Bringing her baby bump out on the town, Jennifer Garner was looking fabulous as she worked the red carpet at Drai's Hollywood on Saturday night (September 10).
The expecting actress was on hand to play hostess of the Elyse Walker Presents Pink Party '11 held in benefit of Cedars-Sinai Women's Cancer Program.
Aside from her charitable efforts, it has just been reported that Miss Garner is in the midst of bringing the non-fiction book The Geeks Shall Inherit The Earth to the small screen through her Vandalia Films.
According to Contactmusic, Jen's show "will follow several quirky students through high school and demonstrate how distinct traits can prove valuable in adulthood."

In yesterday?s post about Ben Affleck and his 1970s wiglet, I also threw in some photos of Jennifer Garner from her daily paparazzi-friendly jaunts. I mentioned the weirdness of Garner?s pregnancy style - when she?s not pregnant, she wears really baggy, unflattering clothes that make her look pregnant, and now that we know she is knocked up, all of sudden she?s wearing fitted clothes and she looks slender. It?s the strangest thing. In Touch Weekly might have an explanation for it, though - according to Jennifer?s unnamed friend, Garner has been working out four to five times a week with a personal trainer so that she doesn?t put on as much weight as she put on with her second pregnancy:
Some people may see pregnancy as an excuse to let themselves go, but Jennifer Garner is clearly not that girl! A friend says the star - who?s in her second trimester - has been working out four to five times a week with her personal trainer.
The pal says Jen, 39, is trying to keep her workouts up so she can give in to her cravings without all the guilt.
?Jen?s pregnancy cravings are cookies and cheese puffs,? the friend reveals. ?She knows those calories add up.?

Cookies? Cheese puffs? I wouldn?t think Jennifer would even keep that stuff in stock at her house. She seems like the all-organic-everything type. As for the whole exercising while pregnant thing - I don?t really have an opinion. Don?t most doctors say that women can exercise while pregnant, just not anything really high-impact or super-aerobic? I think Jennifer is just worried about gaining so much weight again.

Everyone’s been speculating about her baby bump for months now, but Jennifer Garner finally announced yesterday that she is pregnant. The Associated Press says:
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s family is growing ? the couple are expecting their third child.
A one-sentence statement released Monday says the actors are “thrilled” to have another baby on the way.
The couple has two daughters, 5-year-old Violet and 2-year-old Seraphina Elizabeth Rose Affleck.
Smart girl. Now she’ll get three times the child support when Ben Affleck gets caught doing rails off a strippers ass on camera. In this economy, it really pays to plan ahead.

I’ll be damned. Jennifer Garner really is pregnant! When Kaiser called it over the weekend, I thought it was yet another false pregnancy report due to the unflattering outfits Garner usually wears. I’ve assumed she was pregnant in the past when that wasn’t the case. Garner and Affleck just announced that they’re expecting their third child, though. Maybe they’re trying for a boy this time.

The couple, who are parents to two daughters ? Violet, 5, and Seraphina, 2 ? are “thrilled” to be expecting their third child, they confirm to the Associated Press.
Garner and Affleck, both 39, have each spoken of being hands-on parents. After Seraphina’s arrival, Garner said juggling acting and motherhood gave her a “split personality.”
“[I] feel like half my brain is somewhere else all the time, but when the camera’s rolling, I pull it together and focus for two minutes,” she said at the time, “and then I kind of turn back to a ditz again.

Well congratulations to them. I guess now that we know Garner was pregnant when she said “there’s no deeper want for a woman” than to be a mother it’s not as outrageous of a statement. It’s still a little out there, but taken in context it makes sense.
We’ve heard plenty of rumors and blind items that there were problems in their marriage, and that Garner is all about family while Affleck is ready to bolt. It would make sense given what they’ve both said to the press and given Affleck’s past. This is not a guy who gushes about his wife like his best friend, Matt Damon. He probably dotes on his kids though.

For a while now, I?ve been defending Jennifer Garner against the constant claims that she?s pregnant for the third time. Garner has said before that Seraphina was her last, and I think it?s rather mean to constantly call bump-watch on Garner whenever she has a small little tummy. Most of the time, it?s just a bad combination of food-babies and unflattering clothes. But over the past few months, there have been several blind items suggesting Garner is knocked up again (despite her rep?s denial in June) and in photos over the last week, I?m starting to wonder:
Is it possible that she?s pregnant again? It would make her fans happy, sure. And I would guess that Garner would be a great mom to yet another kid. It also wouldn?t surprise me if Ben Affleck and Jennifer both decided to ?try for the boy?. But I still get the feeling that if she is pregnant, it?s probably not the happiest news for Ben and Jen, who seem to still be working through some issues in their marriage. Maybe this is how they?re working through those issues - who will pay attention to stories of Ben?s gambling problem or infidelity when a new addition to the Dimple Parade is in our midst?
All of these candid photos are from the past week, but yesterday Garner was at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, where she wore an odd blue dress that seems to be oddly puckering around her midsection. We don?t have access to the photos, but go here to look. I mean, the dress is fitted so I feel like she?s not pregnant and she?s just gained some weight in her midsection. But she totally look pregnant to me.
PS… Her boobs look bigger too, right?

Immediately after Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony split, Us Weekly published a great cover story all about what down in the last weeks of Jennifer and Marc?s marriage. One of the best stories involved Jennifer?s mom, Guadalupe, emailing Ben Affleck and asking for his advice on what Lopez should do. Us Weekly even claimed that Ben replied to Guadalupe, and after that, there were lots of stories about how Ben and J.Lo (Bennifer 1.0) could and should get back together. Oh, and there was also a story about how Guadalupe always adored Ben, because they were gambling buddies, and how she never warmed to Marc Anthony.
Anyway, some people were like, ?OMG, how rude! I can?t believe J.Lo would even get near Ben Affleck, especially since he?s married to The Dimple Princess!? Because this is high school, and exes can never, ever speak to each other, and if they do speak to each other, it means that they?re boning. Well, according to Star Magazine, Ben?s Dimple Princess is getting ready to cut a bitch over this whole situation:
Jennifer Garner isn?t taking kindly to rumors that her hubby, Ben Affleck, reconnected with his ex Jennifer Lopez - and she?s doing her best to make sure it never happens.
Garner is telling friends she will fight like hell to keep her family intact and J.Lo out of Ben?s life. Garner doesn?t believe that J.Lo and her husband should have anything to talk about now - especially since ?they parted in a very unfriendly manner,? says a source.
Jennifer [Garner] has also told friends that she believes family is the most important factor in her life - and she intends to keep her family together forever. My source adds that Ben and Jennifer are ?still very much together and will always put the welfare of their children first.?

Yes, we know that Jennifer thinks ?family? is the most important thing is life. Nay, THE ONLY important thing in life, and she thinks that every woman has ?no deeper want? than to become a mother. I do believe that Garner is a great mom, and that she loves and adores her family, and her girls and her husband are her top priorities in life. I also believe that Garner sees J.Lo as a threat, probably because Garner not only loves her husband, she KNOWS her husband. Ben Affleck is a dog, and his self-destructive streak runs deep, and there are probably lots of women in his life that Garner is threatened by.
Is there a limit to how much she?ll fight back, though? At some point, after Blake Lively and after Jennifer Lopez and after the gambling (which is still a big problem, allegedly), isn?t Garner just exhausted from dealing with all of his baggage and issues? That?s what I always wonder when I photos of them - why is she holding on to this marriage like Ben?s got the last dong on earth? The answer everyone always gives is ?the kids?. Sure, I?ll buy that she?s invested in the marriage for the kids, but at some point, won?t ?self-respect? and ?I can?t deal with his bullsh-t for one more minute? come into play?
Also: this woman cannot find a flattering casual outfit to save her life.

Jennifer Garner is in a new movie called The Odd Life of Timothy Green, which is not out until August, 2012. I will admit to being momentarily touched by this incredibly cheesy trailer for what is undoubtedly an incredibly cheesy movie. You know that glurge category on Snopes, where they debunk stories often involving little children dying somehow, but first touching another person’s life in a way that will never be forgotten? (I should label that SPOILER, because I can imagine this poor kid character dying at the end of this movie in a “he’s too good for this world” twist. Or maybe he’s from a parallel universe and needs to be sent back to it or something.) The glurge category is surely where this film belongs, but people like to switch off their brains sometimes and be force fed cliche plots, so this could be moderately successful.
Anyway Jennifer Garner and her handsome co-star that I’m only being introduced to today, Joel Edgerton, star in this Disney film about a childless couple who wishes a ten year-old boy into existence. (USA Today has him as ten years old, but he looks younger to me.) The boy comes into their lives full of wonder and hope, and transforms them, the whole neighborhood and all their friends and family probably. They did a brief interview to promote this film, which again is not out until next year so I’m not really getting it.
When The Odd Life of Timothy Green opens in August 2012, audiences will meet Cindy and Jim Green (Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton), a couple who have reached a point of despair: They can’t conceive. During a wine-fueled night, the Greens dream up their ideal offspring. He would score a winning goal, just once. He’d be honest to a fault. “Picasso with a pencil,” Cindy wishes.
Soon, a 10-year-old arrives at their doorstep, claiming the Greens as his own.
“He’s a boy with the qualities that his parents hope for,” says director Peter Hedges (Dan in Real Life), but “those qualities manifest in ways they never could have imagined.”
Disney is keeping the boy’s origin under wraps, but the Greens “get nothing more, nothing less” than what they wished for, Garner reveals. “He doesn’t have any emotional memories. He’s completely nave to the way the world works ? someone who’s honest to a fault is called honest to a fault for a reason.”
Garner understands her character’s yearning. “There’s no deeper want for a woman” than to be a mother, says the Hollywood mom, whose two young daughters visited the Georgia set daily in late winter with husband Ben Affleck.
In the film, the Greens must quickly adjust to parenting. It was Hedges’ experience with two teen sons that inspired him to adapt the story by producer Ahmet Zappa for the screen. “I wanted to make a film about what it means to be a parent in the 21st century,” he says.
Timothy Green puts the title role spotlight on young actor CJ Adams, whom Hedges cast in 2007’s Dan in Real Life. And Edgerton is set to have a blockbuster 2012: He soon enters F. Scott Fitzgerald territory as Tom Buchanan in Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby. Next year, “Joel Edgerton is an actor who everyone is going to be talking about,” Hedges says.
But in the world of Timothy Green, a year’s time is all too precious. The new family is “acutely aware of the passing of time,” Hedges says ominously. “We all only get our children for a very short period of time.”

The kid goes back to where he came from probably. That’s pretty much what they’re suggesting, and it seems predictable. I like how they make the kid seem kind of Jesus-y yet kid-like at the same time. I have a seven year-old and he’s also amazing, as are most kids. He just wants to know about everything and he’s starting to make his way in this world, but he’s still very much a kid and very sweet.
I do take some offense at Garner saying that “there’s no deeper want for a woman” than being a mother. That may be true for her, but for so many other women who choose not to have children that’s not the case at all. It’s very difficult to raise kids and props to women who realize it’s not for them. They want other things out of life and I’ll be honest, sometimes I do too. I mean I would never change the fact that I’m a mom, but I know that I’m not ready to have another one. I just want to focus on my one kid and be able to continue my illustrious career gossiping. Other women decide not to be moms. They have other wants that take precedence. That doesn’t mean that the urge for motherhood is somehow deeper than the urge to follow another dream. That comment bugs me. Doesn’t Garner have any childless friends?

Enjoying some quality mom and tot time, Jennifer Garner was spotted shopping in Santa Monica, California with her adorable daughter Seraphina yesterday (July 27).
The precious pair were all smiles as they tended to their hunt for fashionable finds - casual clad Jen sported a black button down shirt with khaki trousers, while 2-year-old Serephina opted for a Pink top and striped skirt.
Just a day before (July 26), the hands-on momma was pictured with her eldest daughter, Violet, with whom she visited a friend in Brentwood.
Garner, who is set to debut her latest comedic fete, "Butter," at this year's Toronto Film Festival, has been fighting off persistent "baby on board" rumors, of which her rep has told press, "The speculation is false, she is not pregnant."

These are just some cute photos of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner out at the farmer’s market this Sunday. They look somewhat annoyed to be papped, although there are also photos of them smiling and interacting. Their daughters are adorable as usual and they look like a happy family whose every move is chronicled by the press.
There’s buzz (by the photo agency) of Garner being potentially pregnant again, but we hear that about her every couple of weeks whenever she wears a loose top. I think this striped number isn’t doing her any favors in that it billows out and gives the optical illusion that she has a bump. Photos of her from Thursday show her with a flat stomach.
Affleck seems to have tamed his wild hair and shaved at some point in the last couple of weeks. The last time we saw him he had some very wiry looking hair and a face full of scruff.
Garner looks so different without any makeup, but of course this isn’t the first time we’ve seen her without it. She barely wears it on a daily basis. Personally I feel naked without it. I’m revealing myself to be high maintenance lately but I almost never go out without makeup on. I’m pale with light eyelashes and don’t feel comfortable without mascara and eye pencil on at least. I guess when you have to wear makeup for your job (and when it sometimes takes hours) you probably don’t want to bother putting it on every day. Like I don’t enjoy getting my hair done because the blowout seems like it takes forever. That doesn’t mean I don’t do my hair every day though, I just do it faster than that.
Oh and here’s the photo where the agency is saying Garner looks pregnant. I see it here, but not in the other pictures.

Talk about a picture perfect family ? Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Violet and Seraphina stepped out for a Sunday brunch in Brentwood, CA yesterday (July 10).
The ?Town? actor and his ?Valentine?s Day? wife, along with their precious gals, were all smiles as they exited Villeta restaurant and strolled down the street.
The night before, Garner stopped by the BAFTA Brits to Watch Gala - where she had the pleasure of shaking hands with Prince William and wife, Kate.
Meanwhile, daddy Ben has been enjoying a less hectic summer than usual and has been able to spend the summer days with his ladies.
