Katherine Heigl is happy to stick with the show as long as they will have her. At a party yesterday celebrating Grey’s 100th episode, Heigl said she did not know whether her character, Dr. Izzie Stevens, who is battling cancer, was going to be killed off at the end of this season. According to an AP report, the actress said, “I was assuming that at one point and I got a lot of shrugged shoulders and shakes of the head, so I don’t know if that’s a yes or a no. No one will tell me and I don’t know how this is going to go. I don’t know if I live or die. I don’t know how Izzie fares.” If Izzie does kick cancer, Heigl said she’d gladly remain on Grey’s — “I’m there,” she told the AP — and called the set “one of my favorite places to be.”

Katherine Heigl has had a change of heart and would very much like to stay on Grey’s Anatomy despite earlier attempts at exiting the show that made her famous to begin a film career. She even withdrew her name from an Emmy nomination last year because she didn’t think the writing was good enough. Now she doesn’t want to leave. But no one in the know has hinted at whether she’s staying or leaving.
On Friday, Heigl said she’s comfortable balancing movies and TV by working on big-screen projects during the summer hiatus for “Grey’s Anatomy.”
“I’m more than happy to make that compromise. As my agent likes to say, ‘High-class problems,’” Heigl said.
“I don’t know if I want to continue for five years working 12 months a year, but I can take at least another year or two,” she said.
How gracious for Heigl to grace everyone with her presence for another year or two. They should be so honored. Honestly, you could replace her with a blonde chick with big tits you pulled off the street and the only thing people would talk about is who styled her new hair.

First Katherine Heigl made a big stink about her contract and wanted out of it until she found out she signed on the dotted line for 7 years. Then she bashed on the writers of Grey’s Anatomy that wrote the words that earned her an Emmy she didn’t deserve. Now after all the whining about the show that made her a star and her character is near-death, she is telling AP she wants to stay on the show.
“I was assuming that at one point and I got a lot of shrugged shoulders and shakes of the head, so I don’t know if that’s a yes or a no. No one will tell me and I don’t know how this is going to go,” Heigl said, noting series creator Shonda Rhimes’ passion for plot secrecy.
“I don’t know if I live or die. I don’t know how Izzie fares,” said the actress, who’s played the character since the show debuted in 2005.
“I’m there” if Izzie remains part of “Grey’s Anatomy,” Heigl said. She called the set “one of my favorite places to be” and said her colleagues are also friends.
I really hope they don’t want her and kill her off the show.

Wow working 12 months a year is hard for her. I work 12 months a year and I have no choice. She does think she is better than us. Hopefully the residuals won’t be enough for her to survive on once her career finally comes to an end.

Katherine Heigl seems to make enemies every month. After winning over a sizable audience in her Emmy-winning performance in ?Grey?s Anatomy? and then starring in one of the biggest comedies of 2007, Knocked Up, Katherine was pegged as one of the biggest rising stars in Hollywood. Then she made a series of what could only be described as media relations disasters.
First there was her January 2008 Vanity Fair interview, where Katherine bashed the role that made her ?bankable? as a film actress. She called Knocked Up ?sexist? and then went on to bash the ?ratings ploy? plot of the ?Grey?s Anatomy? writers and producers. After some public condemnation for basically being ungrateful for the success she had, Katherine tried to back-track, sort of. Since it was basically her first offense, people tended to look the other way.
After that, Katherine bided her time until the a few weeks before the 2008 Emmy nominations were to be announced. She then sanctimoniously announced that she had withdrawn her name from Emmy consideration because she felt she hadn?t been given good enough material, and she didn?t think it was ?fair? to the other potential nominees. That?s when all hell broke loose.
Katherine got called every name in the book for that one. ?Grey?s Anatomy? writers and producers were pissed, and the gossip at the time was that Katherine was being deliberately bitchy as a way to get out of her Grey?s contract, so she could ultimately spend more time on her film career. Grey?s didn?t fire her though, instead forcing her to fulfill her contract. She?s been relatively quiet since then, until this new report. According to ?sources?, Heigl was a huge diva on the set of 27 Dresses and her new film Five Killers. BANG Media has more (via Gossip Rocks):
Katherine Heigl has been accused of behaving like a diva while filming ‘27 Dresses’.
The 30-year-old actress reportedly refused to film any scenes on the 2008 movie unless she was brought a can of Coke Zero, and also refused to talk to extras on set.
An extra on the film told gossip blogger Perez Hilton: “She wouldn’t film any scenes until her pregnant assistant ran and got her a Coke Zero. She refused to eat lunch next to anyone or have anyone speak to her once the stopped rolling.
“I filmed RIGHT next to her… for 10 hours straight two days in a row and she never once said hello to me. Never even looked in my direction even after I tried to make conversation.”
The new claims come after it was reported Katherine made a series of unreasonable demands on the set of her movie ?Five Killers’.
A crew member said: “She’s had appointments with us - from camera tests to fittings - that she just hasn’t shown up to and has been making herself unavailable.?
“She and her mother, who is her manager, even had the audacity to request that wardrobe people go to her. We accommodated that request and she flaked on the meeting.”
The movie is being shot in Atlanta and France, and Katherine has reportedly requested a private plane transport her to set and a large security team.
Another source said: “She has a sense of entitlement that is really off-putting. Many directors that she’s worked with in the past DO NOT want to work with her again.”

A Coke Zero? Are those any good? Because I would find it hard to work without my Diet Coke, but I could probably manage without being an enormous bitch. I?m not sure if I believe all of this reporting, but I believe some of it. When the steady stream of gossip tilts towards consistent reporting of a particular star being a huge diva, and you?ve got the case history to back it up, it?s probably true. And that makes Katherine Heigl the reigning queen of sanctimonious entitlement.

Katherine Heigl doesn’t just sound like a bitch, she actually is a bitch. According to reports, Heigl has been “extremely unprofessional” on the set of Five Killers. She’s been skipping meetings and making ridiculous demands. Demands like asking to be flown in a private plane to and from the international set locations and requesting “crazy amounts of security.” Most likely to protect her from people who have an uncontrollable urge to slap her with a dead trout (everyone).
The fun doesn’t end there though. An extra on her previous film, 27 Dresses, claims:

If you’re wondering why Katherine is afforded the right to demand such extravagances, it’s because she’s been in such blockbusters as Under Siege 2, Bride of Chucky, Valentine and that show Roswell. Her resume speaks for itself. Serious actresses need serious pampering. Just think. If someone had been allowed to speak to her in between scenes, how would Katherine have stayed in character as the unrelenting “shrew” in Knocked Up? It’s not like she could have drawn on her own personality. Amiright?

It?s long been noted that the ?Grey?s Anatomy? set must be a horrible place to work. There is such an insane amount of drama going on there. And it?s Hollywood ? some drama is to be expected. But when you?ve got the most chaotic and high-strung set on the West Coast, that really says something.
On Tuesday ?Grey?s? cast mate James Pickens Jr. confirmed that both T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl are leaving the show. But now executive producer Shonda Rhimes says that?s untrue.
Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes wants to set the record straight: T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl are not leaving the show. “That was a very interesting rumor,” Rhimes said Thursday night at the 40th NAACP Image Awards in Los Angeles. “And it’s not true.”
Rhimes was referring to a recent comment in the press attributed to Grey’s castmember James Pickens Jr., in which he was said to be confirming the departure of Heigl and Knight. “That was absolutely taken out of context,” said Rhimes. “Things happen, and … I think rumors become fact very easily. And you know I don’t like to tell you what’s going to happen on the show ? but that is a rumor,” she emphasized.
For his part, Pickens says he meant to wish the pair well in general. “We’ve been living with these rumors for a long time,” he said before the NAACP’s awards show. “When the question was posed to me, I was more trying to congratulate Katie and T.R. on whatever they were going to do. But yeah, I don’t have any special info about it either way.”

It?s been rumored for a long time that Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight have wanted off the show. Knight?s storylines are trivial filler. They are the acting equivalent of busy work. And Heigl?s storylines are just flat out stupid. I?m sorry but the ghost of her ex is following her around for multiple episodes for no reason, and then it turns out she?s sick or something but you don?t care at that point because it?s so dumb.
Even without all the reported drama and negativity on the set, I wouldn’t blame either Knight or Heigl for wanting to leave. Wearing a sandwich board promoting the local hoagie shop would probably be more creatively satisfying at this point.

James Pickens Jr, the hottest guy on Grey’s Anatomy, has confirmed to Us Weekly that Katherine Heigl and her little buddy TR Knight are leaving the show!!!
When Us Weekly asked James Pickens Jr. (a.k.a. Grey’s Dr. Richard Webber) on February 7 if Heigl is leaving the medical drama, he said, “Yes, she is.” And he continued, “Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best.”
Following Heigl, 30, out the door?
Her outspoken BFF, Knight, 35. “He’s going too,” Pickens told Us at the NAACP Awards luncheon in Beverly Hills. “He just wanted to pursue other career paths.”

“He complains to Katherine all the time,” a set source has said of Knight (with Heigl). “The energy on set will be much better when he’s gone.”
Sources close to the actors concur.
“Katherine is ready to move on to the next chapter,” says a set source.
Good riddance. I won’t miss the two ungrateful stars when they kiss their careers goodbye for biting the hand that feeds them. I really hope they kill them off in some catastrophic way, so they can’t come back to the show ever!!!
BTW I have so forgotten about TR Knight already, that I couldn’t remember his name when I started writing this post. And I am sure I am not the only one who has forgotten about him.

It’s been long rumored that Katherine Heigl was thinking of moving on from her “Grey’s Anatomy” gig. And now we’ve learned that she will indeed be parting ways with the show, and she’s taking T.R. Knight with her.
According to James Pickens Jr. who plays Dr. Richard Webber, Heigl’s departure has been confirmed. He told press, “Yes, she is [leaving]. Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best.”
