Praise the Oscar Gods, Brangelina is back in LA!! HUZZAH. Finally, some proper Oscar campaigning for 12 Years a Slave at long last. Do you realize how long it?s been since we?ve seen Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on a red carpet together? It was last summer, for World War Z. Do you know how long it?s been since they?ve done an awards season together? Not since early 2012. Too long.
(And, incidentally, this is the beginning of what should be an exciting year in Brangelina-watching: not only do we get 12 Years a Slave Oscar campaigning, but we?ll also get lots of Brangelina for the Maleficent promotion in a few months!)
So, I guess Angelina finally wrapped on Unbroken. That took a really long time, but to be fair to her, it?s a WWII drama with lots of location sets and period costumes and you have to get that stuff right. Brad and Angelina attended the wrap party earlier this week ? there were some great photos floating around, which you can see here.
It?s nice seeing the kids here too. The very idea of traveling with six small children makes me break out in an anxiety rash, but they seem to manage pretty well. Pax with his kickass aviator shades and security toy (a purple bear?), Shiloh looking every bit the badass tomboy (her hair looks amazing), Vivienne looking every bit the girly-girl in her dress-leggings combo, Knox and Zahara holding hands, and of course Maddox with his buds in, trying to ignore his uncool family.
PS? Angelina travels in bold green shawls and flip-flops?! I love it.

I?m about to do a big ?Hot Guys of the Grammys? post, but I just wanted to write this up quickly because it?s as much a part of our Grammy coverage as anything else that happened last night. In the middle of the Grammys, Disney dropped a bombshell new teaser for Maleficent that kicked my ass. There?s a lot of Angelina Jolie. There?s a lot of Maleficent Cheekbones. There?s a lot of green smoke of DOOM. And there?s a really creepy/surprisingly amazing version of the Sleeping Beauty song ?Once Upon a Dream? covered by Lana del Rey. I love everything about this!!!!
This is scary-good, right? The first two trailers made me queasy, because I worried that Angelina would come off as cheesy or that Disney would try to make Maleficent into some kind of antihero. Maleficent should be evil, and camp and genuinely scary too, so this trailer is excellent. As for Lana del Rey doing ?Once Upon a Dream? ? according to The Daily Mail?s sources, Angelina hand-picked Lana. A source told The Mail:
?Angelina has been incredibly active in all aspects of the movie, even bagging a role for her daughter Vivienne, so it?s no surprise that she helped choose who would sing the song. Angelina and the film?s producers think Lana is perfect to breathe new life into an old classic.?

If Angelina did suggest Lana, then good for her. I?m sure Lana was pleased about it too. I?m not a crazy fan of Lana at all, but I jam to ?Blue Jeans? and ?Young and Beautiful? sometimes, and her voice really works for this song. It?s appropriately haunting and scary.

Oooh, Maleficent has a new trailer! And unlike the first teaser trailer, we actually get a really good look at Angelina?s Maleficent cheekbones and her Green Smoke of Doom. Here?s the thing: Maleficent is actually a pretty terrifying villainess, even in the original Disney cartoon. I?m worried that Disney is going to pull their punches a little bit in this new era of ?not scaring children? and that Maleficent is going to end up a secretly nice villainess. Is that what this trailer is showing? Or are they just trying to get children in the theater, and then they?re going to scare the pants off them?
I wish they would have ended it with Maleficent?s laugh, which is what they did with the first teaser. But I do appreciate a real glimpse of The Villainess Maleficent kicking ass and throwing her smoke around. Villainess Realness! Anyway, this is the first film from Angelina (where she?s been in front of the camera) since 2010. It?s been a really long time and I hope she starts working more as an actress.
Here are some photos of Brad Pitt arriving at LAX last night. I guess he?s going to be at the SAG Awards tonight. And I guess Angelina will not be with him, which is too bad. She’s probably knee-deep in work in Australia.

Over the weekend, Angelina Jolie and the kids were spotted boarding a private plane in Sydney. It was thought that she and the kids would be meeting Brad Pitt somewhere, and perhaps spending Christmas in one of their most beloved cities. I was thinking? maybe somewhere in Vietnam or Cambodia. But as it turns out, Brad and Angelina met up in Australia after all ? they were seen on a boat, enjoying the Coomera River in Queensland, Australia ? you can see the pics here. On Sunday, they were in Robina (a suburb in Queensland) doing some Christmas shopping at a? TARGET!!!
The world’s most famous celebrity couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who are collectively worth more than $300 million, took their six children Christmas shopping at the department store in Robina, late on Sunday. They were also seen walking on the beach and cruising the waters between Brisbane and the northern Gold Coast.
The camera-shy celebrities convinced the Robina Town Centre store to open after hours to avoid dealing with crowds of gawking fans. But the couple were outed yesterday by Target chief executive Stuart Machin who used Twitter to thank the family for their business.
“Team at our Target Robina store are thrilled that Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their children shopped at Target today,” he tweeted.
One Target employee, who declined to be named, said she was shocked to hear the Pitt-Jolie clan had shopped at her store.
“They made sure no one was around to blow their cover,” she said. “The store manager waited until everyone had gone home and opened it up secretly for them at 7.30pm on Sunday. She said they shopped for around an hour and a half to buy presents for their children and friends. Who would have thought people like them would do their shopping at Target?”
Oscar-winning actor Angelina Jolie, 38, has been busily preparing for Christmas before she heads to a private villa she has rented with her family on Hamilton Island.
The family has been staying on the Gold Coast while Jolie directs a war drama, Unbroken.
Five-time MotoGP world champion Mick Doohan declined to comment on speculation the family were renting out his Coomera Mansion.

This is far from the first time that Angelina or Brad has spent time in a ?down-market? establishment. They just go to whatever store is convenient, I think ? they?ll shop at discount party supply stores or budget arts and crafts establishments, they?ll do the drive-through of McDonalds or take the kids to a pizza chain and then follow it up with a trip to Toys R Us. They might drop tens of millions on real estate, but on a daily basis, I tend to think they live a pretty middle-class lifestyle. Brad and Angelina are a weirdly complimentary couple that way ? I get the feeling that Angelina doesn?t like a lot of muss and fuss, and she could travel for months with only one suitcase. And Brad has that whole salt-of-the-earth mid-Western values, knowing the value of a dollar sort of thing going on. That being said… I prefer Kohl’s. Kohl’s is way better than Target.

She?s busy enough with a bustling movie career and an active family life, and now Angelina Jolie may have to appear in court as part of a lawsuit between her ?Mr. and Mrs. Smith? stunt double Eunice Huthart and News Corp.
Huthart claims her former employer intercepted her voicemail messages and she?s pushing to have her case heard in the State of California.
She explained, "Some of Plaintiff?s potential witnesses who are involved with her and/or [Huthart's company] Pump Fitness, such as Ms. Jolie, are located in California."
Eunice claims that she became close friends with Jolie and is actually the godparent to one of her children, so when News Corp began bugging celebrity mobile phones, they tapped into her own account and listened to voicemails that contained information about Angelina and Brad Pitt.
Furthermore, according to Huthart?s attorneys, News Corp?s interception of her messages damaged "her professional reputation within the California-based television and film industry. Because she did not receive messages, her professional reliability was compromised, and because confidential information from messages on her voicemail was published, her discretion and trustworthiness were compromised."

I can?t wait to see what the tabloids do with the story. ?Angelina Jolie Homewrecks FAA!? Or: ?Angelina Jolie Declared Too Thin To Fly!? Or perhaps: ?Brad Abandons Angelina, Angelina Put On Terrorist Watch List!? Something like that. The basic story is that Angelina forgot to renew the registration on her fancy Cirrus plane, so now she can?t fly it. But I think Angelina owns several planes, and she still has her pilot?s license in America and England anyway, so couldn?t she just borrow someone else?s plane?
Angelina Jolie has been banned from flying her personal plane after she failed to renew its registration in time.
According to FAA documents, the 38-year-old movie star did not file a new airworthiness certificate for her $360,000 red-and-white Cirrus SR-22 before the current certificate expired June 30.
A renewal application was sent to the agency by Jolie?s team for the plane, one of the world?s fastest single-engine aircraft, but we?re told it didn?t arrive on time.
An FAA letter to Jolie?s Chivan Productions, sent at the beginning of September, said the certificate could not be renewed because the application was too late.
Despite this, flight records allegedly show the plane was flown in Montana in October. The documents don?t indicate who piloted it, but show it was flown without a valid certificate.
Jolie has previously been spotted taking Brad Pitt and their kids Shiloh, Maddox, Pax, Zahara and their twins, Vivienne and Knox, in the jet ? which can reach 300 miles per hour and can deploy a parachute to land the entire plane safely.

Yes, this story is only really interesting because it?s about Angelina Jolie. This is the normal-person equivalent of realizing too late that your driver?s license expired and you have to make the trek down to the DMV. No one is going to tell Page Six about that mess! That?s really all it is! It?s just fancier because it?s a plane and it?s Angelina Jolie who has the registration. That being said… it does sound like Angelina was flying her plane illegally, maybe. It was either Angelina or someone else. Ah, governmental red tape and celebrity gossip.

She?s an avid aviator, but Angelina Jolie won?t be flying the friendly skies anytime soon due to an order from the Federal Aviation Administration.
According to a report, the ?Girl, Interrupted? actress failed to renew the registration for her personal plane in a timely manner and therefore has been grounded.
The aircraft?s ?airworthiness? certificate lapsed back in June and despite a letter from Jolie?s team the FAA denied the late application.
As such, Angelina?s $360,000 Cirrus SR-22 will remain in its hangar until a new inspection can be conducted.
Jolie previously told press, "When Maddox was one and a half, we used to go to the airfield have lunch, and watch the planes. And it dawned on me: I could fly. So I promised him I would fly by his second birthday."
"It's the only place I'm completely alone -- up in the air, detached from everything. I love that I can just go anywhere, have that freedom."

A few days ago, Brad Pitt was in Sydney, Australia and Angelina Jolie was able to take some time off from work, and they took the kids out on a yacht on the Sydney Harbor. You can see the photos here ? the yacht is called Ghost, and the kids seemed to be having a ball on Ghost, posing for their dad and he snapped photos of everyone. If you look through those photos, it looks like Angelina is fussing at someone (Shiloh, probably, because that kid just seems like a little hellraiser, just like her mom).
We didn?t have access to those photos, but we do have these new photos ? Angelina out and about in Sydney with? let?s see? Shiloh, Zahara, Knox and Vivienne. I don?t know where the older boys were ? they?re probably at that age where their mom and their younger siblings are totally NOT COOL. Angelina took the kids to LegoLand, Berkelow Books and then the group went to Bondi Beach for some grocery shopping, according to the photo agency. A few things about these photos:
*It?s crazy to me how much Knox looks like a little Shiloh, or Shiloh looks like a bigger Knox. They have the same haircut and it looks like Knox wears Shiloh?s cast-offs!
*I think Shiloh?s haircut looks a lot like what Jennifer Lawrence is rocking these days. Right?
*Shiloh?s Chucks = amazing.
*Vivienne is such a little princess with her long blonde hair and her ?Mama didn?t let me wear Pink today!!? expression.
*Vivienne isn?t allowed to have shoelaces?
*Zahara is so gorgeous. But look at how Shiloh has gotten so much taller than Z! Z is always going to be petite, isn?t she? Z?s more than a year older than Shiloh and by the time they?re adults, I bet Shiloh towers over Z by more than seven inches.
*I am an adult woman and I always want to wear whatever Zahara is wearing. Take note, people. We?re going to be wearing a lot of Pink shorts, fuchsia-and-animal-print high-tops and white t-shirts with heart-shape prints.
*Is Angelina wearing a bra? I think she is. The pants are fine but that grey tank is awful. She?s also developed a real problem with those baby-wedges.

With the whole brood in tow, Angelina Jolie headed out for a fun Saturday in Sydney, Australia (December 7).
The "Tomb Raider" star wore a gray tank top and black pants as she and Shiloh, Vivienne, Zahara, and Knox headed to Berkelouw book store in Rose Bay and the Red Rocket toy store.
Just the day before, the 38-year-old actress was hard at work directing her new film Down Under, "Unbroken."
Finishing up a week of filming, Angelina was happy to have a visit on set from her 12-year-old son, Maddox.

Tomorrow (November 28) folks all over the USA will bake turkeys, whip up mashed potatoes, and crank open cans of cranberry sauce in celebration of Thanksgiving, but Angelina Jolie won?t be one of them.
The ?Mr. and Mrs. Smith? star will spend the holiday with her six kids (Pax, Maddox, Shiloh, Knox, Vivienne, and Zahara) in Sydney, Australia where she?s been working hard on her new project ?Unbroken.?
And while Turkey Day is traditionally a family holiday, proud grandfather (Jolie?s dad) Jon Voigt is bummed he won?t get to see his grandkids.
He told press, "My grandchildren are just terrific. Angie's working on her film and directing her film in Australia, so I won't be able to see them this holiday."
