Retired Roman Catholic Cardinal Jorge Medina has come out and said that Madonna is causing ?impure thoughts? on her tour of South America. He said this during a mass honouring Augusto Pinochet. If it comes to a contest between Pinochet and Madonna to see who is most evil, Madonna is probably going to lose. Sure, they?re both dictators, but Madonna really just bosses around her underlings, as opposed to a whole country. If you cross her, she fires you, she doesn?t put you in front of a firing squad.
“This woman comes here and in an incredibly shameless manner, she provokes a crazy enthusiasm, an enthusiasm of lust, lustful thoughts, impure thoughts,” said Medina, the cardinal who was chosen to announce the election of Pope Benedict XV.
Hundreds of fans spent three days camping outside the National Stadium in Santiago to get good spots for Wednesday’s concert, the first of two. About 60,000 people were expected at each performance.
One of those waiting in line, Roberto Lopez, told local reporters that he had quit his job in the southern city of Punta Arenas because his boss had not given him time off to attend the concert.

Looking at Madonna, I?m not sure I?m getting ?impure thoughts?. Sure, I wonder if she could crack a nut for with her thighs, I wonder if she knows how aging that shade of blonde is, but I can?t say that anything particularly sexy spings to mind. Then again, I?m just not into dominatrix chic, which is clearly what she?s going for. Nice boots though.
Obviously Madonna has a history of deliberately upsetting the Catholic Church, which criticized her Like A Prayer video, and her live act.
Madonna took her kids on a boat ride in Buenos Aires on a break during her Sticky and Sweet tour, where David was wearing the same ?Speed Racer? t-shirt my son has. I wonder who went to Target to buy it for him.

Madonna has often been labeled as cheap by some of her employees. In September it was reported that many of them were upset with their accommodations on her tour. In one instance they were booked at a $92.50 a night hotel while Madge stayed in a $20,000 a night castle on the Cote d?Azur. Obviously she?s the boss and has the right to spend money on herself however she wishes. But apparently Madonna is trying to make it up to her employees ? she just blew $1 million on the fanciest hotel in South America while she was performing in Argentina ? booking it for both herself AND the entire concert crew.
Madonna blew a reported $1 million at a hotel in Argentina last week - so she and her crew could live in luxury during the South American leg of her Sticky & Sweet tour.
The singer spent the incredible sum at the exclusive Four Seasons resort in Buenos Aires, while she performed a string of gigs in the city.
Madonna is said to have splashed out $9,000 a night to stay in the hotel’s luxury suite - a private mansion in the grounds - while her 200 backing dancers, singers, make-up artists, choreographers, managers and security took up another 110 rooms, costing a minimum of $600 each.
A source tells Irish newspaper the Sunday World, “When they check out on Tuesday, with room service and extras the bill will top $1 million. This is the finest hotel in South America, offering every luxury you could possibly imagine, and it doesn’t come cheap.
We’ve had some pop stars and presidents before, but nothing quite like this.”

At least she?s loosening the purse strings a little. I?m pretty surprised Madonna was willing to compromise. She doesn?t strike me as the sort that?ll give in. Perhaps she?s a good enough businesswoman to understand that employee morale is important and can ultimately make or break the success of her concert tour. And she can certainly afford it ? Media Outrage reports that Madge is going to gross $282 million for this tour ? breaking her previous record of $193.7 million. Hopefully this signals the end of the $92.50 motel.

There are some celebrities that just seem born to adopt kids, Brangelina being the best example. Then there are others that somehow manage to make it seem wrong ? Madonna?s whole debacle with adopting son David comes to mind. And some women just seem more motherly than others, though that doesn?t mean they can?t be great moms.
But the latest sorta-celeb to jump on the adoption train doesn?t only not seem motherly, she seems like the kind of person who?d leave the kid in the bath for a few hours while she went out for some shopping and drunken bisexual kissing competitions. That?s right, none other than ferret-esq Tila Tequila wants to adopt ? after making a billion dollars and ridding the world of small dogs.

“I definitely want to adopt a boy,” the reality star told Usmagazine.com at a book signing for Hooking Up With Tila Tequila in NYC on Monday.
“Sometimes I think, like, let’s just run away from Hollywood and adopt a son, and do my own thing,” she said. “But then I realize, you know what? I want to make at least another billion dollars before I adopt children so I can just focus on them. Like, just move to an island and give them everything.”
Meanwhile, the bisexual babe admitted she doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to taking care of a living thing.
“I had a dog, but I had to give him to [my] best friend, because he did not like to travel at all,” she told Us. “And I don’t like little Chihuahuas or poodles or those little dogs those girls carry around. I like bigger dogs, and they get too big for me because I’m small, so I can’t walk them or anything.”

It definitely takes no less than one billion dollars to properly raise a child. I knew a kid who was raised on half a billion and I cannot tell you how messed up he is. Of course billion or not, if you?re raised by anyone with an I.Q. of less than a peanut, you?re going to be screwed no matter what. I hate to break it to Tila, but if you can?t take care of a dog, you probably can?t take care of a kid. And unless she?s planning on moving to a really big, heavily populated island, it?s going to be a challenge to give the kid everything.
It?s too bad Tila doesn?t like Chihuahuas ? I think that?d be a much better match for her than a human. The resemblance is uncanny.

Thanks to falling for Alex Rodriguez, it seems like Madonna is never going to get another piece of good press again. To be fair, it?s not like she?s gotten much good press in a long, long time. But she?s coming off as more unlikeable than ever, and that?s really saying something.
Madge and A-Rod have been reported to be looking at new homes in Manhattan for quite awhile. Madonna wants to keep Alex close enough that she can have him whenever she wants, but not so close that they?re living together. She also has a bunch of other requirements, like a non-nosy doorman. But despite the way they?re shifting their lives around for each other, a source told the Daily News that the pair doesn?t have the deep, mystical, soul-stirring connection they want everyone to think they have.
Alex Rodriguez insists that he’s not moving in with Madonna - but a source says Her Madgesty is on a mission to find him a new home base just a stone’s throw from her own. “Before his divorce, Alex was searching for houses on the upper East Side and Madonna offered to help him,” an insider tells us. “She wanted Alex to have a big house that would be suitable for kids, and she didn’t want a building with a nosy doorman who would talk. Madonna wanted a place where they could go and be together without prying eyes.”
Added a pal of the slugger: “They don’t want to be in the same apartment, but they do want to be near one another.” In addition to Madonna’s apartment sleuthing, A-Rod’s friend says, “Both sides have sent their reps to look at places.” Regardless of all the house-hunting, A-Rod claims that he and Madonna are “just friends,” despite the fact that both were conveniently in Mexico City last weekend. Rodriguez says his time was focused on running a baseball clinic for kids, but one source has a slightly different view of the all-star’s relationship with the Queen of Pop.
“Alex and Madonna are very, very cozy,” the insider reveals. “Yes, they are intimate, and they are intoxicated with one another. Alex can’t get over that he’s with Madonna.” But the insider has some sage words of wisdom for Rodriguez: “This isn’t a deep and serious love affair. It will last as long as Madonna wants it to,” our leak predicts. “She could get five or six years out of it - but only if it’s in her best interest to keep him around.”

Well I think that sums up Madonna pretty well. She?ll be into Alex for a while and use him while it benefits her, but as to the long-term, there?s nothing substantial there. It sounds like Rodriguez has a bit of puppy love going on. Which is funny since he?s long been reported to be quite the player. Now it seems like he?s being played. Madonna ultimately needs someone who is more complex and will challenge her and stand up to her. Though she?s drawn to people that follow her commands, in the long run they?ll likely get tired of her, or she?ll tire of them. No matter what, it sounds like A-Rod and Madge shouldn?t be exchanging keys quite yet.

I have no idea why anyone gives a shit about either A-Rod or Madonna. They’re both hideously ugly and totally boring. But if you mysteriously care about the state of their asinine relationship, here’s what A-Rod told People:
“We’re friends,” Rodriguez, 33, says.

While rumors have swirled that the slugger and the singer, 50, have been carrying on a romantic relationship and flying around the country in order to spend time together, “I can tell you this,” Rodriguez says, “I have never been on a plane with her.”
“You have to have a sense of humor when it comes to this stuff,” Rodriguez adds.
When pressed on how much time they have spent together, and whether he had ever stayed the night at Madonna’s home, Rodriguez laughed: “If I answered every rumor we’d be here for three weeks.”
Ugh. Yaaaaawn. God, somebody wake me up when Lourdes snaps and starts acting out, okay? But only if she waxes her eyebrows first. I got standards, yanno.

Alex Rodriguez claims he is not in a romantic relationship with Madonna at all. He doesn’t just say “we’re friends” and leave it at that, he goes on to dispute most of the stories that have been spread about his supposed relationship with the pop singer:
“We’re friends,” Rodriguez, 33, says.

He also finds much of what’s been written about them laughable: “I’ve been to two [of her] concerts, yet I’ve read that I went to 20. I’ve also read that we were buying an apartment together. That is absolutely ridiculous and not true.”

These two have been together in Miami and in Mexico recently and it seems like more than a coincidence that they’re in the same place at the same time given their alleged relationship. Madonna was even spotted openly flirting with A-Rod at a concert she gave in Miami. While Rodriguez insists they’ve never been on a plane together, they were photographed exiting a private plane together in Miami. Was that some other tall dark guy?
My guess is that if Rodriguez hasn’t dumped Madonna yet he’s about to. He’s newly single and isn’t about to get tied down to a controlling older woman. Madonna sent her friends down to Miami to babysit him at parties and make sure he wasn’t flirting. A-Rod is also said to no longer be taking Kabbalah classes. This is his way of rewriting history and making sure he gets away from Madge. If he was still with her wouldn’t he just say “no comment,” or “she’s a great friend”? Instead he went on about it like he wishes it were true.

Nothing says you’re not over the hill like carrying a purse worth more than most people in the third world will see in a year. It also helps if you spend tens of thousands on plastic surgery, dermatologic maintenance, and personal training sessions. Dressing like a 19 year old with an unlimited budget and poor taste also may help you cling to lost years and snare that boy toy you’ve been eying to complete your look.
So good job, Louis Vuitton executives, in picking the celebrity model who embodies the consumer you’re trying to target. Your ideal customer not be able to lift her leg up over her head or smile in a way that reaches her eyes but she can wield a credit card like a sword.
We can thank creative director Marc Jacobs for picking Madonna as the latest LV spokesperson. He saw the 50 year-old in concert and recommended in a meeting the next day that she be hired. Jacobs tells Women’s Wear Daily that Madonna’s fee was “way less” than the $10 million that has been reported.
When Marc Jacobs found himself in a meeting on a recent Monday morning to brainstorm about Louis Vuitton?s next fashion advertising campaign, inspiration struck. ?I just blurted out, ?I think we should do Madonna,?? said the designer, Vuitton?s creative director, mentioning he?d attended a concert by the pop icon the night before in Paris. ?I was totally just blown away by it, and moved by her performance, by what she had to say, and her energy.?
As the meeting went on, Jacobs tapped out a message to Madonna on his BlackBerry, and within about five minutes came the reply: ?I?d love to.?
The result is six atmospheric pictures of a smoldering Madonna by Steven Meisel that will break in a range of fashion magazines in February. ?It?s a big change from what we were doing. It tells a story,? said Antoine Arnault, Vuitton?s director of communications. ?This I think is an amazing coup, but more than that, there?s real logic behind it. It?s very linked to Marc?s fashion show.?
Although Arnault declined to give figures, he said media budgets for the fashion campaign would be on par with a year ago. And he dismissed as ?absurd? reports pegging Madonna?s fees at $10 million. ?It?s very far away from that,? he assured…
The shoot wrapped up in less than a day and without incident, although Jacobs said hordes of paparazzi literally ?appeared out of the bushes? the moment Madonna arrived. ?It went from a quiet street to complete chaos,? he said.
The designer also marveled at the singer?s incredible fitness that allowed her to recline, her back arched, on bentwood chairs, or shoot a leg straight up in the air, no sweat. ?She?s so sure of herself as an icon and as a woman. It was her idea to do the fishnets,? Jacobs said. ?What fascinates me the most about her is her never-ending energy, and the idea of becoming and changing. She?s an artist who?s unafraid to use her voice.?
