You know it?s going to be a good day when there are new pictures of Colin Farrell and Gerard Butler, both wearing the hell out of some suits. Sigh. I had a dream about the two of them the other night. They were friends, and they invited me to dinner. Gerard told me to order whatever I wanted while Colin tried to feel me up. I ordered a steak, and tried to get into Gerard?s pants while Colin tried to get into mine. It was an awesome dream. CB claims that Colin would be a better catch, but I had to respectfully disagree. I love Colin and everything (and I definitely wouldn?t kick him out of bed), but I think Gerry would be the better boyfriend. For her part, CB acknowledges that Gerry has a ?leg up? because he?s so friggin? big. We both love the big guys.
Back to reality - Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl attended the premiere of their film The Ugly Truth last night in Hollywood. I?m laughing myself silly at these pictures, they?re so funny. My favorites are the ones where Gerry is licking Katherine?s face, and then in the next photo he?s making an ?icky? face like she tastes bad. He probably got a tongue full of makeup. Meanwhile, the whole time Katherine is just posing her butt off. They do look really cute together, and it seems like they were both hamming it up for the cameras. Very cute.
Not so cute? Katherine?s whole look. Taken separately, I could see how different parts could work on their own, but all together the combination is kind of rough. The dress isn?t terrible, but the color washes her out a little. CB doesn?t like Heigl?s hair, but I don?t think it looks too bad. I kind of like the darker reddish-brown. My biggest complaints: too much jewelry and too much makeup. Heigl is a pretty girl, she doesn?t need all of that crap on her face. Gerry was just doing his part to get some of it off? using his tongue. But those necklaces! They make her look like a grandmother.
On an added Gerard Butler note, he was on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien last night. I haven’t seen the whole interview, but Radar has a funny clip of him talking about the romance rumors. He jokes about how he and Jennifer Aniston are going to get married, then says after that, he’s going to marry Cameron Diaz and Joan Rivers.
Oh, and here are some new pictures of the lovely (but sort of small) Colin Farrell, on the set of London Boulevard. He and Ray Winstone were apparently shooting a scene in the rain last night in London. Damn? put Colin in a great suit, and that boy is fine.

They’re the perfect onscreen duo, and last night (July 16) Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl looked to have plenty of off-screen chemistry as well.
The “P.S. I Love You” stud and his “Grey’s Anatomy” costar looked to be enjoying themselves at the big Hollywood premiere of their new movie “The Ugly Truth” held at Pacific’s Cinerama Dome.
Gerard and Katherine had such a good time promoting the new flick that Mr. Butler actually licked Heigl’s cheek as the paparazzi looked on.
During his promotional appearance on “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,” Gerard also dished on what it was like to work with his “Bounty” costar Jennifer Aniston. He explained, “We’re very much in love. Especially her. We’re actually going to tie the knot next Tuesday. And then on Saturday, I’m marrying Cameron Diaz. Joan Rivers will be the next weekend.”

Katherine Heigl’s option has been picked up for another season of the ABC series. At the end of the last season of the medical drama, the fate of Heigl’s character, Izzie, was left uncertain, as she underwent brain surgery following a diagnosis of stage 4 brain and liver cancer. Heigl had been rumored to be looking to exit the show in order to focus on her film career but in public statements maintained her desire to continue in the role.

Nothing will stop Katherine Heigl from thinking she?s God?s gift to Hollywood. After a tumultuous several years where Heigl badmouthed her first major star-making film (Knocked Up) and sanctimoniously declared that she was taking her name out of Emmy consideration for Grey?s Anatomy because of bad writing, the diva still hasn?t learned her lesson. It turns out Heigl was just about to sign on to a ensemble romantic comedy directed by Garry Marshall called Valentine?s Day, but Heigl was dropped from the film because she demanded a multi-million dollar paycheck.
A three-million dollar paycheck is actually what Heigl probably gets per film - but this film was a special case. It?s an ensemble, and the actors on it would be working, at most, two weeks. At the lower end, they could be working three days. So if I wanted to be harsh, I could say Heigl wanted $3 million for three days of work. A spokesperson for Heigl also claims it was Katherine who walked away, that she wasn?t dropped like a bitchy hot potato:
Katherine Heigl has hit another stumbling block on her way to movie stardom.
Sources say the actress, whose just-concluded season on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” might have been her last, was dropped from a top-tier ensemble cast in the upcoming romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day” because she demanded an astronomical salary.
The flick, which is scheduled to be released in February 2011, is directed by Garry Marshall and has signed such big names as Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, Shirley MacLaine and Bradley Cooper.
An insider told Page Six, “Producers at New Line originally had Katherine on their casting list. They wanted her for the project, but during the talks, she came back demanding $3 million for the role.”
Our source calls that number “ridiculous” because the movie has “an ensemble cast where there is really no one lead role. Actors are only filming between three and 14 days, and no other actors asked for nearly that amount.”
A rep for Heigl told Page Six, “The story is ludicrous. Early negotiations are a daily occurrence in this business, and just for clarification, Katherine walked away from this project for multiple reasons.” A spokeswoman for New Line had “no comment.”
It’s not the first time Heigl has come across as a diva. In 2007, after “Knocked Up,” she told Vanity Fair the Judd Apatow-directed movie “paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys. I had a hard time with it on some days.”
She also caused a commotion when she withdrew her name from consideration for last year’s Emmy race, slighting the “Grey’s Anatomy” writers by saying, “I do not feel I was given the material this season to warrant a nomination.” Heigl, whose character was dying of brain cancer, did enter herself in this year’s awards nominations.

On the scale of least offensive to most offensive Katherine Heigl moments, this doesn?t make the top register. Part of me thinks that someone on the film was just doing a hatchet-job on Heigl for the hell of it, that there were probably legitimate contract negotiations going on that fell apart. But another part of me wants to see Hollywood distance itself from Heigl - she?s not a great actress, she perpetuates this diva drama, and she?s not worth the trouble. Blonde romantic-comedy heroines are a dime a dozen, and yet Heigl pulls the diva act all of the time. Ten bucks says that Kate Hudson gets the role intended for Heigl.

Katherine Heigl, who made a lot of people very pissed of last year by pulling her name from the list of Emmy nominees after deeming the “material” on Grey’s Anatomy not award-worthy, is up for another Emmy. This time the nomination comes after her character may or may not have died after undergoing surgery for a brain tumor.
Ladies and gentlemen, Katherine Heigl has just declared game on!
After a firestorm of controversy erupted around her decision to remove herself from Emmy consideration last go-’round, the Grey’s Anatomy heroine has reentered the gold derby this year, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Natch, cynics will snark that the 2007 Best Supporting Actress winner is back in the race because of the tensions that allegedly sprung up between her and series creator Shonda Rhimes after she took herself out of the running. (The movie starlet, you’ll recall, said at the time that she didn’t have material with which she could compete.) But I think — and I think you’ll agree — it’s likelier that even she knows that, whether viewers loved or loathed the Izzie’s-got-a-brain-tumor story, she played the frak out of it. She’s already earned one high profile endorsement…
“I think she did beautiful work,” Rhimes raved Thursday immediately following the season finale. “I think she always does beautiful work.”

Katherine Heigl just keeps burning bridges. She was poised to be the next big thing with movies like Knocked Up and 27 Dresses, but she is generally regarded as a diva and no one wants to work with an entitled co-star. She’s now starring with Gerard Butler in The Ugly Truth, but I can’t see her getting much farther in her career with thatr attitude.
Congrats to her on the Emmy nod, but no one is going to be able to talk about this without bringing up her de-nomination last year. What do you think? Does she deserve an Emmy nomination? Or does she deserve to get snubbed?

Katherine Heigl is once again putting herself up for Emmy contention again according to EW's Michael Ausiello. I guess she feels the writers finally wrote something worthy for her ego. Personally I thought she could have done a better job with what she was given, Justin Chambers certainly did. If anyone should get the nom, it should be him. Granted I just don't like Katherine Heigl, so what she did might be Emmy worthy, I just can't see it. Wouldn't it be great Karma if the Emmy voters don't nominate her, but they will.
BTW who else thinks she will be back next season while TR Knight won't be. They have to kill one of them off because otherwise, I think, we the viewers will feel ripped-off.

Katherine Heigl has become an unbearable thorn in everyone’s side. Ever since she found fame playing Izzie in Grey’s Anatomy and that whiny bitch in Knocked Up, her ego has almost reached Kanye West proportions.
For example, last year Heigl withdrew herself from Emmy consideration because she felt the material for Grey’s was “lacking”, basically giving the finger to the writers. Heigl has also made it clear that she wants off the show to start a film career.
In response, show creator Shonda Rhimes gave her cancer. On last night’s finale, Izzie had to have brain surgery for said cancer and signed a DNR order. The bad news is she survived the surgery with a little bit of amnesia. The good news is that right when her amnesia went away, she died in her husband’s arms. Of course, we don’t know if she’s really dead until next season, but it’s satisfying to know the option is there. Sort of like a gun. You know you’ll probably never use it, but it’s nice to know it’s there for when you bring a girl home.

Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl are currently filming a scene for their upcoming movie, “Five Killers,” in St. Barts. Which is lucky for us, since Ashton has to do a lot of shooting without his shirt on. According to IMDB, the film is about a ?vacationing woman [who] meets her ideal man, leading to a swift marriage. Back at home, however, their idyllic life is upset when they discover their neighbors could be assassins who have been contracted to kill the couple.? So you know, one of those ?it could happen to anyone? type of films. Ashton plays a retired hit man ? again, who amongst us hasn?t accidentally dated one of those? Nonetheless, the important thing is that he has to run around without his shirt on? and carrying flippers. Hotness.
Lest you worry that Kutcher might be one of those method actors who gets way too into his role, his Twitter page will help you rest assured. It?s filled with his latest deep thoughts. A recent smattering:

I just had to stick those in there because they?re juvenile but funny in a lame way. Ashton is actually using his Twitter for some good. April 25th is World Malaria Day, for which he?s become the unofficial spokesman. Ashton is getting a jump start on things and using his Twitter account to send out all sort of Tweets linking to Malaria No More, an organization that donates mosquito nets to those who cannot afford them in African countries.

Even though it?s pretty clear to everyone that Katherine Heigl is desperate to leave Grey?s Anatomy to devote more time to her burgeoning film career, she still feels the need to pay lip-service to her ?happiness? if she?s forced to fulfill her contract. Heigl claims that she?s totally in the dark about whether Izzy will be written out of the show, which is funny. That probably means the producers and the writers are just screwing with her, trying to make her life miserable.
Heigl talked about all of this and more to The New York Times at the celebration for the one-hundredth episode of Grey?s Anatomy. Heigl, who has pitched more than one public fit about the show?s writing and schedule, now says she?s ?happy to compromise? with whatever the show?s producers and writers have planned for Izzy:
Katherine Heigl said Friday she’s ready to stay with ”Grey’s Anatomy” and the decision rests with the show. Attending a studio party to mark the ABC medical drama’s 100th episode, Heigl said it’s premature to think her days as Dr. Izzie Stevens are numbered.
”I was assuming that at one point and I got a lot of shrugged shoulders and shakes of the head, so I don’t know if that’s a yes or a no. No one will tell me and I don’t know how this is going to go,” Heigl said, noting series creator Shonda Rhimes passion for plot secrecy.
”I don’t know if I live or die. I don’t know how Izzie fares,” said the actress, who’s played the character since the show debuted in 2005.
”I’m there” if Izzie remains part of ”Grey’s Anatomy,” Heigl said. She called the set ”one of my favorite places to be” and said her colleagues are also friends.
She and fellow cast members, including Ellen Pompeo (Dr. Meredith Grey) and Patrick Dempsey (Dr. Derek Shepherd), were on hand for the celebration that included a cake decorated with scalpels and syringes made out of icing.
Rhimes, who’s also an executive producer for the show, called the milestone a ”huge accomplishment” and thanked the cast and crew for their efforts. In an interview, she dropped a tantalizing clue about the episode airing May 7.
”The only thing I’ll tell you about the 100th is that it takes place on Meredith and Derek’s wedding day,” Rhimes said. ”That’s big … and that’s all I’m going to say.”
On Thursday’s episode, Izzie was seen surviving brain surgery. There’s been speculation that Heigl wants to pursue her blossoming film career (”Knocked Up,” the upcoming ”The Ugly Truth”) full-time, and that her character might be killed off. Rhimes declined comment on what would happen to Heigl’s character.
Last month, fellow cast member James Pickens Jr. said Heigl was leaving the show, along with T.R. Knight, both of whom declined comment at the time. Knight missed the studio party because he’d previously scheduled the day off, an ABC spokeswoman said.
On Friday, Heigl said she’s comfortable balancing movies and TV by working on big-screen projects during the summer hiatus for ”Grey’s Anatomy.”
”I’m more than happy to make that compromise. As my agent likes to say, ‘High-class problems,”’ Heigl said.
”I don’t know if I want to continue for five years working 12 months a year, but I can take at least another year or two,” she said.
Dempsey said he intends to fulfill the remaining two years on his contract with ”Grey’s Anatomy and ”then we’ll see what happens after that.”

It will be interesting if T.R. Knight follows his ?bestie? Katherine off the show - he doesn?t have the waiting film career she has, so staying on Grey?s might be his best choice.
Katherine Heigl and her ?high-class problems? grate on my nerves. It?s not that she wants to leave a television show that put her on the map - lots of television actors get bored and want to leave, and that?s life. What bothers me is her repeated whines and public complaints, often at the expense of people who are making a lot less money than her (like, say, the writers). No one forced her to sign her contract - so why all the drama about fulfilling her contractual obligations?
