By my two-minute Google research, Angelina Jolie has been in The Netherlands twice before to visit the International Criminal Court in The Hague. In 2009 and 2011, she flew to the Netherlands to watch ongoing war crimes trials. She later told media outlets that she was doing research, and that she wanted to see the ICC in action. And now she?s back at The Hague to watch Congolese warlord Thomas Lubanga?s conviction:
Angelina Jolie isn’t one to miss a history-making moment. The actress, director and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, 36, arrived in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on Tuesday with daughters Zahara, 7, and Shiloh, 5, for a lowkey visit that had nothing to do with a splashy film premiere.
Instead, Jolie sat in the public gallery Wednesday morning for the first-ever verdict at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, 10 years after it opened.
After 200 days in court, vicious Congolese warlord Thomas Lubanga was finally convicted of kidnapping and recruiting young children — forcing them to become child soldiers to fight for Congolese rebel sources.
“This is their day,” Jolie said in a statement. “Where these children will feel there is no impunity for what happened to them, for what they suffered.”
“Angelina was very low key,” an onlooker at the Hague tells Us Weekly. “She came in almost unnoticed to watch the verdict and left right afterwards.”
The case of 51-year-old Lubanga could set a precedent for Uganda guerilla warlord Joseph Kony, currently the subject of a huge, celeb-supported viral campaign aimed at bringing him to justice.
Over the weekend, Jolie was by love Brad Pitt’s side in New Orleans for his Make It Right Foundation’s huge, star-studded bash.

Gearing up for the busy day ahead, Angelina Jolie was spotted leaving her hotel in Amsterdam, Netherlands today (March 14).
The ?Changeling? chick looked a bit camera shy as she slinked through a mob of fans and paparazzi hiding behind her oversized sunglasses.
Ang attended the trial of Thomas Lubanga, who was found guilty of abducting children in the Congo, at the nearby International Criminal Court at The Hague.
After the verdict was read, she told press, "I think, the most important thing is, this is very young court, very new court, this particular case was about the conscription of child soldiers, so many witnesses, over sixty people came in, young people came in, and spoke about what happened to them and because they were unable to have court proceedings in their country, they asked for this, the victims asked for this, the country asked for this."

Here are some new photos of Angelina Jolie, Zahara and Shiloh at LAX yesterday, taking a flight out of LA. My goodness we?ve had a lot of photos of the Jolie-Pitt kids lately. I hate noting that, by the way. The Jolie-Pitt-lovers yell at me because OF COURSE Angelina and Brad and their children aren?t photographed nearly as often as, say, Jennifer Garner and the Dimple Parade. And they?re right. And the Jolie-Pitt-haters yell at me because OF COURSE I love Angelina and I just refuse to see the massive conspiracy involving The Villainess Jolie and the way she outright forces her children to look happy for the cameras because Angelina is just plain evil. Of course. So I?ll just be pleasant and glide on through? the kids have been photographed a lot since the Oscars. Personally, I think it?s less about ?Angelina arranging photo-ops with the kids? and more about ?Angelina not caring so much about keeping her schedule locked down for a month following some bad press, so the paparazzi can easily find her and her lovely family.? Angelina and Jennifer Garner are surprisingly similar in that regard, I think.
But enough about Angelina. Let?s talk about the girls! I love everything about these two. I love that Shiloh really is a mini-Brad at this point. I bet she talks with an affected Missouri drawl too. She?s like the richest, most fabulous hillbilly child in the world. You know she totally picked out her tuxedo t-shirt. She probably thinks it?s the most awesome thing EVER. And it kind of is. It also seems like Shiloh?s little pixie/bowl cut is being grown out ever so slightly into a? mullet?!?!?! OMG. Shiloh with a mullet? Epic.
As for Zahara, I just love the way this girl puts together outfits. She has way more style than her mom. I basically wish I had her entire outfit in my size. Those are some kick-ass boots, and why can?t I have a snow leopard t-shirt?!?!?!?!?

Continuing along with her travel-intensive schedule, Angelina Jolie was spotted prepping for an outbound flight out of LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Monday (March 12).
The "Wanted" star was joined by daughters Shiloh and Zahara as the trio hopped out of their SUV and shuffled into the metro terminal ahead of the Tinseltown departure.
The travels come as Angelina has weighed in on the public outrage surrounding accused war criminal Joseph Kony - as she has joined the many calling for his immediate arrest.
First telling that she didn't "know anyone who doesn't hate Kony," the actress added, "I've been to Uganda and Congo and been to the International criminal court myself ? he's the one we all want to see in jail, so I think it's great that more people are talking about it."
"He's an extraordinarily horrible human being who, you know ? his time has come and it's lovely to see that young people are raising up as well," Jolie ended.

When Angelina Jolie was in New York City last week for the Women In the World Summit, various reporters asked her about the mega-viral Kony 2012 video and her thoughts on Ugandan war criminal Joseph Kony, leader of a Ugandan military group Lord’s Resistance Army. Jason Russell, the director of the viral video and co-founder of Invisible Children (a non-profit), has been name-checking Angelina in interviews and such. Here?s what Angelina had to say on Thursday:
This is not the first time Angelina has said something about Kony – in a 2010 Nightline interview, Angelina said that if she was ever in a room with Kony, she would be tempted to ?take him down? – ?Joseph Kony? I hate him.”
Incidentally, while I think it?s interesting/good that there?s a movement to bring a war criminal to justice, there are parts of the Kony 2012 movement that seem bit sketchy – Jezebel had an analysis of Invisible Children?s ?dubious finances? and how they?re actually going to disseminate the money raised from this wildly successful campaign.
While I was looking up stuff for this post, I found this video from Alex Jones who thinks Angelina should be arrested for war crimes because she thinks Joseph Kony should be arrested for war crimes. I just don?t understand this mindset. Like, I understand why and how a person could be an advocate for non-violence, I understand how a person could want the US to not get militarily involved in far-flung conflicts around the world. But how do you get from there to ?Angelina Jolie is a war criminal because she belongs to the Council on Foreign Relations?? I also don?t care for the way Bill Gates is slandered in this video.

Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie out and about in New Orleans with three of her children. It?s a different mix of kids than usual – Pax, Zahara and Vivienne. Angelina took the three kids out to do some shopping hours after the Make It Right gala on Saturday night. Since so many people bitched and moaned about last week?s post regarding Shiloh, Maddox and Zahara?s outing with Jacques the bulldog, I?m going to do the EXACT SAME THING. Random thoughts in bullet points, y?all.
*First of all, Angelina?s blouse/poncho thing is either really, really unflattering and oversized OR she?s pregnant. I understand wearing loose, comfortable clothes in your downtime (or any time), but really, Angie? A giant black poncho?
*No Jacques the bulldog! Booooo.
*Pax is starting to remind me of this classmate of mine in college. This classmate was like the Vietnamese Mick Jagger. I think it?s Pax?s shaggy, Jagger-esque haircut. And the fact that Pax has moves like Jagger. If Jagger was performing a one-man review of West Side Story. *snaps fingers* When you?re a Jet, you?re a Jet all the way!!! GAAAH!!!!
*I just love how Zahara pulls together an outfit. Pale Pink sundress, red shoes, and then she goes with the red theme by putting a red flower in her hair. GORGE!
*Vivienne is too cute with her little red shoes too. And she?s finally gotten out of that stage where she looks like she?s going to cry all the time.
*Does Zahara have blue ribbons done into her braids? That?s cute. Keep that in mind for spring and summer looks, ladies. Zahara is ahead of the curve.

Bringing a close to her Louisiana weekend, Angelina Jolie was in mommy mode as she ventured out with half of her brood in New Orleans on Sunday (March 11).
The 36-year-old "Kung Fu Panda 2" star held hands with her girls, Vivienne and Zahara, while son Pax practiced his best martial arts moves as the foursome hit up a local convenience mart in the French Quarter.
The Big Easy outing comes after Angelina spent the previous night alongside her partner, Brad Pitt, as he teamed up with Ellen DeGeneres to co-host a charity event dubbed "A Night to Make It Right".
The sold-out gala costing between $1,000 and $2,500 per person drew out 1,200 guests, with the festivities including gourmet cuisine along with a concert featuring a lineup of Rihanna, Sheryl Crow, Seal and Dr. John.

Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie in NYC yesterday for the Women in the World Summit. Yesterday was International Women?s Day, and many influential and powerful women gathered in at the Lincoln Center for this summit. Angelina was invited to speak about the refugee crisis in Somalia, illustrating the ongoing Somali catastrophe with a story about Dr. Hawa Abdi, who runs a medical/refugee camp, which has been overrun by militants (who have ties to al-Qaeda). Jolie was also invited to introduce Rwandan genocide survivor Sandra Uwiringiyimana. When Ms. Sandra Uwiringiyimana came to the stage, she thanked Angelina for ?taking justice into her home and hands and doing incredible things.? I?m including a partial video of Angelina speaking about Dr. Abdi?s camp in Somalia, and you can see more videos here at The Daily Beast.
As you can see, Angelina was wearing simple black pants, a silky-looking white blouse and a shiny white jacket for the event. I might be imagining things, but it seemed like The Leg managed to come out to play a little bit in some of these photos. The Leg was all, ?I?m wearing pants, but you should still pay attention to me!? Speaking of The Great Leg Debacle (seriously, people are still talking about it), it?s being reported by some tabloid sources that Angelina is still ?horrified? by everything that went down at the Oscars, and Angelina has settled the blame squarely on her stylist, Jennifer Rade. A source tells a British tab, ?She pays her stylist Jen a lot of money to pick things that will make her look drop-dead gorgeous, but she felt the dress swallowed her up and she had to stick her leg, or it looked like she was wearing a bin bag.” Whatever. I mean, I?ve been hoping that Angelina would fire Rade for a long, long time. But I doubt it?s happening.
Last story – The Hollywood Reporter has a story about Angelina?s next project, Maleficent. That?s where the Sleeping Beauty story is told through the eyes of the villainess, Maleficent, played by Angelina. Allegedly, the film is slated to begin production in June, and Elle Fanning is being considered for the part of Aurora/Sleeping Beauty. Those fairy-tale re-tellings are getting so popular these days – I?m hoping that this one is more Snow White & the Huntsman as opposed to that crappy-looking Mirror, Mirror.

Ready to take the Lincoln Center stage, Angelina Jolie was among those on-hand for the 3rd Annual Women in the World Summit in New York City on Thursday evening (March 8).
The 36-year-old actress looked classy in a white blazer over a pearl top with black pants as she gave a wave to photographers lining the arrivals area before heading inside the David H. Koch Theater.
Other big names joining in on the three day event centered on addressing problems facing women of all ages include dignitaries such as Madeleine Albright and Hillary Clinton, as well as Oscar winning actress Meryl Streep.
With live stream coverage found below, Miss Jolie is among the guest speakers tonight - as she's expected to make her way onstage at 8:25PM ET.
