Liquid Diet? Rumor: Angelina is on a liquid diet that has caused her to shed so much weight that she recently passed out on a film set. Truth: “Angie is very happy and healthy,” says a source close to the actress. False
Adopting again? Rumor: Angelina and Brad are adding to their family, this time adopting in the Philippines. Truth: Another non-starter, fresh on the heels of erroneous reports the couple were adopting in India. False
Pregnant? Rumor: Brad and Angelina are expecting another child. Truth: Their twins, Viv and Knox don’t turn 1 until July. False

Another tabloid, another Brangelina split story. This one centers on a trip Brad Pitt took to France last week. Brad flew to Marseilles alone, leaving Angelina and the kids in New York. In Touch Weekly even has a quote from an airport employee, ?What could he be doing in France that?s so important that he couldn?t be with his kids?? Thank you, humble airport employee, for chiming in. Now I?m wondering if every airport employee thinks it?s somehow sketchy when someone is flying alone. Like, ?Why is that man carrying a briefcase and flying to Chicago? Doesn?t he have children??
So, why was Brad flying alone? According to In Touch, the formal reason was to check on renovations to their castle. Of course. That?s the excuse I always use. Nevermind that they?re only renting the French castle, so Brad doesn?t really have the right to make renovations. Why ruin a good cover story?
But of course, Brad really left town because he ?needed time away? from Angelina. You see, things haven?t been great between Angelina and Brad. The tabloids know this because ?the couple hasn?t been seen together publicly since February 25?. Because that?s how it works in tabloid-ville. If you haven?t been photographed together for a few weeks, then you?re splitting up.
After having a heated argument with Angelina Jolie shortly before Easter, Brad flew thousands of miles away to Marseilles - alone.
?What could he be doing in France that?s so important that he couldn?t be with his kids?? airport employee Marie LeGrand, who spotted Brad on April 9, tells In Touch.
According to a friends, Brad?s excuse to Angelina was that he needed to check on renovations being done at Chateau Miraval, their $70 million mansion near Aix-en-Provence. But privately, Brad confided to the friend that he needed space ?and time away from her.?
As In Touch has reports, Brad, 45, and Angelina, 33, are fighting so much that they aren?t even sleeping in the same bed. And the couple hasn?t been seen together publicly since February 25, when they took their kids to see The Lion King in New York City. ?That must be very confusing for the children,? Dr. Gilda Carle, author of the new e-book 99 Prescriptions for Fidelity tells In Touch. ?All of this instability is unhealthy. They need to see their parents together.?
Brad is becoming more disconnected from Angie every day. She?s been busy filming Salt in New York, but in the rare moments she is home, ?She scream nonstop at him,? a pal reveals.
Brad resents her because he?s been playing Mr. Mom to Maddox, 7, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, Shiloh, 2, and twins Vivenne and Knox, 9 months, for the last six weeks. ?He?s absolutely burned out,? his close friend explains. ?And he?s tired of picking up the slack for Angelina.? But Dr. Gilda says that running away is never the answer: ?They have to communicate their feelings? before it?s too late.

One of my biggest peeves about tabloid reporting, and for that matter, the ?medical? community, is the habit of bringing in a ?doctor? to chime in about what?s wrong with a celebrity they haven?t treated. It?s unethical for the doctor, and perverse and cheap for the tabloid. And did anyone else pick out the flaw in this good doctor?s logic? Dr. Gilda Carle says about Angelina and Brad not being photographed together, ?That must be very confusing for the children… All of this instability is unhealthy. They need to see their parents together.? So, if Brad and Angelina aren?t photographed together by paparazzi, their kids must not be seeing them together anywhere. A-plus, Dr. Gilda, you moron.
Obviously, this isn?t the first time the tabloids have all joined together to declare an end to Brangelina. The biggest pile-on was the summer of 2007, when every tabloid was declaring the couple were splitsville. As it turned out, they were fine. Is the split actually the case this time? My opinion is no, but I?m sure a lot of people will buy into it hook, line and stinker.

There?s a lot of tabloid news about Brangelina today, excuses, excuses. This one?s cute though - Brad is acting like Mr. Mom in the Long Island suburbs while Angelina works on Salt. He drives the kids to school and hangs out at Shiloh?s preschool. The moms are having a little freak-out with all of the Brad Pitt sightings - a local source told OK! that the moms are now dressing up to drop off their kids, in the hopes of running into Brad. The sources says, ?Brad drives the kids to school, so the moms have started dressing up to drop their kids off… They usually wear sweatpants, but now they?re all decked out.?
As for hanging with Shiloh at her preschool, Brad does that because apparently, Shiloh freaks out if Brad leaves her. The Long Island moms are also trolling the Dunkin Donuts where Brad was recently spotted with his two oldest boys. OK! has

Take this story for what it is - another trashy report from a tabloid. The original source is Now Magazine, courtesy of Showbiz Spy. Now Magazine was one of the sites running with the story of Angelina Jolie?s ?collapse? on the set of Salt, which ended up being denied by a representative of Sony. Just saying, it?s not like the gospel.
The latest rumor is that Angelina has asked Brad if he would allow an open relationship. The proof? Angelina ?has never been a traditional kind of girl, especially when it comes to romance.? I?ll buy that. Another piece of evidence? ?Brad was attracted to her unconventional behavior initially, at his core he’s a traditional guy.? I?ll buy that too. But how to get from there to ?Oh my God, Brad is pissed at Angelina because she wants to sex up other men!?? Showbiz Spy has more:

Oh, to be a Jolie-Pitt child. To travel the world and eat pizza all the time. To be photographed constantly, and to know that when you get older, you?ll be working for the global empire of your sister, the Empress Zahara. It?s a blessing and a curse. But in the meantime, there are some perks. Like living in a Long Island mansion and making trips to the local Dunkin Donuts with your dad, Brad Pitt.
So it was Wednesday morning, when Brad took his two oldest boys, Maddox and Pax to get some breakfast. Star Magazine has the scoop on this total non-story, but it?s still cute. The boys were too short to see the whole doughnut collection, so Brad lifted each boy up individually to pick out there one doughnut. Both boys decided on a classic - chocolate glazed. Star doesn?t have the scoop on whether Brad got some doughnuts to go, but they do mention that he was double-fisting the coffee. Ah, to be a father of six.
The Jolie-Pitt family loves to eat fast food, so it’s surprise that Brad Pitt took his sons Maddox and Pax to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast on Wednesday.
According to an eyewitness, Brad brought his two oldest sons to a Dunkin Donuts in Oyster Bay, New York around 8am for an early morning treat.
“He looked just like a regular guy who was out with his kids,” a customer told Star. “He seemed really comfortable being there and not having to look over his shoulder.”
The Jolie-Pitt family has been staying on Long Island while mom Angelina shoots the film Salt in Manhattan.
A scruffy looking Brad allowed each tot to select a treat. “He picked up each kid so they could look at all of the choices. After a moment Brad asked each child, ‘What would you like?’ They both opted for a chocolate glazed donut,” the customer said, adding “I thought it was really sweet how he picked up each boy individually to pick a donut they wanted.”
Brad also ordered a medium regular coffee and a medium cappuccino. After Maddox and Pax got their donuts, they said, “Thanks, Daddy.” The boys were “so well behaved,” says the witness.
“While Brad was waiting he was giggling with the kids and he looked like he was having a good time. He was smiling non-stop. You can tell the boys really love him.”

I love Dunkin Donuts, but the one in my town has become really run down, so I don?t go there anymore, for fear of getting shot. There used to be a Krispy Kreme in town, but for some reason, it closed down. Which was too bad, because Krispy Kreme doughnuts are far superior to the DD. But Dunkin?s got the better coffee, so I can understand why Brad was double-fisting it. But what about Zahara and Shiloh? Don?t the girls deserve a doughnut treat as well? I do not care for this doughnut misogyny!

Brangelina will be saying ?bonjour? to the South of France for the third year in a row. Quentin Tarantino?s WWII film Inglourious Basterds has been accepted at the Cannes Film Festival, and the film will be appearing in competition for the Palm d?Or (like, Best Picture of the festival). Brad Pitt is expected to show up to shill the film, most likely with Angelina there to hold his hand. People has more:

The star’s WWII action film, the intentionally misspelled Inglourious Basterds [sic], has been invited to this year’s May 13-24 Cannes Film Festival, and the film’s director, Quentin Tarantino, has not only accepted the call, Variety reports, he’s agreed to allow the picture into competition.
The trade paper further reports that Tarantino has promised the Weinstein Company and Universal that his Dirty Dozen-style adventure about Jewish-American commandos battling Nazis will be ready in May. The movie is scheduled to open to the public Aug. 21.
A Cannes premiere ? and possible prize ? helps launch word of mouth. Basterds will mark Tarantino’s fifth time out in Cannes ? but only his second time at vying for the fest’s top prize, the Palme d’Or. His Pulp Fiction took that one in 1994.
In recent years, Pitt has become a regular at the world’s largest film festival. After turns for Troy and Ocean’s 13, he appeared on last year’s red carpet alongside partner Angelina Jolie who was there in support of her movies Changeling and Kung Fu Panda.

They seem to want to make the film into a late summer blockbuster. It might work… both Pitt and Tarantino have devoted followings and the film?s supposed to be really, really violent. Yesterday, I shared my theory about the angle the tabloids have when reporting on Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. My theory is that the stories get worse when Angelina is working, as a way to ?punish? a working mother. Some disagreed, some thought there was some validity. The tabloid covers this week only seem to validate it, though.
Brangelina isn?t the top cover story on Star Magazine this week, but they?re the sidebar story - talking about how The Brange has already split. OK! Magazine?s cover takes a more pragmatic approach. Their cover is called ?Brad?s marriage ultimatum?. The basic gist is that Brad is, at this point, a ?single parent? and that if Angelina wants more babies, Brad wants Angie to put a ring on it.
Superstar parents Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are the world?s most glamorous couple ? but one thing has been missing from their seemingly perfect lives: A marriage certificate.
Now a friend of the pair tells OK! that Brad, 45, has issued Angie, 33, an ultimatum: ?Brad?s told her, ?Marry me, or it?s over.? ?

Yesterday, we reported on The Daily Mail’s story that Angelina Jolie is thin, tired and insular on the set of Salt, and that she and Brad are having problems. The Mail is at it again today, this time drawing a story that originated in Grazia, a magazine that literally makes stuff up out of thin air.
According to The Mail (who is using Grazia?s story), Angelina and Brad had a huge fight over Brad?s drinking. Allegedly, Angelina came home from work one night and found Brad ?relaxing with beer and DVDs in their bedroom while their six children caused chaos downstairs.? Holed up with Heineken and porn, probably. That?s my guess.
The whole Brad-is-an-alcoholic angle is a sad, tabloid remnant from the incident in Germany a few months ago, where Brad was walking around the red carpet with a beer in hand. Many claimed that ?when in Germany, drink as the Germans.? But the tabloids had some great stories.
Angelina Jolie’s relationship with Brad Pitt had hit a rocky patch after the couple had an explosive row, it was reported today.
The exhausted actress returned home from a long day filming her new movie Salt to find Brad relaxing with beer and DVDs in their bedroom while their six children caused chaos downstairs.
Brad’s behaviour triggered the second big argument between the couple over the last few weeks, with friends worrying for the couple’s future. Sources close to the couple say they had their biggest row yet when Angelina found Brad sleeping while nannies struggled to care for their large brood.
A friend close to the actress told Grazia magazine: ‘Angelina was completely and utterly exhausted, so when she came home after a hard day’s work and found Brad had apparently done nothing all day except watch DVDs, she was livid.
‘She went upstairs and shook Brad awake. He was like a bear with a sore head and kept telling her to leave him alone.’
Insiders on her new film Salt said the actress has been withdrawn on set and has been spotted deep in conversation with her brother James Haven in between takes.
The parents-of-six haven’t been photographed together since they completed their awards circuit with the Oscars in late February. Over the last few weeks, Angelina has been putting in gruelling hours on the set of spy thriller Salt, while Brad has been looking after their children.
Her long hours meant she often spends the night at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Manhattan, instead of making the 50 mile drive back to their 40million mansion on Long Island’s Gold Coast.
A friend tell Grazia: ‘Angelina’s put up a wall between them and shut down emotionally.’
Angelina complained last year the couple barely had any time to spend together because of parenting their six children. She said: ‘Mummy and daddy need to try to figure out more time; we?re working on it. Right now, we?re not great about mummy-and-daddy time.’

Oh my God, they haven?t been photographed together for a month! What will we do? Scandal! I actually have a theory about this kind of coverage, and I?ll be happy to share it. I?ve noticed that the ?Brangelina is breaking up? stories always seem to come hot and heavy when Angelina is working and Brad?s looking after the kids, but not when Brad?s working and Angelina?s looking after the kids. I tend to think there?s an anti-feminist angle to it, that the prudish tabloids are ?punishing? a woman who is a working mother. But, hey, that?s just my theory.

Star Magazine is doubling down on it?s cover story from two weeks ago - the hilarious one about Brad Pitt sexing up the nanny and Angelina slapping him in a fit of nanny-hating rage. They takes their own story as fact and now claim that ever since the nanny incident, Brad and Angelina have been sleeping apart. This week?s cover has Angelina looking pissy at Brad with the words ?DON?T TOUCH ME? written in-between them. It?s hysterical.
Poor Brad is counting sheep in sleeping bags with the kids, and he tells their children that Mommy?s just working late. He says this because in Star?s reality, ?she banned him from their bedroom.? Brad doesn?t want to face Angelina?s ?cold fury every night? and she has been seeing ?a familiar face? during her troubled time:

What kind of fictitious couple would Natalie Portman and Brad Pitt make? She seems… dare I say… too young for the 45-year-old actor. She?s 27 years old (she turns 28 in June), but looks and acts younger to me. Anyway, Brad and Natalie will be playing lovers in the just-announced film Artifacts, based on the Leanne Shapton book Important Artifacts and Personal Property from the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion, and Jewelry. Both Natalie and Brad will produce as well as star. Variety has more:
Paramount Pictures has attached Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman to star in a film based on the new Leanne Shapton book “Important Artifacts and Personal Property from the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion, and Jewelry.” The book was just published by Farrar Straus & Giroux.
Paramount won an auction for the book rights Tuesday night, with Pitt’s Plan B producing with Portman’s Handsomecharlie Films banner. Portman brought the book to Pitt, whose company is Par-based.
The book takes the form of Sotheby’s-like estate auction catalog, with 325 entries and photographs depicting items that reveal the private moments and the rise and fall of a four-year relationship between the fictitious couple Hal Morris (a 40ish photographer) and Lenore Doolan, (a New York Times food columnist in her late 20s).
The project will be developed as a romantic comedy, with Pitt to play Morris, and Portman to play Doolan.
Shapton, an illustrator and art director of the NYT’s Op-Ed page, uses items that range from clothes to notes, e-mails and heirlooms to convey the excitement, the hopes and dreams, and ultimately the heartache of a love affair that runs its course.
CAA brokered the deal.
Pitt, who’ll next be seen starring in the Quentin Tarantino-directed “Inglourious Basterds” and the Terence Malick-directed “The Tree of Life,” is expected to next star in the Steven Soderbergh-directed “Moneyball.” It’s the latest high-profile lit buy for his Plan B, which has James Gray writing to direct an adaptation of the just-published David Grann book “The Lost City of Z.” Earlier this week, Par acquired the John Le Carre novel “The Night Manager” for Pitt to produce.
Portman will next be seen in the Jim Sheridan-directed drama “Brothers.”

If the book was just published, and Paramount just won the rights, there?s a good chance the screenplay adaptation won?t be ready for months, maybe even a year. Reading a description of it, I?d say that it will be a difficult translation into film. But still, I bet the book is an interesting read.
I?m really wondering about the potential chemistry between Natalie and Brad. I realize I just said it, but she just seems so young and girlish. Next to her, Brad will look so much older. Like when Catherine Zeta-Jones first hooked up with Michael Douglas. That kind of ?Oh my God, he?s dating his daughter!? nonsense. I wish Brad would stick to female co-stars in their 30s and 40s. Maybe he could do another film with Cate Blanchett!
