Lori Loughlin was released from federal prison a few days after Christmas, and a few days shy of her full two-month sentence. I like that they didn?t release her for Christmas, and I love that she had to serve almost her full sentence. Considering Lori spent her entire prison sentence giving melodramatic updates to People Magazine, why would anything change once she was released? Days after she got out, ?sources? told People that Lori had a ?tearful reunion? with her two daughters, and that this is ?the end of a very long ordeal.? Lori ?seems beyond relieved that she can put her prison sentence behind her. Its the most stressful thing she has ever dealt with.? Apparently, she?s already thinking about getting back to work too:
Although Lori Loughlins focus is on her husband right now, she hopes to be able to return to work in the future. The Full House alum, 56, was released from a federal correctional facility in Dublin, California, on Monday morning after finishing her sentence for her involvement in the nationwide college admissions scandal. Her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, meanwhile, is still serving his five-month sentence.
?Lori is still in the moment of enjoying being back at home,? a source tells PEOPLE. ?The next big focus is of course to have Mossimo back home. No one can visit him in prison, because of COVID. He stays in touch with his family via phone calls. It seems Lori will put everything on hold until Mossimo is home. She isnt really thinking about anything else.?
?She previously expressed that she would love to act again at some point,? adds the insider. ?She always loved her career. She loves filming and creating movies. The only focus right now though is to reunite with Mossimo.?
[From People]
I always thought that the difference between how Felicity Huffman handled her criminal situation versus how Lori handled hers would be the biggest indicator of both ladies? ability to ?come back.? Felicity pleaded guilty, did a big mea culpa, seemed deeply humbled by the scandal, did her time quietly and didn?t beg to come back right away. So Felicity was ?rewarded? with a chance to come back. Lori spent the past year and a half whining to People Magazine, lying about the crimes she committed and trying to Karen her way out of facing any consequences. So? I don?t think Lori will be welcomed back to the Hallmark Channel with open arms. But who knows maybe all of Lori?s sh-t actually worked.

In late October, Lori Loughlin checked into federal prison early, with the hope that perhaps she would get an early release with her two-month prison sentence and she would have a chance to be home by Christmas. It did not work out that way. The prison only released Lori after she completed her entire two months sentence. No early release for her well, maybe by two days? which is good news because she actually deserved more than two months. Anyway, she has been released.
?Full House? actor Lori Loughlin was released from prison Monday after spending two months behind bars for paying half a million dollars in bribes to get her two daughters into college.
Loughlin was released from the federal lockup in Dublin, California, where she had been serving her sentence for her role in the college admissions bribery scheme, the federal Bureau of Prisons said. Her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, is serving his five-month sentence at a prison in Lompoc near Santa Barbara, California.
Loughlin and Giannulli were both initially supposed to report to prison on Nov. 19, but prosecutors and defense attorneys agreed Loughlin could start her sentence on Oct. 30. Loughlin also agreed that she would not seek early release on coronavirus-

It is absolutely WILD to me that Lori Loughlin uses her prison phone privileges to call up her publicist. This is the second time in two weeks where a story has been released to one of the major gossip outlets which include quotes from a ?source? who must be Lori Loughlin. She?s been trying to narrate her entirely self-made criminal ordeal this whole time, mostly through People Magazine. I just figured that once she was actually locked up, we wouldn?t get the fking weekly updates on How Is Poor Faith-Based Lori Loughlin? After previously telling her publicist that she was a ?wreck? her first few days in prison, Lori wants us to know that she hasn?t had any problems so far.
Lori Loughlin is adjusting to her life behind bars. The Full House star, 56, reported to prison on October 30 to serve a two-month sentence for her role in last years high-profile college admissions scandal. She is housed at FCI-Dublin in northern California. Almost three weeks into her sentence, a source who has spoken with her tells PEOPLE that she is adjusting to the daily prison routine.
She has not had any specific problems, the source tells PEOPLE. No one has tried any s with her. No one is bullying her. The guards aren?t treating her any differently than other inmates.
Still, the source says, there has been an adjustment period.
?She was a little weepy on her first night there, the source says. But she pulled herself together quickly. Now she?s resolved to finish her sentence with her head held high.
Loughlin has resolved to use her time behind bars to better herself, according to the source.
She is using this time to focus on herself, but she?s also interested in hearing the stories of the other inmates, says the source. She realizes she?s no better and no worse than any of them. She feels like once this is over, she can return to real life: wiser, humbler, and better.
[From People]
I am laughing my ass off at that last line. ?She feels like once this is over, she can return to real life: wiser, humbler, and better.? Lori isn?t merely narrating her own criminal ordeal, she?s got a fking Hallmark Channel screenwriter ghost-writing her thoughts. As many have pointed out, this whole thing does have the feel of a Hallmark Channel movie someone perky and white gets thrown into a photogenic, low-security prison with tennis courts, and she learns life lessons from sassy, attractive prisoners, and then she reunites with her family on Christmas Eve.

Lori Loughlin went checked into federal prison last Friday, not even a week ago (although it feels like it was three months ago). She checked in early, her sentence wasn?t supposed to start until mid-November, I think, but she wanted to go early with the hope that she might be released in time for Christmas. She did not go kicking and screaming, but she made sure to leak some sympathetic quotes to People Magazine about how brave and amazing she is for, like, going to prison for two months for committing tons of federal crimes. Now she?s calling her publicist from prison and Lori wants people to know that she?s a g-ddamn wreck! Girl, you?re in a low-security federal prison with TENNIS COURTS.
Lori Loughlin has been a ?wreck? in lockup at a California federal prison, where she?s serving time for her role in the nationwide college cheating scandal, according to a report. The ?Full House? star, 56, is apparently daunted by the just under two months she has left to serve at the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, US Weekly reported.
?Lori really went into prison strong, she had her faith and the support of her family, but the first few days and road ahead are daunting,? the insider said.
A second source added that the sitcom star has been a ?wreck? behind bars.
?Lori tried her best to be brave and look at the end result but there was nothing that could dissipate her fears,? the source told the outlet.
?It?s only two months but she?s dreading it. Her mind keeps telling her that something will go horribly wrong in prison or that her stay could be prolonged.?
The actress surrendered on Oct. 30 to the correctional facility in Dublin, just over five hours north of her Hidden Hills mansion.

?Her mind keeps telling her that something will go horribly wrong in prison or that her stay could be prolonged.? What? This isn?t Oz! She?s not going to have to shank someone in the yard. How is it that Lori is sending out all of these melodramatic updates? My God. I mean, I?ll be fair? I don?t think any prison is a walk in the park. I?m sure every prison stay is an awful experience. But this bitch acts like she?s being chained up in Alcatraz, or like her only option is to tunnel her way out of Shawshank.

On Friday, Lori Loughlin checked into federal prison much like one would check into an off-brand rehab facility sure, she got to choose her own prison, but she still would have preferred to stay in her mansion, drinking mojitos. Before she headed to prison, Lori did one last ?woe is me? story in People Magazine, where she basically made herself sound like the bravest person in the world for, you know, taking a plea deal after committing a dozen federal crimes. Lori actually checked in early, because she hopes to be out by Christmas.
Lori Loughlin has reported to prison to serve a two-month sentence for her role in last years high-profile college admissions scandal. PEOPLE confirms that the Full House star, 56, will serve her time at FCI-Dublin in northern California. She was booked on Friday morning.
A legal source close to the actress tells PEOPLE she had the option to report to prison by November 19, but she decided to go early so she could be released by the end of the year.
She hopes to be home by Christmas, but she?ll definitely be home by New Year?s, the source says. She had everything in order, so she decided a couple of days ago to report to prison. She can put this behind her as she goes into 2021.
On May 22, Loughlin admitted to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, while husband Mossimo Giannulli pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and one count of honest services wire and mail fraud. The couple was caught up in the college admissions scandal in which more than 50 parents allegedly bribed their wealthy childrens way into prestigious universities.
As she enters prison, Loughlin is facing her sentence with resolve. She is going to set her jaw and do her time, the source told PEOPLE earlier this week. Of course she?s dreading it, but she?s resigned that it?s the way to get this behind her. She?s already thinking about how 2021 will be better for her, and she?ll be able to move forward.
There?s some humility there that people didn?t see before, the insider continues. She?s going to learn what she can from the experience, and hopefully become an even better person from this. She?s open to learn the lessons that she needs to learn.
[From People]
Let?s be real, she?ll totally be out by Christmas. They let Felicity Huffman go before her sentence was completed too. California lets non-violent offenders (and some violent offenders) get early releases all the time. Lori might even be home by Thanksgiving.
In her low-security prison, she?ll have a job assignment clerical work, cooking, baking, food prep, dishwashing or general cleaning. Which would you choose? I would probably do dishwashing? There are also sports offered, from basketball, volleyball, tennis, etc. And the prison offers wellness classes, crafts and more. Lori is also under Covid protocols, which means regular testing and likely NO visitors.

| Lori Loughlin: 'I went along with a plan to give my daughters an unfair advantage' | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

On Friday, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli appeared in a Boston federal courthouse virtually for their sentencing. Both had agreed to plea deals in May, with Mossimo agreeing to a deal which would have him spending five months in prison, and Lori agreeing to two months in prison. The sentencing hearing on Friday was just for the judge to agree to the deal worked out by federal prosecutors, and that?s just what the judge did. As we discussed Friday, Mossimo and Lori apparently did not submit any letters of support nor did they offer written apologies for their part in the fraudulent scheme to get their daughters accepted (under false pretense) into USC. Lori did offer an apology ?in court? though:
A contrite Lori Loughlin addressed the court on Friday as she was sentenced to two months in federal prison for her role in the high-profile college admissions cheating scandal.
I made an awful decision, she told the judge after she was sentenced. I went along with a plan to give my daughters an unfair advantage in the college admissions process. In doing so, I ignored my intuition and allowed myself to be swayed from my moral compass. I thought I was acting out of love for my children, but in reality it only undermined and diminished my daughters? abilities and accomplishments.?
Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, were charged in 2019 with one count each of conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery, in addition to charges of money laundering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and honest services mail and wire fraud. On May 22, Loughlin, 55, confessed to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, while Giannulli, 57, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and one count of honest services wire and mail fraud. In addition to her jail time, she will serve 2 years of probation, pay a $150,000 fine and complete 150 hours of community service.
As she addressed the court, Loughlin acknowledged that her already-privileged children received additional help that was not available to other applicants.
More broadly and more importantly, I now understand that my decision helped exacerbate existing inequalities in society, generally, and the higher education system, more specifically. That realization weighs heavily on me and while I wish I could go back and do things differently, I can only take responsibility and move forward. I have great faith in God and I believe in redemption. And I will do everything in my power to redeem myself and use this experience as a catalyst to do good and give back for the rest of my life. Your Honor, I?m truly, deeply and profoundly sorry and I?m ready to accept the consequences and make amends, she concluded. Thank you for your time.
[From People]
I mean, we were going to nitpick anything she said, just as we did with Felicity Huffman?s statement to the court when she was being sentenced. Felicity?s statement was kind of reprehensible, do you remember that? She went on and on about how her daughters have learning disabilities, like that somehow justified lying and cheating and scamming the system. In comparison, Lori avoided making it sound like she had to do what she did because of her poor vapid daughters. Instead, Lori actually makes herself sound so passive ?I went along with a plan to give my daughters an unfair advantage?? Lying B.

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli are going to be sentenced today. Previously, they had only worked out a plea deal with federal prosecutors, all part of Operation Varsity Blues, and dozens of parents scheming and scamming their kids? way into college. Lori and Mossimo were two of the worst offenders, and they were also two of the parents who refused a plea deal the longest. Lori was still running to People Magazine on a weekly basis to simper about how faith-based she is up until the point where she just accepted the plea offer. And now a judge has to formalize it:
Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, are set to be sentenced Friday for their role in the widespread college-admissions scandal, bringing their made-for-TV saga to a close. The celebrity couple will appear via videoconference in Boston federal court, where US District Judge Nathaniel Gorton will decide whether to accept a plea deal the duo struck with prosecutors in May.
They admitted to paying $500,000 to scam mastermind William ?Rick? Singer in order to get daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose accepted into the school as crew recruits ? even though neither girl was a rower. Under their plea agreement, Loughlin, 55, would be sentenced to two months behind bars, while Giannulli, 56, would get five months. She?s also agreed to pay a $150,000 fine and perform 100 hours of community service. Her husband would pay a $250,000 fine with 250 hours of community service.
Unlike most plea agreements ? where the judge is free to decide on the sentence ? the couples? proposed prison terms are binding if the deal is accepted. If the judge doesn?t accept the terms, the whole deal would be void.
Loughlin was ?feeling nervous? on Thursday, ahead of her sentencing, though also ready for the ordeal to end, a source told Us Weekly. She and her hubby are ?anxious,? but ?looking forward to closing this chapter of their lives,? the source said. Unlike other prominent parents charged in the scheme, they also did not submit letters expressing their regret or notes of support from family and friends to the court.
[From Page Six]
That?s funny that they didn?t submit notes of support OR express regret. Felicity Huffman was a wreck when she pleaded guilty and she submitted tons of letters of support. I wonder if Lori?s friends have mostly abandoned her. Maybe for her ?notes of support,? she can just submit all of those stupid People Magazine covers she organized to fluff up her image.
Meanwhile, the sentencing is happening in the same week that additional details have come out about Olivia Jade?s complicity in the fraud. Olivia was CC?d on at least one email between her parents and Rick Singer, and she was coached on what to say (and what not to say) to her high school college counsellor so he wouldn?t catch on to the fraud. Which? I mean, we always knew that Olivia Jade and the other daughter were actively involved in the fraud. They were lying their asses off and posing for fake rowing photos and all of that. The news here is that prosecutors totally knew that Olivia was in it up to her eyeballs.

| Lori Loughlin sold her Bel Air mansion for $11 million under asking price | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Back in January, we learned that Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli had put their big Bel Air mansion on the market. I thought it was one small victory for the good guys neither Lori or Mossimo has any money coming in right now, and Lori was fired from all of her jobs (the Hallmark Channel, etc) last year. While I have no doubt that they have money saved, they also spent a year playing legal shenanigans with the federal government, and I would guess that Lori and Mossimo have HUGE legal bills. All in all, they were looking to downsize and sell what was probably the biggest piece of their portfolio, their mansion. Well, they finally sold it. For $11 million UNDER ASKING PRICE.
Full House star Lori Loughlin has reportedly sold her Bel-Air mansion to the co-founder of Tinder in the wake of entering a guilty plea in the college admissions scandal that shocked the nation. The contemporary Mediterranean mansion, which Loughlin owned with husband Mossimo Giannulli, boasts six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and a pool across a regal 12,000 square feet. The couple originally bought the property overlooking the Bel-Air Country Club for $13.9 million in June 2015 and unsuccessfully tried to flip it for $30 million in 2017 following extensive renovations.
The sale price to Justin Mateen came in at well under the $29 million asking price. James McClain, the Variety reporter who first broke the story, pegged the figure at $18 million. That would mean a significant loss for Loughlin and her husband. Per the outlet: ?Should that closing price prove correct, it would likely represent a brutal loss for Loughlin and Giannulli, who paid $14 million for the house in June 2015. They subsequently spent another fortune renovating and upgrading every inch of the .69-acre, golf course-fronting property in a casually contemporary style. When taxes, maintenance costs and hefty realtor fees are considered, any remaining chance of profit would almost certainly be wiped out.?
[From House Beautiful]
Wow! It sounds like they would have preferred to wait until they were in a seller?s market and not in the middle of a pandemic, but they must have needed the money, any money, right now. Or else why sell for $11 million under asking? Why else would they lose money on the biggest piece of their portfolio? Something tells me that Lori and Mossimo have probably been living beyond their means for years. So where did they get the hundreds of thousands of dollars to bribe officials into getting their daughters into college?

It?s bonkers to me that in this very moment of upheaval from a global pandemic, a massive racial justice movement and a national conversation about race, privilege and white fragility, we?re talking about Lori Loughlin and how she got kicked out of her country club. I mean, it?s all part of the same conversation, isn?t it? Black Lives Matter protesters are saying ?I can?t breathe? and ?stop killing us,? and rich white people are worried about their status at the country club because they were caught doing massive crimes. So, here it is: Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli resigned from their country club after they were suspended. Ugh, I hate ALL of this.
Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have resigned from the exclusive Bel-Air Country Club in the midst of the college admissions scandal. Loughlin, 55, and Giannulli, 57, voluntarily resigned much to the disappointment of many of the members and the board, a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE.
An insider says the pair have lost friends ever since the college scandal unfolded, adding, People have been very critical about their actions. The backlash has been intense. They have been members of the country club for many years. Their current house even overlooks the golf course. Many of their friends are members as well.
The country clubs Board of Directors had unanimously voted to suspend the couples membership but that it would be lifted after they serve their time, according to TMZ, which obtained a copy of former club president Michael Gallaghers letter in response to the decision.
This unprecedented board decision to allow felons to continue as members causes irreparable reputational harm to the Club and its members, wrote Gallagher, who said the move would make the club a laughingstock.
The board action, taken on behalf of the Clubs membership, now establishes our Club as a place of refuge and comfort for known felons, he wrote. This matter is already well known in the golfing world, domestically and internationally, and our Club has become a laughingstock.
The insider tells PEOPLE that Loughlin and Giannulli were upset about leaving the club but felt like they had no choice.
The club has been an important part of their social life for a long time. They didn?t want to resign, but also felt they didn?t want to be a part of drama and hostility, the insider says. They were upset about it, but felt like they had no choice. They didn?t feel welcomed.
[From People]
This is just idiotic at all levels. Does Michael Gallagher think he?s making some kind of bold stand? I bet tons of ex-felons have been part of the country club it?s just that the ex-felons were white dudes who took part in financial crimes which maimed the American economy. And as always, I would be very curious to hear how many people of color (not to mention how many Jewish people) the Bel Air Country Club even had as members. But sure, let?s feel bad for Lori and Mossimo. The poor cabbages were suspended! And then they resigned because they didn?t feel welcome in this privileged, elite, white safe space!

Last Friday, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli appeared (via video link) in a federal court in Boston to plead guilty to a few of the charges in the Operation Varsity Blues case. Lori and Mossimo were the two most high-profile parents who refused to take a proffered plea deal last year. Lori seemed convinced that she could simply leak wholesome stories to People Magazine and magically convince people that she was completely innocent. It looks like federal prosecutors went to Lori and Mossimo again and offered them another plea deal. They took it this time. So this is the deal they worked out, complete with sentencing recommendations from the DOJ:
More than a year after rejecting a plea deal from federal prosecutors, actress Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, appeared before a federal judge via video conference Friday to plead guilty to charges stemming from the college admissions cheating scandal. However, the judge said he couldnt accept the pleas until he sees their pre-sentencing reports from the Massachusetts Probation Service.
Loughlin, 55, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud while Giannulli, 56, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud. The couple were the 23rd and 24th parents to admit guilt in the college admissions scandal. During Fridays hearing, Loughlin rocked side-to-side, occasionally speaking with her lawyer and looking out the window.
Under the terms of the plea agreements, Loughlin will serve two months behind bars and Giannulli agreed to serve five months. The judge scheduled the sentencing hearing for the couple for Aug. 21. In addition, Loughlin was ordered to pay a $150,000 fine and was placed on two years of supervised release with 100 hours of community service. Giannulli has to pay a $250,000 fine. He, too, will be on two years of supervised release and must complete 250 hours of community service.
Prosecutors dismissed charges of money laundering and federal programs bribery that were added after the case was initially filed. Had they gone to trial and been convicted, each faced up to 20 years in prison for each charge against them.
[From People]
People Magazine spoke to someone in Lori?s camp about why they finally decided to make a deal, and that source said: This was a now or never deal. It was presented as the last clear chance for them to plead before going to trial, and they knew that if they were found guilty, they were realistically looking at more than a year behind bars, probably more like three or four. I mean, if convicted of just some of the charges, they would have actually faced 10 or 20 years in prison. I would have taken the deal too. Of course, I would never cheat the system to get a kid into college, so there?s that too. As for the sentencing hearing, which isn?t until August, I would hope that all of that means that Lori and Mossimo will actually serve their full sentences and not be released in a matter of days because of the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, People Mag also did a sympathetic piece on Lori?s scamming daughters Olivia Jade and Bella:
A legal insider tells PEOPLE that their daughters Olivia Jade, 20, and Bella, 21, are behind their parents decision. I know that the girls have been very supportive of their parents throughout this whole ordeal and just want them to be happy, the insider says. They realize that this was done to help them, and there is no animosity there. Last I knew, they were encouraging their parents to fight this, but obviously that?s all changed now.
A second source confirms that the whole family is on the same page. Olivia and Bella also want it to be over. They agree the plea is the best option, the source explains. Lori and Mossimo want to be able to enjoy their lives again. They want to enjoy it with Olivia and Bella. They don?t feel like they gave up by accepting a plea ? they are doing what?s best for their family.?
[From People]
LOL, why would Olivia and Bella have animosity towards their parents at all? Why even bring that up? The whole family worked together to scam USC?s college admissions process and only Lori and Mossimo were charged. GMAFB.
