Stepping out for a good cause, Jessica Alba was spotted at the Covenant House California Awards Dinner in Los Angeles last night (June 9).
The ?Good Luck Chuck? babe posed with iconic director James Cameron and his wife Suzy (of whom she presented an award) during the ?A Magical Night of Hope?- themed shindig at the Skirball Cultural Center.
Jessica joined the effort to raise money to help homeless youth in California get off the streets and turn their lives around.
Earlier this week, the preggers star was back on the East Coast for the CFDA Awards, preceded by her hubby Cash Warren?s 10-year reunion at Yale University.

Keeping up on her routine beauty schedule, Jessica Alba was spotted leaving a nail salon in Beverly Hills, CA on Thursday (June 9).
The ?Machete? mama looked preggers pretty in flared jeans, a loose-fitting striped tank and black blazer as she made her way past the paparazzi to her car.
On the career front, Miss Alba has stepped up as the new face of Piaget - which is a Swiss luxury jewelry brand.
Taking over for Sienna Miller, Jessica told press, ?The great thing about these pieces is how chic and simple they are. It's [jewelry] that you can hang on to and pass down. This is something I would want my daughter to have later in life."

Stepping out to celebrate the special occasion, Jessica Alba and 3-year-old birthday girl Honor were spotted leaving their downtown Manhattan hotel earlier today (June 7).
The casually-clad momma-to-be was all smiles as she and Honor, who was dressed head-to-toe in princess attire, checked out of their posh overnight pad to get on with the day's fun festivities.
Jessica, being the proud parent she is, has been busy at work on her too-adorable tot's birthday for some time now.
As for just what today's celebratory activities will entail is unknown, however, one thing is for sure, as Alba told press, ?She likes playing dress-up, so there?s definitely going to be a playing dress-up element to it.?

Here are some photos from last night?s CFDA Awards (where Lady Gaga was named a ?Fashion Icon?). Jessica Alba was in attendance, of course, because she doesn?t have much going on and she fancies herself a fashion girl. She jacked some color tips from Cheryl Cole for this Diane Von Furstenberg gown. Is this the new color scheme and no one told me? Bright purple and orange, co-existing together in one outfit. Good to know. In any case, considering the maternity dress doesn?t look like Pepto-Bismol vomit, I?m going to give Alba a fashion pass. Yeah, this color scheme is very ?Jack Nicholson as The Joker?. But the real style fail is Alba?s hair. Very few women can really make this tightly-slicked back, ?instant facelift? hairstyle work. On Alba, it looks wonky. She has such pretty hair - why not just style it around her face?
Next up: Lucy Liu, over-dressing in Monique Lhuillier. Most ladies were wearing cocktail dresses, but there were a few gowns. But basically it was just Gaga and Liu who decided to wear giant show-stopping dresses. Gaga?s excuse was that she was being named a fashion icon. Liu doesn?t have an excuse. She just decided to wear a ball gown to a cocktail party.
Here?s Naomi Watts in Calvin Klein. I love the dress? on Naomi. On someone else, it might have looked like an unfashionable sack. You have to be slender and blonde to make this sack look good, I think.
And finally, Kelly Bensimon wearing God knows what. She really has no idea how to keep it covered up. She looks like Steven Tyler.

Stepping out for a swanky evening, Jessica Alba was spotted at the 2011 CFDA Awards in New York City tonight (June 6).
The ?Awake? actress strolled up to Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center looking preggers, cool, and confident as she threw down a few poses.
The CFDA Fashion Awards is one of the biggest events of the industry, featuring the top names in fashion design and Tinseltown?s hottest stars.
CFDA executive director Steven Kolb told press, ?There is no other event that puts the spotlight on American fashion like The CFDA Fashion Awards. We look forward to once again honoring the best and brightest talent working today. Winning a CFDA Fashion Award is the highest and one of the most coveted honors one can receive in our industry. Enjoying some time on the East Coast, Jessica Alba was seen catching a train at Penn Station in New York City today (June 3).
The ?Good Luck Chuck? babe, along with her husband Cash Warren and daughter Honor Marie, is on her way to New Haven, Connecticut for Cash?s 10-year college reunion at Yale University.
Mr. Warren graduated from Yale back in 2001, and he?s got quite the arm candy to show off at the weekend festivities.
Jessica wrote on her Facebook page, ?On way to NYC and Connecticut with the family. Love spending time together although Cash is bothering me already? ha! Yale reunion this weekend. Excited to live vicariously through all those Ivy Leaguers with fancy degrees.?

Taking care of her parental duties, Jessica Alba was spotted picking up her daughter Honor from her school yesterday afternoon (May 26).
The preggers ?Machete? actress held her little girl?s hand as they made their way back to the car in Santa Monica while nearby shutterbugs looked on.
Alba was recently in Washington DC for the Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families Coalition, though she was preoccupied with planning Honor?s third birthday party.
She told press, ?I?ve been planning [her birthday party] from here. She likes playing dress-up, so there?s definitely going to be a playing dress-up element to it.?

Although she’s undeniably beautiful, Jessica Alba has always revealed herself to be a rather dimwitted piece of work whose “acting” leaves much to be desired. Most recently and after years of substandard performances and less than impressive box-office pull, Alba decided to diss screenwriters by claiming that good actors don’t use the script unless it’s just phenomenal writing; she then attempted to blame her own failures as an atress on first-time directors. It’s not like Alba never had any say in what scripts she approved and/or decided to actually follow as a “good” actress, right? Anyway, Dame Alba has completed a great portion of her second pregnancy and, as such, has decided to dispense some pregnancy advice to fellow expectant mothers. Surprisingly, she doesn’t sound like a complete idiot here either:
Jessica Alba has some unique advice for other expectant moms.
The 30-year-old actress recommends “hypnobirthing classes” — which are increasingly popular among pregnant women. Hypnobirthing involves the use of hypnosis during childbirth.
“It’s different for everyone, although I do recommend the hypnobirthing classes.” Alba told Us Weekly on Monday at the RIMOWA store opening in Beverly Hills. “I highly recommend it. It just makes you chill.”
The actress wasn’t quite so “chill” before the birth of daughter Honor Marie, 2: “I was freaked out going into it my first time going into labor. Like what if I panic? What if I just freak out and I don’t know what to do?”
So is the second pregnancy easier for Alba? “Oh yeah! But a little bit harder on the body because my daughter still wants to be picked up. Ever since my belly popped, she really is on me!”

The initial response to most things that come out of Alba’s mouth is to initially discount them. Even I find myself skeptical although I’ve been through one childbirth experience, but a good friend of mine has been through the hypnobirthing classes and insists that they actually do help in easing both the pain associated with childbirth and the actual process itself. In fact, a 2006 NYT article makes a pretty good case for using the “subconscious mind” as a means to relaxing the initial stages of labor. So is Alba crazy, or does she have an actual point? Let’s hear it, bitches.

Returning home after enjoying a lux vacation down south, Jessica Alba and daughter Honor Marie arrived on a flight at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday night (May 14).
Back from a sunny Cabo San Lucas getaway, the expecting actress was fresh-faced as she made her way through the airport in a Pink scarf, gray t-shirt, and baggy beige pants.
Prior to her out of town excursion, the momma-to-be opened up about pregnancy the second time around, telling Us Weekly, "It's just simply not as daunting of a process. Before everything was happening for the first time and it's like, 'What's going on?' and 'What does this mean?'"
Miss Alba continued, "I would look everything up online, I had all my books; I diagnosed myself with everything that can go wrong. Of course nothing went wrong, thank God! I guess I'm sort of more at ease with it all."
