Doing her part to promote proper nutritional education, Jennifer Garner was spotted picking veggies in Yorktown Heights, New York today (June 9).
The mother-of-two looked to be having a great time as she and some kids helped kick off Frigidaire?s Kids? Cooking Academy Summer Session.
After they gathered up their ingredients, Garner and the crew had a lesson in eating fresh at the Stone Barns Restaurant in Pocantico Hills.
Jen told press, "I'm a huge fan and avid supporter of my local Farmer's Market. Showing kids how foods go from farm to table is an important first step in creating healthy eating habits. The Frigidaire Summer School is a great way to educate kids and their parents about the importance of eating fresh."

Making a promotional appearance, Jennifer Garner was spotted at FOX Studios in New York City this morning (June 9).
The ?Catch and Release? actress was all smiles as she prepared for her interview on ?Fox & Friends.?
Yesterday, Jennifer was in Washington DC where she spoke about early childhood education and improved access to child care at the Capitol Visitor?s Center.
She explained, ?You were able to sit in a circle when you got to kindergarten - that is kindergarten readiness. It?s being able to get along with your peers. It?s knowing what a rhyme is?.my 2-year-old can spout Mother Goose from here to next week. That comes from school.?
?I am telling you that when you go into a house that the kids are growing up in poverty there is not a book in the house. There is nothing from Playskool. There are no developmental toys and there are exhausted moms who do not have any energy left to get books to their kids, or the money to do it.?

Making her fourth such trip to the political center of the States, Jennifer Garner was on-hand at the Capitol Visitor's Center in Washington, DC on Wednesday (June 8).
The "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" actress joined Save The Children leader Mark Shriver, along with Bob Casey and Barbara Mikulski, with the group discussing early childhood education and improved access to child care.
Upon taking the podium, Miss Garner looked upon the youthful audience, as she said, "You guys look...young," then adding, "bright, successful, clean, pretty-looking people."
Helping the actress maintain credibility during the education/care talks, Shriver later reminded the conference-goers that Jennifer is ?a daughter of West Virginia? and ?understands the problem of rural poverty very well."

Stepping out for a delectable morning meal, Jennifer Garner was spotted heading into Tavern Restaurant in Brentwood, CA on Wednesday (May 4).
The ?Valentine?s Day? babe looked cute in a khaki-colored ensemble and heels as made her way inside to meet some friends for a tasty brunch.
Jen has always made exercise a priority, and she recently told WonderWall what type of music keeps her going at the gym.
She said that she had her girls? babysitter put together a workout mix for her and it included artists like ?Beyonce or Kanye West of Katy Perry.?

As you?ve probably seen on all of the mom-and-baby-themed blogs by now, Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck and their two daughters have been back on the Dimple Parade paparazzi stroll the past month. My thought on the subject is that Jennifer was promoting Arthur, and maybe she was trying to create some buzz for her horrendous monstrosity project, a ?young? reboot of Miss Marple. Basically, whenever I see photos of Garner two days in a row, I get suspicious and think she?s hustling something. CB and I always disagree about that - CB loves Garner, and thinks that Garner just has a routine that the paps can easily follow, day after day. In reality, it?s probably a little of both theories. Anyway, as you can see from their recent pap-friendly outings, Garner and Affleck seem to be a better mood these days. There were even photos of them smiling and laughing together, a rarity. And now Us Weekly has a nice little story about how Jen and Ben are back on track:

?I have no testosterone left, but you know, I?m happy,? he tells Us Weekly of wife Jennifer Garner and their daughters. In fact, a source tells Us Weekly that the pair, who celebrated Garner?s 39th birthday with a barbecue at their home in LA?s Pacific Palisades April 17, are better than ever.
?All is really good,? says the insider. The only recent hiccup? Getting Violet into the right private school, says the friend. ?But it was all sorted out. Tom Hanks wrote letters of recommendation!?
The couple?s work-life balance makes the grade too, adds the source: ?Ben is happy doing smaller films now and being a family man. He?s the happiest he has ever been.?

As I said, it takes very little for my suspicions to be raised about this family. I think Ben screwed around with Blake Lively - and probably others. I also have concerns that he?s drinking again, and maybe worse. So? while I think that Ben might/probably genuinely love his wife and his daughters, he?s also got that self-destructive streak that rises up every so often and wreaks havoc. When I see unnamed sources saying stuff like ?Ben is happy doing smaller films now and being a family man. He?s the happiest he has ever been? all I think is ?Um, really? Or is that wishful thinking?? Still, I guess I should give Jennifer and Ben some credit - they really did seem like they went through a bad rough patch after Seraphina was born, and they managed to move past it. It probably helps that Ben buys ?I?m sorry I boned her? jewelry for his wife after big transgressions!

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were photographed out together, supposedly looking for a school for one or both of their daughters, and they looked pretty happy and content for once. They often seem disconnected and upset in candids, but I think their mood is usually a reaction to the paparazzi that hound them and isn’t necessarily a reflection on their relationship. Kaiser isn’t a fan of Garner, and I understand that criticism that Lainey and Kaiser lob at her - that she’s shuttling her kids out to promote stuff, that she’s arranging photo ops. I don’t agree with that take on her, and I’ve seen video of the paparazzi absolutely swarming her when she’s out with her kids. I think that Garner and Affleck live a predictable life, that they’re followed everywhere and and that they deal with it the best they can. The worst that Ben has done is flip the bird a few times and scowl, which is completely understandable and a pretty mild response to what he goes through daily.
These two don’t even have a bodyguard (Kate Gosselin has one for God’s sake) and while Garner has admitted to having a nanny she isn’t usually seen out with a lot of helpers. I like them, I can’t help it. They don’t seem to think they’re regal, they do live the high life but they don’t seem to flaunt it or overextend like Ben’s ex J.Lo and her diminutive control freak husband. I’m rooting for them, but frankly I’m surprised they’ve lasted as long as they have. I had to say something negative and there it is. I’ve seen a lot of friends split up and marriage is a tough prospect for anyone, particularly two people in the spotlight with such different schedules. We’ve heard a lot of stories about trouble in their relationship, and this blind item may point to them. It’s got to suck when your movie bombs too, although Garner wasn’t the main headliner on Arthur.
Last week Garner dished on her sex scenes with Russell Brand in Arthur. She said “I’m very familiar, in my own way, with the anatomy of Russell Brand — and it’s good.” He was wearing underwear, though, or she may have needed some antibiotics to stop that familiarity from itching.

They haven?t been spotted together in quite some time, but the paparazzi finally caught up with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner in Los Angeles, CA earlier today (April 12).
The ?Town? actor and his ?Valentine?s Day? wife both looked cute and casual as they checked out some potential new schools for their daughters, Violet and Seraphina.
Up ahead for Jen, she is set to begin work on her next project in which she will be starring as a younger Miss Marple in Disney?s reboot of the Agatha Christie mystery series.
Aside from starring in the film, Garner will also be found behind the camera producing alongside her Vandalia Films partner, Juliana Janes.

Jennifer Garner was on the Late Show Tuesday night promoting Arthur, which comes out in the US today. It looks like a pale imitation of the original despite the involvement of Dame Helen. (I hope she at least says “May I wash your dick for you?” They need to work that line in there.) The movie is getting trashed on Rotten Tomatoes with a 24% rating, but critic opinions don’t seem to matter when it comes to box office so it could do well. I certainly see enough commercials for it on television.
Garner told a story on Letterman about how she made hair tie scrunchies in college and sold them door to door in the dorms. She said she was so successful and made hundreds that she still runs into people who say “I have your scrunchie.”
Jennifer Garner may be a successful actress, but back in college, she had other ways to pad her wallet. On the Late Show with David Letterman Tuesday, the actress revealed that her college ?job? was actually making scrunchies ? those infamous ?80s-style hair ties covered in fabric. ?My college roommate and I ? we were theater geeks and we had a key to the theater department,? she admitted during an appearance to promote her new film, Arthur. ?We would go in late at night and we would use their sewing machines and their elastic and we would make scrunchies. We would make boxes full of scrunchies in sorority colors or [ones that were] just cute.? And surprisingly, the gig actually paid the bills. ?We went door to door in the dorms and said ?One for $3, two for $5,? and we raked it in! We made so much money!? But as it turns out, unfortunately, Garner wasn?t exactly an expert accessory maker. ?We spent so much time on them, [but] we were so bad at them. I was constantly sewing the scrunchie to my clothes ? I was a bad scrunchie maker. I?m sure half of them fell apart.?

Garner is a year older than I am, I’ll be honest. I graduated high school and started college in 1991. At that point, I wouldn’t have been caught dead with a scrunchie in my hair. My crowd was listening to Nine Inch Nails, Peter Murphy and the Psychedelic Furs. (Some of us got turned on to then-new Nirvana at the time too.) We were wearing combat boots, long shaggy hair and thrift store clothes. Looking back at myself in college, I know I was a stereotype, but that’s what we did back then, we got involved with a group and we identified with them and we dressed like them. The sorority girls were trying to rock the scrunchies, so I guess we can assume Garner was a sorority girl. There’s nothing wrong with that, and it definitely fits with her personality.

Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Jennifer Garner was spotted at ?Late Night with Jimmy Fallon? last night (April 6).
The ?Alias? hottie looked fabulous as she chatted with Fallon about her old band director who was arrested for robbing banks by the FBI.
Jimmy made the comment that Jen should make it into a movie- kind of a mix between ?Glee? and her husband Ben Affleck?s flick ?The Town.?
Garner shot back, ?Were you making fun of the town?? Fallon said, ?No!? to which Jen replied, ?Ok, that?s cool. I just wanted to make sure.? Yikes!
