Tomorrow (November 28) folks all over the USA will bake turkeys, whip up mashed potatoes, and crank open cans of cranberry sauce in celebration of Thanksgiving, but Angelina Jolie won?t be one of them.
The ?Mr. and Mrs. Smith? star will spend the holiday with her six kids (Pax, Maddox, Shiloh, Knox, Vivienne, and Zahara) in Sydney, Australia where she?s been working hard on her new project ?Unbroken.?
And while Turkey Day is traditionally a family holiday, proud grandfather (Jolie?s dad) Jon Voigt is bummed he won?t get to see his grandkids.
He told press, "My grandchildren are just terrific. Angie's working on her film and directing her film in Australia, so I won't be able to see them this holiday."

| Did Angelina Jolie buy Brad Pitt a $20 million heart-shaped island for his b-day? | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Have you ever heard of Petra Island? I had not before now. Petra Island is apparently a piece of private property about 50 miles away from Manhattan, in the middle of Lake Lake Mahopac. The island is shaped like a heart and the island is home to a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed family home. The island/home went on the market about a year ago at a cost of $20 million ? you can see some photos of the property and the interior here. Well, I don?t know if the island has been sitting around all this time or what, but the UK papers claim that Angelina recently purchased the island as a 50th birthday present for Brad:
Their love for one another has never been in doubt, but Angelina Jolie has apparently reinforced the depth of her feelings for Brad Pitt by buying him his very own heart shaped island. The actress has reportedly paid 12.2 million for secluded Petra as Brad prepares to celebrate his 50th birthday on December 18.
Angelina is understood to have snapped up the island, located some 50-miles away from New York City, after discovering its two sprawling properties were designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, Brad?s favourite architect.
A source told The Mirror: ?As soon as Angelina heard the island was on the market she arranged a viewing. She was really impressed. The house is perfect for romantic getaways or as a family retreat. It?s very private. And Angelina knows the fact the island is in the shape of a heart will mean so much to him.?
Petra?s original cottage was erected in 1950, while its larger property was built from one of Wright?s blueprints in 2008 ? 48-years after his death. The home boasts panoramic views of the surrounding area, ceilings panelled with the finest mahogany and skylights that afford the property plenty of natural lighting.
Its spacious kitchen effortlessly juxtaposes new and old, combining conventional fixtures and fittings with highly distinctive work surfaces chiselled out of granite.
An open porch, complete with a carved wooden bench, gives the owner breath-taking views of the surrounding area, while beneath the building?s stone foundations disappear into the water.
The finer details of its intricate design will not be lost on architecture fan Brad, who once admitted that Frank Lloyd Wright ?changed his life.?
Angelina has previously treated him to a tour of the late architect?s home, Fallingwater, in 2006.
?He was incredibly well informed about the architecture,? recalled Cara Armstrong, Fallingwater?s Curator of Education. ?Experiencing Fallingwater in person, hearing the waterfall cascade under the house, was better than anything he imagined.?
[From The Daily Mail]
I remember when she took him on a private tour of Falling Water back in 2006. I remember thinking, ?What a thoughtful gift from Angelina.? I think she must be a really great gift-giver. Reportedly, she also bought Brad a waterfall too, but was that ever confirmed? And there were reports that Brad bought Angelina a plane this year too. I?m still hoping that Brad gives her a lot of jewelry, just because? please! I want someone to get Taylor-Burton level jewelry. As for this island? I want this to happen. I think it?s a perfect gift for Brad. Unfortunately, the island’s owners are telling Page Six that Angelina has not made an offer. What are you waiting for, Angie? This is the perfect gift!

| Angelina Jolie takes Vivienne & Knox out to eat in Sydney: lovely & cute? | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Lady with the cake box: you?re killing me! Get out of the way! Don?t you realize that Angelina Jolie and two of her children are walking behind you? What?s funny is that I don?t think that lady is any way associated with Angelina. Like, she?s not a bodyguard, assistant, handler or nanny. It?s just some woman walking on the sidewalk and Angelina just happens to be walking behind her. Update: apparently, the Cake Box Lady is Holly Goline, Angelina’s long-time assistant? I’ve seen photos of Holly, and that doesn’t look like Holly to me, but whatever. Sure, it’s Holly.
Anyway, these are some new pics of Angelina, Vivienne and Knox in Sydney on Sunday. You can see some better shots from the outing here at The Mail. Angelina was hugging and kissing Viv and Knox and it was very sweet. Angelina is still in drab all-black (this is like ?Morticia goes to sunny Sydney? at this point), but it?s her thing and I can?t hate her for it. I wear a lot of black too. She?s still not wearing a bra, which many claim is because of her reconstructive work. Apparently, doctors recommend that women NOT wear bras for a while? Sure.
As for Knox and Viv ? so cute. I really do think that Knox is going to look so much like Brad as he grows up and Viv is just the prettiest little thing. Does anyone else love that Vivienne is carrying a black doll? So many parents (of all races) have such strong feelings about the skin color of dolls. I kind of doubt that Angelina was trying to make some kind of ?statement? with Vivienne?s doll ? it?s far more likely that Viv picked out the doll that she wanted and Angelina (or Brad) just got it for her, right?
PS? I hate Angelina?s baby-wedge shoes.

| Angelina Jolie: First Day Filming 'Unbroken' in Sydney | Added 11 years ago | Source: Celebrity Gossip |

|
Getting started in a new location, Angelina Jolie directed scenes for her forthcoming film ?Unbroken? in Sydney, Australia on Thursday (November 21).
Despite her impeccable fashion sense, the ?Mr. and Mrs. Smith? star opted for a plain black long-sleeved dress to avoid drawing too much attention away from her project.
Jolie has really poured herself into ?Unbroken,? the chronicle of the life of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner who was taken prisoner by Japanese forces during World War II.
Slated to hit theaters on December 25, 2014, the movie features stars like Domhnall Gleeson, Garrett Hedlund, Jai Courtney, and Alex Russell.

| Angelina Jolie wears a modest black frock while directing in Sydney: chic or grim? | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie directing Unbroken in Sydney, Australia yesterday. Is this her director style? Does Angelina Jolie like to direct in a modest and flattering black dress with a sleek ponytail? Does she always wear a simple black leather Hermes watch (I think that?s what it is) and her gigantic engagement ring? I like her directing style. It?s flattering, cute and professional. I also think it?s cute that she?s in the middle of a group of men, barking out her orders. Yay, female directors!
The Australian newspapers seem somewhat obsessed with the fact that Angelina and her brood are in their country, filming a World War II movie. So they?ve been cataloging her every move, which is why I know that Angelina was filming on Pitt Street in Sydney yesterday! That?s pretty cool. I wonder if they have a Jolie Street too. Maybe Jolie Boulevard. Apparently, the filming shut down some of the busy streets in Sydney, but it doesn?t seem like it was a huge deal ? the Aussies seemed excited to see all of the period costumes and 1940s cars. Plus, Angelina has hired a lot of Aussie extras.
I’m assuming Angelina flew back to Sydney right after accepting her Humanitarian Oscar last Saturday. It’s good to be La Jolie! It’s also a great time to be a Brangeloonie.

| Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt's Miraval rosé wine was named 'the best rosé in the world' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Earlier this year, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt announced a seemingly small side project (and I suspect it was more Brad than Angelina): a special Chateau Miraval wine described as a ?2012 vintage Pink ros?. The wine was labeled ?Bottled by Jolie-Pitt and Perrin.? The wine went up for sale and it sold out in FIVE HOURS. Because Brangeloonies are a force to be reckoned with. For what it?s worth, all of the fancy wine critics said that ros was really good. And it seems like the critics were right: the Miraval wine just won a huge international wine award!
Watch out wine world! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie just added another award to their growing mantel filled with Oscars, Golden Globes and SAG Awards — only this time, the honor is for wine.
The dynamic duo’s Chateau Miraval Ros 2012 was ranked number 84 among Wine Spectator?s Top 100 Wines of the Year, making it the “best Ros in the world,” according to a new press release. Back in March when the wine was first released, all 6,000 bottles sold out within five hours.
Although Jolie, 38, and fiance Pitt, 49, may have helped boost sales with their celebrity, wine experts seem to agree that the Hollywood super-couple can toast to their good taste. Wine Spectator Managing Editor Kim Marcus called the ros “Refined and elegant, offering pure and concentrated flavors of dried red berry, tangerine and melon. The focused finish features flint and spice notes, with a hint of cream.”
In 2012, the Jolie-Pitts partnered with the Perrin family, a fifth-generation winemaking brood located in France’s Provence region, to develop their own ros wine under the Jolie-Pitt & Perrin brand. The wine was created in Chteau Miraval, the couple’s 35-bedroom estate with adjoining 1,200-acre vineyard, which they purchased in 2012 for $60 million. The couple had vacationed at the stunning spot since 2008 with their six children, and Pitt proposed to his longtime love on the property in early 2012.
Perrin general manager Marc Perrin, who has worked closely with the couple to produce the wine, told Unfiltered Magazine in February, “[Brad and Angelina] are involved. He is very interested in wine — he knows his wine very well… it is fantastic.”
This week has been a big one for the Jolie-Pitt clan. The couple and their 13-year-old son Maddox attended the 4th Annual Governors Ball in Hollywood on Saturday, Nov. 16. A tearful, radiant Jolie, who was honored at the event with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for her work as a UN Special Envoy, said before a room packed of philanthropic-minded celebrities, “I will do the best I can with this life, to be of use.”
[From Us Weekly]
I wonder what Angelina did for the wine? I mean, was she there, tasting samples? Perhaps. But I do think this is probably more of a side project for Brad, and good for him. It?s a cool little side project, especially given that they own that huge vineyard and they might as well make some wine. I wouldn?t mind a glass of the ros.
So, how much do you love that everything is coming up Brangeloonie these days? Angelina picks up an Oscar for her humanitarian work, Brad?s on track to pick up his first Oscar for producing 12 Years a Slave, and now the international wine-loving community is all, ?Damn, they make a good wine too.?

| Angelina Jolie in black Atelier Versace at the Governors Awards: gorgeous? | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Angelina Jolie received her Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Oscar on Saturday night at the Governors Awards. These are some photos from the event! Angelina flew in from Australia (where she?s filming Unbroken) and I don?t know where Brad has been. Is he still in England, working on Fury? He still had his WWII haircut, which is why I ask. So, Brad came out to support his girl and OMG, Maddox came out to support his mom. Look at Maddox! God, he?s grown up so much.
As for Angie? well, my girl looked beautiful. She wore this Atelier Versace gown which looks wonderful on her, and praise Jesus it was not a sack dress. It?s black, of course, because Angelina loves black so much, but it?s a great dress and it suits her. Good hair and makeup too.
Since the Governors Awards are more low-key and less time-sensitive than the Oscar telecast, Angelina was allowed to give a longer acceptance speech when she received her award. They released video of her speech, and she talks about her late mother Marcheline a great deal. Angelina made me cry a little. Seeing Maddox?s pride made me a bit teary too.
PS? CB and I went to see 12 Years a Slave yesterday and I feel pretty strongly that Brad is going to win an Oscar for producing that film. So Angelina will have two Oscars and Brad will have one. Bless the Brangelina.

| Angelina Jolie's implants 'are painful, uncomfortable & they?re driving her crazy' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
After everyone yelled at me in yesterday?s Michael Fassbender post, I think I should just remind everyone that IF I am sexually harassing Fassy by discussing the erstwhile Fassdong, then I?m sexually harassing just about everyone and everything. I talk about beavs, boobs, butts and dongs all day long. It?s MY JOB. And I love my job. So, with that in mind, let?s talk about Angelina Jolie?s boobs. Angelina had a double mastectomy more than six months ago, and very quickly after that operation, she had her breast reconstructive surgery, with implants. Since we found out about Angelina?s operations, many of us have noted that Angelina either went up a cup size or two (?), or she?s still having some swelling from the operation, because she looks noticeably bigger in the boob department. I tend to think that it?s swelling from the surgery, and that her implants have ?settled? yet. But Star Mag says that Angelina?s implants are getting to be really uncomfortable, and she regrets getting them so quickly after her mastectomy:
Angelina Jolie has been tired, tense and in considerable pain as she copes with what she fears may be complications from her recent breast reconstruction surgery.
?Angie?s new breasts are uncomfortable and painful and they?re driving her crazy,? says a source close to Angelina. While most women wait several months a year after a mastectomy before undergoing breast reconstruction, Angelina went through hers almost immediately, completely the surgery six months ago.
?She did all the research, and she knew it was tricky to get implants so soon after the mastectomy. She?s not worried about cancer anymore, but her new fear is that she rushed into getting implants and there is a chance of infection.?
Because of her upper-body discomfort and serious back and shoulder pain, Angie is concerned that the implants might be leaking, the source tells Star. ?Her new breasts look great, but they?ve been giving her problems so of course now she?s questioning everything.?
Angelina wishes she?d heeded doctors? warning and waited for the reconstructive surgery. ?She feels like she opted for surgery without thinking it through. She thinks she didn?t listen to the best advice, and she?s really regretting it. She doesn?t want to make an issue about her implants, because she knows it will make headlines. But she is seeing her doctors and voicing her concerns.?
[From Star Magazine, print edition]
Quite honestly, Angelina boobs do look uncomfortable. They look bigger than before, and I bet her back and shoulders are killing her. Help me out, ladies who have had reconstructive surgery: do doctors advise women to stay with the same basic size they had before? I really don?t see how Angelina would have gotten a C-cup implant (didn?t she used to be a C?) and that they would look like this. I kind of wonder if Brad asked her to get a D-cup or something larger and with the swelling, they?re just extra big.
Also ? I thought there were so many advances in implant technology that very, very few implants leak now? Is that not right? Do they still leak? Ugh.
Last thing – Entertainment Weekly has exclusive first shots of Angelina in Australia as she directs Unbroken – go here to see.

| Angelina Jolie's 'Unbroken' already causing controversy with Aussie conservationists | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some new photos of Angelina Jolie and three of her kids. Let?s see who?ve got? Know Jolie-Pitt (with a new haircut!), Vivienne and Pax. There are some assorted bodyguards too, and it looks like they were just shopping for kids? stuff. I see a princess castle? balloon? Is that a balloon? Also, I just need to say something about little Knox ? he looks so adorable with that haircut, and I really think that kid?s becoming more of a ginger as he ages. I swear, he?s going to look like Michael Fassbender when he?s all grown up. Also: I love Knox?s ?Taco Tuesday? t-shirt. He?s so cute. All of the kids are, of course, but Knox always seems like a particularly chill little dude.
Angelina and the kids are still in Australia, where she?s filming Unbroken. She and the kids just relocated to Queensland, and Angelina plans to film there, using some of Queensland?s most famous locales. Unfortunately, some of the historical preservationists (and conservationists) have their panties in a twist about it:
OSCAR-winning actor Angelina Jolie has been accused of “disrespecting Queensland’s heritage”, amid fears the filming of her new movie will damage a national park. The Hollywood superstar and her entourage descended on Queensland last week to begin shooting her World War II drama Unbroken at some of the state’s most picturesque locations.
But while Queensland Arts Minister Ian Walker has branded her movie “a major coup”, Australia’s environmental action group Conservation Volunteers is not impressed.
The movie involves building a prisoner of war camp at the historic Fort Lytton National Park, on the southern bank of the Brisbane River, at Lytton. Wayne Cameron, chair of the group’s Brisbane catchment network, is concerned about the potential for damage.
“This is just another example of the State Government treating our national parks with a fair amount of disrespect,” he said. “I would like to have a word with the wonderful Angelina Jolie about her movie and tell her a few things about the environment and the heritage at Fort Lytton. The movie set sounds like it will create the potential for mess that we will have to go in and clear up, to say nothing for the impact it will have on native regeneration.”
Built in 1881, Fort Lytton was used for the defence of Brisbane until the end of World War II. The park is usually open for public visits but has been closed for filming until November 22. Executive co-ordinator at National Parks Association of Queensland, Paul Donatiu, said he also hoped Jolie and the film crew would treat the park with respect.
“They need to make sure they leave it as they found it, or preferably in a better condition,” he said.
On Saturday the Arts Minister would not comment when asked about potential damage to Fort Lytton. His spokeswoman said it was not “an issue” for the department because the Minister had “played no role in deciding” the film locations.
National Parks Minister Steve Dickson also declined to comment. Information on the Department of National Parks website reveals there is a sliding scale of fees applicable to commercial filming. Small operators least likely to damage the environment pay lower fees, while larger-scale productions pay higher fees.
Rob Allan, of the Government’s Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, said filming at Fort Lytton was “subject to strict conditions that protect the surrounding built and natural environment.”
[From The Courier Mail]
I can understand how conservationists and preservationists would be worried about a film crew and the potential for damage, but it seems like they?re protesting too loudly when nothing has really happened yet. It?s not like Angelina is going to personally burn the place down. If there are already existing regulations about filming in the locations, then so be it. If it gets damaged, the studio will pay to have it fixed. And that?s the way the cookie crumbles. I remember that the French government wouldn?t let Steven Spielberg film in Normandy for Saving Private Ryan, and so he asked the British government to agree to filming in some of their protected locations, and they allowed him to come and film. Spielberg ended up bringing so many jobs and so much industry to England that the Queen gave him a knighthood and none of the locations got too banged up.
In other Villainess Jolie news, the UK papers claimed last week that Angelina was considering a massive offer to write a tell-all memoir. Allegedly, Angelina?s been offered $50 million for a tell-all book. But it?s probably BS. I think the UK papers are recycling some years-old tabloid reports.

| When Angelina Jolie met WWII hero Louis Zamperini, he gave her a necklace! | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Wow, this is a gorgeous photo. At first I thought this was Angelina Jolie with Jon Voight. But then I cleaned my glasses. This man is the real-life Louis Zamperini, who is 96 years old!! Zamperini?s story was told in Laura Hillenbrand?s Unbroken ? he was a bombardier during WWII, then a prisoner of war. He was also an Olympic runner and he?s an all-around amazing man. When Angelina and Louis met, he presented her with a gift: a gold necklace with a running shoe pendant. You guys? I?m totally crying right now. That?s so sweet.
Angelina Jolie met Louis Zamperini, the 96-year-old former Olympic runner and World War II prisoner of war, last winter when she signed on to direct Unbroken, based on Zamperini’s life.
The pair became fast friends.
“Angelina is a human dynamo, and I know she will tell this story in the right way,” said Zamperini, a bombardier who survived 47 days adrift in a lifeboat after a plane crash ? only to be taken prisoner by the Japanese. Author Laura Hillenbrand’s biography, Unbroken, became a bestseller in 2010.
For inspiration, Zamperini bestowed Jolie a gold pendant in the shape of a running shoe ? a prize from his running days ? which she plans to wear during filming, which kicks off later this month.
Jolie says she only hopes the movie does him justice.
?It will be hard to make a film worthy of this great man,? says Jolie, in a statement. ?I am deeply honored to have the chance and will do all I can to bring Louie?s inspiring story to life. ? Like all readers of Laura?s book and all people who love and admire Louie, I am a fan who has learned so much. He has made me a better person.?
[From People]
This darling, lovely man. If he gave me a necklace, I would wear it every day for the rest of my life. How sweet! Let me see if Angelina has been wearing the necklace while she?s in preproduction in Australia? in all of the photos from the past few months, she?s wearing necklaces but I think I only see one photoset (at LAX) where Angelina is wearing Louis?s special running shoe necklace. Which is still cool. I?m actually positive that the necklace will be something Angelina treasures for the rest of her life. Also: I love that Louis fan-girls Angelina!! I want to take him home with me and feed him. Also: Entertainment Weekly says that Louis lives in the Hollywood Hills, so he and Angelina are neighbors. Amazing.
