If I was in Angelina Jolie?s position, I would have cut my father off a long time ago. Jon Voight is a completely ridiculous person politically and personally. Not only has Voight spent years passive-aggressively attacking his daughter, but he?s also an unhinged Trump supporter who believes that protesting against Trump is ?treason.? Voight has been friends with Trump for years, and that friendship is one of the reasons why Trump always trashed Angelina in interviews. And Voight was still friendly with Trump after Trump said nasty things about his daughter too. But I guess Angelina is a better person than me. Because she?s still spending time with her father. E! Angelina Jolie has been spending time with another important man in her life amid her divorce from Brad Pitt: Her father, actor Jon Voight. On Wednesday, the actress was spotted leaving a sushi restaurant in Beverly Hills with the star and four of her and Pitt’s kids?Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox. Jolie wore a long, black scoop neck dress.
Voight told E! News’ Zuri Hall at the King Arthur premiere earlier this week that “Angie’s doing good” these days. She filed for divorce from Pitt in September after two years of marriage and a 12-year relationship. The two, who share six children, got involved in a custody battle before reaching a temporary custody agreement. Last December, Voight said his daughter was “OK,” adding, “She’s holding on.”

Any port in a storm? Or is something else in play? Maybe Jolie genuinely wants to be around family during a difficult time. Maybe Jolie figures that her dad is always going to sell her out and talk about her in interviews, so she might as well accept it and keep him on-message. I have no idea. But if I was in her position? yeah, I think I would have canceled my father long ago.

Part of me can?t believe that Renaissance Faires are still a thing, but here we are. It?s 2017, Donald Trump is president and RenFaires are still a thing. There was apparently a major Renaissance Faire happening in Southern California this past weekend. I would assume it involved all of the traditional RenFaire things – oversized turkey legs, costumes, jousting, perhaps even some horses. Angelina Jolie attended the RenFaire with Shiloh and a group of kids, according to TMZ:
Angelina Jolie got in some quality culture with her daughter over the weekend by going back in time to the Renaissance … in SoCal … with Brad Pitt nowhere in sight. Angie was seen Saturday with at least one of her kids — her daughter, Shiloh — at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire of Southern California in Irwindale.
Witnesses tell us there were other kids with Angie and Shiloh — unclear if they were siblings or just friends. We’re told Angie and the crew were flanked by a massive bodyguard who followed them around the event — can’t ever be too careful. Still, the people we spoke with say Angie seemed happy — smiling and talking to staffers and other costumed folk — while chomping down on what appears to be a turkey leg.

I hope she not only finished the enormous turkey leg, but also got herself Ye Olde Funnel Cake. As for What All This Means? As we know, Angelina Jolie and the kids were in London and Geneva this week. Angelina had a bunch of stuff to do, from meeting with William Hague at the Foreign Office, to taking a private tour of Buckingham Palace with her son Maddox, to giving a lecture at the London School of Economics, to giving an incredible speech in Geneva. Here?s something I didn?t know though: while she was in the UK on Thursday, she stopped by Lambeth Palace and met with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby. Wow.
What does one wear to meet with the Archbishop of Canterbury? Can you wear slacks? Should your knees be covered? I ask because there are so many style rules for women meeting the Pope. I think the Archbishop is more loosey-goosey about dress codes though. Angelina basically just wore a sack skirt and a comfortable-looking sweater. She was covered up, but she looked pretty casual. Jolie met with the Archbishop to talk about her work with refugees and more:
Angelina Jolie is teaming up with the head of the Church of England. The actress and humanitarian met with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, at Lambeth Palace in London on Thursday, where the two discussed issues surrounding sexual violence, the refugee crisis and South Sudan.
Jolie met with the archbishop in her capacity as a special envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. She was appointed to the post in 2012.
The actress and archbishop have worked together before, and met in 2015 at the opening of the Center for Peace and Security at the London School of Economics, where she spoke to religious leaders from around the world about ending sexual violence as a weapon of war.

I believe Angelina brought all six kids to London, and they?re probably already in Geneva now. Angelina was in London for a meeting with her friend William Hague at the Foreign Office, plus she was trying her hand at guest-lecturing at the London School of Economics. As many remember, last year Angelina was invited to take a ?visiting professor? role for the 2017/18 university year and she accepted. She will be lecturing as part of LSE?s new Centre for Women, Peace and Security, which she helped found. On Tuesday, she got her feet wet in lecturing before students. She was apparently ?a little nervous? and ?feeling butterflies? beforehand. She didn?t need to worry – she was well-received and the students were very interested in what she had to say.
Angelina Jolie just got a first taste of the teaching life. The filmmaker and activist, 41, gave a lecture at the London School of Economics Tuesday morning at the Centre for Women, Peace and Security, PEOPLE confirms. It is the same place where Jolie, as a visiting professor, will start teaching a master?s course in September on the same subject.
Jolie?s lecture focused on women?s rights in the context of refugee camps, and how displacement and statelessness makes women and girls vulnerable to sexual violence and other crimes. The class also discussed the connection between the field and the policy work that is being done by governments, as well as the current state of women?s rights.
?Angelina Jolie spoke to a class of students taking the postgraduate course ?Women, Peace and Security,? as part of her role as visiting professor in practice in the Centre for Women, Peace and Security,? a spokesperson for LSE tells PEOPLE. ?Miss Jolie spoke about her experience and what has motivated her work as UNHCR special envoy and as co-founder of the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative, and took questions from the class.?
The subject ties into with her work with the initiative, which she helped launch in 2012 with the help of then-British Foreign Office Chair William Hague. The two subsequently opened the Centre for Women, Peace and Security in 2015, with Jolie later signing on to teach a course.
Beginning in September and through May 2018, Jolie will teach 9-month course on the matter, focusing on ?the ways in which women and gender are understood in relation to, and affected by, regional, national and global peace and security processes in conflict and post-conflict setting,? according to the school?s website.

Some people took issue with the whole ?guest lecturer? or ?visiting professor? titles, but wouldn?t you actually love to sit there for two hours and listen to what Angelina has to say about her UNHCR work? I?m asking the non-haters, of course.
Considering her upcoming role as a visiting professor starting this fall, many outlets have started in about that whole ?Angelina is moving to London full time while Brad stares out into the ocean and cries.? First of all, they have not worked out their custody situation, so all of that is very premature. Secondly, sources tell People Mag that Jolie is not moving to London, not even temporarily during her professorship. A source says: ?America is her home, it?s where her family lives. She has been traveling around the world for her work for 16 years. Nothing has changed.? I guess that means she?ll fly in to London when she can and give lectures every few weeks or something?

Over the years, Angelina Jolie has taken some modeling gigs. I think she?s always donated the money to charity. I remember when she was the face of St. John clothing, and how that contract pretty much built one of her charities from scratch. She also donated the money from her Louis Vuitton contract several years back. And back in 2007, she was the face of beauty company Shiseido, in ads that were only released in Japan. I don?t know if she donated that money or what, but I suspect she did. Still, it?s been a few years since Angelina got a modeling gig. I imagine she gets offers all the time ? say what you will about her acting skillz (I think she?s good, but I?m sure that?s a controversial opinion) ? but she?s a great model. And now she?ll be the new face of Guerlain Parfumeur’s latest perfume.
Angelina Jolie has scored a new gig. The Maleficent star has been named the face of Guerlain Parfumeur’s new fragrance for women. The collaboration between Jolie and the beauty brand came together in 2015 in Cambodia while the A-list actress was directing her film First They Killed My Father. Jolie’s affiliation of Guerlain has emotional roots, too, as it was one of her late mother’s favorite powders.
“We create perfumes for the women we admire,” said Jacques Guerlain in a press release. The scent, he said, was meant to express the idea of the “notes of a woman”: the choices, emotions and dreams that embody modern femininity. Jolie donated her entire salary from the Guerlain campaign to charity.

I can?t wait to see the print ads! I wonder if there will be commercials too. I hope not. While I love Charlize Theron?s modeling work, some of her Dior commercials make me cringe so hard, and I don?t want to see Jolie do the same kind of cringey stuff. Best to just do print ads. I want to smell the perfume too! I?m a perfume person ? CB is not! I love perfume, but something tells me this Guerlain scent is probably not going to be my cup of tea. (Then again, I’m wearing J.Lo Glow right now.)

As we discussed yesterday, Angelina Jolie took her six kids out of state for a nice, snowy holiday just after Christmas. Angelina and the kids traveled to Crested Butte, Colorado for New Year?s, and as soon as people learned that Jolie and the kids were there, paparazzi descended. The Daily Mail had some exclusive photos of Angelina getting ice cream with Vivienne (who is so tall!) ? go here to see. And now we have these photos of Angelina with Shiloh and Knox.
It looks like Angelina and the kids battle cold weather with ice cream, which is insane to me. When it?s snowy and cold, I go for hot chocolate or steaming hot soup. But not the Jolie-Pitt kids! They go to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for ice cream and specialty caramel apples. Shiloh is getting so tall too, and Knox has an unfortunate haircut that makes him look like Mini Eminem. What else? Angelina?s boots are relatively inexpensive for snow boots ? they?re Sorel Cozy Cate boots and they cost $140. In fact, I think Angelina wears snow gear really well. She looks like a real snow bunny.
According to E! News, Angelina and the kids did hit the ski slopes and they had a private ski instructor. I?m sure that poor guy is going to be starring in some tabloid fiction next week, right? Star Magazine will claim that The Leg seduced a ski instructor by the fire. In these photos, it looks like Angelina is being trailed by a bodyguard too.

They have been together since 2005, and they married in 2014. They celebrated their second wedding anniversary less than a month ago, where they allegedly got a hotel room for a night. But now it?s over????? OMG.
Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt and the trigger was a conflict over the kids… TMZ has learned. Jolie filed legal docs Monday citing irreconcilable differences. She’s asking for physical custody of the couple’s 6 children. She is asking the judge to give Pitt visitation. It’s significant …she does not want Brad to have joint physical custody … only joint legal custody.
Sources connected with the couple tell us … Angelina’s decision to file has to do with the way Brad was parenting the children … she was extremely upset with his methods.
We’re told there was no alleged “third person” … her decision to file was solely over Brad’s interaction with their children. Jolie, who’s being repped by disso queen Laura Wasser, is not asking for spousal support. Jolie lists the date of separation as Sept. 15, 2016. They married in August, 2014. They’ve been together since 2004.

What would you do if Angelina Jolie rolled up in a Cadillac while you were having a yard sale? What if you were trying to sell some item by the side of the road and La Jolie and Shiloh stop and buy what you?re selling? I think this might be my new favorite Angelina Jolie story. Two kids were selling their giant bear by the side of the road, and Angelina stopped and bought it. Seriously! Shiloh was there!
Angelina Jolie combined her love for kids and gigantic stuffed animals … and a couple of 8-year-old entrepreneurs made out big time. It all went down Sunday when Tim Alexander and his twins, Allen and Brandon, were in Toluca Lake, CA trying to sell “Big Bear” … an 8 1/2 foot tall teddy bear for $50. After an hour, they had no takers.
Then suddenly, Tim says a Cadillac pulled up with Angelina and Shiloh inside, and BOOM … they had a taker. He says Angelina doubled the twins’ asking price — handing over $50 to each of them. Dad says Allen and Brandon had no idea Angelina was a celeb, but he filled them in later with a “Kung Fu Panda” reference. Skadoosh!

What?s my favorite part? I don?t even know. Like, I love the fact that Angelina and Shiloh are just rolling around LA in a Caddy, looking to do good deeds. I love Shiloh and Angelina?s body language in the video ? at one point, Shiloh rests her arms on Angelina?s shoulder, and it just seems like they?re protective of each other. It?s sweet. I also love that Angelina is wearing a big, black muumuu. The woman loves a sack dress. And most of all, I love that she bought a giant bear from two kids for double what they were asking.

You guys know that I love Agatha Christie, right? I love Miss Marple. I love Hercule Poirot. I love that Christie was so badass and ahead of her time. And I love a good TV or film adaptation of Christie?s work. My favorite adaptation is the one of the most recent BBC adaptations of Miss Marple, starring the late (great) Geraldine McEwan. But I?ve always loved David Suchet at Poirot too. Suchet got to do a big (TV) adaptation of Poiret?s most famous story, and arguably Christie?s most beloved work, Murder on the Orient Express, a story loosely based on the Lindbergh Baby Kidnapping. That was in 2010, and that episode had a stellar cast including Jessica Chastain, Toby Jones, Eileen Atkins and Hugh Bonneville. And of course, there was another film version of Murder on the Orient Express back in 1974. Well, now the book is being remade again, this time with Kenneth Branagh directing. And according to Variety, Angelina Jolie is in talks to play a vital role.
Angelina Jolie is in talks to star in Kenneth Branagh?s mystery ensemble Murder on the Orient Express, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. If a deal is closed, Jolie would play Mrs. Harriet Hubbard, a role once played by Lauren Bacall in the oft-made adaptation. The Fox film is based on Agatha Christie?s classic mystery that has been in the works for years (the deal to secure the rights with the Christie estate was seven years in the making). Shooting is expected to begin in November in London and then move to Malta.
The story centers on special detective Hercule Poirot, who boards a train from Jerusalem to Europe only to have a murder committed in the car next to his during a snowstorm. Poirot tries to discover the murderer or murderers before there’s another victim.

This is exciting! At first I misread this and I thought Jolie would be playing the role played by Ingrid Bergman, a role which many considered (at the time) to be one of Bergman?s best and one for which she won another Oscar. I could see Jolie in that role too. I kind of think Jolie is too young to play the Mrs. Hubbard role? That woman should be in her 50s or 60s, realistically. But the Bergman part ? absolutely. Still, I would love to see Angelina take any part in this. This sounds good! And if Angelina is getting an approach, I would imagine some other interesting actors are also being courted.

Angelina Jolie?s film career has been sidelined largely by her own choice for a while now, especially in the past year. After the terrible reviews of By the Sea, Angelina has spent months focusing on her humanitarian work. Brad is currently filming a movie with Marion Cotillard in England and all over Europe, and so Angelina and the kids have been calling London home for months. It?s been a good phase for Angelina, mostly because I think she really has just been focusing completely on humanitarian work. She?s set up a new advocacy partnership focusing on sexual crimes in conflict and war. She also gave an amazing speech at the BBC last week. And now this? Dame Saint Angelina is now Professor Dame Saint Angelina.
Angelina Jolie Pitt is taking her passion for women’s rights and gender equality to the classroom. The actress, 40, is set to join the London School of Economics as a visiting professor for the new masters course on women, peace and security for the 2016-2017 school year. As a visiting professor, Jolie Pitt will deliver guest lectures, participate in workshop and public events, and continue research on projects.
“I am very encouraged by the creation of this master’s programme. I hope other academic institutions will follow this example, as it is vital that we broaden the discussion on how to advance women’s rights and end impunity for crimes that disproportionately affect women, such as sexual violence in conflict,” Jolie Pitt said in a statement. “I am looking forward to teaching and to learning from the students as well as to sharing my own experiences of working alongside governments and the United Nations.”
The course, which is the first of its kind internationally, was launched last year by Jolie Pitt and Britain’s former foreign secretary, William Hauge ? who will also serve as a visiting professor.
The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security Ambassador Melanne Verveer said they, too, are looking forward to bringing the program to the stateside campus.
“I was pleased to meet with Angelina Jolie during my recent trip to London on ways we at Georgetown University can continue the collaboration between our sister programs on both sides of the Atlantic,” said Verveer. “We look forward to welcoming Angelina and former foreign secretary Hague to Georgetown in the future.”

I would have loved to take a class with a Professor Jolie. The class seems tailored to her expertise too, and the LSE is also where Jolie and William Hague founded the Centre on Women, Peace and Security last year. My guess is that Jolie?s professorship will be part of the new center/program. Can you even imagine being a masters student and having Angelina Jolie walk into the classroom? Can you imagine having her as an adviser? Or participating in small workshops with her? Those students are so lucky.
