Shortly after celebrating her 31st birthday, Jessica Alba was spotted strolling along the streets of New York City on Monday afternoon (May 7).
The "Honest Company" founder looked chic as she rocked black tights under a tribal print dress adorned with black booties, while she sipped on a warm beverage and chatted with a friend.
In personal news, the 31-year-old actress took to her blog page and opened up about keeping her relationship alive with hubby Cash Warren despite a busy household and raising their two daughters, Honor and Haven.
In her post, Miss Alba describes her chaotic lifestyle by explaining, "Diapers are a certainty. Sleepless nights, coffee, and concealer (lots of it) are probably guaranteed too. Having time to see a movie or enjoy a glass of wine by yourself -- let alone with your husband -- before your kids head off to college? I know -- it feels like an impossibility or a far-off dream."
Even though the statement above definitely sounds like a hefty task, the "Sin City" actress says it can be done with organization, adding, "Maintaining a family schedule is the key to making time for each other. Whether we?re settling into the couch to watch bad reality television or getting a babysitter so we can enjoy a date night out, we always know we have dedicated time after the girls are asleep to catch up, discuss what?s on our minds, and simply just be with each other..."

Kicking off another day of work, Jessica Alba was spotted at the Honest offices in Santa Monica this morning (April 27).
The ?Good Luck Chuck? chick looked fashionable in a pastel-hued getup as she made her way through the parking lot.
Ms. Alba recently returned from a family vacation to Japan and Korea where she did plenty of shopping and sightseeing.
Meanwhile, Jessica?s Honest company has really taken off. She told press, ''It's been a labor of love that's taken over three years to develop, but I'm on cloud nine now that it's here. And I test everything on my own kids (it has to work!). Now I have a shampoo and conditioner that work on Honor's fine, curly hair. And I have adorable diapers for Haven (one of my favorite designs is the skull and crossbones) and they never leak.?

Showing some love to her Japanese fans, Jessica Alba was spotted at the grand opening of the Tommy Hilfiger Omotesando Flagship Store in Tokyo today (April 16).
Joined by her husband Cash Warren as well as Tommy and Dee Hilfiger, the ?Fantastic Four? actress was all smiles as she hammed it up for the local paparazzi.
In a newly-released interview, Jessica confessed that having her second child Haven helped her relax her parental neuroticism a bit.
Alba explained, "I feel like most of my irrational, overprotective and weary new mom behavior evolved into a more easygoing, laid-back approach with my second child. I've never been a true 'helicopter mom', but I've definitely stayed awake for endless hours doing research on everything I could do wrong as a parent... I really wanted to create the perfect environment for my daughters to excel and grow but with Honor I found that I often made more mistakes trying not to make any mistakes."
"I try not to let every cough or bump on the head freak me out because Honor made it through infancy in one piece and I trust Haven will too. This calm attitude has definitely made adjusting to life with two kids easier and more fun. No matter how prepared you are, you're always going to make mistakes - it's human. I try not to stress about it anymore. I let it go and move on to more important things, like savoring every moment I have with my precious little girls."

Getting another busy day underway, Jessica Alba was spotted making a quick stop at a Beverly Hills Coffee Bean on Wednesday (April 11).
The "Spy Kids" actress wore a cute black hat, black leather boots and a floral spring dress with a black blazer as she proceeded to get her caffeine fix ahead of the day's agenda.
The outing comes as Miss Alba has recently decided to do something special for National Poetry Month by joining more than a dozen other celebrity parents to participate in poetry readings that will air on the Disney and Disney Junior channels this month.
The mother of two dove into her Hispanic heritage by selecting a Mexican folk song, "De Colores" (meaning "Of Colors"), for her segment - which will air a number of times on both channels, with one of the time slots being April 29 at 6:55am EDT on the Disney Channel.
Alba has said this project is "just a really great way to introduce kids to poetry," including those too young to read and is also a form of, "genius of 'edu-tainment,' a new word I've been introduced to since I've become a mother," defining the word as "tricking your kids into learning."
The 30-year-old has her own collection of poetry but admits that, through the years, her writing has changed, saying, "I have a lot of teen angst on paper, now I just kind of make up songs for my girls. I have little poems that I sing to them before they go to sleep, to the tune of 'Twinkle Twinkle (Little Star)."

I’m a little disappointed in these shots of Jessica Alba, she was doing so well with her amazing spandex booty the other day, so why would she go back to her boring mom costumes? Kind of a let down. Not that she looks rotten or anything, she’s Jessica Alba after all, but I was hoping
