Spending the day with her loving family, Katherine Heigl was spotted alongside husband Josh Kelley and daughter Naleigh in Los Feliz, California on Thursday (March 25).
The trio strolled down the local streets as the recently departed Izzie Stevens actress tried to calm down her darling angel as they grabbed up lunch at Little Dom's.
Meanwhile, Miss Heigl continued to show off her brunette locks, which she's slowly but surely grown to love.
"I was pretty shocked at first... I was like, 'wow, it's dark, that's not just brown, that's black.' It took me a good day and a half to totally embrace it," she said.
Now used to the new appearance, Katherine tells, "I love it. It's fun. I feel a bit different even though I don't act any different. I say all the same stupid things -- I just look different."

Treating herself to a delicious dinner, Katherine Heigl was spotted at Katsuya restaurant in West Hollywood last night (March 24).
The brunette bombshell looked lovely as she made her way past the paparazzi and headed back to her car.
On the set of her new film ?Killers? earlier in the day, Katherine was back to blonde, though, with the help of a wig.
And with the announcement that she?s left ?Grey?s Anatomy,? it looks like Ms. Heigl is ready for a major life change.

The rumors have been churning for months, and now it?s official- Katherine Heigl is no longer a cast member on ?Grey?s Anatomy.?
The ?27 Dresses? babe made an official announcement in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly to put all speculation to rest.
Heigl declared, ?I am done. We just finalized our agreement. Everyone has been working really hard to find an amicable and gracious way of letting go and moving on. It?s sad but it?s what I wanted.?
What?s next? ?I think I?m just gonna try and keep it a little more mellow and be a little bit more of a mom, since that?s a big part of my life now. I took those three months off and I realized how very, very important is my family is to me and I want to be more available to them.?

Katherine Heigl almost showed off more of her bod than she had planned when her dress suddenly headed south! The “Grey’s Anatomy” actress was accepting an award for Female Star of the Year last night at ShoWest in Las Vegas when a strap broke and her dress started falling off. She had to make a fast grab before the bodice cleared her breasts. Host Billy Bush played gallant gentleman and helped Katherine hold the dress in place while she finished her speech.

She?s no stranger to swanky awards ceremonies, but last night (March 18) Katherine Heigl almost gave the ShoWest audience a little more than they?d bargained for.
The ?Grey?s Anatomy? gal accepted the trophy for Female Star of the Year just in time for a strap on her dress to break, nearly exposing herself to everyone.Billy Bush, who hosted the awards, tweeted, "Hosting showest awards in LV. Heigl comes up to get award, dress strap breaks...I hold her top on while she accepts!"
Nevertheless, ShoWest director Robert Sunshine sang Heigl?s praises. "Her comedic timing and flair for acting are showcased in each of her roles and have captivated audiences around the globe."

Participating in the star-studded festivities taking place in Sin City, Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel were on-hand at Warner Bros. Pictures' 'Big Picture 2010' during ShoWest 2010 held at Paris Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday (March 18).
The gorgeous twosome were in high spirits at the annual film fete, with Miss Heigl gearing up to be presented with the Female Star of the Year Award later in the evening.
Meanwhile, you can catch Katherine and Josh together on the big screen when their movie "Life As We Know It" hits theater on December 22.
Also starring Christina Hendricks and Josh Lucas, the Greg Berlanti directed comedy is about "two single adults who become caregivers to an orphaned girl when their mutual best friends die in an accident."

Izzie Stevens has been AWOL for most of the current season of ?Grey?s Anatomy? while Katherine Heigl took yet another hiatus from the series to shoot a film and take care of her newly-adopted baby. The actress was expected to return to the set this month, but so far, has not reported for work. It?s no secret that Heigl has been trying to get out of her contract ever since her film career took off a couple of years ago. Sources report that she has finally gotten her wish and will not return to ?Grey?s.? So how will the show?s producers explain her absence? Since Izzie has cancer already, it shouldn?t be that hard.

It didn?t seem like a big deal when she took a maternity hiatus from her ?Grey?s Anatomy? gig late last year, but now Katherine Heigl is looking like she may not be coming back.
The ?27 Dresses? babe was supposed to return to the set of her hit ABC show on March 1st, though she?s still yet to be seen.Of course, Heigl?s absence has led to some serious speculation that Dr. Izzie Stevens is long gone, but the network refuses to comment.

Katherine Heigl has traded in her sun-kissed blonde locks for a really dark shade of brown. She?s gone darker before, in that movie 27 Dresses (which sucked). But this is the darkest I?ve ever seen her hair, and it does not look good. I?m not one of those people who is always like ?Blonde is better, lighten your stuff up.? It depends on the person, and I am a very happy brunette, and always have been. But Heigl needs to go back to a lighter color. Because this stuff looks like the Britney Spears ?I?m goin? crazy y?all? Special.
Meanwhile, it?s looking more and more like Grey?s Anatomy producers and writers are totally done with Dame Heigl. It looks like Grey?s Anatomy will be down two doctors next season, and, believe it or not, neither of them are played by Katherine Heigl!
Sources confirm to me exclusively that Mercy West transplants Robert Baker (Dr. Percy) and Nora Zehetner (Dr. Adamson) are not expected to return next season.
There?s no official word on the fate of fellow ?invaders? Jesse Williams (Dr. Avery) and Sarah Drew (Dr. Kepner), but there?s buzz both may stick around long-term. Grey?s boss Shonda Rhimes has until June to decide whether to exercise the series regular options in their contracts. (Here?s hoping she does; I like those two.)
Heigl?s MIA Izzie, meanwhile, will reappear in April. But for how long? Confides an ABC source: ?No one knows.?
