fedora? Is he Dick Tracy? Is he investigating The Case of the Missing Newsboy Cap?
As for his scruff, I actually think he trimmed it. It was looking totally wild a few weeks ago, and it looks more controlled now. I find that for most women, it doesn?t even matter about the guy, they already know if they like scruff or beards or goatees or whatever. I know that I?m completely open to it. The first guy I ever loved had a very fussy little goatee, and since then, I?ve always loved facial hair. While I wish Brad would really trim the front part of his beard, I like the scruff generally.
Back to Brad?s weekend accident. While the initial reports had a paparazzo maybe causing the accident, Radar put up a compelling video of the incident, and I can say in good faith that the accident was entirely Brad?s own fault. He was trying to ride between a row of parked cars and a row of cars waiting at a stop light. He clips one of the parked cars, and he goes down. He looks pretty dumb doing it too. So what was with all of the reporting that a paparazzo cut him off or whatever? Weird. It seems after that little incident, Brad has upgraded to a Camaro SS (photos of the car here and here). The Camaro looks pretty bitchin?. If we were living in 1976. Or whenever Dick Tracy lived!

Looking to be in good shape despite his weekend run-in, Brad Pitt was spotted making his way around Studio City, California on Monday afternoon (October 26).
The “Babel” hunk offered up a big grin as he passed by awaiting paparazzi, heading into a local building to tend to business matters.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Pitt was in a motorcycle fender bender on Saturday - during which time he ended up “getting hit Pitt from behind by a paparazzo, which caused him to hit a car in front him, lose his balance and fall.”
The 45-year-old told worried onlookers that he was “fine” as his new bike was hauled off by a truck before undergoing repairs.
