Seriously, it?s not like Katherine Heigl is physically unattractive. What I know about her personality makes her less attractive, of course, but it also seems like Katherine Heigl just has no clue what to do with herself on red carpets lately. ?Lately? being over the past year, year and a half. At one time, I really thought she was going to be a fashion girl. I thought she was going to work on her style and be into the whole thing. That fell apart. Now, she has the potential to be a very pretty woman. And it?s not even that I hate this dress that Dame Heigl wore to the premiere of her film, Life As We Know It - I just hate it on her. I think it?s this weird shade of blonde that is throwing everything off, right? Sigh?
Anyway, Katherine is no longer a fashion girl. She?s now billing herself as a Super-Mom, taking a page out of Jennifer Garner?s book. When the going gets tough, the tough talks diapers.
Paging Katherine Heigl for diaper duty! The former Grey?s Anatomy star and proud mama to daughter Naleigh is an expert when it comes to changing the dirty diapers.
?I?m a pro now. I can get it done real quick,? Heigl told PEOPLE at the New York press conference of Life As We Know It on Saturday.
?I am very particular with these sorts of things. I want everyone ? like my husband [Josh Kelley] and the nanny ? to do it exactly the way I do it. Using just the right diaper cream because I swear that?s what helps her, and the right kind of wipes and diapers ? so I prefer to do it myself.?
She adds: ?It?s very apparent that I?m kind of a control freak. So it?s better if I do it myself!?
But Heigl?s do-it-yourself mentality got her in deep doo-doo on her Sept. 24 flight from Los Angeles to New York.
?They didn?t have those fold down tables to change her on and it?s just a tiny little bathroom stall. I couldn?t put her on the floor so I had to jam her head in the corner and lay her across the toilet and kneel below her. It was brutal,? she recalls.
?The whole part of the plane smelled badly. In the beginning when they are little, it?s not that bad. It?s pretty tame. She?s almost two, she really needs to get potty trained because this is grown-up kind of poop. Now I?m so committed to potty training. I?m going to make this happen!?
One parenting tip that Heigl, 31, learned from mom Nancy is to utilize white noise to help Naleigh to fall asleep.
?We use a big standing fan. We put it on high wattage to drown out everything,? she explains. ?Her bedroom is right over the kitchen and living room area so you can really hear us down there when we are up watching TV. My mother taught me that. She said she used to leave a vacuum running in the baby?s room and it really works. There?s something about white noise. I?m a big believer in it.?

I?ll admit it, I didn?t even read that. I skimmed it and saw that Heigl was talking about poop and I just kept on going. I know my advice to Heigl included more baby stuff (it makes her more accessible and less of a bitch), but easy on the poop talk, for real.
Katherine also trotted out her long-suffering husband Joshua for the premiere. They made out for the cameras like circus performers! I love how poor Joshua is kissing Dame Heigl?s teeth, I really do.

Doing their best to boost interest in their upcoming movie, Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel teamed up for the "Life As We Know It" premiere in New York City on Thursday (September 30).
Held at the Ziegfeld Theatre, the lovely co-stars smilingly posed for pictures while joining director Greg Berlanti and numerous co-stars for the red carpet affair in advance of the film's October 8th release date.
As for the plot of the movie, "Life As We Know It" is about "two single adults becoming caregivers to an orphaned girl when their mutual best friends die in an accident."
Recently chatting with ET during a press interview, Miss Heigl - who recently adopted a daughter named Naleigh - spoke about further family expansion with her musician hubby, Josh Kelley.
She dished, "I definitely want to have a lot of kids. I think Josh is down with it. He seems cool. His thing is that he's a little nervous about outnumbering us. So, he thinks it should be like one or two and I think it should be like five or six."
As for Duhamel and wife Fergie, the "Transformers" hunk said, "It's definitely part of the plan. We just need to be in the same city. ... It's just a matter of, like I said, when."

Katherine Heigl and her new shade of washed-out blonde were on Letterman last night. In this latest appearance, she wasn’t complaining bitterly about her work schedule or trying to seem human by explaining how heartbreaking motherhood can be. She was puffing on an electronic cigarette and trying to act badass. Heigl explained that she’s trying to quit smoking after multiple attempts. The electronic cigarette contains liquid nicotine and emits a water vapor that’s harmless and gives the user the feeling of smoking. Betty Confidential has more on Heigl’s Letterman appearance and some background on the device she was using:
It was a TV scene straight out of the 1960s, when everybody smoked everywhere: Katherine Heigl fired up a cigarette while talking with David Letterman. With the widely known health risks of cigarettes, they?ve been banned everywhere from offices to restaurants.
But Heigl smoked an e-cigarette, an electronic device that provides short hits of nicotine or a vapor that actually tastes like nicotine. The smoker blows the smoke out, just like they would do with a ?real? cigarette. Heigl, 31, began smoking at age 25 (most users start much earlier) and told Letterman that she really wants to quit but hasn?t been able to. ?I did the patch, I did the gum, I did the [prescription medicine] Chantix twice. I went bananas,? the actress told Letterman, according to tvsquad. But the e-cigarette seems to be working.
Heigl even convinced Letterman, a cigar smoker, to try the e-cigarette. He said it made him feel dizzy; people often have that side effect when taking nicotine for the first time, or after a long period of not using it.
The drawback to the e-cigarette : It?s addictive, just as nicotine gum is. ?I?m totally addicted to the device,? Heigl said to Letterman.
So what?s the difference from being addicted to tobacco as we know it? It depends on how much nicotine you?re using in in the electronic cigarette. The amounts are designated low to extra-high. Heigl didn?t say what the level of nicotine was in her smokes.
The federal Food and Drug Administration hasn?t ruled yet on the e-cigarettes, although preliminary tests have shown that there are often low levels of nicotine even in cigarettes that say they are nicotine-free. The FDA also has said that the products should be sold with health warnings and that they?re concerned that the e-cigarette is being marketed to young people.
E-cigarettes have already been banned in Australia and Canada, and while it?s not certain whether that will happen in the U.S., Heigl might want to stock up on her supply.

Heigl is promoting yet another romcom that looks like a piece of crap (and contains multiple crap jokes), Life As We Know It, which is out October 8 and co-stars Josh Duhamel. Her only other film this year, Killers, bombed at the box office and was critically panned. I’m obviously not a fan of hers, but good for her for quitting smoking. She may want to quit smoking the electronic cigarettes too, though. An FDA study in 2009 found that many contained dangerous carcinogens including chemicals found in antifreeze. At least the smoker is the only one being exposed, but it sounds scary and people should be warned. Up until earlier this month, the FDA had not regulated e-Cigarettes, although they won a court battle this year and recently announced that they planned to do so.
Let’s get back to Heigl’s hair - as Kaiser mentioned it’s a very bad shade for her. Here’s a comparison photo from back when she had dark Dallas-style hair. It was just as bad and it’s hard to tell which is worse. She’s so pretty and her hair just ruins it for her.

Getting back in the saddle is easier said than done, and Katherine Heigl knows this first-hand.
In a recent interview, ?The Killers? actress revealed how she injured herself during a horse riding accident at her Utah ranch.
Heigl, who has recently taken up competitive horse training, admits she?s having difficulty climbing back in the saddle after losing control, falling off and splitting her knee open.
Dishing some details, Katherine explained, ?The horse is great and he wasn?t trying to kill me but I just lost control and I couldn?t stop him.?
?The more upset I?d get, the faster he?d go. He was running into the walls and I just leaped off of him into these iron bars and I stood there bleeding watching him go berserk and I went, ?What have I done?'"
"I split my fingernail open and cut my knee, it wasn?t that bad. I didn?t break anything,? Heigl added.

Having recently made the trip out east, Katherine Heigl was spotted enjoying a weekend night on the town in New York City on Saturday (September 25).
Looking stylish in a black see-through dress with a cute silver beaded necklace, the former "Grey's Anatomy" star was in a cheerful mood as she picked up a tasty dinner in the Big Apple.
The sighting comes as Miss Heigl is easing into promotional mode as her new movie "Life As We Know It" hits theaters on October 8th.
Co-starring Josh Duhamel, the Greg Berlanti directed comedy is about "two single adults becoming caregivers to an orphaned girl when their mutual best friends die in an accident."

Ever the doting mother, Katherine Heigl and her baby girl were spotted at LAX on Friday (September 24).
The ?Knocked Up? star carried her precious daughter, Naleigh, into the airport to catch a flight out of town.
In recent news, the actress, who recently went back to being a blonde, announced her generous donation of $1 million to help no-cost spay and neuter clinics in the Los Angeles area.
Heigl, who has six dogs, told press that she hopes to educate the community on this serious issue. ?They have no idea that a litter of 10 means a litter of, like, 400 in the future. We can tell them and educate them, and provide a way for them to spay and neuter their pets," she told press.

Stepping out for a good cause, a freshly blonde Katherine Heigl attended the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation?s Compassion Revolution press conference on Thursday (September 23).
The former ?Grey?s Anatomy? star looked gorgeous as she posed for pictures just ahead of the event - which raises awareness and helps curb the pet population crisis.
Making a big announcement, Heigl revealed that she will be pledging $1 million to spay and neuter programs in the city and county of Los Angeles.
"What's happening is not only inhumane and morally reprehensible, it's economically irresponsible," Katherine said. "Killing is not a solution."

It was an abrupt move when Katherin Heigl opted to just ditch out on her ?Grey?s Anatomy? gig last spring, and now the big question is, will she ever come back.
According to creator Shonda Rhimes, the story between Heigl?s Izzie Stevens and Justin Chamber?s character is ?far from over,? though it?s not clear if that means Heigl will reprise her role.
When directly asked if Katherine was planning a return to Seattle Grace Hospital, Rimes stated, ?I don?t know.?
Additionally, Katherine definitely indicated that she?d love to go back to the gig shortly after she took off earlier this year.

After becoming new parents to an adopted baby girl with special needs from South Korea last year, it?s understandable that Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley have concerns.
The ?Knocked Up? star recently revealed to Us Magazine that she and her musician husband would wonder why Naleigh wasn?t walking at 17 months.
She told, ?I think Josh and I started to get like those obnoxious parents that are a little, like, ?What?s wrong with her? Why isn?t she walking yet? What are we doing wrong??
Becoming a bit more accustomed to parenthood, however, Heigl continued, ?Now we?re, like, pushing her all day: start walking! But I figured we?re probably fine. She?ll start walking.?
Their baby girl, who is now 20 months, is beginning to talk. Katherine told, "She is starting to talk a little bit more. She says Dada all the time. Of course that was her first word... She points at me and says 'Dada' too. She thinks anyone she loves is Dada. I will her to say Mama!"
